"Little Italy of course is always our go-to for Pastas or Pizzas. I love how this place mostly the restaurants has a lot of outdoor seating. We dined-in at most of the restaurants here, but we recently tried their LITTLE ITALY FOOD HALL. There are a variety of vendors here like Asian food , Ice cream, pizza, etc. We picked AMBROGIO 15 to visit and we got: *PIZZA BURRATA E PROSCIUTTO CRUDO *PIZZA VEGGIE LOVERWe chose to be seated outdoors 'coz we have our 18-year-old Dog Bambam with us, plus we wanted to enjoy the view of the Plaza. At the time we were there someone was singing Italian songs at the plaza with people dancing to the music. Our pizza was made fast, but I kinda noticed that the Artichokes (My favorite) in our PIZZA VEGGIE LOVER were in bits and pieces, and mostly Diced. I was expecting to see a bigger cut of Artichokes in my Veggie lover Pizza, and it tasted like those Artichokes from the Cans that you can find from the grocery stores. However, the PIZZA BURRATA E PROSCIUTTO CRUDO was DELICIOUS! No complaints on that one. I love Prosciutto, but I'm gonna ask them next time if I can buy more Prosciutto to add to my Pizza 'coz our dog also loves Prosciutto. And ohh the BIG imported BURRATA in the middle was beautiful on the pizza. It was good, but I hope that they were pre-slice 'coz when my son tried to slice some, he actually sliced almost half of the BURRATA for his pizza ;) Between the two pizzas we had, we liked the PIZZA BURRATA E PROSCIUTTO CRUDO, and if ever we are in the area of the Food hall again here in Little Italy, we will still try a few more of their pizza on their menu List."

"Elvira is a cute restaurant and more casual than the sister restaurant Cesarina, even down to the menu which has a big pizza section. My husband and I ordered an appetizer, pasta, and pizza. The appetizer which was a special that night was the most memorable bite. It was an extra large ravioli the size of a large post-it filed with cheese, meat, and mushrooms, then coated in breadcrumbs and deep fried. It was served with a béchamel that was delicious. The cacio e Pepe was superb, perfectly salted, very peppery, and had a nice chew to the pasta. The pizza was our least favorite and don't think we'd order again. It was the Provolona which had sausage, mushrooms, and actual slices of provolone cheese. It lacked flavor, the crust was okay, and was one note. The service was impeccable just as it always is at Cesarina and restaurant itself gorgeous."

"June 21, 2024 down in the Encinitas area hanging out with my high school friends celebrating their birthdays. So many great places to eat in the area went to best peace and brew in Cardiff by the sea Even though the pizza smelled delicious display pizza look delicious. "Date of most recent visit: November 4, 2023Review #1450!The family had come here a couple of weeks prior to celebrate my brother's birthday; while we shared the Fit For a King pizza (lots of cheese on that one), I resolved to come back here after donating blood to try one of their sandwiches.I went with the Super Torpedo ($12.65) - this was a pretty good sized sandwich stuffed with ham, capicolla, cotto, hard salami, and provolone cheese on a toasted Italian roll. As there's no sides with the sandwich, I also went with a side of Sicilian olives ($5.15). My food turned out good - I even brought half the sandwich home to share with my father - but it felt like there was something missing that I couldn't quite put my finger on. This Filippi's is spacious with a large parking lot. Service is quick enough.I suppose for Italian food, this location is what it is; given how each Filippi's location their own menus, though, perhaps I should stick to the Scripps Ranch location (closer to me... and it has prime rib!)."

"This place is stunning! I loved the food, service, and the live entertainment.... everything! All dishes had beautiful presentation and tasted great, like the Branzino, Pork and Polenta dish, and my Linguine alle Vongone. We tried the octopus to share, which again, was presented and cooked so nicely with the octopus wrapped around the toasted bread. I was relieved the texture was not chewy at all, which I thought it would be. My Linguine alle Vongone had sooo many clams and everything was full of flavor. I demolished the whole dish, no leftovers. Mathieu offered the best service! He was super friendly, always had a smile on his face, and gave us everything we asked for. We went on a Wednesday evening and they have Roman Palacios + band perform live music for a few hours every week. He's amazing! You have to go when he's there. This restaurant itself is pretty. Surprisingly has a lot of seating with both indoor and outdoor (outdoor patio just as stunning). Nice and clean. Highly recommend!"

I decided pizza was a definite crowd pleaser and found SD Pizza online and decided to give them a call. JT was awesome in helping me plan for everything and communication couldn't have been better. He even emailed me the morning of the event to tell me rain was sadly in the forecast and he would be coming prepared just in case. I ordered appetizers and 4 different kinds of pizza from JT - he set up tables in the backyard and had everything ready for the party. When his time was almost up, he even asked me for some trays of my own to leave us extra pizza for the rest of the night. "Mr. Pete is one of the few genuine business owners out there in a sea of ever constant mediocrity. I first had his Detroit-style pizza at a brewery popup. I finally visited the Kearny Mesa location recently which occupies a former Taco Bell drive-thru and dine-in restaurant. They kept all the former bells and whistles to maintain that awesome element of 90's nostalgia. Motor City is his jam and so many Detroit sports team memorabilia festoons the space. I felt right at home having grown up watching the back-to-back champions, the Redwings, the -- in the words of my father -- "losing" Lions (they takin it all the way this year though!), "terrible" Tigers, and the Pistons (no name to bestow). You'll even spy Detroit-made "pop" called "Faygo" in the fridges. The owner's pride in his hometown is extremely evident! The menu features their Detroit-style pizza but other notable items include their Double Smash Burgers, Detroit Style Coney Dogs, and other Michigan classic comfort foods. You are able to order pizza as a whole pie (8x10 pies or 4-pan slices) or by the slice at $5-6.50ea. During out 1st visit, they weren't in the warmer next to the cash register and it was heated up somewhere in the back. This was the definite preferred method as the pizza slices came out gooey and with crisped up edges. When they are sitting in the warmer under the heat lamp, on the other hand, they are served right away and are definitely without that usual crunch. The smash burger was a surprise sleeper at just $7. Served on a toasted sesame bun, the patties had optimal sear and were not too greasy. Regardless of slight reservations, I have left with nothing but positive vibes. It does one good to support a business owner with what seems like rare passion towards his craft."

This is an excellent spot for a rooftop bar with all the views, from the water to Petco Park and is also a great pre-game stop before a game. I also appreciate the fire pit and fireplaces because it can get cold up there. Service has been decent and noticed there were a lot of waitresses working this particular day. Food & Drink: It is on the pricier side especially since you're in downtown but they do have happy hour 7 days a week (M-F 4-6pm and Sat-Sun 3-6pm) which is nice. "We used to live close to this place and went quite a bit, so when my wife was having her hair done close to Crust all I could think of was that pie there are very few places down in this north county area, where the pizza is exactly how I like it.Thin crust, great ingredients, all fresh, and a variety of how those ingredients are put on the pie. I'm not a big fan of mushrooms or red onions and Scott the manager gets that. So you walk out with exactly the pie and the flavor profile that you want that for me makes a great pizza and a great experience.That's the takeout part. "This is the third time we went to Haven. I have eaten all three vegan pizzas on their menu, I think there may be four but I can't remember. My husband had their vegan meatballs with pasta which is also quite good I stole some bites. This is probably the BEST vegan pizza I've had in San Diego so far and I've had a lot of them. They don't overdo the cheese and give you options for some tasty cheeseless pizza too, you won't miss the cheese I assure you. Nice happy hour with those delicious bread knots I've included here which we ended up taking home to go with the dinner I cooked last night. Nice atmosphere although it was a little chilly in there (this review wa.)s written in January 2024) so next time I will bring a sweater. Mission Brewing was closed but I believe they allow you to bring food from restaurants in there, KBC did. We don't usually come to Kennsington but since it's so close to our YMCA we will make it over once in a while to get some delicious pizza and pasta! Lot's of meat stuff too and more traditional carnivore options, I only am writing about the vegan and vegetarian menu because we don't eat meat. Try their house Chianti with a bowl of their pasta and their knots. Nice pairing and quite delicious!"

Each large slice cost $3.The crust's flavor was mild, but had very good texture. It offered a light crispiness on the outside and with good soft center. It was a thin to medium crust. The sauce was well balance between acidity and sweetness, not much of either, just a good tomato flavor. The sausage on the one slice was very good.They offer a good variety of whole pies and pizza by the slice. At the moment, they do not offer a combo slice deal, but it is in the works. There are a few tables available inside the Pizzeria. Service was super friendly."

I tried the margharita, the BBQ, the "I can't not believe it is pepperoni" slice. All the slices were great. I was particularly fond of the BBQ sauce on one of the slices. I learned it is a house made kosher sauce, and it's delicious! It's definitely a keeper.The plant based pepperoni was great, too. It is a little on the think side, but that promotes a good chew. Its flavor was spot on, and their mind and palate registered pepperoni indeed. The Margharita slice was good, too. The sauce was tasty, and the basil was fresh. The crust on all their pizzas is slightly bready and could use a little chew, in my opinion. It is a very good house made kosher crust.They offer a good amount of inside seating. The menu consists of pizzas, leafless salads, appetizers, soups, pastas, and my favorite: calzones, which I look forward to trying on my next visit. The service was very friendly."

This pizza hit the mark! Maybe it could have been cooked for three seconds less, but otherwise, the bottom looked perfectly cooked, and the amount of crust hit the spot. I felt it was a healthier style of pizza, with and thinner crust, less cheese and heavy toppings. However, I do remember if you order pepperoni on your pizza, it is beef pepperoni. This will be different tasting of course, and have ordered mostly veggie options since. I believe a large 2- topping pizza is an ongoing deal for only 7.99.Over the years, we moved on to falafel, hummus and the shawarma platter which have all been tasty and prepared well, my favorite being the hummus. For sure, I'm no hummus guru, but among the many(10 at least)I've tried, it is the best I've had! Amazingly smooth and creamy, with a slight nutty flavor that's unparalleled. My second order of TooGoodToGo was from this place. My surprise bag was $3.99. Parking was extremely difficult due to its location being in North Park aka No Park. But they were on time with prepping the pickup. My surprise bag... in this case, my surprise box came with (3) slices of pizza. At first I thought it was one pizza, then I saw two, and then I saw three! 2 deep dish and 1 regular. The crust here is amazing! I could eat the crust by itself - drizzle some honey to cut some of the acidity from the tomato sauce and eat it with the crust. PEPPERONI DEEP DISH - yum! It was hard to see the pepperoni as it was deep in the dish. VEGGIE DEEP DISH - yum! Veggie pizza sounds boring BUT all the veggies really shined on this pie. Layers and layers of cheese, pizza sauce, and veggies. CHEESE THIN & CRISPY - it was basic, not super thin but on the thin side. Tasted average. What I liked about the pizza is that it didn't get hard and stale when saving the pizza in the fridge. After a quick warm up the pizza tasted exactly as it should."
