All were very good. This place did not dissapoint. Good location, clean and good service. The tempura was good, fried crispy and fresh! The sashimi was pretty fresh not bad. Salmon sushi was good, el fuego was nice amount of spice. There wasn't that much rice in the roll which is goodThe toro was kinda disappointing but it wasn't bad. Toro usually melts in the mouth but this one didn't....All in all not a bad place for sushi, pretty good for the price!"

Emmett T. "Domo Kitchen is a longtime Asian eatery located in the Ruffin Village of Kearny Mesa. I was running errands nearby and wanted to give them a try after driving past the business many times over the years. The dining room was empty when I arrived which wasn't a good sign. There were about twelve tables for seating, however at least four of them were filled with all kinds of clutter. They were being used as de facto storage space. That along with the marquee sign above the suite being only half illuminated gave a bad initial impression.A two-sided menu sheet listed the Chinese cuisine while a paper order slip showed the sushi offerings. There were no accompanying menu photos, only a brief description of each item on the back of the slip. The Cut Rolls were discounted by 40% while the Special Rolls were 20% off. I wish places would just list the regular price without inflating them and offering a discount to give the illusion that it's a good deal.I picked two Special Rolls (Hawaiian, Spanish) as part of my meal. The Hawaiian was made up of imitation crab, avocado, cucumber, spicy tuna, green onion, sesame seeds, and ponzu sauce. I am not sure why it was named 'Hawaiian' as there was no component that reflected Hawaii. The roll was strangely cut into 11 segments instead of an even eight or ten. That made for the thinnest pieces I have ever experienced. The Spanish consisted of imitation crab, salmon, cucumber, cilantro, green onion, lemon, and ponzu sauce. This roll was cut into ten pieces. Both rolls were pretty ordinary.I also selected two hand rolls... Eel and Spicy Scallop. The eel was the best item of the evening. The scallops were drenched with hot sauce which wasn't how I envisioned this roll to be made. The protein usually has the spicy component blended into the mix. The service was acceptable, but what led to the downgraded rating was the aspects I described in the first paragraph. It made me feel like the owners didn't care much about the appearance of Domo Kitchen."

Temaki Bar Sushi

Emmett T. "The concept of a dedicated sushi bar serving temaki (hand rolls) seemed solid to me. I wonder why it couldn't survive in the Convoy District and instead has blossomed much further north in downtown Encinitas. We arrived for a recent weekend lunch after finding open curbside parking along Highway 101. Temaki Bar Sushi has a sister location in Las Vegas, but nothing else in California so the folks in North County San Diego are fortunate to have this business in its midst.Thirty-six diners could sit around the central bar. If you add the seats along the countertops adjacent to the front windows and a couple of two top tables, then we're talking a total capacity of about 50 customers. Happy Hour was from 3 to 5 pm on Monday through Thursday. Monthly specials were also offered. The main menu consisted of starters, hand rolls, cut rolls, sashimi, and nigiri. We noticed that minimal staff were deployed to cover all the spots around the bar. Machines to pre-form rice balls and to wrap the cut rolls aided the chefs in the preparation process. Prefilled piping bags containing seafood mixtures were used to fill the interior of certain rolls. While it detracted from the authenticity of making sushi, the speed and efficiency to keep up with orders were maximized. It's likely to be the model going forward to temper the increasing cost of human labor. My friend ordered a five hand roll set which was priced at an affordable $26. We also split the Crispy Bang Bang Shrimp as an appetizer. Gochujang mayo and scallions coated the outside of the shrimp pieces which were mildly spicy. I picked three different a la carte hand rolls that happened to be the most expensive in this sequence... King Crab, Maine Lobster, and Toro. I liked the lobster hand roll the best because of the succulent claw meat. The toro quality was okay but a step down from the local high-end sushi spots.Value was the major positive attribute of Temaki Bar Sushi. You will not find prices like this for hand roll sets in central San Diego or anywhere else in the County for that matter. I thought our lunch experience fell between a four and a five star rating."

The lobby is beautiful, there's more of a nature feel to it.We chose to be seated outdoors, and there is a view of the beach! A lot of people on are on bikes, playing volleyball, using rentals for water activities. I didn't expect how Fun their back area would be, 'coz at the Front the place is so peaceful, but at the back there's so many people hanging out at the beach. Before I made a reservation I asked if they are serving a CRISPY WHOLE SNAPPER and the lady on the phone said they do. After the conversation with the Lady on the phone, it only took us 15 minuites to get into the restaurant and when I was about to order my Snapper fish our server said that they were out. I got dissapointed 'coz that's what I wanted to eat for dinner, but we were already seated so we just ordered the following: *PINA COLADA *CRISPY PORK RIBS *ARTICHOKE FLAT BREAD *SMOKE SALMON CITRUS ROLL *BOUILLABAISSE - Shrimp, mussels, clams, market fish, safron tomato broth, rouille, and baguette. My PINA COLADA was very good. Our PORK RIBS for our appetizer was flavorful, but it was also very Hard, the meats were hard to pull from bones. My Son had a SMOKED SALMON CITRUS ROLL and he said it was fresh and good. For the BOUILLABAISSE, my Husband said he was not impressed about it 'coz he said the broth tasted like a Minestrone soup. But I enjoyed my ARTICHOKE FLATBREAD, there was a good amount of Artichoke on them.Ambiance and service was great, some foods were good and some not. It's just an okay place."

Mushroom salad ($9) was really tasty. 2 pieces of amaebi (sweet shrimp, $26) was perfectly fresh and served with the heads still twitching. You've been warned! They'll deep fry them for you later. We got 5 pieces of salmon belly sashimi ($47.50). Pieces were generously sized and extremely fresh. We ordered two pieces of yellowtail belly nigiri ($9.50) and 5 pieces of regular salmon ($20). Otherwise, it's a small parking lot supporting multiple restaurants, and I don't know where everyone parks. There were a couple tables open at Chopstix, so we got seated immediately. Service was a bit slow, and we had to wait a while to get water and place orders. The menu has a bit of everything. There are plenty of rice dishes, cold and hot noodles, soup noodles, bento, and sushi rolls to choose from. That was great for us, as everyone ordered something different. I was seriously blown away by their noodle soup selection as there were so many topping options and it was very customizable with your preferred type of broth and noodles. We shared the karaage ($8.95), which was good but I found it a bit on the bland side. For my main, I got the Dragon Roll ($13.95) and the salmon roll ($5.95). Both were good, but I thought the sushi rice was a little bit too soft and sticky. Brad B. "Okay, this was my second time coming to Sushi Factory and it was exactly as I remember. Simple, decent, affordable, and satisfying. It's certainly not something to look forward to as you would a beautiful omakase, but it scratches a certain itch when you want a few standard rolls like a spicy tuna and a carafe of sake without breaking the bank. The sushi doesn't stop at the spicy tuna rolls as I suggested above but I don't really get too adventurous at places like this. Stick to the basic fish that is readily available and popular like tuna and salmon. I could be completely wrong but I tend to believe that fish like this would be ordered by the customers more often and in turn the restaurant probably orders them more often too. Are they going to be fresher than the others? I'll keep telling myself that, don't burst my bubble. In summary, there is a time and place for cheap(ish) sushi and when I have a hankering for it, Sushi Factory is just close enough for me to indulge."

Not the best, but not the worst.I ordered the Shrimp Tempura Roll & SDSU Dream, both were nice sized and tasty. Rice was fresh, as was the tuna & salmon (on top of the SDSU Dream). My one and only complaint was that the tempura shrimp in both rolls was WAY over-cooked, dry AF and cold. Obviously they had been precooked and probably sitting around waiting to be "used". The food temp for everything else was good, however, when you bite into your roll the one thing that should NOT be cold is the tempura shrimp!! Major turn off...which is my I subtracted 2 stars. Here, you can find a little bit of everything. Mostly from local favorites, bacon wrapped hot dogs, nachos and loaded fries are some of the basics. Freshly prepared sushi, is something you'd never dream of seeing at a ballgame unless you're in one of the high end seating areas. Nope, Negihama Sushi brings a whole new meaning to ballpark faire!I found one location on the field level concourse behind home plate. Not sure if there are other spots located throughout the stadium. The line wasn't too long but there was a bit of a wait to receive your order. I noticed 2 chefs preparing rolls, one on each side of the order taker. They were both moving at a good pace preparing orders as they came in. Seemed like they were behind about 6-8 orders being prepared after the order was taken. The rolls themselves were really fresh! My only concern was that they left the seeds in fresh jalapeño slices in the roll which made each bite so hot, it felt like my mouth was bursting into flames! Other than my tongue melting, the rolls were fresh and delicious!Being on the field level, along with a gazillion other popular food vendors, it was really crowded and noisy. Spicy Yellowtail Handroll (4/5): Convenient if you don't want to commit to a roll. The yellowtail they use was really fresh here. The spice comes from a spicy mayo so it wasn't spicy at all though.Maki Maki (3.5/5): Salmon and yellowtail are the main fish in this roll. Toppings were loaded with freshly chopped jalapeno and sesame seed. I t was a fresh tasting roll but more heavy from the cream cheese.Truck Stop Roll (5/5): Similar to the maki maki, this also contains salmon inside and yellowtail on top. I do like salmon though and we got a Kimono Roll. If you're not feeling sushi they do cooked items like orange chicken, katsu, yakisoba, rice, and teriyaki. The roll was great!
