"Nice vibes. Cozy neighborhood spot. Decent beer selection. Not a great non-alcoholic selection. Is it crazy that my friends and I frequently come here for their salads and food? Excellent salads. Excellent chili."
"I stopped into this place for lunch after stumbling upon it by chance one day and taking note. I ordered a burger, next time gotta try the sausages. My food was so damn good. They have an excellent and pretty big tap list if beers. The bartender checked on me regularly and was pretty nice. I really liked the atmosphere of the bar, it was definitely my kinda place. I 100% suggest you stop in here and support local!"

Visit Restaurant Page"First time trying this place. Ordered carne asada burrito with beans and sour cream. I have to say it is nearly perfect. The main issue is the amount of liquid that leaks out during consumption. Otherwise the burrito is excellent. One of the best I've had since moving back to San Diego. Will definitely return for rolled tacos and the 2 in 1 burrito."
"My Number One, who knows I like hockey, brought me here as a surprise. When we arrived, I immediately knew this place would be an Irish-themed pub, but to my delight, it's also heavily into hockey! There's so many games on Thursdays that every TV had a different game on! Of course I ordered the corned beef; and I enjoyed how big the pieces were. I tried his Caesar salad, and I thought it was way too fishy (if you look at my other photos, I've posted an amazing Caesar with fresh anchovy filets- freshness matters!). They have really extensive whiskey and vodka options here! I got to try a vodka/tonic and they don't pour heavy. Translation: I can order my own drink next time. The crowd is a totally different vibe than I'm used to- usually people come up and just start chatting and the energy is fun (I'll admit it's mostly in PB though), but here, everyone was quietly mingling with the people they came with. Service was okay; friendly but not attentive. Overall, I look forward to returning before the season is over. Pros:- Irish menu- extensive liquor menu- hockey!- floor design/layout (cute balconies)- open lateCons:- energy is too mellow - service was "just okay""
"Sweet little joint in an area that I spend very little time in, but maybe I should!I love a bar that offers live music and Fast Times is exactly that. The sound is good, the drinks are affordable, and the place is clean. What more can you ask for? Ah, I know what else you can ask for, a nice and spacious outdoor patio to get away from the hustle/bustle inside and to catch a few breaths of fresh air.Welp, it's a bar, a good one at that and one that I'll surely be back to someday soon."
"I've been coming to Red Wings since 2014 when a queer friend introduced me to the bar. Normally, I would go on Wednesdays for their all day happy hour but I switched things up by going on Sunday to try their burger deal, which ends at 6 pm. Every food I eat here has been good - the wings, the burger and the onion rings. Service has always been friendly, quick, and accommodating. This bar is LGBT friendly, so the pour is always generous and the service polite & friendly.Price: $Recommendation: Happy hour all day Wednesday & $14 burger and beer on Sundays. I don't recommend going here on weekends because of the crowd but if you do want to get on the list for karaoke, expect to wait an hour (on Fridays & Saturdays). The karaoke list usually opens at 7 pm and they have a smoking patio as well as another extended patio that they open up on weekends. Current deals also include $2 jello shots!"
"Stopped in with the boyfriend after an afternoon of walking through the pier of OB. We were just visiting from the Bay Area so it's always fun to stumble into local small businesses to support.I was craving for a Chicago style hot dog and the menu here happened to offer it (I saw it on the menu posted on the window as we were casually walking by). The hot dog came with tomatoes, pickles, sports peppers, relish & onions for $8.50 a pop. Not the greatest I have ever had but it did the job in satisfying my craving.Looks like these guys have a great beer, wine, and spirit list. There are pool tables and a huge space for large groups to gather. I bet this is a cool spot to hang out at on nights and weekends. They don't have their own private lot so prepare to look for street parking if you're driving in."
"We came here to dine with family for our daughter's promotion. We came for lunch during a midweek and it was not crowded. We were able to sit with other parties we knew so that was great. I ordered the mussels in sun dried tomato broth. I wasn't sure how I would like this entree since I do not care for sun dried tomatoes but it was actually tasty and I would order it again. The portion was enough and it also came with bread to dip in the sauce. My daughter ordered Mac and cheese which is standard but was saucey and wet (not dry). She enjoyed it and finished her plate. My daughter also ordered a scoop of chocolate gelato. Very good and a great way to end the meal. Service was good and accommodating. Parking lot has ample and free parking spaces. A very nice space with lots of indoor and patio seating."
"Every Beach Town has to have a Surf Theme Bar right, it's the rule! Well these guys are Killin'It!Look at photos-the spot is Uber Cool and super cozy! Patio seating, open fire pit, pool tables and great drink and happy hour specials! Kayla + Morgan= best service award! We visited a couple times while we stayed in La Jolla. Food yeah it was fricken fantastic! I ordered the Burger of the Month and I can't get it outta my head! Green Chili and Cheeses all melted over an Angus Burger and oh boy it was Delicious! Not sure how else I can portray it... just make sure you don't miss this Great Bar!"
"A little busy on a Friday night but my party of 3 was seated right away. Wings were very good, as expected. If you like Crab Rangoon or cream cheese wantons you'll love the crab puffs with real crab. Onion Rings were a large portion for $7. Sort of a tempura type batter that benefits from a touch of salt at the table. Ketchup was a better choice than the provided marinara. Daughter's catfish was very good. Look forward to our next trip!"
"Awesome place to have a beer. They televise UFC at times. Cool happy hour. $5 draft beer of the day. Try the sampler plater, it's great! Bartenders especially Brittney are great!"
"New location but still great tasting good ol bbq meat! Very glad it's much closer so I have no more excuses to eating delicious bbq meats! Owner is very nice and friendly and takes pride in his food which is great!"

Come for Thursday for the $1 wings. That's right folks, just $1! The wings are pretty flavorful and came out quickly. I really enjoyed the wet rub wings, especially the Thai chili flavor. My least favorite was the lemon pepper, which was a bit sour for me. Are they the best wings I've ever had? Probably not. Did they hit the spot? Absolutely. Would I return for the great wing deal? Definitely!Great selection of beers to pair the wings with as well. Reasonable prices for all the beers. Great service.

The alexadilla is a California burrito wrapped in a quesadilla and you can clearly tell it is a quesadilla which I loved. It wasn't overly loaded with just fries. There was a good mix of everything inside. The meat wasn't SUPER flavorful but overall the burrito was good. The red and green hot sauces were both very good and had nice flavor. The girl who took my order was so nice and personable and definitely wanted to make sure you got what you wanted. Inside was very clean and the had seating for to-go orders that wouldn't take up the seating for people trying to eat there. The music was a notch louder than I would prefer but not unbearable. I will definitely go back to try some of the other items on the menu.

We met some friends at Arizona Cafe for some Saturday NFL football. We love AZ, but it had been a while since our last visit. We walked in and found our friends sitting at a high-top to the left of the bar. Sarah was our bartender. She grabbed a seltzer for Becky and a pint of Estrella Jalisco for me. I can't remember ever seeing EJ on tap anywhere else. Not my favorite Mexican beer, but a decent offering. Their seltzer offerings, Bud Light Seltzer only, leaves a lot to be desired for Becky. Service was good. The AZ has TVs everywhere. Our NFL games were on and so were the college bowl games we wanted to see. We didn't have to choose. Those watching the NBA or NCAA basketball were also accommodated.Always a good time at Arizona Cafe.

This review is based on two HH events in the upstairs room in last 5 months. (I could have sworn I already did a review but can't find it) Excellent and highly recommend: *Cauliflower (wood oven roasted with pistachios, saffron cream, and other good stuff like mint; *fried chicken wings with some kind of sweet sour sauce--big pieces, crunchy and hot*pierogi (yes I am surprised too that I would like potato ravioli but it was really amazing with butter and cream) Good:*pizza--margherita, pepperoni, and mushroom w/garlicAverage:*dirty fries--BBQ pulled pork carnitas over fries with jalpenos and cheese -- Perhaps I just don't care for meat over fries in the first place; fries need to be more cruncy. Not recommend:*Sliders--meat was dry Great food, really beautiful ambiance with outdoor and indoor seating (and white lights decorating the trees outside), and we are grateful for the dedicated upstairs room with pool, shuffle board and other games, along with dedicated bar. Long table and a few couches are also upstairs.Definitely recommend!

They do karaoke Friday and Saturday nights . It is so much fun here ! The karaoke DJ is amazing . He's very good and a sweetheart. They have 2 pool tables and the bartender Bella makes delicious cocktails."
"For those not local, parking is limited. You'll have to find street parking. In this visit we tried the party melt, kids nuggets, and kids sliders. The sliders were good and freshly made. Although the bun was also good it was a bit big for the burger patty. A slice of pickle would be nice to have also. The nuggets were lightly battered and meaty. Now the patty melt could use a little work. Overall, it was completely dry, minus the 1000 island dressing. The meat was definitely overcooked, and I think it would be much better with American cheese versus the Swiss, which hardly melts. French fries, unfortunately were not fresh. They were warm as if they were put up under a light but not freshly made which was disappointing. All of the staff was friendly and attentive. The music/TVs were up pretty loud. Will definitely give it another try for other menu items."
"Great service. Great food. Clean bathrooms. Parking is hard so walk there and park by Mission Bay park. Had the burger with sweet potato fries and Sauv blanc and was delish. Trust!"
"Pretty cool that you can see/hear the Padres play from the patio. They were busy on game day but our server did great. My burger was yummy and satisfying, I would've finished it if I weren't so full.I was happy with what I got, just order wisely. The ahi tacos looked sad, lol."
"I looked for several months to find the perfect place to have my girlfriend's "40th" birthday celebration. Cheers ended up being the perfect place! Cheryl (the owner) was always easy to reach as she worked with me for months in making sure the party was special. She was easily able to accommodate all of my requests from hiring the birthday girl's favorite band to play (The Innocent Bystanders), putting up as many decorations that we wanted, bringing in our own food, storing the cake in their fridge and even turning off all of the lights for a "surprise"! The bartenders were also very friendly and helpful. Thank you Cheryl and the Cheers crew for helping to pull off a fun and memorable party!"
"this is a great place to meet each other for some bar food, a cocktail, and some games!A large spacious interior and some patio dining outside so there's lot of space to gather for either a date night or a large birthday party!Make sure to to get the potato skins, they are filling, fresh, and pair perfectly with their thick sour cream and herby ranch dressing!A wide variety of beers on tap and all the cocktails your liver could crave - what's not to love about this place?!"
"We were going to head into Sahara's for some middle eastern food, but as we were about to go in, the smell of burgers and fries caught our belly's attention. As you walk in, you're greeted by a huge menu board with their specials listed. It's an open area concept restaurant with large TVs all around with the basketball game on. You sit yourself anywhere. Our server was very attentive and checked in on us just enough. I ordered the 10oz ribeye with mashed potatoes and veggies $21.50 with a side Cesar salad. Tim ordered Bacon Mushroom Swiss Burger $16.75 with a side of cedar salad and Rye Old Fashion $8.50. I wanted to try their Mango Spice drink, but they had ran out of mango juice. So I settled with Cucumber Basil Temptress $7.50. It was good. Just the mix of the drink and Parmesan cheese left a weird taste in my mouth. But that was my bad for ordering the drink. Both of us enjoyed the salad. Veggies could have been cooked a bit more. Mashed potatoes was bomb dot com. Steak was meh. But it's not a steak house - it's a bar, so up to par for the location. Burger was juicy - I mean sauce dripping as Tim bit into it. Would we go again? YES! Most definitely. Atmosphere is great to watch sports and have a few drinks. Welcoming staff and food was pretty good. They have happy hour Monday - Friday 11am-7pm & all day Sunday. They also have set specials practically everyday. 1) Burger Monday - All American Burger with a choice of side $102) Tacos & Tapas Tuesday3) Wing Winesday - 1/2 off wine bottles & $1.25 wings 4) Slide Into Thirsty Thursday - sliders starting at $3.505) Fish Friday - New England Clam Chowder $8/bowl or $5.50/cup or fish-n-chips (Wild Alaskan Cod with fries and kale slaw $17"
"We made it back to The Oaks Bar and Grill after quite and absence. We forgot what we'd been missing. We stopped in for a couple of drinks and a snack.Much to Becky's delight they had an Ashland seltzer on tap. For me, their selection of beers was quite good. I ordered a Firestone 805. At $5.50 each, we thought the pints were very reasonably priced. We ordered the potato skins and they were really good. They prepare regular sized skins and load them up with cheese, bacon and chives, then cut each lengthwise. It makes for much easier eating and Becky appreciated the smaller portion size. Served with sour cream, ranch and salsa, they hit the spot.Seph was our bartender and he provided great service for us. Attentive and friendly. Cool dude. The bar is a large horseshoe shape with plenty of seating. There are a few booths and tall tables too. There are plenty of TVs throughout the room to catch your favorite sporting event. Expect to see golf on at least a couple of them. LOL. The patio just outside the doors is outstanding with sweeping views of the golf course.Whether you're a hungry/thirsty golfer coming in from a round for a round or you're just stopping in for a snack like we did, the Oaks Bar and Grill is a solid choice."
"Great place,Great service, Great Irish Coffees,& great for groups! What else could you want?"
"When I arrived there was only one waiter who was also working the bar. Despite having to man the dining room on his own he was pleasant and attentive. There was a bone-in wing special so I ordered the Seoul Wings which were tasty. I also ordered the friend shrimp basket (and I do NOT recommend that to anyone). The breading was falling off of the shrimp. If you want good seafood there's a fish market/bar/restaurant down the street on Santa Monica Ave.Otherwise, I highly recommend Dirty Birds for drinks, cheap eats and good vibes.EDIT**Updating my review to 5 stars. The owner reached out to me (unexpectedly) and modified my bill due to my review. While that wasn't the goal of my review it was greatly appreciated and I am so appreciative of the level of customer service. Especially since I'd only eaten there one hour ago. That was very kind."
"If we can grab lunch and a few drinks and get out under $100, then we're happy. We did just that at Junction Bar and Grill in Rancho San Diego.Really cool spot to see your favorite sporting event on TV. They have TVs mounted everywhere. We were there with two other couples for beer, bread and baseball, except none of us actually got bread (okay pita bread). We grabbed a tall table against the wall that had great sightlines to the Padres game. We were promptly greeted by a very sweet and cute Ashlyn, our server. Let me tell you, Ashlyn was on point for our entire stay. Excellent service.Between the six of us we ordered potato skins ($11), pork pot stickers ($7), hummus plate ($9), carne asada taco in a lettuce wrap ($4.75). The pot stickers and hummus were from the every-day, all-day Happy Hour menu. The potato skins were very good. Cheddar and jack cheeses, bacon and chives served with sour cream and ranch dressing. We asked for Cholula as well. Becky prefers a bit less potato in her skins, I thought that they had just the right amount. I prefer them a bit potato-y. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but the pot stickers were excellent. Little puffs filled with pork served with a really good sesame-based dipping sauce. For 7 bucks? A bargain.I did not sample the hummus, but our friends really liked it. The pita was not crispy as some places serve it and that was a bonus. The plate included a pile of Kalamata olives and chunks of Feta cheese. Our friend who had the carne asada taco loved it. She didn't want a tortilla, so Ashlyn highly recommended the lettuce wrap. She said that she orders it that way so our friend followed suit and loved it. She was still talking about the next day.Three couples all with meals and plenty of drinks. All three were out of there under a hundo.Junction is a cool spot. We'll be back."
"Happy Hour at 3:00 in the afternoon on a Saturday? In San Diego County? Welcome to The Regal Bar in the La Mesa Village!$4 cans of White Claw, $6 pints of Pacifico. Served up by our bartender du jour Chad. Hell yes!The Regal is a fairly small place. The bar itself has seating for about 20 and there is a smattering of tables. A pool table takes up some floor space and there is shuffleboard along the wall. There is an uncovered patio out back. The Regal is dog friendly. We met Louie while we were there. He was such a cool dog. Fresh from the groomer, Louie was loooking pretty spiffy! As we were sitting there, I had a strong case of Deja vu. I had been here before. Then it hit me. As a 20-something college student nearly 30 years ago, I was in this very bar when it was called Joe and Andy's. Some guys from one of my classes were in a band and had a gig at then Joe and Andy's. There is a small enclave behind the door, that's where the drum kit was set up. The guitarist was on the right and the bassist was in front of the door. The crowd clearly exceeded the legal occupancy total. I remember thinking:"If there's a fire, all of our lives are in the hands of a bass player". LOL! Thankfully, there was no fire. Compared to the dive that Joe and Andy's was, The Regal is indeed quite regal! Enough of memory lane. Becky and I had just one each while at The Regal. Our bar tab was 10 bucks, hell yeah we'd return!"
"On a mellow Sunday we decided to head up the coast of San Diego to try out a different spot than we usually do and we ended up on the 101 in Cardiff at Tower 13. I had heard of my parents checking out this place but I had never been so we decided to check it out. It was a gorgeous day so we decided to sit outside and enjoy a couple drinks and some apps to share. We decided on the nachos which were super good and we got the larger size so we could share. We also got a cup of the chili that came with toast on the side, let me tell you those pieces of toast were so buttery and good I was obsessed! It wasn't too busy which I was surprised because it was such a nice day but we had a great time and I am sure we would stop by again if we are in the area."
"Pretty cool place to play some pool. Tons of tables available. Also TVs everywhere so would imagine it's also a good spot for football games and sporting events. They make a mean Tony's pizza if you're hungry or you could stop at the Jack's in the parking lot for some food"
"I really like going to The Break Room - formerly knock as Victor's. Except when it's pool league night, which happens often. The league uses all of the pool tables - except for one. That one table gets snatched up quick. Call ahead to see when leagues are playing.Bartenders are cool. You can bring your own food in - no kitchen. Parking can be a challenge, the lot is shared with several restaurants. There are a few spots right out on the street if you don't see anyone walking to their car to leave."
"I got their brunch burger which was really good. Nice sized burger, which was cooked well. The staff was friendly and helpful. The tater tots are always a good go to. It was quiet here and had a nice view of the street."
"The food was good, there are a lot of options too. We ended up getting wings and fries because it was a Wednesday and the wings were $1.25 each. It's a few steps from the beach and our server was super attentive and personable, I wish we could have caught his name because he definitely deserves recognition!"
"(Last visited 5/15/2022.) Hanging out in San Diego with some friends and we've been partying all day, but we need a break so we walked past this place so I HAD to stop in to see what it was all about before continuing on with the night.Atmosphere/Appearance: Based right downtown with a very inviting patio/street seating is this gem. We walked right in this very rustic, homey feeling space that made me feel like I was out in the backwoods of Tennessee somewhere, but I loved the character of this place. There's also a modern twist to it as well with the updated bar rail and crispy TVs. So we sat outside to enjoy the good weather along with excellent people watching spots...Service: I can't remember who took care of us, nor can I remember if we had any problems... so... everything must've been okay then, right? Lol.Food: Eh, mid. This is a BBQ spot, so I thought I was going to get some DAWG-ASS wings! I... in fact... did not. I had an order of Buffalo wings and an order of Buffalo. They're just basic-fried chicken wings that are thrown in a basket then sprinkled with sauce. Yes, "sprinkled". My wings weren't even fully covered. Come on man. Yeah, I could've sent them to be covered, but there's sauce on the table so I did what I had to do, but they were okay. Buffalo over BBQ of course, but not by much. I wouldn't get them again. My friend had The Duke Burger which is a thick beef patty, pulled pork, Swiss cheese, BBQ sauce, lettuce, tomato, onions and pickles. He loved it, so it was clear that I made a mistake. Lol. Maybe next time...Value: $17.00 for 8 wings. Nope, not even worth it. Maybe the burger, but maybe next time...In conclusion, eh. I don't know if I'd make a return visit. There are so many restaurants in the area and this one just did not do it for me so I think I'd try elsewhere, but feel free to try this place out on your own! Just don't get the wings, try something else."
"Love this little gem! Great place to watch sports, lots of screens, seats, and able to reserve. Came here for a UFC fight, which is difficult to find when it's a paid for only fight, seats were all taken but a wonderful group who reserved a table adopted us...so uber friendly people here!! Our small group loved this place. Patrons were nice, respectful, and into the fights so perfect noise level, appropriate for the occasion. Server was on top of things! He never wrote anything down, yet got everything perfect. Considering how busy they were, I couldn't believe that he remembered our drinks and food from earlier. Nachos were great but we wanted extra cheese when ordering the second time and see pic, YUM!!We'll be back!ps, bathrooms were clean and smartly set up with communal hand washing outside of toilet areas."
"Our friends are big fans of Mr. Peabody's Burgers and Ales and are frequent visitors. Becky and I were in the area on President's Day so we decided to stop in for lunch.Located in somewhat of an awkward, smallish strip mall on a slope. The parking spaces seemed small. We found a spot to back into. Mr. Peabody's is in the corner. We walked in and were warmly greeted and invited to sit anywhere. Our choices were the bar, a few high-tops in the bar area or a few booths in the main dining area. The place was relatively small. There was only one bathroom and it was a one-holer. Plan accordingly. We chose the bar and the lovely young woman who greeted us was Emily, our bartender.Pints were $4.50 and Becky's margarita was $7.50 - a bargain! We checked the menu and decided to share the Bang-Bang Beef Sliders and a side of fries. The sliders were three beef sliders with bacon, cheddar cheese and "bang-bang" spicy sauce. The friess were of the thinner variety. The sliders were money! Freshly cooked and juicy. The bang-bang sauce was bangin'! It carried a nice little kick. The fries were crispy and golden and it was a huge basket. Between the two of us we couldn't finish them. I asked for a side of ranch (delivered at no extra charge) and it was good quality ranch dressing. We loved the open "kitchen". I finger-quoted kitchen because it was literally a flat top with a deep fryer next to it located behind the bar. Rene and Pedro were the two dudes back there working their magic. We thought it was really cool to see three little balls of meat hit the flat top and become our sliders. We watched as our fries hit the oil, then drained and tossed in a bit of salt. Everything was in front of us mere seconds after Pedro was finished plating.Piping hot and fresh. We have friends who swear by the Mr. Peabody's turkey taco. ($1 off on Mondays). I really wanted one, but was too full to partake. Next time. Our favorite thing about Mr. Peabody's was the atmosphere. Emily was great! The woman next to us at the bar, a regular (perhaps an off-duty employee?) was great also. Everyone in the place was friendly. We were laughing it up with Emily, our bar mate and Rene and Pedo too!We wish Peabody's was closer to home, but we'll for sure make it back anyway!"
"directly off Morena Blvd is a dive bar that has elevated in class over the years.. pandemic did this place some good and allowed them to expand into another patio area which keeps it from feeling too crowded. There's a solid menu of American food like burgers, melts, and chicken teddies, plus a good brunch menu on weekends!I got the spicy Reed burger which has a "jalapeño popper patty" on top of the beef patty - guys, it's a deep fried jalapeño and cream cheese mixture... it was amazing! it added a bit of crunch, cream, and spice. It really elevated the flavor (and my cholesterol lol). Thankfully I could swap the fries for a salad and that made me feel less guilty for eating the burger.Stop by for a good beer selection, strong drinks, and really good food!"
"Theres nothing like a good dive bar and you can't possibly do much better than the Instant Replay. I've been a semi-regular at this Rancho Bernardo place for decades and it whenever it changes (even incrementally) the more it remains the same. New owners Pete and Dave took over a few years ago and added credit cards and some new TV's. Those are big changes in a place that hasn't changed much over the years. It's impossible to go to the IR not see people you know. It's also impossible to go to the IR and not have a good time. People are friendly, they have pool tables, obviously they have booze. How can all those things not be fun? Please note Instant Replay doesn't serve food, but what the hell, there's pizza and Thai nearby. Sadly, the former drive-thru Taco Bell diagonally across the shopping center is now a Starbucks, (so no more late night fake Mexican food to help you sober up and drive home safely) but if you play your cards right the pizza place might deliver your pie to the IR. (Just ask for Joey.) Most recent visit 9/25/21. Jannette took great care of us. Three Pacifico's for me, three Coors Lights for Scott. Watched Giancarlo Stanton bang a grand slam for my Yankees against the Red Sox. First place baby! It was another chill visit, the latest in a very long line of chill visits, to this classic gem -- A truly timeless watering hole in RB. If you come in, please say hi. Thanks, IR. I love you."
"Friendly customer service and super yummy food. I had the Philly cheesesteak, french fries and buffalo chicken wings. It was all super delicious. Good energy here. I will definitely return."
