"One of my favorite times of the year is San Diego Restaurant Week! I love trying out new restaurants, and The Bronze Bird is a must return when you're in the Downtown area. I love the ambiance of tje restaurant, it wasn't busy and I was seated right away. I easily made reservations online and was able to adjust my reservations due to trying to find parking.Drink: Strawberry Martini - So refreshing! Loved it. Pre-Fixe Restaurant Menu Picks:Artichoke and Grana Padno Bisque. Creamy and delicious. Pan Seared Halibut. Flaky with a nice sear, loved the beans with pancetta. Very filling.Orange Blossom Panna Cotta. Our waiter, Javier, topped it off with Grand Marnier! So good, very light. No, he didn't light the Grand Marnier on fire, lol. Customer service was superb! I can't explain how welcoming the staff was, I truly felt like I was a guest at the hotel. Definitely must return!"
"There's a small restaurant in the Arts District of Solana Beach. It was previously named "Wild Notes," which closed for restoration and reopened as the Tavern. I an happy to say, it has the same owners, and more importantly, the same quality food and specialty cocktails. During my last two visits here, our server was WHITTNEY! She provides EXCELLENT service from the moment you walk in the door throughout your dining experience. The food, vibe, decor is well thought out and planned. Enjoy, steak, seafood, pasta, chicken or vegetarian meals. You will feel like a VIP!! It is IMPORTANT to mention, this restaurant is in the same building as the Belly Up Tavern and concert venue. The kitchen is toward the front and center and serves customers in the restaurant, patio, main concert floor and upstairs loft. On concert nights, it is extremely busy, seating is limited and reservations are a must (Open Table app). Customers receive PREFERENTIAL service so you can have your dinner AND gain EARLY access to the concert through a special door in the back. Show your dinner receipt to the security guard. If you don't eat in the restaurant, you must wait on the sidewalk for the doors to open at 7PM. What are you waiting for, adventures await you! Check the website, buy concert tickets, make dinner reservations and hit me up, I want to go back! You know the drill, don't forget to tell 'em Rosemary sent ya!"

And the guacamole with salsa and perfect chips were incredible. Great burgers and street tacos, nachos and loaded carnitas fries.... oh yum. Love the great service and the poolside buzzers. Coming back again tomorrow for a repeat!"
"Top 5 restaurants I've tried in San Diego. I don't know if I've had bar food this good. PB Alehouse is a large bar/restaurant with a rooftop eating area as well. The place is a combination of college kids and families. We decided to sit on a booth on the bottom floor dining room, which was very comfortable. Our server was Morgan. Morgan was beyond impressive. Such a sweetheart. Really helpful with menu suggestions, and quite attentive especially given the crowded nature of the alehouse. We started with the Fried Calamari. It was really good, cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The chipotle aioli on the side was a hit. We also got some French Onion Soup, which was one of the best FO soups I've ever tried in my life! Melty cheese and really authentic tasting broth. My Mom got the Short Rib Plate. OMG, I was so mad I didn't get this. I had a bite and it was absolutely delectable. Melt in your mouth meat, buttery mashed potatoes, soft carrots, and delicious au jus and horseradish sauce. My Dad got the Fish Tacos which we all agreed were really good. I got the Steak Frites which were phenomenal. My steak was perfectly cooked and the fries were crispy. We ended with a delicious Chocolate Cake. Perfect amount of sweetness. We will definitely be back when in San Diego. PB Ale House will be highly recommend to my AZ friends who visit Cali."
"Would have given this 2 stars had it not been for good service. Pros:- The beet appetizer had good flavor.- Service was pleasant and timely.Cons:- The "whipped goat cheese" in the beet appetizer was pure liquid, like heavy cream, and the presentation lacked finesse. They hand ripped some basil over the top - a quick chop would have worked better for the look and taste. - The lamb ragu wasn't very ragu-y to me. There were no tomatoes in the sauce, which is usually part of a ragu. It was braised lamb in a loose brown liquid over pasta. There was also a rogue lump of blue cheese in my pasta that wasn't supposed to be there and it threw off the experience.- The yuzu tart was not good. It looked nice, sure. But I'm not sure how this dish gets messed up. The crust was chalky, the yuzu center majorly lacked flavor/sugar, and the center was very stiff like it had gelatin or too much egg. The meal was okay, but for the price it underdelivered."
"Definitely a sold 4 stars. Food is delicious although super pricey. Service is a hit or miss depending on the server you get. Came here twice over a course of a year and we did enjoy the food. They do have happy hour M-F in the afternoon but the food menu is very limited to only flatbread. The dinner menu is pretty extensive but also very expensive. We ordered a burger and the meatloaf, both were very delicious. Cooked well, tender and not too dry. For the burger, I really loved the sweet tater tots, I could eat a whole basket of that! Dessert was incredible! Service was attentive the first time we went but the second time was super spotty with a different server. Parking is easy and the bathroom are clean."
"This restaurant has a casual bar area and a warm welcoming dining room on the back side. The service from our waiter, Orion, was exceptional. He was very knowledgeable on the menu and took good care of us. It was truly 6 star service! On Mondays, this place has some of the best prime rib in town with their Monday special. Even the end cut was perfectly pink and tender. Their filet mignon entree was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. The steak came with whipped seasoned potatoes and a vegetable. I asked for carrots and asparagus. They offered a birthday dessert for our group since we were celebrating a birthday. We absolutely loved this local eatery and fine dining place!"
"I'm from New York and I follow Sam the Cooking Guy on Social Media.First time in San Diego and someone from my conference mentioned Sam has a place?? Cool man, lemme slide by and grab some food.Street parking was easy-peasy, I walk into a nice looking food court. Lots of booths - food choices but I know what I want, tacos. Now we all know New York City makes the best tacos, lemme see what Sam is putting out to the public. I see a few young men behind the counter hustling. They're cooking, stirring and making things happen. I'm directed to an iPad like register and tell them I have tots with my Yelp check in.*Huzza!I ordered two specialty tacos, Nashville Hot Chicken and Duck. Both of them, fantastic choices. The duck was moist and the Nashville chicken had the right amount of heat. The tots? Tots aren't an east coast thing. I went back to the conference taking a tot, dipping it in ketchup and seeing all the punk asses wanting me to share. Hey, there's a no sharing rule in my world. Keep your hands outta my tots! Not not tacos had good food and good vibes. 5 star experience from me"
"Sweet bar inside Hotel Indigo! *Ocean View Bar & Grill* is a wonderful bar to check out when staying at this hotel in Del Mar. Upon checking into this hotel this bar is located immediately to the right near the entrance. The inside has a nice ambiance and cute decor. The bar has open entry overlooking the outdoor patio with a nice view of the inside center of the hotel, pool, and a view of the ocean. This place was not that busy the Saturday early evening I came by as it is probably mainly just hotel guests here. I had a margarita which was made well and refreshing to enjoy outside. The bartenders offer good service. Overall, this bar/restaurant is a good option for hanging out and catching the sunset with some bites and drinks."
"I read an article and this bbq ranked No.19 in the whole US, though I never heard of it before. I tried it yesterday with my husband and friends. We had a big rack of big ribs, with side sampler, Mexican corn, onion rings, fries and kid size pulled pork sandwich, plus corn bread and peach cobbler for dessert. The price here is very reasonable and the quantity is very good. The foods are very delicious, and especially the beef ribs, probably the best in SD I've ever had so far. All the sides are very very good, I love potato salad, coleslaw, fries, beans, corn.... The corn bread is also highly recommended. The only thing I don't really into is the peach cobbler, too doughy for me. Anyways, it's a nice place to have a great bbq!"

"Returning from a busy work day in San Diego, Fusion was just what the doctor ordered! Walked by the establishment a couple of times before entering because I wanted to scope-out the local scene, and Fusion is the best option in the area by far! A live house bar, relaxing atmosphere, great ownership, cool clientele, and delicious, trendy food. When I finally made my choice to enter, I was met by "Jamie" and we immediately felt welcomed and at home. She offered two seats at the bar and continued to explain the vibe of the bar, as I fell in love with the band playing just 4 or 5 feet from us. "Soul Seekers" a Classic Rock from the 60's and 70s group led by Pastor Bruce De Soto playing all of your favorites to perfection made the evening totally memorable! And the lead female singer was amazing to say the least! We sat, ordered a couple of pints from the establishment's large selection of draft craft beers, and a light appetizer of "Crispy Bogogi Fries" having dined only a couple of hours prior. The fries were delicious and the Voodoo Ranger Juicy Hazy IPA and Rincon Hazy IPA beers were crisp and cold. While sipping our beverages, we enjoyed the familiar tunes played by the band and watched as others swayed and danced to the grooves. Service was "top-shelf" and extraordinarily customer service oriented. After a couple of hours we reluctantly departed for home, and planned for our next visit. Thank you Jamie and Pastor Bruce for a memorable evening! If you are looking for a cool, laid-back, but lively place to enjoy great entertainment, delicious food, and a friendly crowd...then Fusion is the spot!Highly recommended."

Located inside the Westin, this is an exceptionally good place for breakfast in the Gaslamp. Eggs and bacon were cooked exactly as I had requested. The staff is friendly, helpful, and courteous. The host sat me immediately. Jessica was an outstanding server!

My wife and I tried Tavern a while back during a birthday day trip down to Solana Beach. After looking at the menu and loving the music themage inside, I was hooked and knew that this was the place I wanted to try. The place was not at all busy as we were the first guests inside, and we decided to sit outside on the patio as it was a nice day out. We were quickly seated and given our menus and a few minutes to look them over. We both ordered iced teas to drink, and I opted to go with the butternut squash tacos for my meal as this has become a favorite of mine (butternut squash) when on the menu. These came accompanied by Spanish rice as well. Despite being the only people inside for the time being, the food took an extraordinarily long time to come out to us. It felt like we had waited an eternity for the food. When the food did arrive, the presentation was nice, and everything looked fresh and vibrant, but everything was just OK. The butternut squash was a bit bland and not seasoned much, and despite the salsa and rice, everything was just a little too plain for my tastes. After waiting that long and then not liking the quality, it was hard to decide what to rate our visit. Despite the shortcomings of our visit, the place had a cool vibe to it, the server we had was friendly enough but for the price and quality I don't know that I would come back, although I do believe in giving places second chances so we will see. Overall, this was a very so so experience but not bad by any means.

For on property hotel food this isn't a bad option. Food and drink are priced reasonably considering its poolside service. The food isn't awesome, but it isn't bad... Just don't expect anything amazing, other than the service. The staff are very helpful and quick to offer menu and drink suggestions.

Service and ambience are fine so I give it two stars. Otherwise would be 1.We went for dinner. Food took forever, and I left hungry after having appetizers, entree, and dessert. I would say if the prices reflected the amount of food, it would be fine, but just so expensive for what you get. Taste was just average as well. My steak was undercooked and my friend's was overcooked.

Exceptional service and live music to enjoy on Friday nights. It's ambiance and setting make for a very nice date night or a dinner for a special event. Linen tablecloths and table settings so I did feel a bit underdressed as this was a very kind and generous impromptu dinner invitation with colleagues. Would definitely dress up next time. Friends recommended Bellamy's steaks and treated us to a wonderful meal. We enjoyed their filet mignons, Cesar salad appetizers, a well-seasoned seared ahi entree with crisp vegetables, and their fried calamari appetizer. Their calamari appetizer was delicious! Loved the crispness and the flavor of the batter. Really enjoyed the seared ahi tuna entree as well. Could easily share between two gusts. Steaks were very much enjoyed as well. Our server was a young lady and I do not recall her name, apologies, but their service is very attentive! Very thorough and professional with their hospitality. Very cool street to check out here in Escondido as we did pass their "Cruise" event, where they lined up vintage cars and seemed to draw a crowd, even families and a comedy club nearby. Nothing that it's a cool neighborhood to visit in Escondido.

Needed a quick and easy lunch and the Little Italy Food Hall was the perfect choice! I got two tacos: the smokey pork and mac and the cashew chicken. Both delicious in their own ways! I'm usually pretty basic with my tacos but decided to try the mac and cheese one, and it was pretty heavy but it was so good! We also got chips and guac. The guac seemed super fresh. I loved the chicken taco and would definitely get it again.
Visit Restaurant Page""I'M WITH THE BARTENDER..."(5 stars)The Hillcrest place you go to pregame before stepping out to the scenes. - FOOD: good bar food- PRICE: fair- SERVICE: spectacular - VIBE: fun and lively We stopped in during prime time (around 8p) and it was busy! Lots of hot gay boys filled the bar - predominantly male scene. I'm not gay but them boys would make me wish I was a gay boy. Everyone seems like a regular here and everyone was so darn friendly and welcoming. I felt the positive fun vibes here and foresee myself coming through more often. A friend is a bartender here and I see why she loves her work. Decided to do a surprise visit - it's my first time in the scene outside of pride. :: FOOD :: TRADITIONAL BUFFALO WINGS ($14) - Served with pickled celery and house made buttermilk ranch. Got the sauce on the side. I love me some chicken wings! They were average but delicious. HIGHLY RECOMMEND TAVERN SLIDERS ($15) - 3 Angus patties with cheddar cheese, house-made pickles, ketchup, and garlic aioli served on Hawaiian rolls. Plumpy little bite size burgers served with a thick patty. The fries it came with were seasoned well and crispy. RECOMMEND CHICKEN STRIPS BASKET ($17.50) - Crispy, hand-battered chicken strips and fries, served with house made ketchup and buttermilk ranch. Our friend recommended this, although a lot of food was already ordered and yet to be consumed this was ordered on top of that because it's the "popular" item many people order. It came with 3 gigantic very breaded pieces of chicken. While popular amongst everyone else who orders this it was just ok for me. Very giving potions doesn't always make up what lacks and I felt that something in this dish lacked and didn't wow me. I think I prefer naked chicken wings. BERRY DRINK - I asked for "something fruity, cocktaily... with gin" and was served a big drink that tasted refreshing and fruity!!! I will leave the mixology up to the pros, I trust their judgements. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Will def be back.JABA APPROVED. Until the next time..."

"Sorry Phil, Smokey is now my dude for SD BBQ. Yep, I've loved Phil's for a long time and I would often hit their Santee location at least once a month but Smokey has come in hot and stolen my loyalty. I now try to make it in for a few drinks and to work my way through their very eclectic menu that also sticks to the staples that all BBQ spots should offer. Some food highlights:- The short rib. This thing is powerful and worth every penny. I believe it clocks in at $30 dollars and it's tender, juicy, and truly delicious. I also believe that you can order the short rib for two with a price tag of $55. Bring a date, sucka! - The pizza. I know, I know, who orders pizza at a BBQ joint? I do, and I do so shamelessly. Is it on par with a pie that you'd find at a pizza specific place? No, but this certainly scratches an itch. - The pulled pork sandwich. Okay, let me hear it... "Brad, you basic b!tc#." Call me what you like, pulled pork is my jam especially when topped with some slaw. The staff here is so dope too. I've caught Nikki's name but don't believe I've ever introduced myself to the manager, just small talked her. She's awesome and if you play your cards correctly you may even land yourself a toasted marshmallow, torched right before your eyes. Smokey, you've done well and have earned my biz. See you soon!"
"For our dinner we decided to try OCEANA COASTAL KITCHEN. This restaurant is inside the Catamaran resort hotel . The lobby is beautiful, there's more of a nature feel to it.We chose to be seated outdoors, and there is a view of the beach! A lot of people on are on bikes, playing volleyball, using rentals for water activities. I didn't expect how Fun their back area would be, 'coz at the Front the place is so peaceful, but at the back there's so many people hanging out at the beach. Before I made a reservation I asked if they are serving a CRISPY WHOLE SNAPPER and the lady on the phone said they do. After the conversation with the Lady on the phone, it only took us 15 minuites to get into the restaurant and when I was about to order my Snapper fish our server said that they were out. I got dissapointed 'coz that's what I wanted to eat for dinner, but we were already seated so we just ordered the following: *PINA COLADA *CRISPY PORK RIBS *ARTICHOKE FLAT BREAD *SMOKE SALMON CITRUS ROLL *BOUILLABAISSE - Shrimp, mussels, clams, market fish, safron tomato broth, rouille, and baguette. My PINA COLADA was very good. Our PORK RIBS for our appetizer was flavorful, but it was also very Hard, the meats were hard to pull from bones. My Son had a SMOKED SALMON CITRUS ROLL and he said it was fresh and good. For the BOUILLABAISSE, my Husband said he was not impressed about it 'coz he said the broth tasted like a Minestrone soup. But I enjoyed my ARTICHOKE FLATBREAD, there was a good amount of Artichoke on them.Ambiance and service was great, some foods were good and some not. It's just an okay place."
"I had the best food and drink at Soliel@k! ALL of it truly rivaled even the best restos in Las Vegas! This isn't surprising to me though, because San Diego has a top-spot when it comes to good restaurants and food in general.Customer service at Soleil@k is quietly understated. Waiters are soft spoken, and are intuitive enough to respect your need for quiet solace if necessary. But even then, the level of efficiency does not take away from the non-intrusive and low key service. It's the perfect place for you if you are a business-person who likes great food. Or if you are a single lady and want to enjoy your time by having an elegant meal alone, and leave the hustle and bustle of a far too fast-paced world behind. These times are pretty few and far between, so we must enjoy them when we can recognize them. Soleil@k is such a place to be able to enjoy these moments. Trust me, this is a unique and pleasant find.Soliel@k is Marriott's Gaslamp Quarter Hotel's restaurant, located on the lobby level. There is additional dining outdoors, along the front of the hotel, where you can sit and people watch while dining. Located a few steps from Petco Park, the hotel is located at the mouth of the Gaslamp District, so it gets a lot of foot traffic. One of the meals that really stands out for me was my lunch, which was a cheeseburger. It wasn't just your ordinary cheeseburger though. I asked for bacon and counted 7 whole pieces of bacon on that burger (yes, 7 pieces!)!! It came on a poppy-seeded bun that was perfectly toasted. The taste was out of this world delicious! I ate all of it, and I usually never finish a burger in one sitting. As if that wasn't enough, alongside it came a spring salad, with a homemade salad dressing that was so good, I asked them for a to-go box so I could eat the rest of the salad later. Funny, cause I don't ever remember asking for a to-go box FOR A SALAD! Haha! This lunch was a reasonably priced $12.00.I highly recommend this beautifully designed and decorated restaurant! Go today! I promise you, you won't be disappointed!*****FIVE FANTABULOUS STARS!!!!!"
"Great service. Great food. Clean bathrooms. Parking is hard so walk there and park by Mission Bay park. Had the burger with sweet potato fries and Sauv blanc and was delish. Trust!"
"Pretty cool that you can see/hear the Padres play from the patio. They were busy on game day but our server did great. My burger was yummy and satisfying, I would've finished it if I weren't so full.I was happy with what I got, just order wisely. The ahi tacos looked sad, lol."
"A nice little spot in the 4th floor of a hotel. Very open area and comfortable seats. I came here just before a Padres afternoon game so it wasn't to busy. There seem to be plenty of people around to check on us. Food and drink are pretty typical hotel prices. There is a pool that you can get a day pass to, but really isn't big enough to do anything. I would come here again before a game for a drink or two."
"First off the view is incredible beautiful ocean views as you drive up then you see the incredible marina full of yachts. Secondly the service is one of the best I've seen. Everyone was attentive and friendly. Made the evening really special. I ordered the special of the evening which was a New York Steak. It was cooked perfect at mid-rare and incredibly flavorful and was trimmed up the best I've ever seen. As you can see it was big. The potatoes were tasty as was the veggies. This was tender and juicy and the grill added a nice flavor of fire very good cook. They gave us all free desserts I chose the key lime pie. Wow it did not disappoint. It was incredible. Tangy and creamy and raspberry cooly was sweet and tart. Great dessert. This place is great. A little spendy but you get what you pay for and from time to time it's worth paying for it. Four of us ate for under 300$ without tip."
"Had happy hour today and the service was impeccable! The modern design is perfect and it was clean and ready for guests at 4pm. The jamon croquettes were bland and they were out of caviar! The oysters were amazing! I would order 2 next time! The halibut tempura was exceptional. I will be back!"
"Good breakfast place for the family. Entire party must be present to be seated. Wide variety of options on the menu for breakfast & lunch and they have a kids menu. The artichoke & chicken sausage omelette was a decent sized portion. I bit into something hard and woody and it turned out to be a vegetable stem of some sort that was inedible. The vegetable & egg burrito was a decent size too and had fresh veggies in it. Both entrees were bland and lacked flavor & salt so thankfully the orders came with a side of salsa that we used to give some flavor. Each table has Tabasco sauce too. Entrees come with side options which we choose cut up fruit. The fruit was alright but some pieces we could tell had been cut up a while ago and were discolored. Table service was ok. Self serve at the coffee bar and for tea. Unlimited coffee & tea. Best thing was the selection of coffees and milks for coffee. Prices were reasonable. They have a small parking lot but there is ample street parking. Indoor and outdoor dining available."
"Stopped in on Saturday evening to take advantage of their Happy Hour at the bar. Never made it into the restaurant area, but sitting at the bar provides great views of the marina and water. The bartenders and wait staff were very friendly, and took good care of us. Just off the bar is a large, tent covered patio, with live music and dancing. We had a couple Happy Hour drinks, and ordered a couple items from the HH menu: Potato Skins ($8), Zucchini ($7), and Wings ($9). We also wanted to try their Clam Chowder, which I was told is fantastic, but they were out and brought us their Albondigas (Mexican Meatball) Soup ($11) instead. I have to say, it was quite flavorful. The HH food was good, but typical bar food. Happy Hour is Sunday - Wednesday ALL DAY, and Thursday - Saturday 3 - 6 PM.Seems like there are a lot of "regulars" that hang out here, and the atmosphere was lively. Overall, we had a good time, and I'd definitely go back."
"We made it back to The Oaks Bar and Grill after quite and absence. We forgot what we'd been missing. We stopped in for a couple of drinks and a snack.Much to Becky's delight they had an Ashland seltzer on tap. For me, their selection of beers was quite good. I ordered a Firestone 805. At $5.50 each, we thought the pints were very reasonably priced. We ordered the potato skins and they were really good. They prepare regular sized skins and load them up with cheese, bacon and chives, then cut each lengthwise. It makes for much easier eating and Becky appreciated the smaller portion size. Served with sour cream, ranch and salsa, they hit the spot.Seph was our bartender and he provided great service for us. Attentive and friendly. Cool dude. The bar is a large horseshoe shape with plenty of seating. There are a few booths and tall tables too. There are plenty of TVs throughout the room to catch your favorite sporting event. Expect to see golf on at least a couple of them. LOL. The patio just outside the doors is outstanding with sweeping views of the golf course.Whether you're a hungry/thirsty golfer coming in from a round for a round or you're just stopping in for a snack like we did, the Oaks Bar and Grill is a solid choice."
"Great place,Great service, Great Irish Coffees,& great for groups! What else could you want?"
"I'm a fan! I was tasked with finding a place for Happy Hour for work. I looked around on Yelp for a decent Happy Hour menu and ended up calling Green Acre Campus Pointe. They were able to accommodate a group of 14 of us with a reservation.According to their website, Green Acre Campus Pointe is managed by Dan Valerino and Joe Bower of Bottle Boon Consulting. The philosophy of Bottle Boon Consulting is to bring an adaptive model to restaurant management of constant innovation and creativity. At the time in mid-April 2022, Green Acre Campus Pointe was also open for Happy Hour on Thursdays and Fridays from 3PM to 6PM. Their normal hours are Monday through Friday from 8AM to 2PM.I got to try a whole bunch of items:- Cocktail (Grapefruit Commuter Car) - brandy, rum, cointreau, grapefruit, lemon, serrano simple syrup, and candied grapefruit - Patatas Bravas - fingerling potatoes, crispy garlic, calabrian chile aioli, garden herbs- Crispy Ham & Cheese Croquettes - cured ham, mozzarella cheese, tomato aioli- Nashville Chicken Nuggets - mixed pickles, kimchi aioli- House Fries - kennebec- Buffalo Chicken Pizza - hot sauce, mozzarella, bleu cheese, green onion, herb ranchMy faves? The Grapefruit Commuter Car Cocktail, Buffalo Chicken Pizza, and the House Fries! DEFINITELY MUST GET.Special thanks to our waiter who was really patient with the whole group of us. Definitely enjoyed my experience!Tip: Green Acre Campus Pointe is kind of hidden. If you follow Google Maps, it'll bring you to the parking lot. - (Option 1) If you go left, you should go to the back end of the parking lot to the handicapped parking. Once you go in past the doors, there is a security guard on your right. Just keep going straight to the back of the building to get to Green Acre.- (Option 2) If you go right, it'll bring you to the Green Acre Campus Pointe Garden. You'll have to walk past that to get to the restaurant."
"i have friends who frequently golf at Morgan Run. I personally have never golfed, but i do join them after for a drink and/or food and this is where we come. The view of the golf course is so tranquil! the food and drinks are pretty good and the prices are reasonable considering it's a country club. I hope my friends continue their memberships for years to come and hopefully one day I can also join!"
"In the old Spago days, you walked in and if you went to the left.... You were in the cool crowd. At Besta on Sundays, it's kinda the same. Meagan takes good care of us and BOOM here is my beautiful Manmosa ice cold right in front of me. Then the catch up with friends starts and ordering happens and the BOOM another half Manmosa shows up. Lots of laughs and great brunch.... Check paid and nap!!! It's a good Sunday for all! So.... go and turn left at the stairs and join the fun."
"I first heard about Sunnyboy Biscuit Company (SBC) when I watched a YouTuber reviewing some of his favorite restaurants in San Diego. My YouTube was on auto play and his video randomly played, so I don't remember his name or the channel name. This place is pretty much open daily for breakfast and lunch (7:00 am - 2:30 pm). I came to check this place out on a Sunday morning, around 9:30 am. It was pretty busy here. The line to order was already out the door when I arrived. The line moves pretty quickly, I probably only waited about 8-10 minutes to place my order. There are menus outside that you can peruse while waiting in line. I decided on the Chicken Bacon Avocado Biscuit Sandwich, for a beverage their "Orange Skweez" (Orange Juice), and a peach Cobbler (to-go for later in the afternoon). After a short wait, my name was called and I walked to the counter to pick up my sandwich. I immediately not that it was a pretty thick sandwich. I was trying to think of how I would tackle eating it and realized that they provided a fork and knife. My assumption is some people (like me), might have difficulty taking bites, hence the fork and knife. I ended up cutting it up and taking small bites. It was delicious... I don't know how they decided on arugula and garlic mayo, but it went well with the Rosemary Fried Chicken Breast, bacon, tomato, and avocado. The chicken was nice and crispy. They provided two thick slices of bacon. All of the ingredients along with the biscuit was perfect. It was a nice mix of flavors and textures, and was so tasty! They provided a small container of apple sauce as well. I don't know if it was meant to be eaten individually or spread on the sandwich, but I dipped the chicken into it and it seemed to work. The orange juice was good. It tasted natural and fresh. They have both indoor and outdoor dining. It is a bit cramped inside. They have a couple of tables and then diner style seating along the walls. I don't see how anyone could comfortably sit at the tables without someone getting bumped by others that might be moving around the dining area. It's a little more spacious outside, but on a hot day, I think it would suck sitting outside.Service was good. The woman that took my order was pleasant.Parking is limited in this area (I think this area is considered North Park). They have a few parking spaces, but they were all taken. I was able to find parking on the street.Overall, I enjoyed my experience here at SBC and look forward to returning and trying out other items.4 / 5: Food & Beverage 4 / 5: Cleanliness 4 / 5: Service 4 / 5: Overall"
"On a mellow Sunday we decided to head up the coast of San Diego to try out a different spot than we usually do and we ended up on the 101 in Cardiff at Tower 13. I had heard of my parents checking out this place but I had never been so we decided to check it out. It was a gorgeous day so we decided to sit outside and enjoy a couple drinks and some apps to share. We decided on the nachos which were super good and we got the larger size so we could share. We also got a cup of the chili that came with toast on the side, let me tell you those pieces of toast were so buttery and good I was obsessed! It wasn't too busy which I was surprised because it was such a nice day but we had a great time and I am sure we would stop by again if we are in the area."
"Landed in San Diego and was looking for fried chicken and came across this restaurant. Loved everything about this place. The beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces. The friendly bartender and waitress. The old fashioned drink was just what I needed along with the delicious salad and fried chicken and rosemary waffles. Sooo very good. I'm craving more and can wait to be back!"
"I came to Humphrey's for dinner. We wanted to go fancy tonight since it's New Year's Eve. We were greeted by the manager who was extremely nice. She told me if we had any questions or concerns to let her know. We didn't have reservations but we got seated right away. We got seated at a table. The lighting was dim and cozy. The waiter gave us complimentary bread. I ordered an iced tea to drink. For my main course, I got the lobster ravioli. It was creamy sauce surrounding ravioli filled with cheese. Lobster tails topped the ravioli. It was delicious and filling for me since I ate the bread. Everything was delicious. Service was great by our friendly waiter. He made sure we were taken care of. He even brought me some sugar for my tea. Very thoughtful but the tea was perfect alone. I still added some Splenda. I definitely enjoyed my dining experience here. There's street parking because inside is only parking for the people staying at the hotel. I was lucky to find a spot."
"I've heard of this place for a minute. Finally tried it for breakfast when I was in the area getting my taxes done on a Saturday. I was impressed with the service. Food quality was great. Did the Salmon Benedict. They did not do the eggs runny but boiled. I didn't mind and it still tasted great. Their cold brew was also high quality. Better than a Starbucks cold brew. They have a full bar set up as well. I'd come back."
