Albert Primos Mexican Food

To my astonishment, these nachos are the most exceptional I have ever tasted. Having patronized numerous Mexican establishments in La Habra, I am compelled to declare this as my new preferred destination.

Had a super fries late afternoon with my friend who met me. Thanks Daniel for making a superb super fries for us.. 1st time trying. Will try something new next month:)

The Good - This visit was on 1/11/25 and is my first time ordering here. The amount of food you get is just right considering the price. I ordered the super fries and the size of the fries are not the usual fare like all the other Albert variants. They were very similar to the size of McDonalds fries. Fries were still crispy when I got home with the food. Meat was seasoned well. Did not find any gristle or chewy bits. Whoever prepared it this time nailed the proportions. It was just the right amount of cheese, meat, etc. They have a self serve salsa bar. Overall I was satisfied with my order.The Bad - Unfortunately, my experience was soured because after I finished getting what I wanted from the salsa bar, I thanked them, and headed out....but not before the one who rang me up scolded me because apparently I took too much salsa - from a SALSA BAR! I took 5 small containers worth of salsa which I thought was pretty reasonable since it's a huge order. Additionally, they were closing so I figured they would be throwing away the salsa. Please don't tell me they plan to use that salsa for the next day?! The staff said I would only be able to get 2 containers next time even though I don't see any signs discussing the amount or limit each person can take home

Good food came here will be coming back Salsa bar is good freshly made. Not to expensive staff is koo. I would recommend trying out this spot..

This place is so good. The food is so tasty and good. I love everything about this place the food, super clean and self serve salsa bar. It's a must try I have lived in La Habra over 20 years and this is the spot to hit up on La Habra blvd. We have tried almost everything and every is good. The fresh waters have lots of favor. Service is amazing they are all super nice and happy in there. Small inside seating with tv with a great ambience. You well not be disappointed.

Everything we ordered was fantastic! Great customer service and excellent food. Best Mexican fast food spot in Orange County. Highly recommended!

Saw this place next to wing stop and got on yelp to see what kind of Mexican place this was. I noticed it was the same menu you see at any place named Albert or some variation of it. I knew by the menu I wanted to try it. I parked and saw the word Primos. I thought to myself is there a chance that this place is owned by same guy I've bought Mexican food for the last decade down the street from here? When I walked in a saw a familiar face, but he looked different because he was shorter than the guy down the street. As soon as he called me primo I was confused and said there is no way because he was so much shorter. Then I asked him if he was the same guy from down the street and he said si primo. I knew the food was going to be legitimately good. He told me that the other place had a higher floor. I saw the cook and he was also from the place down the street. I knew this was going to be my go to Mexican place and it's closer to my home. The food was great and the best thing about here. Free salsa bar! No extra charge like the other place.

Food was so delicious and generous portions, the service was friendly and loved the salsa bar! Can't wait to try many more dishes.

It's a fail. The carne asada on the super fries was very salty. I called to warm them and get a fresh one made. They said sure. The following day when I went to get my replacement, they said I need to return with the person in charge was there. I called that afternoon they gave me the run around. I asked for a refund. They said someone would call me, never did. I noticed they are happy and cool, but once you do bring something to their attention they are rude.Happened the 2nd time I went too. Just like the one on Whittier.Good luck

Once I ordered my chilaquiles rojos I heard my tortillas drop into the hot oil. Yes you can make chilaquiles with yesterday's stale chips but if you want to do it right, they have to be fried just before you drench them in hot, cooked salsa. That's how they do it here at Albert Primos. A few minutes later my black clamshell container came out and it was heavy. This should be good! One compartment contained fresh Mexican rice - a rarity in the morning even at a sit down restaurant. The second compartment contained refried beans - authentically soupy, with a buttery aftertaste. Main compartment had chilaquiles which was layered, from bottom to top: chips, yellow and white cheese, chips, red sauce, perfectly fried eggs, red sauce, pico de gallo, sour cream. I ate everything even though it was strange to have melted cheese in the middle. I'm used to queso seco on top but still, this was great. I'll be back to try the verde version.
