This bakery is one of the best OC bakeries ATM and that says a lot since it seems like there's a trendy bakery popping up at every corner nowadays. There was no wait, but I got there around 12pm on a Thursday and there were still several items available. I'm assuming they have a more options available the earlier you get there. Service was awesome, the gentleman at the counter was very nice and knew a lot about the pastries. The store had an industrial and modern vibe to it. What I ordered:1. Rosemary Foccacia 10/10: this focaccia was DELICIOUS. Soft and pillowy on the inside. I would absolutely recommend this. My family and I had it with pasta that evening and it was so perfect. 2. Ube cruffin 10/10: amazing! I've had many so called "Ube" pastries and the Ube in this cruffin tastes like true Filipino ube. Too many bakeries like to put "Ube" in their pastries, but tastes nothing like the real thing. It looks like it would be too sweet, but it's not. I would get this again. 3. Butter croissant 9/10: Flaky and buttery. A simple, but amazing croissant. 4. Chocolate chip cookie 8.5/10: a really great cookie and I feel like I'm a cookie connoisseur lol. Perfectly baked, golden brown and chewy on the inside. It is obvious that they use high quality chocolate. 5. Monkey Queen 8/10: this was good, I loved the texture. The inside was moist and the crunchy edges were the best part. It was just a tad sweet, but that's my preference as I don't like overly sweet pastries, but still good.6. Iced pistachio latte 7/10: there was a little too much milk in the latte, so the espresso to milk ratio was off, but a decent latte. I believe the pistachio syrup is house made and I really appreciate that. Everything was eaten so quickly and I didn't get the chance to take photos of everything, but this bakery is absolutely worth checking out.

Came on a Thursday at 9am. From time of arrival till the time I paid, it took me 17 minutes. Parking is very limited on the street, but cars are constantly leaving, so I got a spot within 3 minutes of arriving. Spent $84 to try out a some items.Beurre Disigny AOP Butter - decent, but I don't think I'll purchase it again.Rosemary Focaccia - fluffy and good texture, but needs a little bit more flavor. Heirloom Bluecorn Sourdough - crunchy on the outside with a nice bouncy texture on the inside. I would buy this again, but would love if it was a bit more sour.Butter Croissant - fantastic. GET IT! Pain au Chocolat - skip it. Chocolate Chip Cookie - okMonkey Bread Croissant - good chewy, crispy texture. I'd get it again.Ube Cruffin - very good. Yummy filling and topping with and great pastry. Get it.

Just stick to the breads and pastries...but do come early. We came the first time at 12:30 and everything was sold out, thus, they already stop selling their coffees and matcha.Came the second time around 11:45am and they had a few plain croissants and sourdough bread. Got one of each and a matcha latte, along with the pistachio coffee.Their croissants and sourdough bread was wow - amazing. Defiantly worth it.As for the coffee-ehhh I had better...especially the matcha. I even asked for extra matcha which I doubt they added any because it tasted like pure milk-even the color isn't as "green" for the amount that I've requested.Customer service-could be better. I asked the cashier what he recommended, he said matcha and pistachio so I opted for them..then a few minutes later he asked me what flavor I wanted for my coffee...huh I thought I ordered the pistachio. They seemed very distracted..or just not care much since they have plenty of customers already...and I've noticed some customers were offer a paper handbag to put all the pastries inside while others were expected to just hold 5/6 little bags in their handIt's a grab and go so there's no seating inside. There's some tables outside on the side of the store but I didn't see anyone sitting there...Parking-there's plenty in the streets.

Arrived not long after opening on a Sunday morning and there was a long line already. Street parking only. We ordered an ube cruffin, a monkey queen, a butter croissant, and a pain au chocolat. I didn't eat the monkey queen so I won't review that one. 1. Butter croissant - very crispy and flaky and good. But was it worth almost $6?2. Pain au chocolat - also very crispy and flaky, but the one I had was quite empty in the middle, the chocolate was only enclosed in the small folds on each side. I was a little disappointed.3. Ube cruffin - marshmallow dollop on top was a nice touch to the aesthetics. It didn't add to the flavor of the cruffin and it doesn't adhere to the top of the cruffin. The cruffin itself is again crispy and sweet, and they've filled it with a small amount of ube filling that doesn't take away from the flaky crust on the outside. This was about $7.Overall, flaky goodness that comes with a higher price tag. We are uncertain we'd make the drive and wait in line when we can get more bang for our buck elsewhere. They are known for their unique blue corn sourdough which we didn't try.

Absolutely loved this spot! Still in the early days so the line gets long. I showed up 30 min before they opened and had about 15 people ahead of me. From the time they opened it only took 30 minutes for me to order and get my pastries. Everything I've tried was amazing but the rosemary focaccia, Ube cruffin, and chocolate chip cookies are 100% the must try items! The sundried tomato pastry was an exception treat as well. Other items I tried were the blue corn sourdough, monkey queen and butter and chocolate croissants, those were also good but I would pick the other items over those any day. All in all I paid $83 for 8 pastries, 2 breads, and an espresso. Fully worth the price!

Went in for the sourdough and ciabatta--everything was baked fresh! We had driven past this place before and noticed the long line, so we finally decided to check out the hype. Can confirm--the lines are still long! That said, the service was quick and efficient, so we were in and out fast. The staff was super friendly, though it was a bit busy, so patience is key. The atmosphere was great, with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors.Definitely worth the visit!

UBE CRUFFIN 5/5Successfully came back to try the infamous ube cruffin and my tip is get there before it opens! This was worth the hour wait, i get the hype. This is the must try item here. The ube is so good and the croissant is so flakey. Honestly i wish i bought more lolCAPPUCCINO/FLAT WHITE 2/5the cappuccino was not good! so sad, it was very acidic. i should've gotten up to say say something but the inside of the place is so busy and intense. The flat white wasn't great either. I hope they start to make more elevated drinks soon, for now, stick to starbucks.

Absolutely worth the hype! Arrived here on grand opening weekend and by the time I got to the front (11AM) they only had the Cinnamon Roll Croissant and Blue Corn Masa Sourdough left. I've never had sourdough so soft and airy. Do those words belong in the same sentence or did this place crack the code on the best sourdough? No seriously I'm sitting here 2 weeks later with leftovers and my toasted sourdough is as fresh as when I had it the first day. They have plenty of outdoor seating but parking can be a challenge so plan accordingly. I think this bakery is really setting itself a part and I can't wait to come back and try more goods!
