BenGong's Tea - Garden Grove

Every time I come to this plaza, I always have to pass by Bengong's Tea! I think the drinks are fine for the price. We did get offered a 10% discount, and they have a wide selection to choose from compared to others along the same strip. The peach oolong was not too sweet, so I could still taste the notes of tea. It had a nice heap of whipped cream which I could tell was freshly made. There is seating both inside and outside, very clean. And I appreciated the sign in front of the entrance with pictures of the top 6. Makes choosing a lot easier!

Hello, brew-tea-fulSpacious spot with nice staff. Half of the place is a restaurant and half is a boba spot. There's 2 kiosks in the front if you don't want to order at the register. Restroom for customers only. It gets the job done. More of a place if you need quick boba without the lines. The decor is a bit lacking compared to other BenGong locations I've been to. I think the restaurant next door makes this place really stuffy, as it feels like it lacks AC... had to step outside for fresh air.

I used to live in Baltimore where Bengong was really the only boba option I liked in the area, so I was excited that we finally had one in Garden Grove and wanted to see how it compared.PARKING:Decent sized lot shared with other businesses.WHAT I ORDERED:Peach oolong milk tea with cream topGolden sesame milk slushTHE DRINKS:Honestly, I wasn't as blown away by the peach oolong tea as I thought I'd be. The tea itself was a little bland and I wasn't able to taste the oolong as much as I'd be able to taste it at other boba shops. The peach was a nice fragrant touch, but the cream top was not as rich as I would have expected. The barley inside was an interesting addition though. But the sesame milk slush was definitely much better! The amount of cream on top balanced well with the bolder slush.SERVICE:Pretty standard. You order on a kiosk and it comes out pretty fast.VIBES:A little bit of a weird setup. It's connected to to the neighboring Sichuan restaurant, only separated by a little barrier and it shares the same bathroom. Not too aesthetic but there's enough seating to bring friends and hang.BOTTOM LINE:I wasn't as impressed, but I wouldn't mind coming back to give it another chance, especially after having been around longer.

They have a 15% discount during their soft opening time. A clean, spacious seatings. They also have the LARGEST ice cream scoop, which I thought it was a very generous size. Got french fries but it was not too crispy. Service is a little slow though.But definitely check it out if you want to hang out over boba drinks.

After enjoying lunch locally, I had a craving for a boba beverage. Thanks to my trusty yelp app I was excited to see that a Ben Gong's had recently opened.I'm a fan of this chain and have visited several of other locations. This location is in a strip center so parking was convenient and complimentary. I noticed the menu offerings here offered a larger variety of drink options. I ended up select the Passionfruit super fruit which was a lighter option, and it was loaded with a variety of fresh fruit. Shout out to the female boba barista who was friendly and knowledgeable.BengGong's is one of my favorite tea shops and I'll certainly be returning.

I tried their pistachio cloud milk tea and thought it was pretty good, it was a pretty light flavor and not too sweet. The service was fast, you can either order on the tablet or at the counter, and they have a pretty large drink selection. There's a decent amount of seating inside if you want to chill with friends, and the cups are pretty cool.

I came here for boba. I was coughing, and the male bobarista (I didn't get his name) gave me lemon tea for my throat. I thought it was very sweet. I gave this location 5 stars for service.

Update: I tried their mango sago pomelo and it's even better than the Peach Oolong tea!! That's our go to drink now. It's like drinking dessert in a cup. It's the only drink I'm willing to pay almost $7 for, literally twice a week! They still have their 10% off promotion!!!

Bengong was an amazing boba spot! We got the Strawberry and Mango Yakult with boba and thoroughly enjoyed our drinks. It was the right amount of sweetness with the boba being perfectly coated with brown sugar and chewy. We ordered at the kiosks, but workers didn't hesitate to give us a smile on the way in. There aren't many seats inside as it's combined with a nearby restaurant. However, the store is nice and cozy.
