Absolutely Incredible Italian Dining by the Beach! If you're looking for authentic Italian cuisine with a stunning beachside atmosphere, this is the place to be! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, with beautiful outdoor seating that perfectly complemented the coastal breeze. The food? Simply outstanding! Every dish was crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients, bursting with rich and authentic flavors. The homemade pasta was cooked to perfection, the seafood dishes were fresh and flavorful, and the wood-fired pizzas were heavenly--crispy, cheesy, and absolutely delicious. The service was top-notch--attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. Our waiter even recommended a fantastic wine pairing, which elevated the meal even more.Whether you're looking for a romantic date night, a family dinner, or a relaxing meal with friends, this Italian gem by the beach is an absolute must-visit. Can't wait to come back!

It was my third time at Alessa, and it unfortunately would be the last time. My friend and I came on a weekday when the restaurant wasn't too busy with lots of empty seats. It took over 30 minutes for our entrees to come out. The server, Luca, was friendly and nice but he didn't come back during that 30 minutes of us waiting for our entrees to give us an update. When I lost my patience and asked for my entrees to be boxed, Luca came out and said the kitchen messed up my food orders?! Like, sir, you had so much time to tell me that instead of letting me just sit there and wait! Also, I had a stomachache after eating their calamari. Unsure if it was from their dipping sauce or the oil they used to fry the calamari. But Im so sure I won't be back again.

Came for drinks, got the Positano Sunset! Very strong. Good views (not of the ocean, sadly) and seating was fast.Edit: we also got a meatball. Just one! Apparently you can get as many number as you want. It was great!! Highly recommend.

I always like to plan before visiting a restaurant by checking out their menu on their website or Yelp. I noticed they had a lunch menu and found something I wanted to order. When I visited the restaurant, the server only gave us the dinner and drink menus, so I asked for the lunch menu. Our group enjoyed outdoor dining at the restaurant because the weather was nice and sunny. What we ordered:WILD TURKEY PANINI (Smoked turkey breast, Gouda, crispy bacon, organic Roma tomato, basil mayo, lettuce) - Available on the Lunch Menu. Advertised as the Best Italian Sandwich in Laguna Beach. Personally, I didn't think it was the best I've tried, but the portion was reasonably GENEROUS.CALAMARI FRITTI (Crispy fried calamari, Arrabbiata sauce) - A good shareable plate for the group. The portion was also GENEROUS, and the sauce complemented the calamari well.PESCATORE RISOTTO (Tiger shrimp, calamari, Manila clams, heirloom tomato, white wine reduction) - The size of the seafood was IMPRESIVE. They were big, and the collection of seafood almost covered the plate. However, I found the overall taste of this dish to be oversaucy. I believe it would be much better with half the amount of sauce.

We went here for dinner after enjoying the summer art festivals. It was a beautiful night to enjoy dinner on the outside patio and the service was excellent. The food was excellent and the portions were large. I enjoyed a glass of wine to start. They serve very fresh bread and a pesto dipping sauce that was very good.I ordered the Pollo Limoncello on the waiter's recommendation. It did not disappoint. My friend had the Pasta Shells with Pesto and Shrimp and really enjoyed it. We both had at least half left over to take home. I look forward to returning to try another dish.

This is one of my favorite restaurants EVER. I come here all the time with my mom for our special occasions or just a fun night out on the town. I rave about the butternut squash ricotta ravioli. It's to die for OMG!!! The service is top notch and always accommodating to my mom who has a gluten allergy. Will always love this place!

We decided to try this place on our walk down the street. There's a few other restaurants and this one had a great menu and price point. Unfortunately, food was just sub par. Looks authentic but it's really just kinda average. Seashell pasta-small portion and just kinda meh. Didn't taste the lobster flavor. 5 pieces of shrimp. Meat lover pizza was just ok (not addicting as it says) lol. Overall good experience and ambiance. Would come back and maybe try something different. I think these dishes would be more filling if they added a salad or soup as a part of the meal. The best thing we ate was the bread with green pesto type oil to dip.Ambiance and service 5/5
