The best bún riêu (tomato crab noodle soup) in town!!! I've tried this dish at many places before and this is the best. They handmade EVERYTHING (toppings, soup) except for the noodles and tomatoes, which is what makes their bowl of noodle so so special. They also gave me some extra snails on the side with a special ginger sauce. The owner is also very friendly, kind, and passionate. Food processing time was super quick, came out within 10 minutes!!!Highly recommend!!!

This shop hang a sign for months, specials $8 "Com Tam Xuon Nuong" and "Banh Cuon Trang Tay." We had to try them.Good location, fairly easy parking but there were only a few clients for lunch on a Saturday. We wanted to try both specials but were told Banh Cuon will take a long time, like half hour, with 2 other orders made by hands with clients waiting. So we ordered $8 special Com Tam and $14 Bun Rieu with $1.75 extra Cha oc. Com Tam was small with 1 small, thin slice of grilled cheap pork loin, shredded pork skin, a fried egg, daikon pickles, a small bowl of soup and a cup of fish sauce. Pork loin was marinaded in fish sauce with galingan smelled and tasted good, but was bony with little meat. In contrast Pho Vie 2 across the street has $8 com tam special with 3x amount of good, meaty pork loin. Vie 2 beef and chicken phos and other dishes are also of good quality and values.Bun rieu is mostly pork bone broth loaded with MSG, with very little crab, small blood cubes and fried tofu, not tasty with that raw, unfermented, fishy, foul-smelling Northern shrimp paste, completely onerous compared to the fully fermented Central and Southern shrimp paste. The extra Cha Oc was mostly pork, not worth $1.75. In comparison, Van's $10 Bun Rieu Oc is way more authentic Northern, tasty, creamy, generous, aromatic, smelling, tasting delicious.Overall we feel this shop was cheapening, skimping on quality and quantity of food, not deliver tasty and good values food to clients. Both dishes are not worth repeating. The only waiter guy was quick and pleasant. He accepted my Amex likely due to complaints on previous posts. The woman owner was out talking to clients she knew, then sat at a table eating a big plate of ripe tomatoes, but she was curt and grumpy, likely due to her business not doing so well with low traffic and very high rent costs in that location. Little Saigon has become a gastronomic zone with hundreds of various Viet eateries selling the same fares in very competitive business, with many owners had to close their shops after trying a few years and lost their life savings. I cannot pretend to offer any suggestions for this owner to improve her business. While she claims authentic Northern cuisine, it's not authentic Northern and not that good, also 95% clients are Southerners with their sweeter taste. I hope her target clients find her shop and like her cuisine.

We came around 1:45pm so in time to order the two lunch specials and we also ordered two bun dishes to try since that's in the name of the shop. The bussing of the dishes was excessively and extremely noisy; there was legit zero care taken in picking up or placing the dishes. I honestly covered my ears for 5-7 minutes while it was going on, it was so ridiculously loud and grating. We order the food and then decide to add on an item (cha oc) so we call the server back; she asks if we need anything else and we also ask for wooden chopsticks (preference of one of the diners). We got the add on but not the chopsticks. There were no condiments at the table so we went and picked it up from an unoccupied table, along with the wooden chopsticks. Let's just say you're pretty much serving yourself. The contents of the bun is pretty light, and the amount of noodles is surprisingly low for that being the cheapest ingredient they can add in. The com tam was very greasy and the banh cuon again didn't have much to offer. Overall, we would never return here again and don't recommend it.Also, despise the credit card stickers on the door, they only accept cash.

The banh cuon here is delicious! My friend and I smothered our plates of banh cuon with nuoc mam and ate so quickly! Service was decent. The usual quick order and occasional check ups. Ambience is your typical Vietnamese restaurant. This one in particular had hue vibes and the workers speak hue Vietnamese as well. The mi was average, not the best and not the worst. I'd come for the banh cuon again for sure. I left an envelope of cash here during lunch and didn't realize I left it until later that day. I called and spoke in English, but they didn't speak English so I called again in the best Vietnamese that I could and thankfully they kept the envelope safe for me! The lady verified my identity with the name on the envelope and the whole amount was there. I'm grateful that they were honest.

Had their speciality Bun Rieu.. it was good but I have had better. Lacked depth of flavor but herbs were fresh and plentiful! Fairly fast service and a clean enough spot. My partner had Bun Mam and felt the same as it lacked flavor depth. I wouldn't go out of your way to come here but not a horrible choice if you are in the area.

Not typical (store bought) Chili packs a light kick.Definitely a good place to go without having wait in long lines.

Good was good but overall experience was meh.Major tip : none of the employees speak English. Bun Rieu : fairly tasty but the broth wasn't hot enough. Crab udon (forgot the name) : I actually thought this was really good. Soup was hot and the flavor was good. A little low on crab but generous with the pork ribs It's a competitive market for this type of noodle in Westminster so I don't think this would be my first choice, solely because the service was mediocre. They were nice but it was hard to get their attention. They also charged us an additional 5 Cha Oc, which I didn't get and the other people in my party didn't order. - because they didn't speak English it would've been difficult to complain. I also asked for water and they never brought us any - definitely short staffed. Felt like it was two people for the whole restaurant to do both front of the house and cook.

Do not come here , they will rip you off due to their slow business, the dish of rice here is not even enough for a 5 yrs old kid to get full, they charged my cup of hot water for $1.50, the waters and waitresses here are family members, very rude and unprofessional, make sure to ask the price if the food before you eat, my bowl of "special" bun rieu costed more $20, what a joke!
