We came here on a date night with another couple. It was my first time there and the atmosphere was nice. We sat inside although the patio with heat lamps seemed pretty inviting as well. The lights inside were a little too bright for my taste, but you get used to it. The chips and salsa were a hit. So much flavor. We asked for the spiciest salsa they had, and they brought us out a habanero salsa that was really good. I ordered the ceviche as my entree since I was already full from the chips and salsa. It was good! The star of the night was the Dusty Bottoms cocktail I ordered...twice. I'm still thinking about it and want to go back just for that drink. I liked it a lot better than the Howdy Doody I ordered. No, I'm not a lush. The servers were great and overall, it was a good time.

My wife and two kids had dinner here for the first time last night. We were all happy with everything. The staff was courteous and attentive. The decorations are tasteful and deliberate. We liked the booth seat that still allowed my son to watch the basketball games on the bar TVs. I was skeptical of mushroom queso, but it was possibly my favorite queso dip ever... It's not the cheapest Mexican you can find, but it may be the best Mexican restaurant in Yorba Linda. We will be back often...

Ambiance was clean and nice vibe. The Scallop tostada and chips were unbelievably good. I was shocked that the chips have salt and pepper. They make their chips and we all raved about them. The beans and rice taste okay. Sister n law had a shrimp salad...the shrimp was super salty. The kids bean burrito was huge. Nephews loved the taquitos.Place wasn't busy. Took a while to get silverware and our glasses stayed empty most of our meal.I would return for the tostadas for sure!

I liked the blind pig. It had a pretty menu, great cocktails, especially Mai tai's. It's now been replaced with a menu centered on Mexican food. Now, I love Mexican cuisine. There are indeed some good items on this menu. But there was some major missing pieces in quality that make this restaurant lower in tier than El Cholo, Gabbis, Javier's, Chaak. So the good. The cocktails of course are great. They make great margaritas, have a large selection of tequila/mezcal and still sell those awesome Mai Tais. Zero complaints on alcoholhere, and you come here only for alcohol, then you always leave satisfied. Service was fine and no complaints. Ambiance is very bar centered as it previously was. Food? I enjoyed my cod. It was a unique item for a Mexican restaurant. I would order that again. That being said, I did not enjoy anything else. The tostadas were far too sweet forward. The beans have zero flavor, and I ate one bite before I stopped eating them. The enchiladas were a similar disappointment. The basics need some work here. Great cocktails and service, but the restaurant needs to ensure better quality bean recipe, and basic Mexican recipes to stand out.

Visited this place since we missed Blind Pig but it's the same enjoyable place for drinks and food, just Mexican flavors. They started us off quickly with complimentary chips and salsa for the table while we decided on food. The drinks were all great and the ceviche was fresh and tasty. The service was excellent as they refilled our chips and salsa without asking. They also asked if we wanted to try their habanero salsa which was a bit spicier than their red and green ones. Overall cool vibes here if you're around the area!

It's so hard to review Mexican food! There are so many options in orange alone! So I liked the chips, that's a big one for me. Very light ceviche, almost a little bland for me. The birria tacos were a little dry and I would've love some consomé on the side. The nachos were ok, I always prefer my nachos on a flatter surface, unless they are layered there's never enough topping that way. The service was great! Our server was very nice and informative. I think she was taking care of most of the restaurant so that slowed her down but you can tell she was trying her best. For being small, it doesn't feel very crowded. Definitely a standard cantina style, big round bar in the middle of dinning room. I am not sure if the outside patio is open...The cocktails were 10/10 and this is why I would like to come back and try other dishes.

I was surprised to see this changed from Blind Pig to Blind Coyote. The inside looks pretty much the same and seems to just be a rebranding with a focus on Mexican food. The service has always been great and I am glad that didn't change. The appetizers are great but the entrees are a miss for me. My favorite by far was the chicken taquitos. I love that they serve the table side chips with black beans, those were great mixed with some salsa. The miss for me was the chile verde. I wish there was more meat especially for the price. The chile verde was overly salty but I was able to tame it down with the beans and rice. Their rice and beans are solid though.Their happy hour seems decent and I'll probably come back to try some other apps. I am eyeing the octopus one, I am hoping it is like a ceviche of some sort.

I REALLLLLLY wanted to like this place knowing it's so close to my house but unfortunately the food was a huge disappointment. I ordered a milanesa torta which was basically deep fried chicken without any flavor. Sadly I had to send it back because I could not down it. Then I ordered chicken tacos, which were also bland. On the upside, the ambiance is nice and cozy and service is great. If they actually decide to add flavor to the food, I'll give it another try.

Tonight I went for cocktails at The Blind Coyote I had spicy cucumber jalapeño margaritas and the were delicious I ordered Birria tacos and taquitos which both were cooked to perfection they also served two kinds of salsa both red and green. The interior of the restaurant is very cute and cozy with seating around the large bar and a nice patio for outside parties. Definitely a must try again spot I'll return for the fajitas.
