"Writing this review after multiple visits and each time have had a pleasant experience. This is an excellent spot for a rooftop bar with all the views, from the water to Petco Park and is also a great pre-game stop before a game. I also appreciate the fire pit and fireplaces because it can get cold up there. Service has been decent and noticed there were a lot of waitresses working this particular day. Food & Drink: It is on the pricier side especially since you're in downtown but they do have happy hour 7 days a week (M-F 4-6pm and Sat-Sun 3-6pm) which is nice. All drinks I've had here were good as well as the food and is in-line with most other downtown establishments. Lastly, this is a great place to take visitors."
"Friendly staff and a plethora of well drinks, combined with the views from atop the Hyatt, makes this place extrememly memorable and unique. From each window you can see San Diego from and what the City has to offer.Plenty of seating and phot ops with quotes on most windows that will have you smiling as you read them. Well worth a visit and a walk around the bar to take all Top of the Hyatt has to offer.Thank you, Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego!"
""I'M WITH THE BARTENDER..."(5 stars)The Hillcrest place you go to pregame before stepping out to the scenes. - FOOD: good bar food- PRICE: fair- SERVICE: spectacular - VIBE: fun and lively We stopped in during prime time (around 8p) and it was busy! Lots of hot gay boys filled the bar - predominantly male scene. I'm not gay but them boys would make me wish I was a gay boy. Everyone seems like a regular here and everyone was so darn friendly and welcoming. I felt the positive fun vibes here and foresee myself coming through more often. A friend is a bartender here and I see why she loves her work. Decided to do a surprise visit - it's my first time in the scene outside of pride. :: FOOD :: TRADITIONAL BUFFALO WINGS ($14) - Served with pickled celery and house made buttermilk ranch. Got the sauce on the side. I love me some chicken wings! They were average but delicious. HIGHLY RECOMMEND TAVERN SLIDERS ($15) - 3 Angus patties with cheddar cheese, house-made pickles, ketchup, and garlic aioli served on Hawaiian rolls. Plumpy little bite size burgers served with a thick patty. The fries it came with were seasoned well and crispy. RECOMMEND CHICKEN STRIPS BASKET ($17.50) - Crispy, hand-battered chicken strips and fries, served with house made ketchup and buttermilk ranch. Our friend recommended this, although a lot of food was already ordered and yet to be consumed this was ordered on top of that because it's the "popular" item many people order. It came with 3 gigantic very breaded pieces of chicken. While popular amongst everyone else who orders this it was just ok for me. Very giving potions doesn't always make up what lacks and I felt that something in this dish lacked and didn't wow me. I think I prefer naked chicken wings. BERRY DRINK - I asked for "something fruity, cocktaily... with gin" and was served a big drink that tasted refreshing and fruity!!! I will leave the mixology up to the pros, I trust their judgements. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Will def be back.JABA APPROVED. Until the next time..."
"I checked this place out on aSunday afternoon and there was no wait. We sat outside and weather was nice. You start with chips and 4 different salsas. I enjoyed two of them. We got elote, chicken flautas, a birria quesadilla, and the crispy rice. I kid you not everything was sooooo delicious 10/10. The quesadilla was huge. Margs were also very good. Check this place out."
"One of the only places left not charging a cover.... And that's why it's PACKED 24/7! Park & Rec is a good time with some good drinks and great music. There's indoor bar, there's outdoor bar, there's a little secluded area where a full on rave is going on and sometimes if you're lucky, they're making and selling taco's outside! I love this place, but if you're claustrophobic, stay far away. It is crowded. I feel like I lose half my drink from everyone just bumping into each other. The drinks themselves are good, but pricey. You're definitely not paying dive bar prices here. I haven't tried happy hour yet, but I'm sure it's even more packed than usual. Service is always good and they're playing some of the best music here."
"Abnormal Heights is a new bar and lounge on the rooftop of a multipurpose building in the Normal Heights neighborhood. The hostess stand to check in was located around the corner on the sidewalk of Bancroft St. You can then take the stairs or an elevator to the fourth level where the bar is located. The setup can hold almost 100 customers so it's not a tiny space. The view overlooking Adams Ave to the south was terrific as you can see airplanes descending in the distance on their approach to the San Diego airport. The place is currently open from Friday to Sunday starting at 4 pm. Online reservations can be made using the Toast system. QR codes to access the menu were affixed to the tables and countertops. The offerings consisted of three appetizers, six entrees, six cocktails, three mocktails, beer, and wine. I sat at a countertop space on the south edge with Adams Ave below. The following were my selections...* Chicken Delight Skewers - grilled chicken and bell pepper and onion medley skewers with a side of herb aioli* Achiote Ember Pork - citrus marinated pork chop with achiote and chipotle accompanied by polenta, grilled carrots, and baby tomatoes* Dawn Dew (Misty Bloom) - blend of botanicals featuring floral non-alcoholic gin with lemon, lavender, and tonic fizzThere were three skewers in an order. The chicken cubes were portioned a little smaller than I have experienced elsewhere. The meat and vegetables were charred nicely by the kitchen. The bone-in pork chop rested on a bed of polenta. The pork was overcooked a tad as can happen easily with white meat on a grill. The mocktail was plain looking and didn't have any garnishments added. While improvements can be made on the execution of the dishes, the rooftop venue itself was very chill for a neighborhood hangout. There was nothing abnormal about it at all. Kudos to the manager (Josh) for taking extra steps to ensure proper customer service during my visit."
"Dinner was delicous. Cocktails were strong and a decent price. My rolled chicken tacos $14 were flavorful and big. It came with a side of tortilla soup. For dessert, we had a pizookie type of dessert that was delicious. Service was fast and friendly. Will definitely be back."
"We tried this restaurant called "TIDAL". It wasn't our first time in this area of Paradise Point where Tidal is located, but it's our first time dining here at Tidal. We chose to be seated outdoors and they let us pick where to sit. The inside was beautiful too, but I like the view of their outdoor area more.I almost didn't want to order yet, just wanted to sit, relax, and enjoy the view and the nice breeze for a while :) But when our server came and handed us the Menu, that changed everything, I wanted their food already. There were so many good selections, so it was easy for us to pick our food. We ordered:*PARADISE MAI THAI *DUROC PORK CHOP *HAMACHI CRUDO *PACIFICO SEA-BASS *PAN-SEARED ICEFJORD SALMON *GERMAN CHOCOLATE CHEESECAKE My son's favorite was the PORK CHOP. He was excited to see how their pork chop here, and this place didn't disappoint him, my son likes it! The pork Chop was so thick, so Tender, and so flavorful, and it was not dry at all, it was cooked nicely! Our HAMACHI CRUDO was so fresh and delicious, that I will probably order 3 plates of those next time.My husband's PACIFICO SEABASS was good too, it was nicely cooked. I love wild mushroom risotto that came with it, I can really taste a lot of mushroom in their rice. For my SALMON, it was very tasty, I didn't need to add any salt or anything. My Drink was beautiful and so Fruity, I love it! Also, the German chocolate had a very rich chocolate and yet not overly sweet. We had such a Lovely Family time here, we are very satisfied with the View, the Food, and the Service. We can see ourselves here being regular from now on. Their Menu changes from time to time, so always check their menu before planning a visit. For Parking, there's a lot of it here. The Tidal restaurant is located at Paradise Point, so after eating here I recommend you take a walk around and find the beautiful Pond in their area, you will enjoy more of your visit here."
"I went on a Friday and there was a belly dancer but the place is semi empty. They need to do more advertising for the place. The belly dancer was talented and did great. The dj was okay. There were long pauses between the music when it should have been mixed. Food is 7/10. I only did not like the smell of the shawarma. The food tasted good but was dry overall and lacked a sauce on the side to add to the plate."
"It was my birthday and all I really wanted to do was eat good food with good friends and then get ratchet, I can't help myself. I was in a desperate search to find a spot that played my jams all night long. I love San Diego but the hip hop scene is seriously LACKING out here and I looove rap music. Thankfully, yelp brought Phantom Lounge to my attention when I was on my serious hip hop birthday search. It was at the top of my list cause I kept seeing "littest hip hop set". Decision made. But hold up. First of all, yelp says this place opens at 8pm and some reviews mentioned you gotta get there early or it's hard to get in. Admittedly, I don't go out that often, so we showed up bright and early at 10pm and NOBODY was there. Like it was just us and maybe 2 other small groups. For at least 2 hours. I didn't mind because the music was bumping as promised and I couldn't stop singing/dancing/rapping! DJ was playing alllll my favorite songs and I was having the best time! But just so you know, the place is dead til like midnight. Whatever, I'm an only child, I can keep myself entertained! What I liked is that there are couches and stuff so there's a place to sit if your heels start to hurt your feet (not like I was sitting but I'm just saying). The only con to this is it makes it a little harder to mingle with other people cause everyone's kind of in their own section, but whatever. It's nice to have space to dance, I really wasn't looking to go to a club, I just wanted to get into some gangsta sheeit and Phantom delivered. It was a great time, I'm talking all the best new hip hop, straight up Rap Caviar/Hip Hop Nation type set (insert 3 flames emojis here) with some old school mixed up in there for the OGs. 2 of my friends and I shut the place down, legit "what happened to the music?" 2am type thing. So props to the DJ!!I almost died laughing when someone slid into my DMs a few days later asking, "Did I see you at Phantom Lounge this weekend?" What?! LMAO yes that was me.The staff were all cool and having a good time with us, so thanks, Phantom Lounge for a bomb birthday night!! I wanna come back!"
"i have friends who frequently golf at Morgan Run. I personally have never golfed, but i do join them after for a drink and/or food and this is where we come. The view of the golf course is so tranquil! the food and drinks are pretty good and the prices are reasonable considering it's a country club. I hope my friends continue their memberships for years to come and hopefully one day I can also join!"
"Just arrived... so far.. chill vibe, nice friendly staff... good music, restrooms.. currently vibing waiting on our drinks"

The Nolen was such a fun experience! We were here from out if town and wanted to go to a rooftop bar and The Nolen did not disappoint! It was easy to make online reservations. You walk in from the street and take the elevator up to The Nolen. Staff were friendly and welcoming! Service was excellent! We didn't eat, but had several of the cocktails and all were excellent! It was a fun vibe with music, excellent weather and a great view!

Beautiful bar, with great service! We had a glass of wine, and a tequila... quick stop in after hanging out in Seaport and the Headquarters at Seaport. I could have stayed for days with that view. So very peaceful and relaxing. The house chardonnay was delicious!

I think I hopped here with a friend after we visited Gossip Grill and I initially sat at the bar to order my usual vodka soda. If I recall correctly, we decided to sip our last drinks of the night here while pondering where we could score some late night food since the kitchen was closed. It was a slow weeknight and I remember the drinks being super stiff. You can't really compete with the overload of fun coming from Gossip Grill next door but if you're a straight girl down to relive your high school memories of being friendzoned by super hot gay guys all night, it's totally worth stopping by if you're passing through for a drink or two.

I percent recommend this place. I went for happy hour and the whole staff was super friendly and welcoming. Taylor served me the most delicious shots. I ordered 3 tacos and they were full of flavor. They were not stingy with their salsas or limes which I appreciated. My favorite taco was the fish one. The crispy cheese was fire. I recommend the Mexican candy shot and the a la verde shot. Can't wait to return.

Fun place to meet with friends for drinks and hang out. Friendly staff all around. Spacious, beautiful decor and theme. They have happy hour, Monday game nights, Dj & live music, movies in the park and trivia night. Such a great idea to bring the community together.

What an amazing experience it started with Paris' customer service! She is the best such a great employee!! Excellent rooftop view was nice. We enjoyed our Saturday Brunch was amazing!! Paris is the employee any establishment needs to have. Firehouse has great vibes we had French toast, breakfast burrito was perfect. Will come again and again every day is perfect at the firehouse. Great job with the living wall succulents, and just the view of the ocean from where you sit is the best in San Diego

We've been coming to Paradise Point a lot but we are always stopping by one of their bar & grill . This time we gave Tidal a try. The result was good and my Family was very happy about our Dinner here. From the Inside of the the restaurant to the Outdoor was stunning . The View from our Table was spectacular! Now for the food, we were very satisfied, with our cocktail, appetizers, main course, and dessert. I got the PACIFICO SEA BASS a decent-sized fish, and cooked nicely accompanied by a delicious Mushroom risotto. Next time I'm gonna order too what my son had, he had the Duroc pork chop and it was big and very tasty. Service was nice, food that we had was delicious and with a very stunning view !
Visit Restaurant Page"What an incredibly intimate space. It was my first time there but i can assure you it won't be the last. Several incredible deejays were performing that I did not want to miss. Drink prices were pretty fair, tasty, & a great selection. The atmosphere was retro with a taste of mid century modern, & everyone seemed to be pretty nice & professional."
"Excellent! I was looking for a breakfast place that wasn't a 2hr Wisth with a 200.00 bill. I was in court downtown and found this gem! Staff was so friendly. I wish I would have taken better pictures. We ordered a incredible abuelita Mexican hot chocolate with toasted cinnamon marshmallows and it was served with 2 of the most delicious buttery croissants with house made fresh jam! It was incredible! Could have been a meal! My picture shows them separate but they were served together on a beautiful traditional dish with cinnamon. I loved that they had Turkish coffee! It was rich sweet and strong! Our waiter then flipped our cups to show the grounds for our reading. It was super fun! Food was great and staff was amazing! I'll be back!"
"Omg where do I start ! This place is the only place in San Diego to have a cheese wheel bar . They offer six different pastas you can pick from . They have a area with all the cheeses u can watch them do it . They have an amazing happy hour definitely worth checking out . The inside is huge with lots of seating options. They have a bar area in front that connects to the street for people to stop by and grab a drink . They also have a nice patio . The staff were so friendly and attentive we met Gio he came to our table to make sure everything was okay . Our waiter was Jamie he was so nice also . The service was above and beyond they want to make sure you are satisfied . The food was so delicious we got the pizza and pasta from the pasta wheel. OMG so good ! I can't wait to go back to San Diego just to have this pasta again . I highly recommend checking this place out."
"I have only gone to this lounge once during Comic Con 2016 and my first impression was a positive one.The Lounge was clean, open with a wonderful view of the downtown "Comic Con" atmosphere. My party of three enjoyed refreshing cocktails prepared by a friendly, welcoming bartender. The Lounge was clean and classy, comfortable and convenient, with great customer service. I look forward to coming here on a not so busy weekend to enjoy more cocktails and food."
"the panoramic views from Tower39 Rooftop Lounge are just like the ones from my house only a couple of blocks closer to the waves.the FIG and RIB panini (grilled sourdough, braised short rib, goat cheese, fig jam, arugula, basil, and balsamic reduction) was quite delicious and the service on point.so, the view was spectacular, the sandwich was yummy, and service was attentive, but I'll never be back. why? a seemingly perplexing question with a very simple answer: they don't validate. really? $19 for a sandwich on upper deck of a hotel surrounded by a mostly residential neighborhood, and you want to gouge me $5 for a space in a mostly empty parking garage? whoever made that call can go jump in a lake or at least in the ocean. with a running start, they have a shot."
"Ginger's curious... double meaning lol! SIKE or maybe not, but either way I really enjoyed this spot last month. It totally reminded me of a speakeasy which I digged. This is a hidden gem beneath *Barley Mash* after taking the stairs down, it's a different world below. The cocktail menu has a fun selection with crafty cocktails. I love the decor and overall ambiance here. They play great music and it was pretty crowded the Saturday night I came by. The bartenders are all nice and they make stiff drinks which is a plus. 4 Stars for strong and yummy drinks in this lounge bar that has a nice atmosphere.~"
"Very friendly bartenders and a fun crowd. I was celebrating my friend's bachelor party and the bartenders made sure he had a good time and even bought him a shot. Would definitely return."
"After getting such an amazing sandwich that was literally two meals! I just had to write another review. I've been here a zillion times and this family; Wally, Paul and Anthony [sorry, I don't know the Mother's name] are all consistent in friendly customer service.I ordered a chicken breast and mortadella on sourdough with provolone. Mayo only, lettuce, tomato and onion. Here's a pro-tip: if you want to elevate your sandwich salt and pepper the tomato layer, trust me, your welcome.Wow, lettuce leaves!! Not the shredded garbage from a bag that spills everywhere that every other deli only offers. Not at Clem's! they use lettuce leaves!! What a fresh tasting difference. The sourdough bread is nice and sour. Honestly, it is like eating a salad and good quality meats all rolled into one. [maybe that's why the sandwich is such a popular and convenient food.Thank you again Clem's I'll be back ; ]"
"Cool place for food or just to hang around. Actually there are not many places to eat inside of Estancia, La Jolla. Two evenings in a row I had fish tacos and margaritas. Excellent food and friendly service."
"I had a good breakfast burrito from this eatery at Singing Hills Golf Course and Resort by Sycuan. Overall the burrito was okay, having some high notes and lows as well. The breakfast burrito comes with scrambled eggs, bacon, pepper Jack cheese, and hash browns. These all great ingredients. What I liked about this burrito were the scrambled eggs. They were well scrambled and seasoned. The bacon was good and they put a decent amount of it in the burrito.I like the idea of hash browns in the burrito, but the problem was that they mixed them in with the eggs and breakfast; as a result, they became to soft and mushy. Hash browns need to have texture, especially some crispiness, but these did not. I would consider preparing separately, to crisp them up, and then add to the burrito as separate ingredient. Another words, don't scramble them with eggs! The flour tortilla was good and overall the burrito was of a good size. It would be great if they would out the burrito on the griddle after it's rolled up to lightly brown up the tortilla too.Service was okay. It was friendly, but on the slower side. Whether it's intentional or not, I am not sure. Let's just say it took longer than usual for service. Not that I complain."
"Ordered:Regular Hookah (~$18 - HH price): mango mint flavorAya's take:In SD for the weekend and found myself here one day after craving hookah. Super chill, dope music selection, and great hookah. It's exactly what I wanted after a long weekend, the hookah lasted a few hours, and the flavor was mixed well. Definitely recommend if you're in the area!"
"Cute little restaurant with indoor outdoor seating. Wonderful menu with delicious options like truffle risotto and scallops, butternut squash soup and squash blossoms filled with ricotta all on our order! Sweet service and yummy lemon martini! Don't miss!"
"Strong cheap drinks. Very dark. Cash only but those always see to be the best dive bar. Bartenders are always super nice and pour strong."
"We are downstairs at the bar now having a drink after a late lunch at The Veranda . The Bar is located downstairs next to the restaurant and bathrooms . Service is nice and efficient . The bar is getting busier with locals and tourists . There's comfortable air conditioning which is great when it's 90 degrees outside .We ordered house cab for two and a cranberry vodka . Nice pours of wine (not sure price) . Cranberry vodka looks small but friend said it's tasty and well made .Free parking ! Would come back again ."
"Ordered:Chicken Wings (~$15): gochujang miso bbq, jalapenos, garlicBone Marrow (~$19): with fresno chili relish and toasted sourdoughLamb Chop Lollipops (~$28): dill yogurt, nut dukkah, arugula, pickled red onionsCast-Iron Cornbread (~$10): with togarashi hot honey butterAya's take:Interesting atmosphere with a very unique aesthetic. From the taxidermy to the mirrors to the plates with all the US presidents on it - it's definitely different from other restaurants in SD. The food honestly did not stand out to me much. I am a sucker for Chicken Wings but these were way too overpowering with a vinegary/spicy flavor. The Bone Marrow also was just fine. The Lamb Chop Lollipops were super tender but the nut dukkah threw me off completely. Now the Cast-Iron Cornbread. Good Lord. This is by far one of, if not, the best cornbreads to touch my tastebuds. The Cornbread is baked to order and the cast-iron truly elevates it. It's slightly crisp on the outside yet soft on the inside and the hot honey butter is just perfect. It's a good thing I don't live in San Diego because I could literally eat that everyday. Whatever you do, get the cornbread!"
"We have frequently here a half of dozens of times. We have also been to two other locations as well. This location has been our favorite. Somehow, we always park our car and enter the wrong door! We ended up walking thru to the main entrance to be seated. ;)It seems like an older establishment. For us, it feels homey. Nice decor and clean. I didn't catch the waitress's name, but she's the only one we've encountered. She's super sweet and friendly. I absolutely LOVE their pizzas. We ordered the meat lovers and the white sauce pizzas. One pizza was more than enough for the two of us. We just love leftovers so we ordered two!Overall, a nice pizza place to be with family or friends. They offer more than pizzas. They even have a nice selection of wines! Ample parking and clean bathrooms. Friendly service is a bonus!"
"Visited on Friday afternoon, and our server Brandon (I think that was his name) was great! Made exceptional drinks. We ordered 4 different ones and enjoyed them all, especially the Vesper. We always visit this place on our trips to Gaslamp but this was our first time in the afternoon, so it was nice to see it a bit more quiet."
"LOVE. You feel like you are on vacation.... I live local and come here for a stay-cation feel. The food is great. They have gluten free and vegetarian options labeled on the menu. I love their sushi and my bestie loves their cheese burger and cheese pizza. I love sitting on the patio."
"I stayed at the Rancho Bernard Inn, so we had lunch at the Veranda. We sat inside, but there is also outside seating! We shared the shrimp ceviche, Caesar Salad, and crab cake sandwich. The ceviche was a bit fishy, but everything else was pretty tasty. I enjoyed the sandwich, which had plenty of crab cake and came with yummy fries. I got a mocktail, which was refreshing. The Naked and Famous cocktail had a good amount of alcohol, so my friend love it haha."
"As others have remarked about the Paradise Lounge and Grill, some of the waitresses can be a bit testy. There is a feeling of visiting a run down strip club when arrive, but that is a great part of the charm. The square-shaped bar fills fast with happy and bositrous people. Note that you would want to sit at the bar if you intend to dine. Although Paradise has several large semi-circular boohs along one side wall that are available for dining, it is difficult to get the waitress' attention if you chose to sit there, for for they need to come from behind the bar to reach you. The music at the Pardise is an eclectic mix of songs from various eras, and is fun. At several times during the evening, the staff announces they are going to do a big dance behind the bar, and they beckon you to watch. For example, "Step by Step" by the New Kids on the Block. However, the staff is adament that you NOT photograph them in the dance they just asked you to watch.Thw Spaghetti and Meatballs was a special of the night and was acceptable."
"This place is great, the espresso martini is one of my favs but on a busy night it might take a lil. The bartender Sarah on sat pm was great, so sweet and explained the menu and gave other fun ob tips . I will def come back, the only gripe is the bathroom smelled like chemicals and in the 3 min I was in there gave me a headache."
"Had one of THE BEST dinners ever . And go figure - at a casino for crying out loud. Evie was the hostess and Star was our server. Both girls made our celebratory bday dinner so wonderful. My family frequents this casino often and receives vouchers for restaurants. I didn't expect much from this steakhouse dinner but was BLOWN AWAY by how much we all enjoyed the meal and experience .And we are tough food critics within our family. The experience, from start to finish, seemed effortless and flawless. Star was simply so patient, kind, warm, and just darn good. Her helpers were equally professional. The meal starts with complimentary olives, nuts, and cheese. You also get to sample a bread basket, brought warm to table, of four different breads and three different butters. We also opted for a bottle of Pinot Noir (priced pretty well compared to a glass of it). BF also ordered a cocktail ($16).We all decided to go for their 3 course dinner for $69/pp. You get to choose a salad/soup, 4 different entrees, and any dessert. It also includes coffee and tea which I didn't realize until I looked at menu again just now. We tried:Split pea soup:- very rich and creamy according to everyoneHouse salad:- so ridiculously refreshing with the meyer lemon vinaigrette. The greens were so fresh and crisp. I wish it was a bigger serving but otherwise a great starter before mealCaesar salad:- BF said it was good but anchovies were deliciousChilean Sea bass:- this was DONE RIGHT. Chilean sea bass is my favorite fish ever as it reminds me of childhood memories eating with my father. This version was prepared so delicately and so well executed. The exterior had a nice crust but the flesh remained silken and moist. The sweet basil pesto paired perfectly with the tart sundried tomatoes and fresh zucchini. Brandt Filet mignon:- really good cut of meat and cooked to the right requested tempCreme Fraiche Cheesecake:- creative and tasted really good (says BF)White Chocolate Pistachio Souffle:- LISTEN. Listen well. I dislike white chocolate and pistachio in ANY dessert. I adore souffle when it's done right, which let's be honest, is a difficult feat. Star told me this souffle (flavors vary each day) was worth it. I trusted her THAT much to order and try this. And dangggg. One of THE BEST SOUFFLES I've ever had. It brought back more childhood memories of eating with my father. The souffle was 100% baked to order and came piping hot and SKY HIGH to the table. It was served with a side of creme fraiche with chopped pistachios. The souffle was a generous portion. The top was beyond perfection and the interior tasted light and fluffy. GET THIS SOUFFLE WHEN YOU ARE HERE.Baked Alaska:- sis loved this but I didn't try it. The coffee served was presented in a ridiculously thoughtful and immaculate way. We're talking chocolate dipped biscotti, whipped cream, caramel/honey, chocolate spoons, sugar sticks. The decaf tasted like heaven after the dessert.Let me tell you what set Star apart. She packaged everything for us and when I asked if we could take home the left over bread on table, she smiled and said yes and would I like a few extra ones as well. Be still my beating stomach's heart. She also packaged the fantastic butters for us. AND also packaged the coffee condiments (chocolate spoons and whipped cream) as I told her I would totally eat it later for a 2nd dessert.I was so glad the restaurant puts an automatic 20% tip on full price of the meal as she and her staff deserved every penny of that. We also tipped her additional cash as we enjoyed the dinner and service that much. I can't recall the last time I said hey let's return to a casino restaurant for another meal. It's a long drive for us but I would absolutely return just for Star and another memorable meal with the family."
"4.5 stars. I made a special trip out to San Diego to stay with my friend, and we spent one evening drinking wine and doing tarot readings on each other. That gave her the idea of going to Seventh House for brunch the next morning. It wasn't clear exactly when they would have someone doing tarot readings, but we took a chance and make a reservation. This place is SO CUTE. I'm obsessed with the décor, and borrowed a ton of ideas for my house. Parking is kind of a pain, so make sure to allot time for that. On top of cocktails (which were just okay and not very strong) we shared the Divorce Eggs and Vanilla Bean French Toast. Both food items were tasty! Never had anything like the Divorce Eggs before.By the time we were getting ready to leave--because our brunch reservation was relatively early--someone had come in to set up their tarot reading station. It's a very aesthetically pleasing "bird cage" for lack of a better description. The service itself was quite pricey, and we decided it wasn't worthwhile so we left. Neat experience overall."
