Not sure how I didn't discover this hidden gem. Used to go to this place when it was in a different location and had a different name. So glad it is back and even closer. Wraps and sandwiches are great. Some good daily specials too.

It is such a treat to have a fast, friendly, and most importantly tasty lunch spot for the employees of the Santa Ana Civic Center area!Today was my second time ordering from Primo Nosh and it did not disappoint. Today I had the lunch special which was manicotti with a garlic knot and veg. The pasta was fresh, the sauce had some depth, and the filling was flavorful and robust. The garlic knot was light and full of buttery goodness and hit the spot. My only recommendation would probably be 86'ing the veg, and maybe offering a small side salad for an up charge. To get my salad fix I ordered a chicken caesar, and that was great too! For two full meals it cost me 19.64 including tax, and I feel it was such a value for the quality food you are receiving. With all the leftovers I have I'll also have a filling and delicious lunch tomorrow as well!Hopefully the County continues to renew this contract because I will most certainly become a regular.

01.17.24 I walked with a coworker to this cafe which is located inside of a county building. The cafe is on the first floor past the lobby. Very attentive staff behind the counter. Menu is clearly posted and very easy to read. Making up your mind or deciding what to eat - that might be a challenge. Bread and pastries are made right there and Omar is the name of the dedicated baker. I wasn't thinking of getting anything but the special for today which was lemon chicken looked pretty good. Yes, I'm glad I tried the lemon chicken plate and I wished I took a picture to share before I attacked my plate. Deeleeciousnessss!!! The right amount of lemon on the gravy and chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy were perfect with the lemon chicken. We got to meet the owner Johnny (sp) - he's awesome! The very best wishes to his success in this cafe!!!

Mediocre food but convenient for people who work in the surrounding areas. I don't mind paying a little more for the convenience even though the food is average at best. But recently they've raised prices again and it's no longer worthwhile despite the convenience factor. Their specials are always hit or miss, but at $12 plus tax it's not worth the risk. Also, the portion sizes have shrunk while the prices have inflated. They price themselves as if they are a destination lunch counter that foodies will actually go to but it's really just basic mediocre food served at a lunch counter that people go to because it's convenient. If not for the convenience, this place would not survive. The sandwiches are always cold despite warming everything in a panini press. And they don't usually have regular bread - sandwiches are made using their rolls which are, sorry to say, not good. The salad are made using iceberg lettuce and are as basic as they come (see posted pics to see what I mean). Like everything else, the salads are overpriced for what you are getting. The pizzas and calzones are pre-made and warmed up upon ordering. And they are, again, mediocre and average at best. Muffins are good but at $5, a ripoff. Even Starbucks doesn't charge $5 for a regular blueberry muffin. This place lucked out with the location but have not provided a viable lunch spot that people actually want to eat at. They rely on convenience due to their location to bring in customers and serve them basic, overpriced, mediocre food. Unfortunately with not many lunch spots within reasonable walking distance, it becomes an option for desparate people who need a quick meal. Hopefully the owners take note. Or a differne owner comes in and provides a lunch counter that a) serves good food and b) doesn't price gouge and try to rip off their customers with cheap, basic, average food options.

This is a great addition to the our location! I hope for Johnnys sake he's gone to other surrounding locations to do the invites to our sister buildings. The daily specials are great, priced well, portions phenomenal, and hot. John has a great selection of drinks, snacks, and the service is spot on. I only have one suggestion, and that would be to add a large salad with a protein, like egg, avocado, mozzarella, etc like a full meal. That would be nice.I understand keeping prices low for grand opening, but you proved your point and "food cost" is high Johnny! You do the work, and it's appreciated!! Definitely can't find this anywhere for close to these prices anywhere else, I mean, Johnny you make your own bread! Don't cut yourself short! "Slugway "charges $14 for a lunch, no drink! Mc Doo's prices went up for hardly something you might want to eat! So might point, Johnny; you work hard, the food is great and reward yourself for that. Have a great Holiday.
