"Quick service, good hospitality, and delicious food! Seating is entirely outside which is nice and comfy. Booths are mostly clean and perfect for a bite to eat with a friend or two. Parking is not huge but enough. Hot sauces are super tasty. Mini tacos are my favorite, and carne asada and adobada are my protein choices. Grilled chicken and shredded chicken are decent. Carnitas tacos are great too. Guacamole is great. Fresh finely diced onions and cilantro are the perfect garnish."
"Great Food! I haven't been in ages. While I was in Santee I stopped for lunch. I ordered Combo #1 Cheese Enchilada and a Beef Taco. Combos come with generous portions of beans and rice. Their salsa bar is exceptional. Lots of extras at no charge - carrots, onions/cilantro & radishes. Several different salsas to choose from. Very clean and comfortable."

Visit Restaurant Page"Juanbertos Mexican food is located in Miramar, San Diego, in a shopping center serving up tasty big burritos with a smile!I came here early in the morning, spotting a huge yellow sign in a shopping center reading "Mexican Food," and I knew I had to come and check it out for a quick, fast, fulfilling bite. I entered right after 9 am. and was greeted warmly by the worker. I went ahead and ordered my typical Carne asada burrito because they are always fulfilling to my tummy and don't break the bank, and I can usually smash it within 5 minutes. They have all your typical Mexican food and dishes such as tortas, breakfast burritos, and enchiladas plates as well.Within 5 minutes, my order was ready and was presented in front of me with the 4 booths they have inside to eat at. The burrito was perfect wrapped with foil and wax paper and was looking fat! I asked for salsa, and the worker gave me a huge bottle of red salsa to squirt on the burrito along with a knife to cut it in half. The burrito was dressed beautifully with onions, tomatoes, cilantro, and a smooth but settled flavorful guacamole that complemented the Carne asada with a nice cool effect The Carne asada was a nice beautiful cut of marinated flank steak with perfectly char grilled marks on it. This burrito had some bite, and you could definitely enjoy the pure essence of the Carne because unlike other places, the burrito wasn't as wet and greasy, but yet it was very flavorful and had a nice chew.Overall, it was a great burrito spot to go to for some quick, fast Mexican food. The service was great, and the establishment was very clean. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area to try something new and different. Thank you, Juanbertos, for the excellent food service!"
"I still have dreams about the Trujillo's burrito. The size of a baby, filled with super flavorful carne asada, the perfect ratios of other fillings, and no bland rice to take up space and dilute the flavor of the stuff that really matters. I made it a point to try all the carne asada I could from different places in San Diego, and Trujillo's easily stands out as the best. You know the food is gonna be good when the bathrooms are way in the back of the restaurant in an area that isn't even lit and look like something out of a horror movie. The workers are super nice, especially if you take a minute to chat with them. They get a lot of international students being close to SDSU, and they've taken the time to learn greetings and basic conversation in Arabic - talk about going above and beyond!Get the red (spicy) salsa. Completely outperforms the others!"
"Pretty good taco shop with a drive thru! Food is made fresh so there's a bit of a wait. People here are friendly. There is some covered seating area outdoors. I got their carne asada fries and it was a large portion. The fries were crispy. I liked that this place still includes pico on their carne asada fries because a lot of places don't anymore. The meat was perfect. They have a list of salsas to choose from and they were all great. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area."
"My friends and I met for lunch at Marieta's because it is near my friend's office, and she only had a little time for lunch. When I first arrived, I was confused, as the parking lot to the west, isn't really a parking lot and I couldn't figure out where to park. Later, I realized that the main parking lot is just to the east.I noticed that they do not appear to have any outdoor seating, however the restaurant is a good size with a main dining room and a bar area. It was moderately crowded during lunch. We sat in a booth in the bar area. The restaurant was cute on the inside. It had the vibe of a typical Americanized Mexican restaurant, and appears to have been around for a long time. Service was prompt and professional. I chose the house margarita which was pretty good. We were given the bottomless chips and salsa. The salsa wasn't my favorite. It wasn't bad, but I prefer something a bit thicker with pieces of tomatoes and other veggies, whereas this had a watery consistency. My friends both ordered different enchilada platters from the lunch specials. They were a large and plentiful, and they had food left over.I, on the other hand, was craving a fresh salad. I chose the shrimp salad and was very disappointed. It was small in size and came in one of those tortilla bowls. It was basically only a lettuce mixture with the shrimp on the top. The did give me a generous portion of shrimp, but each was very small. It did not fulfill my craving for a big fresh salad at all. It really felt like there was no effort at all put into it.I might go there again if it is convenient to meet friends, but I would definitely not recommend the salad. It is probably best to stick to the margaritas and the daily specials."
"With any food located in a mall, there comes a certain expectation (which is not to have an expectation for greatness) you are probably starving from shopping all day or craving the brand name food places that draw your attention. I, like others, swore off mall food (aside from weltzels pretzels) but needed a quick bite and was pleasantly surprised. The line of tickets was long (mind you they fulfil not only in-person food orders but online orders as well.)We had about 6-7 people in front of our order when I actually looked at my ticket for our order number, there was one poor guys slaving away in the kitchen and dishing out the orders as fast as he could. It was a bit of a wait but not too bad. I ordered the flautas full expecting 3 small ones for the price and was pleasantly surprised that my flautas were cut in half and bite pretty big! The carne asada burrito was customized with just meat, guac and cheese (which was extra)... there was each ingredient in every bite. The cook gets a 10-star for the amount of output without wavering taste and quality. The front cashier was attentive and quick and taking orders and getting orders out as soon as they were ready. In fact, my first bite to the last was steaming hot! Did I mention my flautas tasted fresh and made from scratch?! Based on this experience, I would order from them again. I watched as the line was constantly busy and each customers order was taken and delivered according."
"Karina's Mexican Seafood in Otay Ranch Town Center, is a restaurant serving seafood specialties, steaks, tacos, ceviches and more along with handcrafted cocktails, margaritas and beers with a 3-6pm happy hour everyday at the bar.AMBIANCE5/5 Contemporary and spacious indoor and outdoor dining, private event spaces, full bar and cocktail lounge, and lively music.SERVICE4/5 A bit slow at first for staff to come to attention as I sat at the bar. Service really picked up once staff took my order and I appreciated their recommendations. DRINK5/5 Tamarind Martini:a sweet and tangy twist on the classic martini, with a tamarind candy paste rimFOOD5/5 Ribeye Steak Taquitos:I thought these would be deep-fried rolled tacos. These were smaller-size, soft flour tacos with tender, sliced ribeye steak, guacamole, onion, and cilantro.3/5 Seared Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna:The chili soy sauce was very enjoyable however the sesame crusted Ahi Tuna was not seared, and the spinach bed partially slimed.P.S. I'd try the grilled prawns here/at their other locations next time if I'm not in a rush."
"This is definitely a hole in the wall joint. My brother discovered this place and it is a great breakfast spot. Place looked pretty small and empty and there was only one person serving and taking orders. Took forever to have our order taken and brought out, but it was worth the wait. I appreciate a hard worker. Place deserves its 5 stars. Look at my pictures for evidence. Much rather come here than Denny's tbh."
"Hubby, daughter and I met up with my old boss for lunch at around 1 pm. There's a few tables inside and this place is pretty good. It's my first time trying out their food. I wanted tacos so I got carne asada tacos. It was two for $5.99. The meat was delicious and soft. I also got a canned diet coke to drink. The two tacos were small but filling. I topped my tacos with a lot of green sauce. The sauce was delicious as well. I was impressed. Hubby had the mixta fries which had a mix of meat and pork on top of french fries. It looked delicious and hubby really liked it. I want to thank my old boss for treating us for lunch. I wasn't expecting that. Highly recommend this place. Plenty of parking around the restaurant. I may have to try the mixta fries next time I am here."
"Such a good place for a california burrito. It also has good pricing and comes with sauce on the side. I can't believe something so simple can taste this good. No seating or bathroom available at location. So i took it to the beach!"
"The ladies who run and own this food truck are great and make some pretty good grub as well. After work, I stopped by to check them out and ordered a couple of fish tacos a la plancha or griddles over a hot flat service. The were pricey at $5 a piece out of the norm that I usually pay at the rest of the food trucks at $3.50. There price is no reflected on the menu. The fried fish tacos are well priced at $1.70 each. The tacos came with a good amount of well seasoned and griddle fish. The fish was piping hot and succulent and each taco came with two individual portions. I like the golden brown sear they applied to the fish. Both tacos came handsomely filled with shredded cabbage, tomatoes, chopped onions, and a touch of cilantro. I asked for no mayo but definitely put some of their tasty creamy chipotle sauce that's available in one of those large plastic squeeze bottles. They double wrap each taco with warm corn tortillas which I truly appreciated. Speaking of warm, the hospitality at this food truck is quite warm as well and the ladies have a good sense of humor as well."

friend and I were going to see a show next door and when we arrived we realized that we hadn't eaten dinner. So we came into Juanberto's. We shared a carne asada quesadilla. She said she normally does not like carne asada, but she gave it a shot. Guess what? my friend loved it! woooo hooo. Employee was wearing a mask and the place seemed clean. She was able to answer my friends questions. There was only indoor seating and not much of it. The place was quite small. I do wish they had a table or 2 outdoors but I imagine it's something that the property manager doesn't permit. They provided us with squeeze bottles of both red and green salsa and both were delicious. the red was nice and spicy! The quesadilla was more than enough for us to share...we were stuffed.glad we ate here!

This place is actually pretty good and open late! I've been trying to venture out of my comfort zone by going to different taco shops. Not going to lie I was a bit skeptical on it being any good since it's near SDSU and I figured it'd be Americanized down or like not that great because they're feeding hungry students anyway. Boy was I wrong!Maybe I was just hungry but it was delicious and surpassed my expectations! My husband got the wolfpack burrito which I didn't try but he said was good. I ordered a carne asada quesadilla for my son which came with guacamole inside. I got the carne asada fries. I thought they were pretty good, not salty or bland. The hot sauce is fire!!! Meaning tasted great and also had that heat that most hot sauces don't.The only thing I didn't like was the pushy cashier who kept asking what we wanted to order when I kept saying we're not ready yet. You would assume I'd walk up to the counter if I were ready right? They have such an extensive menu of different burrito combos so it was hard to decide because it all sounded so good and there were different variations of stuff inside. There was another lady who barely spoke English but she was helping and being trained by the cashier but she was nice. I will definitely be back to try the burritos!

This is my family's go to for our tacos, burritos, and carne asada fries for YEARS. They seem to have upgraded the patio since I last came to order. Their lights definitely makes the patio more inviting to eat outside. They are generous with their portions. They have a list of sauces to choose from and they're all great! Love the red sauce. The fries have a crispy batter to them which I like. They make your food fresh so there is a wait time after you order, but super worth it. Also it's open late which is a plus for those late night cravings. I've gone here so many times so this review is past overdue, but definitely check them out.

I've been at the restaurant a few times. My daughter and her family, this is their go to spot for Mexican food. That night-we were there it was pretty busy. I think our server was a little overwhelmed. I know we'll be back.

Nice place to grab a bite of good San Diego Mexican Food while at the mall. They have great carne asada and guacamole. The cheeses are also yummy. We ordered: carne asada fries and 1 taco. Food was good just was a busy Saturday night so the wait was a bit longer than normal. The line here speaks for itself, great food.

Ambiance: 10/10Service: 5/10Food: 6/10There's nothing special about this restaurant besides the look. It's beautiful! But that's as far as it goes. It was my first time here, and I probably won't be back. Our waitress didn't seem like she loved her job at all. Maybe the girl was having a bad day/shift. The food was expensive and not the best. Lacked flavor and authenticity.
Visit Restaurant Page"Haven't been here for a while. It's still one of our favorite restaurants and just as good as the first time I ate here! Definitely into supporting our local mom&pop restaurants! So glad they offer pickup as well as through other online ordering apps! They are always accommodating for my picky teenager. Food is always delicious, and presentation is always appealing."
"Stumble upon this place by accident and I'm so glad I did. A very tiny mom/pop shop, super quick service, nice workers, fresh salsa bar and fairly clean. Dated but definitely clean which I appreciate so very much.i ordered a carne asada fries to share with a friend and it was more than enough for two people. Very generous portion, I'd love to come back and try for different items on the menu."
"Stopped buying for some carne asada chips. If you haven't been here before and use Google maps to get here, it brings you on the other side of the plaza. Carne asada chips - the meat was really flavorful and the chips weren't stale. I ordered the half size and I was really disappointed in the portion of meat that was served. Under all the guac and cheese it look like a decent amount but when you start eating at it, I realized there was not a lot of meat at all.The green salsa was on the watery side but still had decent flavor. Nonetheless, we probably would be back, because of the flavor of the food. However, I wish they would give a good portion for how much you pay for."
"I had a couple of grilled fish tacos from this place a la carte because they don't offer a combo. You can add a side of rice and beans for $4 but that just did not seam fair to me, but that's just me. The tacos were $2.25 each which was a good price for grilled tacos. The tacos were good and I enjoyed the flavor of the tacos and I appreciated the light gold brown crust they put on the filet of each taco. Seasoning was light but enough to support the fish and the taco as a whole. Both tacos came with a good amount of shredded greens and and some tossed chopped tomatoes. The white white sauce that they topped the tacos with was creamy and mild in flavor but good. The area were they made a slight mistake or kinda put a damper on the tacos was the manner they warmed the corn tortilla. I loved the way they lightly fried it on the griddle and gave it that translucent appeal, but unfortunately the tortillas were unevenly cooked. Some portions had that nice color and warmth of the light frying an other had that color and texture of a cold corn tortilla, so consistency here when preparing the tortilla would be appreciated. They were good quality corn tortillas however. They offer a basket of chips and house made salsa when you dine in. The chips were good and the salsa was tasty and packed some good heat. The lady who served me was nice and had a good funny personality."
"I should have paid closer attention to some of the reviews and tips for this University Heights taco joint. Long gone were the days of $0.99 fried fish tacos and other seafood tacos for less than $4. The prices have significantly increased due to inflation and labor wages. The parking situation remained atrocious in this neighborhood. I had to circle around the side streets multiple times on a weeknight before I was able to snag a curbside space. When I arrived, the shop was about half full of customers and there was no wait to place an order. Dine-in seating was sufficient to hold a couple of dozen customers. There was large chalkboard menu on the wall to the left of the service counter. Some smaller menus were also placed at the counter. I proceeded to order one fish taco, one scallop taco, and one wasabi taco. The last was a fried shrimp taco with a wasabi aioli/sauce added on top of the lettuce and tomato. It was the best of the trio as I felt the first two were very ordinary, especially for the scallop. If you live nearby, then El Zarapre is probably a decent stop for a quick Mexican fix. Otherwise, I think there are much better eateries around town without the hassle of searching for limited parking. My dining experience at this taqueria garnered three stars."
"First time trying this place. Ordered carne asada burrito with beans and sour cream. I have to say it is nearly perfect. The main issue is the amount of liquid that leaks out during consumption. Otherwise the burrito is excellent. One of the best I've had since moving back to San Diego. Will definitely return for rolled tacos and the 2 in 1 burrito."
"This restaurant is beautiful! We had a large group here and shared everything. I got a yummy mocktail with a taijin rim. A complimentary broth was brought out for us, which was a nice start. We shared the white fish tiradito, ceviche, Simon's shrimp, fresh oysters, salmon habanero-lime style, octopus, rockefeller oysters, rock spicy shrimp, petroleros shrimp, and a couple of other dishes. A few of the dishes had too much sauce or mayo to my liking, masking the flavor of the fish. The seafood was fresh and flavorful! We didn't initially order much, but were still hungry, so we ended up trying almost everything on the menu! I'm not sure if they added more items since my visit in May.For dessert, we got the flan and blintzers! Both desserts were great and not too sweet. Service was very attentive. I had a great time and would love to come back and try other menu items!"
"this review is for uber eats experience of colimas. For it being open 24/7, the california burrito is delicious, the salsa is great, and the portions are huge. great value taco shop, and my go-to for late night eats. Also recommend the carne asada burrito but do not recommend the machaca plate or rolled tacos..."
"While in Imperial Beach for another event recently, I made a stop at Santo Placer for a meal before heading back north. I don't know what the previous establishment was, but the standalone building had a large on-site parking lot which is always beneficial. The inside decor was beautiful, highlighted by a faux tree with white flowers in the middle of the dining room. The ambiance was pretty fancy for Mexican cuisine.Brunch was being served during my weekend visit so only half of the menu was available. A Culichi Omelet was what I chose for an entree. The filling was shrimp and mozzarella cheese topped with culichi sauce made up of roasted poblano peppers, jalapeno, and garlic. A green salad and a scoop of Mexican rice came as sides to the dish. The shrimp were concentrated on one side of the omelet with four pieces total. The creamy sauce was the star of the show. Tortillas were also provided but for unknown reasons, the corn variety was complimentary while there was a surcharge if I wanted flour-based wraps. The biggest issue I encountered was the preparation time. The kitchen took at least 20 minutes before the item was brought to my table even though the place was less than half full. The prices were on the high side, however that reflected the more upscale nature of the restaurant. My waitress was very polite and helpful in answering the questions I had about the menu offerings. I gave a 3.5 star rating for my dining experience at Santo Placer."
"Ok so the food is very good ! I thinkThe reviews are from the customer service! The lady I had was nice and the other gentleman, but the other lady was very rude to me like she did not want to work at all. However, the food was very delicious. I ordered the children tostada, and mini tj tacos which came with three. I also ordered guacamole, but the guac was very bland! The tacos and tostada was very BOMB!! I was satisfied for sure and enough food! The ambience was cool nothing quite special to me, but it was very spacious and a lot of seating for a large group. I to recommend here! It's reasonable and the food is tasty and yummy! -Marshay D."
"A taco shop next to a La Mesa Albertsons.I finally tried Senor Burros and I liked it. I got the carne asada fries and they are a hit. The price is fair, the portion was generous and the food came out as quickly as you would expect. This location is cleaner than your average taco shop of its kind.If you are in this area, bring some friends and eat at Senor Burros, take a seat and eat under the watchful eye of their mascot donkey, I mean burro"
"San Diego, I've missed you so much! I know Santee is further from where I'd normally get tacos, burritos, and carne asada fries, but that's where I was staying for this particular vacation. My friend and I came here for dinner and witnessed the obscene amount of food they give. I got the Surf and Turf Fries, which were pretty good. Definitely filling. Didn't love the sauce on top, but I did enjoy the horchata I got on the side. The horchata was mostly ice, but oh well. Decent amount of seating inside the restaurant, as well as parking. Not bad overall!"
"How have I not reviewed this place? This is our staple whenever we visit SD now. When I lived in the area, I'd come here at least once a week and eat 2 california burritos in one sitting. This was a weekly diet for me as a college student. Especially since they're open 24 hours and you could hit it up after the clubs. I'm far from those late night college days, but they continue to offer my favorite SD burrito flavors and I think it begins with their salsa. Somewhat creamy with the perfect amount of kick. Drench every bite in it and everything just comes together. California Burrito (5): Call me biased but this place put california burritos on the map for me. Back around 2001 is when we discovered this place, and this is what we got. Rolled Tacos (4): My wife loves these. They do a good job. Always crispy and loaded with guac and cheese. Again, throw that salsa on there and its pretty good. Krispy Chicken Burrito (4): This one is pretty new to me but my son wanted it so we decided to try it. It was pretty good too. You guessed it, it has krispy chicken inside. Fish burrito (5): not my first choice, and honestly I wouldn't have even tried it but my wife ordered it. I must admit, it was really good. Moist and flavorful fish. And I think they just do burrito's well here. Again, throw their salsa on there and its another winner. To this day, I still call this place Coti's. It does bring back a lot of college memories. It did go a little downhill for a few years and we started venturing out to other taco shops. Our most recent visit though was on point so they're back on the map in my book as one of my go-to burrito spots in SD."
"Amazing California burrito and hot sauces, first time here and I'll be back to try more things so I hope they are all good. The hot sauces were all good, my favorite one was the roasted red sauce then the green sauce then the og red, none were spicy and they were packed with flavor. The California burrito was very good, pricy but not too small, the tortilla was cooked perfectly (some places burn them or make them crispy). I got no cheese no sour cream and I added guacamole. I think my only complaint was the fries were a little over cooked. The carne asada was cooked perfectly and seasoned well."
"I think the best things here are the beans, rice, and flour tortillas. So whatever you do, get those things (there's a tamale, rice and bean plate which nicely fits the bill). The fried stuff, like the rolled tacos and normal tacos are good but aren't the same kind of standouts. The line was long but it moved quick. I think the hours are not quite correct on yelp and I ended up sitting on the steps of the nearby church to eat. Having a table would have been a lot nicer. Oh and you can get a pack of toritillas to take home. I suspect the high amount of lard in them is what makes them so tasty."
"This place is very clean and the service is excellent. The food is really good. I would try the burritos. Fresh seafood and also frozen seafood is available for sale along with other products. What I like about this place is that it's obvious that they know what they're doing."
"This review is long overdue! WE LOVE Rosaritos! Everything we get there is delicious. Some of our favorites are the Cubano, Shrimp Tacos, Supreme Nachos, and the California Burrito. Of course you need to get their hot sauces and don't forget the Horchata!! We appreciate the great service and consistent quality. Highly recommend and will return at least 4 times in the next 2 weeks"
"Drove by this place during lunch and saw the full parking lot so that was good enough for me.When I walked in the restaurant to place an order I could see the kitchen in the back where they were slicing and cutting fresh veggies for salsa. The cashier was really cool and explained in detail about some of the foods I saw on the menu that are new to me.Ordered the chile relleno combo with cheese enchilada and a carne asada taco with Americanized guacamole (didn't know this was a thing) LOL.The salsa bar was excellent and so fresh, hardly see these anymore due to COVID.For sure will be back!"
"Large portions, delicious Mexican food and friendly and fun service! We came to Mario's for a work event and got to enjoy the entire outside patio area. I'm not sure why I don't come to La Mesa more often. They've got a surprising number of great spots. While this one fairs more casual, the food doesn't disappoint. I enjoyed the salad which was on a crispy fried tortilla and loaded with pollo asado. I also got a side of a mole enchilada. The mole was delicious! Everything tasted home cooked and comforting! Top it off with a beer on a sunny day and you're golden. Can't speak highly enough about the friendly service. Our waiter was a hoot and so nice!"
"My new favorite spot to get Pescado Tacos. Only $1.50/ea and the fish melts in your mouth. Highly recommend*Location is literally across the street from Filippi's Pizza Grotto in the Auto Repair parking lot*"
"Came here for lunch after trying to go to 2 other places. It had been so long since I had been to this location that the taco shop that was here previously was closed. After pursing the menu I picked the TJ burrito ($8.95) which is carne asada, rice, guacamole and tater tots. I have to admit the tater tots added a nice crunch to the burrito. The carne asada was meh. Not too flavorful and chewy but the other items in the burrito masked it enough to be able to get it down. Salsa was decent although small containers and only 2 given.Overall not a bad spot if you are nearby. Prices are decent and it was not crowded."
"I came here 4 months ago and tried their fish, shrimp diabla, and adobada tacos. The shrimp diabla was huge and so loaded! It was spicy and full of flavor. I also got a tamarind and strawberry agua fresca, which are made daily. The strawberry one was so creamy and refreshing. Before I left, I decided to get their pollo asada fries and these were so addicting. I loved it! It was so delicious! Service was so friendly and the staff was helpful with their recommendations."
"Broooooo, you guys exceed my expectations every single time! I just stopped by tonight after work craving ceviche and I stopped at Oscar's and literally they made it FRESH, w/ FRESH HOT CHIPS! it hit every single craving I had tonight, thank you guys so much for all you do. BEST Mexican food between Poway and PQ. hands down"
