Great sandwiches and they're huge! Got the veggie and the eggplant parmigiana for myself and husband we were not aware how big they were 2 sandwiches turned in to four meals.They're also not stingy with ingredients it was fully loaded with everything I've been once inside just to do some grocery shopping too and they have an interesting variety of things straight from Italy.I definitely will be back

My favorite is the Italian Sausage and Peppers, a hot sandwich that outshines even the famous "Belly Busters" from Busy Bee. For just $12.95, you get a generous helping of their homemade Italian sausage, melted mozzarella, and sautéed peppers and onions, all topped with marinara sauce and served on a freshly baked, soft French roll. It's not just the price that's better than Busy Bee's $20 sandwich--it's the quality.For cold sandwich lovers, the A-1 Deluxe is a must-try, featuring a classic combination of ham, salami, mortadella, and coppa with provolone on a French roll. When you're hungry for a nice big delicious sandwich this is the spot for you. The prices are below most Sandwich places in San Pedro. Parking can be a little hard as only street parking available.A1- has meat to purchase for your next BBQ , Frozen Fish,Lobsters,Clams,And Crab legs. Give it a shot.

This shop is easy to overlook given the location and the nondescript exterior but if you're a local it's a good option for some quality Italian ingredients. You can find great pastas in the freezer section, inexpensive semolina flour for making your own pasta, and some harder to find items like pastina. The selection of cheese and cured meats could be better in my opinion but they also carry cevapcici, which is nice.

Best beef dip in Pedro! Great little market for imported foods. They also have all the fresh in-house made fixings for pizza. Plenty of easy parking on 8th St too.They have an excellent deli and some easy to make pre-fixed items, like marinated chicken breast or they're excellent sausages, and several pasta dishes in their freezer section. I love going into this market and just spending a good hour going from aisle to aisle.

I have been going to A1 dince i was a little girl. So glad to see it upgraded and still have great food. Love the pizza dough. Much better than I can do.

Amazing sandwiches. Simply the best I've ever had. The service always very nice and they're willing to modify sandwiches to your taste. It's a nice chill spot with good music.
