Abuelita's Birria Fresh Mexican Food

Catered a lunch meeting and everyone was jazzed about how tender and flavorful the birria was! Consommé was perfect; so hot that the container lids warped. Love the veggies in the rice. I'll definitely order from here again.

I waited 37 min for 3 tacos and they were still not ready so I asked if they can cancel my order since it was late at night and still had to drive for a long period of time thankfully they did cancel it

So my kid offered to DoorDash from this place for dinner on a Thursday, and of course I said yes (cuz she's paying)! I've never heard of this place so was curious and looked it up.Well, I found out that I'm also new to the restaurant co-op concept. Apparently, this is inside South Coast Takeout off of S. Broadway near Central Avenue. It's like a food hall with 20+ restaurants, but everything is ordered on touch screen kiosks (or online). The restaurants are essentially ghost kitchens so the building is small, and when order is ready, it is picked up at the pickup station located inside the main entrance (or delivered if using food delivery service, such as DoorDash). There is no seating in and around the building as of July 2023. There are other delicious looking restaurants as well, so I think it's worth checking out: https://southcoasttakeout.com/We ordered two of the 3 quesabirria tacos + rice and beans ($15.49ea), quesabirria quesadilla ($13.99), and birria burger & fries ($14.99, limited time only). They definitely stuff their tacos with the delicious birria! The consome was rich with flavor. If anything, I didn't get enough rice compared to hubs' quesabirria plate, and the beans had a smoky flavor that I didn't like (it was as if they burned the beans but still used the beans that weren't burnt). The birria burger came with toasted bread instead of a hamburger bun (the hamburger bun is pictured online), but it was still good.Overall, everything was pretty yummy and they give you a lot of food! A great birria option in OC (I do have a favorite in LA).

This is a kiosk in an industrial area and not a restaurant. It is a shared space with other restaurants and is essential a hub for Doordash, Uber Eats, Grubhub, etc. I don't even think that the food is prepared on site. It doesn't even smell like food inside.

Great Birria Taco's! The meat has a wonderful flavor. Fast service will order again soon.

We ordered this from DoorDash. Soooo good and huge portions. Recommend the Birria tacos and wet burrito - also the tamale! I will definitely be ordering again and might even try in person dining here.

Food slaps, it's my go to take out atm. It's not a dine in place & they never claimed to be. & I'm confused on why people can't wrap their head around the fact that it's a small business. & they are blaming the restaurant for 3rd party delivery drivers mistakes. I LOVE the food my fiancé loves the food & my picky mother loves the food. 10/5 stars.

Been waiting an hour and a half for my food. It's still not ready to be picked up. Literally about to just sleep and not eat. What a waste of money. It said 30-45 minutes. Do not order at night.Update: ordered at 2:11am. Original delivery was 2:45-3:00am. Finally gave up at 4:00am. I have no idea when they dropped it off but I saw it at 11:00am on the porch and it is inedible. I want a full refund.

Omg they have so many great options!! Such a lovely variety!! You've got to try it!! They even have the birria tamales!!!
