"Will travel for good Pho!!I love Pho, and Pho Kha did not disappoint. Customer Service was excellent from start to finish.I ordered my go to which is rare steak pho and a order of spring rolls with fish sauce. The pho broth was very flavorful, a tad bit sweet but good bone taste. My only complaint was they do not serve a lot of veggies compared to other pho places. My server was very nice to bring me more sprouts, Thai basil etc.The spring rolls I would pass on. I didn't really like how rubbery the rice paper was when biting into it, and the fish sauce wasn't it for me. It needed more tang or something. I love the added touch of the water carafe and metal cups.If I'm in the area again I would try Pho Kha again and try some other dishes."
"From the minds that brought to you Plumeria comes, Kiin Extraordinary Thai. My family loves Plumeria so when we asked if Kiin was a sister restaurant it was a given that we'd sit down for dinner here at Skydeck in Del Mar. The whole food hall is gorgeous and the ambiance is casual and trendy. I didn't take any pictures but Kiin was dressed up for the Halloween season so yay for being in the spirit. Food was good. Portions were sizable. 1st place: Kiin Noodle Soup-generous chunks of braised beef (or duck if you prefer) in a five-spice broth. Its advertised as a Thai street food. Runners up: Pad see ew, standard though not spectacular. Steeamed fish with spicy lime vinaigrette, was okay bc the fish seemed bland to me still. Wish was in the race: We love the larb at Plumeria. No larb here. We love the flower cups at Plumeria. None here too. They should add those on. Would be a hit with the Del Mar crowd."

I can say that it still looks brand new, decent parking spaces with drive thru included; and the interior looks pretty clean as well.Following the lawsuit against their company, all their Panera locations now have to get rid of the charge drinks, if you want to buy them, you have to let one of the employee know to get it for you. I am on their unlimited drinks program for a long time, I could confirm that their caffeinated drinks didn't kill me or driving me crazy, I guess the person who suffered from it must have drank a tons uncontrollably, but oh well it ruined the experience for everyone else nationwide. Now that I found out about this spot, I can make a quick stop here in the future."
"We were pleasantly surprised by this place. The pho was really good, better than the place we usually go in the Los Angeles area, and the portions were generous. Our server was very friendly and helpful. Location was very convenient to our hotel. Would come again if we are in the area!"
"First time coming to this location. I've been wanting to try them since they first opened & finally had the chance today since I was craving. I usually go to my usual location The Ace Crab off Plaza Blvd due to convenience of distance. Which they've been a hit every time I went aside from the last time. The last time was very salty & no spice. So I decided I needed to venture somewhere new which landed me here today. It wasn't busy, was seated immediately & ordered immediately. Service from our waitress was quick & efficient. The food came out super hot. We ordered 1lb crawfish, 1lb shrimp, lobster tail, & all the extras ala carte - 1lbs corn, 1/2 sausage, 1/2 potatoes, boiled egg, 2 cups of rice, & the chicken tender basket for my son, & 2 sodas. Total was about $102 without tip. The space was new, clean, & had an open floor plan. Didn't feel squished next to other tables. We ordered pub style seasoning & extra spicy. Our waitress cautioned us about the spice which I appreciate. Not everyone can handle spicy. We loveeeee spicy so it was only right! It was very spicy, had our nose running, lips swollen & red. Lol. But it was a GOOD spice for us! Some places claim spicy but ain't really spicy at all. Lol. If you can tolerate it, I recommend! I will continue coming to this business to fulfill my future cravings!! Love love love. Nothing bad to say!"
"Tried this Pho Bo place three times already and I found it when we were at Gaslamp , but I had a sudden change in my craving again. From Pasta, my craving had changed to Soup. I searched on Yelp for the nearest Soup place that I had not been to yet and this PHO BO place showed up in my Search. We have been here three times already and we always order the same thing, the food that we liked from the first time we were here. These are the foods we keep ordering that we like so far.*PHO BO (RIBS & SHANKS) *GOI CUON (SPRING ROLLS) *COMBINATION FRIED RICE *VERMICELLI RICE NOODLES with GRILLED PORK & EGG ROLL We started with their Springs rolls. They were decent sizes, they were fresh, and they were delicious, and the Peanut dipping sauce was perfect. I always like to add Sriracha to my Peanut dipping sauce for my Spring rolls and it's just so good. Their Combination fried rice was also good, they weren't soggy or overcooked. I love Vermicelli Rice Noodles, everything in my Bowl was flavorful, the grilled Pork and egg roll were delicious with all those noodles, sauces, and veggies. The main reason I came back here 3 more times already was because of their PHO BO (RIBS & SHANK) SOUP! This is so good, I really like the BROTH here on the RIBS & SHANK, the Rib's size was good, but I wish that they could make it so that the Meat of the Ribs is easy to pull apart from the bone. But the meat is still tender when it's already separated from the Bone, it's still soft to eat, it's not hard or chewy at all and the meat is also very tasty. All in all, I love their RIBS soup here. The service was good, Bao (our server) was quick and attentive to what we might need. Parking was easy, there's parking available on their side streets."
"I may have to come here again, the place was packed so we had to sit outside which didn't bother us at all. The service was very tentative and the food came out in a prompt manner. We didn't really know what to get so we did order it a little at a time. Each little dish that came out didn't really quite impress me but it wasn't bad either. The sashimi cuts were really bad, I think I came on a off day when someone in there didn't know how to slice fish.I wasn't really full at the end of the meal it made me felt like I wanted something more. But however they still get a four stars because nothing was bad and well I did dine with others and they thought it was good. So that's good enough for me to give them a four stars.I'll definitely have to revisit this place. I might be missing something?"
"I was struggling to find a pho place close to home without having to trek to Convoy. I would say this is a very decent bowl of pho! My husband and I both enjoyed the broth. The brisket was a bit dry, but that may have just been a fluke.I also tried the broken rice. The special comes with pork chop, egg meat loaf, shrimp, fried shrimp cake, and shredded pork. Super filling and enough for 2-3 meals. Lastly, the egg rolls are a good size. They give a small bowl of broth with all the entrees."
"Great service , food is fantastic served fresh and hot ! The salt and pepper chicken wings were the favorite at the table"
"Service here is great! I visit often to pick up a meal to bring to a family member. I am always greeted with a smile, clean restaurant, cozy atmosphere, and my order ready to go at the time my order confirmation email indicates. Food is consistently tasty and the staff is conscious of my family member's dietary requests. Thank you Thai Ladle! You're amazing!"
"I love 55 Thai! This one was located inside a convenience store which was kind of cool actually! I always get the yellow curry with chicken and a Thai tea or Thai iced coffee. Their yellow curry is absolutely so delicious and a little spicy! I've gotten it a handful of times and the quality is great every time. They make the food relatively fast too, but I usually order online and it's ready when I get there! Some seating outside which is nice too!"
"Super tasty! I was across the hall at Stone Brewing and while the beer was tasty (and strong), I wanted something simple as I had been traveling. Happy hour is from 4:30-7. I had the Gyoza and glass of white. Choice of wine was Chardonnay or Sauvignon blanc. I said you choose and I ended up with the Sauvignon blanc. Quick. Easy. Attentive service. Being next to the train station it's not touristy at all. Locals, a couple of cops were all in attendance while I quickly noshed. Those that know, know. Seating is limited."

A small local spot for pho, authentic pho flavoring! It truly is the best pho in town. You're seated right away and the place was packed by dinner time. Glad we came when we did. The pho was rich in flavors and tasted like home cooked pho. Everything was perfect and just what I needed! Thank you!

Met up for lunch with a couple of girlfriends who also live in suburbia... We appreciated the convenient location at Sky Deck and enjoyed the open air, modern decor. Service was pleasant and accommodating as well.I arrived late so only managed a photo of my own order, the Chef's Signature Braised Beef Panang Curry served on a bed of steamed green beans and carrots with choice of rice (I picked organic brown, which came adorably shaped in a heart - perhaps to emphasize its heart-healthy and antioxidant attributes? ;). While the beef was certainly tender and the lemongrass-infused-in-coconut-milk sauce flavorful, the dish as a whole was what I'd expect from any good Thai resto rather than "extraordinary" as marketed. :P

The food was pretty good. Tried the new sandwich tomato basil BLT, yummy!! My wife had the chicken Caesar salad and the chicken was very tasty and cooked just right. Only negative I would have to say of this location was the tables. Myself and others had to use napkins to clean the tables off from other customers. Oh and as someone else mentioned, the prices on the menu are less than what you actually pay. Really??

I've had so many pho's in my life...how people can give this a 4-5 and say the food is good is beyond me...The fact that the place was empty with not one other patron should've been a telltale sign but if we never try...we'll never know...The rare steak pho - the broth was dark and murky. Typically the broth should be clear in the way that it shouldn't have a lot of sediment floating around...The color of the steak was so off, light and kind of grey...it was such an odd color. It really looked more like pork than beef.We also had the vermicelli bowl with egg rolls & grilled shrimp and chicken. I'm sorry but this had to be the worst vermicelli bowls we've had. The vermicelli was undercooked and hard...the sauce was weird and bland. It wasn't the typical clear watery fish sauce type. It looked like a store bought sweet chilli sauce. The bowl was so unsatisfying and a chore to eat.I would give this a 1 but the service was good so I'll add an extra but unfortunately we will not be back.

Tanuki rules. We dropped in without a reservation on a Saturday night and were seated immediately. We split a bottle of sake, which was solid despite me not being a huge sake fan. What I was a fan of, was that you get to select the sake cut you want to drink from. We had the salmon wasa, the mix sashimi plate, and then a couple of rolls. Everything was excellent, and came out so quickly it was wild. The salmon wasa was my favorite; the wasabi relish was new to me and delicious. Our service was fantastic and so speedy. I think we were there for under an hour total, and it was a delightful time.

Ordered two items to go near closing time (830pm):1. The Special XL2. Bun Bo HueStaff were friendly, service was quick. We waited for like 10 mins and the food came out.Taste: didn't hear complaints from my parents. They liked it. I didn't have a chance to try it but their portions looked generous.

"When you get to order takeout and sit down to dinner with mom you pick her brain to see what she's craving. When she lives in Rancho Bernardo and her answer is "I haven't had Chinese in forever," you quickly default to Chin's for a to-go order. We are a few basic bi#&hes, as the kids say. So this was the order...- Broccoli/beef. I told you, basic AF, but some places will still butcher the most basic of meals. Chin's does this right and has been doing so for years. You can tell that they're using better cuts of meat than most and the broccoli doesn't turn into a completely soggy and inedible third-class vegitable. and- The Imperial Dutch Happiness: What a damn name. As the menu states, "select scallops and shrimp sauteed with broccoli, mushrooms, snow peas, and carrots in a garlic white sauce." A great little seafood option that doesn't completely break the bank. Chin's has been a family fave for seemingly my entire "adult" life and a little "comfort" food is exactly what the doctor ordered. I doubt we'll be chowing down on Chin's again soon, but that's okay with me, special things should happen on occasion, not to be worn down by frequency."
"Place filled up Saturday at lunch time. I ordered the won ton soup. You get 8 won tons with some bok choy. Bok choy was crisp and fresh. Loved the flavor. Won tons were a mixture of shrimp and pork. Loved the flavor. Soup was seasoned just the way I like with salt and maybe some msg.I also tried the black pepper udon noodles with chicken. Dish was bursting with black pepper flavor. A bit too much for me. I'd like this dish with maybe 30% of the normal amount of black pepper. Udon noodles were soft and had a mild flavor I liked. Chicken was tender and moist.2nd visit. I found the downside to the online ordering. Normally I'd ask the wait staff to make changes to my order like no garlic on my chicken wings. With online ordering there was no option to remove the garlic. So I figured I'd brush off the garlic when my order came out. Sadly for me the garlic powder had adhered to the wings. I loved the thin layer of crunchy batter and the juicy wings. Loved the mild fried flavor. These would be great tasting wings without the garlic powder.Pork chow mein. Alot of the places I go to would list this dish under lo mein. I liked the ingredients in this dish. Mild flavored noodles. Crunchy cabbage. Bean sprouts with their mild flavor. Tender pork. What I didn't like was the heavy handed application of soy sauce. I couldn't really taste the ingredients. I'd probably love this dish if I could order it with 25% of the normal amount of soy sauce. Also there wasn't enough pork as this dish was mostly noodles.Staff was nice and the won ton soup was excellent."
"Great Vietnamese lunch spot with reasonably priced food. The banh mi is under 8$! You can order a single spring roll for dine in too. One of my go-to places when I want pho."
"The last time I visited this suite in the Rolando neighborhood, Filipino cuisine was being served. Apparently, a relative of the owner was given an opportunity to run that food service, but it was unable to succeed. The lower line of the new marquee sign noted that 'BBQ & Southern Style Food' was also offered at Bayside Fish & Chips. Those items made up the right menu screen while the left screen displayed the traditional fried seafood fare.I picked the Fish Sandwich which was the first of five listings. A fried whitefish fillet (my choice) or catfish nuggets was available as the protein served on a bun with tartar sauce. The batter used on the fish was a light cornmeal. I appreciated that it was not heavily coated on the fillet. I also ordered a serving of the Creole Gumbo. The roux was not as dark as have I seen in other versions of this classic Southern recipe. A medley of crab pieces, clams, chicken, and andouille sausage was mixed together while a dish of white rice was provided on the side to add into the broth. There were only four tables for on-site dining so most of the business at Bayside Fish & Chips was for takeout orders. The BBQ meats were not available at the time of my afternoon visit. The brisket and pork ribs would be worth trying on another occasion when I am in this neighborhood. The food quality and prices were worth a four star rating."
"Failed to take pictures. The food was good, had large portions and my pickup order was ready very quickly. I loved the green beans and beef noodles. The sesame chicken was also tasty. Service was quick and staff were friendly."
"I had the garlic shrimp. Shrimp was fresh and tasty. Beans and rice were good but just warm. Velvet had the nachos. The house guacamole was very good. I had the Maitai. It was very good and strong. Velvet had the one of the margaritas. She couldn't remember which one. It was strong also. Ha ha. View was amazing. Service was very good."
"My favorite Vietnamese restaurant in SD. They have a smaller location in PB that is also great, but the menu here has more options. My husband is Vietnamese, and we like to come here when we're in the mood for some good comfort food. Don't tell his grandma, but the food here is even a little better than what she makes. Everything we've had here has been great, but some of our favorites are:-Bun ca: I've never seen this before and it is phenomenal! My favorite thing on the menu. The fish is cooked perfectly, the broth is delicious, and the whole dish is very light. -Bun rieu: brings me right back to Hanoi. -Salt n pepper chicken wings: my favorite chicken wings in SD. -Dau hi chien gion: to be honest, I think these are just as good as the chicken wings, which shows how phenomenal this tofu dish is. I love the onion and chili flakes. Of course, the veggie egg rolls, goi cuon tom, and pho are also great! This is the only place we'll go for pho when we don't feel like cooking it at home."
"Having been here a handful of times (more than Yelp states) and prior to COVID, during and recently.... employees have been friendly, quick, efficient and accommodating. Seating inside is available or take-out. We finly made it before 6pm, as the buffet closes at 6pm. Therefore we are all able to order different items. The beef and broccoli is one of my favorites. The chow mein is a bit dry, but qith some soy sauce goes down so smooth! The mushroom chicken qas really good, as was the teriyaki chicken and flavorful. The combos are very reasonably priced for the amount of food you receive. This is one of my go-to places in the South Bay to get Chinese food. We will definitely be back as this location is in my routine of places to support."
"I've been wanting to check out this place for a while. We met up here for dinner and noticed the host stand has such a pretty marble! My friends ordered a couple glasses of white wine to start with. We ordered a variety of dishes to share. The sizzling soup was a bit disappointing. It lacked flavor. The honey walnut shrimp, wings, pepper beef, and dumplings were pretty tasty. The noodles and chicken dishes were alright. The food here is decent and Americanized. Service was great though. I wouldn't mind trying some other items on the menu if I'm in the area."
"I was working out of town for several days in Escondido and wanted to find a good restaurant. The first night I went to Chin's and was very impressed! Large portions, great food, and excellent prices. The service was also very good. I ended up eating at Chin's every night for 3 days. Do yourself a favor and give Chin's a try. You won't regret it."
"Love the healthy stir-fry's here. They are able to accommodate my need to eliminate MSG from the food. I am one of those that gets glue in the tear ducts and neck tightens up when restaurant's aren't transparent with their ingredients. Some say MSG is a myth but it isn't for me. Great customer service, food is always made fresh after ordering. They give ample portions of protein, just wished it a was closer to me. :-)For sure will be back!"
"Lovely place. Small, intimate dining with lots of takeout traffic. Waiter, Tyler, was charming and hospitable. My favorite dish, Pad Woonsen, wasn't on the menu, so I asked if they had it. Tyler said it is off-menu but available. Shrimp had good texture and flavor and was plentiful. Iced water came with cucumber. So refreshing! In short, great food, service and ambiance. Will most definitely return to explore more of their dishes."

"Cali Banh Mi did a great job of renovating the former space occupied by Muscle Mill Grill on Garnet Ave. The updated light fixtures and new paint inside made a big difference to the ambiance as it felt cozier than before. If you aren't heading westbound on Balboa Ave, then a better option to arrive here would be to pull into the McDonald's driveway on Mission Bay Dr and then park in the corner adjacent to the outdoor patio of this suite. There were four reserved parking spaces for CBM in that area. The menu was surprisingly extensive with traditional Vietnamese, American deli style, and breakfast banh mi sandwiches available in addition to boba drinks, spring rolls, salads, energy and Cali bowls, fried rice, and desserts. I ordered the classic Shrimp and Pork Spring Rolls along with a savory BBQ Pork Vietnamese Banh Mi. Each item was a good value for the serving size. A standard peanut dipping sauce came with the spring rolls. The banh mi was on a legitimate French baguette and not some other type of bread. The outdoor patio doubled the on-site seating capacity and was a feature that the other CBM locations don't have. You may have to take a circuitous route if you are coming from a particular direction (e.g. north or west). Otherwise, it's great to have a Vietnamese sandwich shop in this neighborhood so you don't have to drive to their Convoy District or Point Loma locations."
"This place was fantastic! We ordered so many things, all family style! Definitely tasted like traditional Colombian food, though some dishes had a nice twist! Our server was nice, and the place wasn't too packed on a Saturday evening. The inside was decorated so beautifully, lots of colorful murals! Overall, I loved the experience! Gracias!"
"The salsa... so spicy but I can't stop eating it!!!! It's sooo good!!! The fish tacos... spectacular! I come here probably once a week. So good. It's a family owned restaurant which is a bonus in my book. I usually try to support the local businesses. They are very sweet and the tacos are consistently delicious."
"We were in the mood for some kbbq and went here for dinner tonight. It was empty when we arrived, but picked up while we were dining. We got our usual- bulgolgi, brisket, and the galbi meal (comes with kimchi soup). Service was friendly and quick. Our meats were delicious and server helped us cook as well. The kimchi was particularly good tonight! Too bad I forgot to get the fried rice at the end!"
"This place is a must try in you're in the area / even if you're not!! Worth the drive and TRY! Came here on Saturday right when they opened and there was already a line. Be prepared to find parking because it's pretty tight. We were seated right away and greeted with a big smile and amazing customer service! This is a family owned restaurant and the brothers are so friendly and makes you feel at home! The spring roll was stuffed and delicious!! 10/10. The pho, is DELICIOUS. The broth is not too salty nor bland, definitely on the sweeter side, which I know some people like to add sugar to their pho, so this is a must try if you like a sweeter pho broth. The portions are huge and you get another bowl for your meat and the meat is sooooo tender. Falls right off the bone! Worth the price and the hype. Within 40 min of being there and leaving, there was a line still."
"Ambiance: A hidden gem in the suburbs of Carlsbad. Great place to get cocktails and hear lovely music. Beautifully decorated restaurants. Food: Food was excellent, so flavorful. Service: knocked off a star due to slow service. I don't think we came on a busy night. Most of the tables were empty. But it took a while for the serve to come get our drink order."
"Okay, entering this restaurant is an experience in of itself. I can't have a review of Chin's without first mentioning the decor! Although it's a little dim inside, the interior just screams your stereotypical Chinese restaurant. Truly, like it was transported straight out of a sitcom. It was very fun to dine somewhere like this.In terms of the food, I was pleasantly surprised, as I don't frequent Chinese cuisine as much as I wish I did. There is a great variety on the menu, and I absolutely loved how they had an entire panel dedicated to describing their sauces. Not only does this help you choose and understand the complexity of the flavors, but it also lets you check for any food allergies/dietary restrictions. The prices are higher during dinner, and they're on the relatively higher side, too. I'd say it was an average of $20 per dish. That being said, I recommend that your entire table orders multiple dishes and you share amongst yourselves. We ended up ordering the chicken lo mein, mapo tofu, hot and sour soup, honey walnut shrimp, imperial fish, and ma la scallop. This was the perfect amount of food for six people to share family style. It's also worth to mention that they served us a pot of rice without charge. The hot and sour soup was very sour, and although it wasn't to my personal taste, it was a favorite among my table (and the people around us!). I did, however, like that the server portioned a small bowl for everyone. I have to say that I was impressed by every dish I tried, especially the mapo tofu. And of course, everyone loves lo mein and honey walnut shrimp! I wish I could've tried more dishes. Maybe next time I come back to Chin's!!"
"Menya is one of my favorite ramen places so I wanted to visit their new location in UTC Mall. I learned that this location had items exclusive to this location like the Takayoki and Tonkatsu Garlic Ramen so I had to try these both. In addition we ordered Chicken Karaage and the spicy ramen. I found out that they make their broth in one central location for their San Diego restaurants. Their broth is one of my fave for ramen and extra bonus adding butter to it. They're a great addition to UTC and an easy spot for a quick meal while shopping."
"Easily one of my favorite spots on campus for lunch. My favorite item to get here is the chicken pesto sandwich. The chicken pesto sandwich has a nice creamy layer and is really cheesy and delicious. I've also gotten their buffalo chicken sandwich and tomato soup here, both of which are delicious as well. The portions at Croutons are pretty decently-sized compared to other things you can get on campus. Everything here tastes fresh and would definitely recommend this place to students on campus."
