I always see this on campus, so I decided to try it because the reviews were pretty decent for a campus cafe, but oh how I wished I didn't ! (Obviously, you cannot expect much from these type of stands, but the reviews were a little deceiving) Drinks: Matcha latte (hot) 0/5 Whoever said this was good, I want you to taste real matcha and come back here to revoke that statement. This drink is nowhere remotely close to the word good. It literally tasted like they melted 10 bars of white chocolate, decided it didn't taste sweet enough so they dump in an extra 5 grams of sugar. Then proceed to melt some kinda concoction in there that caused it to taste like plastic. Perhaps the matcha was the friend we made along the way! ADDITIONALLY, they surely implied the hot cause this thing was hottt. Service: 3.5/5 Not much you can say since it's a takeout spot, but they took long to prepare mine and there was only one person ahead of me and no one behind.

Been attending CSUF for 4 years now and never tried this place. My goal is to finish classes and go home but my GF bought me coffee so I can stay on campus longer... it worked! The shop is a little hut located between the Humanities building and Gordon Hall. I liked the matcha green tea because the flavor wasn't overpowering and tasted more sugary. The Vanilla Latte was great and honestly a top latte that I've had. Bagel was burn't but still good. Recommend both drink!Tips: theres tables all around and line can be long, just depends if it's passing period or not!

I visited Aloha Java for the first time this morning and had a pleasant experience. I've been working at CSUF for a couple years now and I still never got a chance to stop by until today! There was two people in line. One girl had a longer transaction but it was maybe because she had to get gift cards. My coworker and I ordered and I decided to get a hot small matcha green tea which came out to be $4.00. I thought the small is a little too small (LOL) but this drink and others were pretty reasonably priced. Our drinks were prepared rather quickly and you pick up in the back. My matcha green tea was just alright haha. It was rather sweet. I had ordered with light whipped cream but my drink didn't taste like quality fresh, matcha but more like a generic powder. It also tasted very vanilla, which I've grown to not enjoy as much. Overall the drink was okay, I think I'll definitely try to stick with the coffees next since they seem to have a great selection!Note: There is a 4% Customer Service Charge applied to all Credit Card transactions so my drink was $4 flat when I paid in cash. Overall, my experience for the drink was more of a 3-3.5ish star, rounded up to 4 for the nice staffers/customer service. I'd come back but maybe not get the matcha and get a coffee instead.

Great affordable coffee shop on CSUF campus. My favorite drink is their raspberry iced tea. They also offer great snacks like croissants and bagels. Their service is extremely fast! Plenty of tables outside to sit on and enjoy your drink/food.

They told me I wasn't allowed to get a hot water and use the sugar for tea I brought from home...I have never been turned away just because I wanted a hot water with sugar. Felt so embarrassing to be turned away for water. I was even willing to pay but she said the sugar was for "customers only" even though I was paying for the water anyway

Aloha Java is the only campus eatery where you can get a toasted bagel with cream cheese. In addition to bagels, they have a good variety of croissants and breakfast muffins. Their beverage menu includes the standard selection of lattés, frappés, teas and Italian sodas one would expect to find at larger indoor seating cafés.Service is fast, efficient and friendly. Note: there is no longer a $0.75 surcharge for using your debit or credit card for purchases under $3. Open Mon-Thurs: 6:30am to 7pm, Fri: 6:30am to 1pm.

As many have mentioned below, I recommend the chai bomb. I personally like it blended which is about $4.25. I love passing by this small box of a coffee shop because the aroma is so inviting. They're always playing good music as well. This is a good substitute from when all the other cofee shops (Starbucks) on campus are too crowded which from anytime before 6PM they all usually are. This is an outdoor establishment with the seating as the round tables nearby. You order by the cashier side of the box and pick up at the opposite end of the box with all the sugars, creamer, etc. I've never had any of the pastries but I've tried the red eye, black eye, and chai stuff. All of these were good!Last favorite thing is that the drinks are already fairly priced and they don't add tax into your total. As a college student, these little "discounts" matter.

I have been going to this place for the past 5 years and they just know what I always want. Everyone who works there is super nice and friendly, especially CONNIE!!! Great conversations and great drinks and great pasteries and great customer service and great place to sit since it's around a lot trees. It's nice and cool to sit outside where you can read and do your work!

service is good, coffee comes fast, but the coffee is midif u want strong coffee prolly not the best place but to each their own

The matcha bombs HIT with caffeine, it brought my heart rate up by 40 bpm but that goes to show that it works!!
