Blend Cafe

We stopped at Blend for coffee and a quick breakfast as we checked out of the Balboa Bay Club Resort. Julia B. assisted us. She was very professional, sweet and proficient. The exact employee you would want on staff as a barista at a coffeehouse.The coffee and latte we ordered were on par. We also purchased a yogurt with granola and berries which were delicious. We ordered a protein bomb which was a bit dry for my taste but good. The coffee shop is a very cute gift shop as well. Of course many items are expensive. It is in a Newport Beach resort so it is to be expected as well. Stop in if you are at the resort. Easy to walk to as well if you are in the Newport or balboa area.

Good coffee and had a great chocolate croissant. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because of the smaller breakfast options

Blend is a combination coffee, tea, snacks, souvenirs, concessions spot inside the Balboa Bay Club and resort. It so beautiful, clean, modern & uncrowded that it may just be worth paying for parking to grab a coffee and read here instead of a Starbucks or Coffee Bean.

They have a nice selection of panini sandwiches (veggie, ham and cheese, prosciutto) and their zucchini bread was yummy. They also have little pretzels with hummus that were good as well. However, we ordered three "meals" and with them you get chips, a cookie or chips and they stiffed us on the sides and the salad dressing! When we went back for the dressing they gave us a tiny amount that was ridiculous - it barely was a tablespoon in the cup! Stingy! Also, for 2 sandwiches and a salad it was $43 and no sides, or dressing. Insane! Their honey tastes super artificial as well. The staff was friendly enough though. But you get complimentary coffee and tea around the corner.

Saw a manager Treat a barista with disrespect with foul language. I am appalled and will NOT be returning. Respect to coworkers is JUST as important as respect to the customer. I would hope this was a one time occurrence.

Very nice to have a high quality coffee shop inside the resort. The latte's were spot on although my wife's mocha needed a bit more chocolate flavoring. The food was really good and reminded me of my favorite place back home. BBR, success achieved--making you feel at home. Can't wait to come back.

Good snacks, good Frappuccino's, but iced coffee tastes like feces. They have some good food too.

Me and my sisters are in love with Blend. Something about the coffee here is so good. Really nice staff and the pastries are good too :)
