"We tried The Habit Burger Grill located inside Bonita Point Plaza on Otay Lakes Rd in Chula Vista, CA. We ordered the Double Char Burger with fries and it was very delicious. The burger patties tasted fresh with the right amount of seasoning. The French fries were nice and crispy. This restaurant location was very clean and the service was great. We look forward to going back to this location."
"One of my favorite Better Buzz locations. The ambiance is nice. Parking can be a pain though. There is only street parking if you're lucky enough to find a spot. Customer service is great. The baristas are nice and welcoming. You can't go wrong with ordering their Best Drink Ever. It's made with their signature creamy vanilla syrup."

The employees were friendly and promptly greeted me. I ordered a medium Italian sub for my husband and a small #3(ham and capacolla) on a wheat roll. I thought my sandwich was pretty darn good. They have all the sandwich toppings and dressings you can think of. I ordered mine with lettuce, tomato, pickles, pepperoncinis, sweet hot mustard, and red vinegar. There was just the right amount of everything. The wheat roll was soft and fresh. My husband had the medium Italian sub. There was ham, salami, pepperoni, and capacolla. He thought it was really good and huge. He could have ordered the small sub like mine. There is some inside seating but we ate outside with our dog. We will be back!"
"Natural Style Chicken has an interesting menu. In addition to chicken they also have some Japanese and Korean dishes.I tried the kalbi ribs with rice. Rice was moist and garlic infused. I don't like the bitter flavor of garlic and that's all I could taste of the rice so I didn't eat it. Ribs also had that bitter garlic flavor but not as much. Ribs were kinda chewy. I would not order the kalbi or the rice again. It took awhile to get the garlic flavor out of my mouth. If you are a garlic lover this is the place for you. Cashier was nice and my order didn't take too long."
"Faster than a drive-thru...Go Joe! Joe Gaglione, yes you:)What a great spot for delicious Philly's. This is my second or third visit for the win. Today's sandwich, a medium LG Works sub sandwich. Footlong cheesey goodness packed with the famous Philly style beef. Just look at the photo ladies and gents-everything is spot on. I also liked the homemade Cole slaw; not too sweet or sour and plenty flavorful.I know from a previous visit the French fries are well worth the price. The fries here are a mound of crispy, lightly salted and hints of garlic potatoes.Enjoy the varied side bar items and create your very own Philly flavor The staff are attentive, friendly and pretty quick. Faster than a drive thru-Indoor, outdoor and food to go.Free parking."
"It's a cute and clean place. Very small and quaint. Service is on par. The mocha is very flavorful and you can taste the caffeine. They have a little cute courtyard sitting area to relax and do your work etc"
"First timers.. everything was outstanding! Breadsticks with garlic butter top notch! Family special is an incredible value- wings definitely great tasting, pizza with crust flavoring sets it above the rest! Sauce has a sweetness which I love. Friendly fast and efficient. Everything packed right to go- a must try pizza place!"
"Super friendly "mom and pop" donut shop tucked away in a small plaza in the farthest corner of Mira Mesa Blvd, in the same plaza as Loving Hut.The parking lot is small and can get very busy around mealtimes.Pro tip: The plaza below is connected to this one via a staircase. So if it's packed here, you can drive down to the adjacent plaza to park there and walk up the concrete staircase to get your daily steps in and offset the donut calories. Haha!Anywho, this is a donut shop review so I should actually write about donuts right?!I would categorize this as a traditional donut shop. Service is friendly and not pushy. They serve tasty and fresh donuts.I have visited multiple times and ordered different donuts and can report I have not taken home a single stale or yucky donut yet. Yay!They offer a selection of about a dozen traditional donuts and donut holes, with a daily special donut usually available.I should note that this shop also sells coffee and bottled drinks. In the corner of the shop there is a small set of old school vending machines, with gum balls, stickers and toys.My girls were delighted to discover they sold "Happy Bunny" stickers featuring a set of words to create your own custom sarcastic message. There are several tables set up inside that are well-spaced, if that is a concern. Just outside, there is a bench and a table. It's a bit of a drive for me to visit, but the donuts from this shop are the same ones we would eat after attending mass in person so there's a nostalgic factor to it for us. And happy memories help make happy kids."
"Date of most recent visit: November 4, 2023Review #1450!The family had come here a couple of weeks prior to celebrate my brother's birthday; while we shared the Fit For a King pizza (lots of cheese on that one), I resolved to come back here after donating blood to try one of their sandwiches.I went with the Super Torpedo ($12.65) - this was a pretty good sized sandwich stuffed with ham, capicolla, cotto, hard salami, and provolone cheese on a toasted Italian roll. As there's no sides with the sandwich, I also went with a side of Sicilian olives ($5.15). My food turned out good - I even brought half the sandwich home to share with my father - but it felt like there was something missing that I couldn't quite put my finger on. This Filippi's is spacious with a large parking lot. Service is quick enough.I suppose for Italian food, this location is what it is; given how each Filippi's location their own menus, though, perhaps I should stick to the Scripps Ranch location (closer to me... and it has prime rib!)."
"So freakin good! New food truck in Linda Vista. Lots of options of not only dogs but also fries, Philly steak, michelaguas, etc. Try their signature dog D&A. You won't be disappointed! Fresh food and amazing service. What more do you want ?"
"The Corner Mercantile & Eatery is a very convenient stop for those who need last minute food supplies for a day of kayaking or swimming at nearby La Jolla Shores. Parking is not easy in this area as everyone is looking for a spot before spending time at the beach. If you can make a quick run, then there is a 15-minute parking space across the street. The place had numerous shelves of dried goods. Next to the service counter was a refrigerated display of deli meats, cheeses, and salads. A small menu board was posted above and behind the register. A few small tables were available inside along with a large one right outside the front entrance. My goal was to pick up a sandwich on the go. I ended up choosing a chicken salad inside a French croissant. It came as two pieces with the tasty salad stuffed in the middle. The croissant was crispy and flaky. Perhaps the serving size could have been larger for the price. I gave my visit here a rating between three and four stars."
"Frank was awesome and his food suggestions were even better! Stopped in here for lunch on our way through- it's worth the 7 min drive off hwy- nostalgic little store & restaurant."

Overall: hip ambiance, fun menu, yummy tea, coffee, and food items, and kind serviceWe enjoyed our coffee, lavender tea latte, blueberry muffin, and better breakfast sandwich. I've never had a breakfast sandwich on a pretzel bun, but it was awesome, balanced, and flavorful. The lavender tea latte was delicious but a little too sweet for my personal preference. I loved the lighting and natural vibes of the place. The regular sized drinks were rather large.

I love this little sandwich shop! The owner Tim Lee is always there and so kind! I went in for a sandwich and he was the only one there making sandwiches. There were a couple people ahead of me and it took a few minutes before I ordered but it's always worth it! It has such nostalgic vibe! I always get the turkey, cheese, and avocado. It's delicious and my go-to meal when it's hot!

One of the few places I'd go for just basic teriyaki.I found this place through a former coworker. He asked me if I wanted something and I declined. While I'm down for a hole in the wall but this place was unknown to me. Being from SD I've never heard of this place. This place looks like a throw back to the early 90s. When I smelled his food in the office it smelled fire. The next time we went, I got half chicken teriyaki and half beef. Normally, I don't get beef dishes like this but that was the better option. The chicken isnt bad, but the beef was fire. The best advice I can say is call and order ahead. They take a while to cook their food. That is even if there is no line. That's not a knock, just something to understand. 15-20 minutes prep time is pretty common. Order ahead and it's not a problem. I will definitely come back as there's really no other teriyaki places in SD that I like. They also have some famous bodybuilders who used to include them as part of their diet. I can understand why, a very generous portion size with rice? That works for me.

Got two medium original cheesesteak sandwiches for my partner and I to have a little picnic at the zoo. These sandwiches were HUGE and absolutely stuffed with meat. We totally could have split one medium, I couldn't even finish a half. It was absolutely delicious, the cheese, bread and meat quality are excellent but it was absolutely so filling, not a good sandwich to plan to walk around after. The garlic fries were okay, I thought the smell and taste of the seasoning or oil was a little off putting. Maybe if I had them hot and fresh they would have been better but honestly don't need a side with the sandwich so I'll probably pass next time.

Local coffee shop tucked in this corner of North Park. No frills - their cappuccinos and lattes are usually good but not very strong. Super fast and friendly service, which makes this a great local gem. Unfortunately, I do not recommend their baked goods (croissants, muffins, banana bread); they taste like Von's market quality if that's your jam. Very dog friendly owners, I love that I can chill with my dog outside in the patio.Remote workers: I've gotten usually good signal taking a call outside, but you might have to toggle camera off a couple of times if there's too many laptops out chugging the wifi juice away.

Luckys, Deli, and Donuts is a hidden gem amidst the chaos of life - a delightful concoction of savory sandwiches, flaky croissants, and divine donuts that'll make you question why you ever bothered with kale smoothies. Walking into Luckys, I stumbled upon a scene straight out of a sitcom: a worker leisurely enjoying breakfast, only to spring into action at the mere mention of my sandwich order. It was like watching a culinary superhero transform from mild-mannered muncher to ham, egg, and cheese champion in the blink of an eye. He was sooo nice!! The ham, egg, and cheese croissant? Let's just say it was a symphony of oozing cheesy goodness, crispy buttery perfection, and warm embrace that made my taste buds do a happy dance. As for the donuts? Well, let's just say they disappeared faster than my willpower at a dessert buffet. And the best part? Despite my indecisive dawdling at 11 in the morning, Luckys still boasted a bountiful selection of donuts, as if the universe itself conspired to ensure my sugar cravings were satisfied. All of this gastronomic bliss came at a steal - less than $30 for a feast fit for a foodie king: two bags of chips, two breakfast sandwiches, a half dozen donuts, and a cup of milk!
Visit Restaurant Page"Dirty Birds is a delightful gem within San Diego, and thigs review is regarding their convenient location in UCSD's Price Center. The atmosphere is vibrant and inviting, boasting an open, airy ambiance that seamlessly connects the indoor dining area with the charming outdoor patio. Whether you choose to sit inside or outside, it's a first-come, first-served system where you place your order upfront and eagerly await your name to be called once your meal is prepared.I've savored every dish I've tried here, from their mouthwatering wings and hearty sandwiches to their flavorful pizzas and fresh salads. The portions are generous, and the flavors are simply outstanding. What truly sets Dirty Birds apart is their warm and efficient service, paired with a menu that offers great value for your money. It's no wonder I find myself drawn back here time and again, drawn by the relaxed environment and the added bonus of outdoor TVs perfect for catching a game while enjoying delicious food and drinks.Recently, I had the pleasure of having Dirty Birds cater a special event for my team, and it was a hit! The setup was perfect, and everyone raved about the delicious food--even the leftovers were fantastic. The staff member who assisted us that afternoon provided exceptional service with a friendly demeanor, making the experience even more memorable. Needless to say, I will definitely be returning to Dirty Birds in the future."
"One of my fave local sandwich shops. It's not over the top, but it's always consistent! It's also a great location to swing by before having a picnic in Balboa. I really like their Cobb salad. They are GENEROUS with the toppings and the house made vinaigrette is so unique and delicious. My go to bread is their onion bread. It's tasted good with everything I've tried. Today I enjoyed the Sword Swallower. It's somewhere between 4-4.5 stars for me. Gotta go with five stars because their name makes me giggle every time."
"Not sure why I didn't discover this Panera location even though it's been here for 2 years already. I can say that it still looks brand new, decent parking spaces with drive thru included; and the interior looks pretty clean as well.Following the lawsuit against their company, all their Panera locations now have to get rid of the charge drinks, if you want to buy them, you have to let one of the employee know to get it for you. I am on their unlimited drinks program for a long time, I could confirm that their caffeinated drinks didn't kill me or driving me crazy, I guess the person who suffered from it must have drank a tons uncontrollably, but oh well it ruined the experience for everyone else nationwide. Now that I found out about this spot, I can make a quick stop here in the future."
"" New Owner, With New Visions & Quality "The Hilltop Deli has recently gotten a new owner, Nancy. Nancy has come into the Hilltop Deli with the new visions of getting the Deli back to the Quality that it used to have. They have a beautiful new large Menu wall board for customers to look at, and they have added some new dishes and sandwiches. Lola and Lucy the sandwich makers are very nice and ask a lot of questions to make sure you are happy with your order. The Hilltop Deli also now has different Restaurant times and days they are open. They are open Monday Thru Friday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. The Deli also does Catering, and uses Instagram, Facebook, Grubhub, Uber Eats, and their web site at Hilltopdeli.com, to help customers order their menu items. I liked what I saw today, and the Reuben Sandwich I had was Delicious !"
"I've been returning to Extraordinary Fruits since 2015, and over its evolution, I have been impressed with the expansion and quality of the menu.Recently, I had a new menu item, the beef quesa tacos, and they were delicious. The beef was tender and juicy, and most importantly very tasty. The order comes in sets of three. I've also had in the past: the shrimp tacos which were great and they do not hold back on the shrimp, the French Toast, the breakfast wrap, the chicken Caesar wrap, and chilaquiles. They were all very tasty and filling. Also, they offer a variety of agua frescas and smoothies.I always look forward to what new item they plan to add to the menu."
"We found this place with the help of Yelp. We got excited about the 20% off coupon (on any $20+ purchase). We ordered a pizza and a salad and went to pick it up.The staff was friendly as we picked up the order. The margherita pizza was hand tossed, not thin and crispy, but meaty and hearty. The toppings tasted fresh but the pizza was just ok for me.The antipasto salad was not great...the salami was not rolled up as other places, the chunks of toppings were really big. The dressing was good, but the salad itself was just ok."
"A hidden gem along Paradise Valley Rd! The acai bowl here was delicious and affordable. Also ordered a mango smoothie, which was refreshing. The service was quick and friendly! There's ample of parking. Indoor and outdoor seating are available. Highly recommend Frutti Mas!"
"Really solid sandwiches. Decently sized and affordable. I really enjoyed the San Diego native (the alfalfa sprouts really make this sandwich amazing!) and the buffalo chicken. The triple decker was good and had no complaints! My nephews enjoyed their meal after a day of swimming in the pool. (But let's be honest, sandwiches ALWAYS hit different after swimming.)Sandwiches were made quickly. It's a small little shop but the guy at the register was super friendly/cool and answered all of my questions. I'll be back."
"Pretty bumping at this place on a Wednesday night at 10:30PM. LOTS of very different oolong teas makes it an interesting tea house. Not your typical boba shop with black milk tea or Thai tea.Super friendly staff. The server Michelle and barista Jessica are fantastic! Would recommend checking it out :)"
"This spot doesn't get a enough credit. Their breakfast and lunch items are all delicious especially their soups. The employees are kind, professional and helpful when you have questions in regards to the menu and recommendations. The food comes out quickly and is handles with care. Definitely recommend this spot!"
"Loved their antipasto salad. And love that they have the dressing on the side so you can add as much or as little as you like. I don't generally like a lot of dressing on my salads so this was perfect. We got the thin crust pepperoni pizza and it was delicious. Crunchy and the cheese and pepperoni are excellent. Definetly used the pepperoni which is nice because a lot of places don't put much on but they loaded it!!!The egg plant Parmesan spaghetti was very good and I don't generally like egg plant but loved this!!!Their deep dish pizza is amazing (had it years ago) I didn't realize I've never written a review. Very meaty and cheesy!! Superb!!"
"Nearly a year ago I was fortunate enough to stumble upon this Gem of the City. One expects the sandwiches to be consistent and the soups as well, after all, you simply follow the recipe. But for the service to ALSO be consistent is rather unique in San Diego. If you eat out a lot you know what I'm talking about. Poor Service 60% of the time. But not here, here they always greet you with a smile and are so helpful. My only sandwich place. Easy on the wallet, great parking, offering super quality Roast Beef. I only order the R.B., can not speak to other proteins."
"This is the third time we went to Haven. I have eaten all three vegan pizzas on their menu, I think there may be four but I can't remember. My husband had their vegan meatballs with pasta which is also quite good I stole some bites. This is probably the BEST vegan pizza I've had in San Diego so far and I've had a lot of them. They don't overdo the cheese and give you options for some tasty cheeseless pizza too, you won't miss the cheese I assure you. Nice happy hour with those delicious bread knots I've included here which we ended up taking home to go with the dinner I cooked last night. Nice atmosphere although it was a little chilly in there (this review wa.)s written in January 2024) so next time I will bring a sweater. Mission Brewing was closed but I believe they allow you to bring food from restaurants in there, KBC did. We don't usually come to Kennsington but since it's so close to our YMCA we will make it over once in a while to get some delicious pizza and pasta! Lot's of meat stuff too and more traditional carnivore options, I only am writing about the vegan and vegetarian menu because we don't eat meat. Try their house Chianti with a bowl of their pasta and their knots. Nice pairing and quite delicious!"
"Came to pick up a surprise bag order for the first time and chose a Brooklyn Pizzeria. I got two slices of pizza and a chicken roll. The pizza slices come thing but large in size and when I got the order, everything was so warm! I am pretty impressed by their pizza and that chicken roll was super cheesy. The pizza I had came with jalapenos, pineapple, and pepperoni. I thoroughly enjoyed everything and the freshness of the food when I picked it up to go!"
"The experience wasn't bad, and it usually isn't with Chick Fil A. However, this location is TERRIBLE. Chick Fil A always brings a lot of traffic to their locations. This parking lot is pitifully small and the drive thru backs up quickly. This leads to the drive thru line winding through the lot and to the street. The worst part is when the drive thru doesn't move, there isn't enough room for people to back out of parking spaces and leave. If you have to come here, I highly recommend waiting in the drive thru line. You'll have a really hard time exiting any of the parking spaces in the parking lot."
"We were pleasantly surprised by this place. The pho was really good, better than the place we usually go in the Los Angeles area, and the portions were generous. Our server was very friendly and helpful. Location was very convenient to our hotel. Would come again if we are in the area!"
"I have to update my review. This place has never let me down with their tortas and acai bowl! I'm reviewing and giving them a 5 star for the items above. Employees are nicer. Best acai bowls & tortas"
"This place was rated very high on Yelp. We were in the area so we decided to grab some lunch. Tommy at the front was really nice and is a hard worker. He handled everything including wiping the tables, taking orders, etc. we ordered the following ... *Seafood Cobb SaladHouse greens, grilled shrimp, blue cheese, bacon, tomatoes, eggs, avocado, house ranch dressing ( we asked for tomatoes on the side) *Rockfish Sandwich -Brioche bun, local beer-battered rockfish, lettuce, tomato, onion, You have a choice of house tartar sauce or chipotle mayo ( we requested both) *San Diego Seafood Chowder -Shrimp, clams, potatoes, oyster crackersI really enjoyed the rockfish sandwich. It was delicious and flavorful. The French fries that accompanied the sandwich were the standout! OMG so crispy and perfectly seasoned!!! The clam chowder soup was hot and yummy. I enjoyed it but I should have requested pepper for a little more seasoning. Lastly, the only concern I had was that I couldn't justify the "seafood" Cobb salad because it only had two pieces of shrimp. The presentation was nice but I felt it needed more seafood to be called a "seafood" club salad. Overall , I enjoyed the experience and those fries!!!!"
"Great food and Amie is a great bartender Super fun beach barChill and relaxing Check out the marlin's"
"This place has everything! I mean everything:Drinks (both alcoholic and non alcoholic)Chips ALL brands and flavorsCandy-every kind you can imagine Household itemsANDFRESH MADE food!!Everything from breakfast burritos to salads to sandwiches wraps and smoothies!!!I got two sandwiches a veggie sandwich and a turkey sandwich and they were both amazing! Packed with fresh produce and turkey and the most tastiest sqaw bread I've ever had!!!This place is 40 miles from my house but I love a good sandwich and will probably be making a trip down there just to get one! The gentleman at the register was so nice, he told me he would make a sandwich for me with anything I wanted! Everyone that came in the store to buy something seemed to be a regular and he greeted them by their first name! The store was clean which is VERY important to me!!!Overall great corner market! Awesome deli! And outstanding customer service!"
"The local Korean Fried Chicken (KFC) competition is heating up with another new entry into the SD market. BHC Chicken has opened its second US store with this location at The Mercato Food Hall in Sorrento Valley. They are supposedly South Korea's most popular KFC chain. The suite had capacity for about 50 customers. The menu wasn't all fried chicken as several traditional Korean dishes were available (e.g. spicy rice cakes). You could place an order using the self service kiosk or with a cashier. I found the options to be confusing, namely the fact that some of the sauces were unavailable to be paired up with certain chicken cuts. I don't if this was a supply issue or a speed bump in the operation because they had been in business for less than a week during my visit. The fried chicken is made to order so plan for additional waiting time while the food is being prepared. Two of the signature flavors were the Gold King (Korean soy sauce, honey, and garlic) and Bburinkle (Korean cheese seasoning). I chose the Bburing Cheese Balls as an appetizer which had the latter sprinkled on top of the deep fried product filled with mozzarella cheese. The fritters were chewier than I had anticipated as the pastry dough was glutinous rice (i.e. mochi). The cashier convinced me to order the thighs which I requested with a Classic Fried flavor. Eight pieces were served with sweet chili sauce per my choice. More of this dip was needed to match the portion size of the order. The batter was light and very crunchy. It was probably one of the better executed versions I have tasted in the SD area. Better Happier Choice... not so sure about this pretentious, abbreviated motto, but I felt my dining experience was at a four star level."
"I was desperate for somewhere to eat in this incredibly residential neighborhood. Ibis Market to the rescue! It's a combination convenience store (including liquor) and deli counter specializing in Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food. I ordered a falafel plate and stuffed grape leaves. They were kind enough to heat the falafel up for me. Everything was delicious, especially the garlic sauce! Prices were really reasonable. The people working here were super nice and even came outside to make sure I was enjoying my food! If I lived in this neighborhood I would love to consistently support this business!"
"I can't believe how lucky UCSD students are nowadays. Back then, we didn't even have an Ike's in San Diego and when they finally opened one, it was all the way in Hillcrest. I love the variety here and with such a huge menu, you can try something different almost every time. With each sandwich, you can choose the type of bread and there's a few "freebie" add-ons such as lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, red onions, etc. Each order also comes with a Tootsie Caramel Apple Pop...that's always been like that, no matter which location I've been to. Menage A Trois: Halal chicken, honey mustard, BBQ sauce, honey, and pepperjack, swiss, and cheddar cheese. Every sandwich is also served with the Dirty Sauce, which is their garlic aioli. This sandwich is on the sweeter side with the honey and BBQ sauce. Be careful of the sauce, it was constantly dripping and made a mess. I was a little worried that the chicken would be dry but it was super moist, almost as if it just absorbed all the sauces. I ordered the food to-go and it was ready in less than 5 minutes! Glad to see that they have their system down, but I do wonder how it'll be when it gets busy. Come for their Grand Opening Event at 10AM on May 25th, 2023! The first 50 people in line will receive a free T-shirt and sandwich! Also all sandwiches will be $7.97, which is almost a 50% discount. Also, be sure to join the rewards program which gives a free sandwich on your birthday."
