So I came along to this restaurant from my Filipino basketball mates and told my Husband let's give this place a try . So finding the place is pretty simple and plenty of parking . This place seats roughly about 44 people. Once we enter the restaurant we were greeted by the owner and the cook . So we ordered pork adobo that is made a little different than your original pork adobo . This adobo is shredded flakes with a little crunch . This adobo wasn't drenched in the oil like most adobo that I've ever had . We also had the garlic fried rice with a fried egg. I'm not a fried egg person but my husband said it was very delicious. The bulalo soup was just right amount of beef broth and not over salty either . This place is worth the try if you haven't been and I think you will come back again .Support local

The fams and I ate here on an early Sunday evening. They'd tried to come on 3 different occasions but kept missing them (I think the owner said they've been short staffed). Well, I guess it just took a little visit with ME to make our first dining experience here happen, lol! Jk jk!!Let me just say that I KNOW Filipino food, as I'm 100% and I know if it's good or not. Putting all biases aside, Sandok is IT!!! Everything we ordered was fresh, and the Lechon Kawali was perfection! It looked dry, but it was all that and more, especially when dipped in the sauce it comes with. The Beef Pares was so damn tender. You could probably get away without even chewing it (but don'ttey it, lol). The sauce is so goooood! Both of the Adobo Flakes (Pork & Chicken) were just as tender, and the egg on top sealed the deal for me. Pair them with a little sinigang broth -- or was it nilaga broth?! I can't remember! -- (ask for it as a side if they have it), and you'll want nothing more. The exception would no doubt be the staples, the stars of the show, the classic dishes of Lumpia, and their Special Pancit! I'll just let the pancit video do the talking. We got a half order, but it was more than enough to feed all 3 of us! Don't forget the citrus (lemon, lime, or the best of the best, calamansi)! The owners are so kind, and you can tell they REALLY put their heart into what they do. They checked in with us often and even chatted a bit about their business. I am going to return for sure. I can say with honesty that this is a true diamond in the rough. I think they could be in a better spot, but hopefully, that won't deter people from coming here. There's a small parking lot outside, and the prices are average. The food is outstanding, and it gets my seal of approval. Overall, I think they will stick around for a while because people can always tell if you're being genuine or not. Sandok is here to stay! Please go and support this local small business!

Glad i stopped by here after work the other day.The owner was very friendly and welcoming.Prices are reasonable. Great portions. I ordered the Bangsilog, without the egg, and the owner gave a side of bulalo soup which was sooo yummy and went perfect with my silog! The milkfish is boneless. Excellent flavor, not salty.

I've been to this restaurant about 3x and it's my go to spot Filipino foodies in Chula Vista/San Diego. It's my favorite place to go every time I crave for chicken inasal (chicken bbq). The chicken leg is marinated to tender perfection and grilled . It's serve with garlic rice, dipping sauce and side of atchara/ the pickled papaya. The homemade pickled papaya was perfectly sweet n tangy I liked it so much and I bought a jar. The Bulalo bone marrow soup is a must order ! If you want to warm up your tummy order a hearty bowl of bulalo. And it is my collagen soup, my year round fave comfort food. The meat so tender and melts in your mouth. You gotta try the cassava cake and buko pandan desserts they're damn delicious made to perfection not too sweet, The customer service is top-notch !!! Very friendly and attentive staff/owners.I gotta come back soon and try the other food in their extensive menu. They are located in South Bay 3rd Avenue in Chula Vista. lots of parking bring the whole family. You can also text or call to order ahead. I think they're closed on Mondays & Tuesday's. And closest at 6pm. Lastly don't forget the crispy lumpia Shanghai it's cooked to perfection! My son's fave! By the way I love the ambiance if you see those hanging ladle in the wall those are - Sandok it means a ladle. And yes, they're the best Filipino cuisine in town.

The food is fresh to order here. Lumpia is crispy, crunchy and made to order and they deliver the food to your table The staff is friendly and attentive. English and Tagalog spoken hereWhat I was impressed with was the quality and freshness of their food! The place is clean, easy to find and plenty of parking. There is enough teal estate for a big groupsI was looking for some halo halo dessert. I'm a big dessert guy and I didn't see it.I ordered a side of rice, it comes with two large scoops-thank you.For drinks, the standard sodas are available in cans.I ordered the full plate of pancit. This was enough to feed two maybe three adults! This is a Lola and Lolo shop but the food is fresh and made to order so be patient.I'll Come back here to support this small business!

Nothing like fried daeng (fish) and sweet pork tocino with garlic fried rice with an egg, sunny side up, chased with bone marrow soup on a rainy Sunday. Good food, great family-style service from this favorite Chula Vista home-in -the-wall.

Sandok, where the flavors are as diverse as my kids' heritage - we lovingly call them our "filLaopinos"! The crispy pata was so good; it should have its own fan club, and I've decided to declare every day a "special day" just to keep ordering it.I'm considering changing my dinner plans to just a perpetual feast at Sandok. It's a place where friendships are forged over crispy pata and beef and my filLaopinos are honorary ambassadors of deliciousness! #FilLaopinoFeast #SandokAdventures

This was the nicest experience! Very nice clean restaurant. Met by two personable ladies, could have been Mom and daughter. A smaller menu but carrying familiar items. We selected lumpia, pancit, and chicken adobo. Though the chicken adobo was not a traditional style for us, it was very tasty. All 3 dishes were nicely seasoned, portion size was ample, and everything made to order! Pricing was competitive. The ladies were very accommodating with napkins, plastic ware, and condiments. They served 3 different sauces and pickled onions that were delicious. The food was very good! You will not be disappointed.
