"4.5 starsCame here early evening as they opened because I hear it can get busy and then parking starts to get harder. We had a reservation just to be sure. There were options to create your own pasta dish by choosing a pasta shape and sauce. Instead I went with one of their composed pasta dishes; Ravioli Di Carne Ai Funghi, Angus beef stuffed ravioli with a mushroom cream sauce.I almost never get stuffed pasta but this one spoke to me for some reason. I thought the ravioli were tasty and cooked well but the mushroom cream sauce was too creamy for me. I usually like sauces that are tomato or olive oil based but I took a chance. If you're into cream sauces, im sure you'd like this one a lot.We split one of the daily specials the braised beef short ribs with mashed potatoes. What was surprising was they split it in the kitchen with out asking! Thats amazing service! The short rib was fork tender and just melted in your mouth. The red wine and demi-glace sauce that it was braised in was very tasty and the mashed potatoes were silky smooth and buttery. Just half was a good size portion, I left really full.. The atmosphere is casual but you can dress up a little if you like. Business casual is probably a safe bet. I'd like to come back and try another pasta dish, maybe a lasagna or a Linguine alle vongole (linguini with clams)Service was great, its not a large place so reservations are highly recommended. I wouldn't take a chance just walking in, I'd imagine it would be a long wait."

Visit Restaurant Page"Little Italy of course is always our go-to for Pastas or Pizzas. I love how this place mostly the restaurants has a lot of outdoor seating. We dined-in at most of the restaurants here, but we recently tried their LITTLE ITALY FOOD HALL. There are a variety of vendors here like Asian food , Ice cream, pizza, etc. We picked AMBROGIO 15 to visit and we got: *PIZZA BURRATA E PROSCIUTTO CRUDO *PIZZA VEGGIE LOVERWe chose to be seated outdoors 'coz we have our 18-year-old Dog Bambam with us, plus we wanted to enjoy the view of the Plaza. At the time we were there someone was singing Italian songs at the plaza with people dancing to the music. Our pizza was made fast, but I kinda noticed that the Artichokes (My favorite) in our PIZZA VEGGIE LOVER were in bits and pieces, and mostly Diced. I was expecting to see a bigger cut of Artichokes in my Veggie lover Pizza, and it tasted like those Artichokes from the Cans that you can find from the grocery stores. However, the PIZZA BURRATA E PROSCIUTTO CRUDO was DELICIOUS! No complaints on that one. I love Prosciutto, but I'm gonna ask them next time if I can buy more Prosciutto to add to my Pizza 'coz our dog also loves Prosciutto. And ohh the BIG imported BURRATA in the middle was beautiful on the pizza. It was good, but I hope that they were pre-slice 'coz when my son tried to slice some, he actually sliced almost half of the BURRATA for his pizza ;) Between the two pizzas we had, we liked the PIZZA BURRATA E PROSCIUTTO CRUDO, and if ever we are in the area of the Food hall again here in Little Italy, we will still try a few more of their pizza on their menu List."
"Elvira is a cute restaurant and more casual than the sister restaurant Cesarina, even down to the menu which has a big pizza section. My husband and I ordered an appetizer, pasta, and pizza. The appetizer which was a special that night was the most memorable bite. It was an extra large ravioli the size of a large post-it filed with cheese, meat, and mushrooms, then coated in breadcrumbs and deep fried. It was served with a béchamel that was delicious. The cacio e Pepe was superb, perfectly salted, very peppery, and had a nice chew to the pasta. The pizza was our least favorite and don't think we'd order again. It was the Provolona which had sausage, mushrooms, and actual slices of provolone cheese. It lacked flavor, the crust was okay, and was one note. The service was impeccable just as it always is at Cesarina and restaurant itself gorgeous."
"June 21, 2024 down in the Encinitas area hanging out with my high school friends celebrating their birthdays. So many great places to eat in the area went to best peace and brew in Cardiff by the sea Even though the pizza smelled delicious display pizza look delicious. We decided to go with a couple of cheeseburgers, french fries and their delicious iced tea has to be the best cheeseburger I've ever had from a restaurant in a long time. The customer service was excellent food was excellent. They opened at 11 AM by the time we gotthere at 11:1115 they were pretty busy goes to tell you that this is a great restaurant to eat and I highlyrecommend. parking. Can be a little tight, but if you could find parking on the street, I do highly suggest."
"It has been a while, but we were driving around aimlessly looking for somewhere to eat that had outdoor seating and was dog friendly. I can't believe I haven't been back! The times I've come, parking was crazy and they were really busy, but on this lazy Sunday, there were tables available on the patio! The friendly server remembered us when she came to say hello. I think she recognized Cako first...LOL! We shared the delicious bruschetta, a traditional pepperoni pizza, and the tagliatelli bolognese, both were very good! Two glasses of chianti and we were good! We had a very enjoyable meal and the people watching was great! There was a drag event going on at Rich's across the street.Cako Approves!"
"I just love take out here! They are open late and the pizza was so satisfying! I love the just enough crust to satisfy this carb lover, sauce tasty. Thank you for all the food love over the past six years I've lived here!"
"Date of most recent visit: November 4, 2023Review #1450!The family had come here a couple of weeks prior to celebrate my brother's birthday; while we shared the Fit For a King pizza (lots of cheese on that one), I resolved to come back here after donating blood to try one of their sandwiches.I went with the Super Torpedo ($12.65) - this was a pretty good sized sandwich stuffed with ham, capicolla, cotto, hard salami, and provolone cheese on a toasted Italian roll. As there's no sides with the sandwich, I also went with a side of Sicilian olives ($5.15). My food turned out good - I even brought half the sandwich home to share with my father - but it felt like there was something missing that I couldn't quite put my finger on. This Filippi's is spacious with a large parking lot. Service is quick enough.I suppose for Italian food, this location is what it is; given how each Filippi's location their own menus, though, perhaps I should stick to the Scripps Ranch location (closer to me... and it has prime rib!)."
"I've been coming to Sardinas for a few years and decided to host my baby shower of 40guests this past weekend. Wendy helped me schedule the most memorable lunch menu and upon arrival the patio was set up perfectly for my event. I was also able to setup decorations with plenty of time which was really nice. I got soooo many compliments on the menu!! We had calamari as an appetizer, salad with bread and 3 entrees. The lasagna was the star of the show no doubt. I can't wait to host many more events here, such a gem!!"
"We decided to try this place at the recommendation of some friends and we are glad we did. First, the food. Everything we had was really good! I ordered a surf and turf (even though this place is more Italian) and the meat and shrimp were fantastic. The filet was cooked perfectly and was a great cut of meat. When dealing with the quality of meat you get with this place, you don't want to smother the meat with a bunch of seasoning. You want to be able to taste the quality of meat and here you'll get a good piece is filet. The bread they bring out was fresh, super hot and also very good. They also have a very extensive wine list. The service was also very good. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and very attentive to the needs of the table. He also made great recommendations while trying to decide what to get. The atmosphere here was pretty great. It wasn't loud and obnoxious, it was very nice. I was a little bummed that this place was not closer to the water and the traffic right outside makes sitting in the front patio a little loud. We sat inside. All in all this place was a pretty good place to have a nice dinner. If you're in the area give it a try! Cheers!"
"As always, we were warmly welcomed upon arrival and seated immediately (always recommend a rezi just in case). Our server, Angelo, from beginning to end was awesome and friendly. The restaurant is quiet and nicely laid out. The food....amazing. We started with calamari, which is a generous amount, followed by entrees (mine pictured and the wife got the gnocchi), and capped off with crème brûlée. Delicious. Can't wait until next time!"
"This place is stunning! I loved the food, service, and the live entertainment.... everything! All dishes had beautiful presentation and tasted great, like the Branzino, Pork and Polenta dish, and my Linguine alle Vongone. We tried the octopus to share, which again, was presented and cooked so nicely with the octopus wrapped around the toasted bread. I was relieved the texture was not chewy at all, which I thought it would be. My Linguine alle Vongone had sooo many clams and everything was full of flavor. I demolished the whole dish, no leftovers. Mathieu offered the best service! He was super friendly, always had a smile on his face, and gave us everything we asked for. We went on a Wednesday evening and they have Roman Palacios + band perform live music for a few hours every week. He's amazing! You have to go when he's there. This restaurant itself is pretty. Surprisingly has a lot of seating with both indoor and outdoor (outdoor patio just as stunning). Nice and clean. Highly recommend!"

We're picky when it comes to Italian food because my husband is half Italian from New York where Italian food is abundant. This is our new favorite Italian spot in town! Starting with the service, everyone and I mean EVERYONE was extremely friendly, helpful, and just overall great hosts for our date night. The food was spectacular. We had the calamari, Amatriciana with pancetta and tagliatelle, lobster ravioli (special - please add this to your permanent menu!!!), and ended with nutella cheesecake and crème brûlée. Every dish was full of freshness, flavor, and cooked to perfection. The standout was the lobster ravioli in vodka sauce. Let me tell you that vodka sauce is pure gold and deserves its own show as the main event. Make a reservation on Yelp as they were busy on a Saturday night. Loved the ambiance, fair pricing, food, service, and everything in between.

Was in the area for the Saturday farmers market and happened to drop by. My friend knew about the food hall from th YouTube channel. It said best pizza in little Italy. We got the number 4 with the burrata and prosciutto. I feel like it was close to perfect. The burrata was creamy and the prosciutto added a nice saltiness. The crust was crispy and the tomato sauce was just enough.

Finally made my way over to try Cesarina's sister restaurant, Elvira! Elvira is focused on Roman dishes. It's easier to visit last minute in comparison to Cesarina. Overall I prefer the variety of dishes at Cesarina, but still really enjoyed the pasta quality at Elvira. During my visit, I shared the sausage mushroom pizza, bucatini all'amatriciana, and rigatoni al sugo. The pizza was very bready and tasted stale. I would not get the pizza again. Both pastas were perfectly al dente. The guanciale in the bucatini dish could have been more crispy.

Delicious pizza, unpretentious place with good beer selection. Be sure to come in pint night for a good deal on the beer of the day. Came here with the kids, and everyone loved their food. Overall a very positive experience. It really is the best!

Absolutely love this place! My cousins who are locals like this spot so they brought me here when I was painfully hungover from a night at Rich's across the street, and it was such good recovery food. We shared the bruschetta, truffle fries, antipasto salad, cacio e pepe, and pepperoni NY-style pizza, plus a bottle of sparkling water. All of it was fabulous. I really loved the bruschetta and their pizza! I'm a pizza snob thanks to the couple of years I spent in undergrad living in Connecticut and this pizza passes the test. Great crisp on the crust and generous pepperoni portions, with a light sauce ratio for an extra perfect bite. Had to end the meal with their banana split, which was so yummy. They give you a very full bowl of their hazelnut gelato with it so we couldn't even finish it between the three of us!My one and only "complaint" is that the portion size of the truffle fries was very small (only about six fries on the plate) but each fry was pretty big and dense, so you don't need a bunch if you only have two or three people in your party. I don't think I'll need to order that appetizer next time. And the bananas in the banana split weren't caramelized as described, just cut up and included on the sides, but that didn't take away from how good the dish was. We loved the waitstaff (and owner!) here--really attentive and anticipatory service which was nice. The owner even gave us 50% off our dessert since we had already closed our tab before changing our minds about wanting the banana split, so we had to create a separate check for it, and when we were ready to pay for just that they had gotten a big party inside so their waitstaff was a bit busy and there was the slightest delay in getting our second/final check, so that was a classy move! P.S. they have Diet Dr Pepper, for anyone who likes it, because it's their owner's favorite! A rare treat for sure. The interior is cozy and relaxed; we were seated immediately but it was off-peak hours (4 p.m. on a Saturday) and it started to get busier by the time we left closer to dinner. Easy lot parking in the back with great walkability to nearby shops and bars. We spent $100 for a filling family-style meal for three, and I can't wait to go back.

We ordered online, it was delicious. we ordered one large pepperoni and sausage pizza, one medium pepperoni with pineapple and one small salad. The salad was very tasty and the dressing was nicely seasoned. The pizzas had a delicious sauce, the cheese was great and there was plentiful toppings for the two toppings we ordered on each pizza. The food definitely deserves a five star, however, it was over an hour wait for us to receive the item. That portion is a four star. I do recommend the food I would have taken pictures, except we were starving by the time we received it lol. Hence, no pictures, anyway, the food definitely recommend service next time we will go pick it up ourselves.

The basic pepperoni pizza was AMAZING! 10 out of 10!The vibe of this place is very 1980's like an old Pizza Hut.Talk about taste, texture and appearance it has it all! However the thing that was disappointing was the special called Fit for a king, it came recommended by the waitress. Being my first time I LOVE trying new things. It shouldn't be called fit for a king, more like fit for a joker. The sauce was lacking or not present at all, the veggies were not cut up and big. It seemed as if they just threw a bunch of stuff on it and called it a pizza.I asked for sauce because it was basically naked, and I got charged for it. Overall would only come back for the pepperoni pizza.
Visit Restaurant Page"This place was so beautiful!! When you walk in, the ambiance is already stunning and you know you're gonna get an amazing brunch. Staff is super friendly and the food came quickly. Make sure to have a reservation though! Here's some notes on the things we tried:Waffles churro sticks - super crispy and flavorful! It came with berries and a berry sauce which was unexpectedly spicy (but added such a great depth of flavor!) White bean shakshuka - I love shakshukas and this one did not disappoint! The poached egg mixed perfectly with the richness of the dish, and the pulled pork was juicy and deliciousPapas locas - a great brunchy choice if you're feeling like having something egg-y! With fluffy scrambled eggs and crispy potato wedges, this bowl was a perfect start to the day French toast - if you like your sweet breakfasts, this one is for you! Light yet moist, the French toast came with a good amount of fruit and butter to accompany the dish!"
"Came here for pasta to celebrate an anniversary and the food and service were great! We were able to make reservation online through Yelp on the same day and were seated right away. We got free bread and olive oil, which was an extra nice treat! We ordered the fritto misto, carbonara, and the lasagna bolognese. I highly recommend the carbonara! It was delicious!! Parking can be hard to find on the street but if you drive further down a bit, there is a parking structure."
"Everything LOX was really good. It's like a deconstructed version but the flavor was amazing. I also tried the breakfast potatoes and those were yummy. Lastly, tried the Margherita pizza and it was very good. Service was OK. Didn't have a reservation both times I dined here, but got seated quickly the first time and had about a 25 minute wait the second time. Located inside the Pendry."
"I enjoyed the Brussels Sprout Salad for lunch from Postino for $15 and an iced tea for a slightly steep $4.50.The salad was wonderful, but a little undersized for $15. The mix of brussels spouts and kale was great. They were both very fresh. The spicy marcona almond and bacon both gave the salad not only great flavor but great texture as well. I enjoyed the manchego cheese and dried cranberries very much in the salad, but what really stood out as whole was the lemon manchego dressing that offered outstanding flavors. The salad is gluten-free.The service was good, but I did not get a refill on my iced tea. I figured at almost $5 for a glass, they would be one."
"The Kensington neighborhood has this new Italian restaurant after its Michelin Bib Gourmand predecessor closed last summer. Trattoria da Sofia debuted a couple of weeks ago in the vacated space. The interior was neatly decorated, including a Roman statue fountain near the foyer, while an outside front patio nearly doubled the seating capacity. We made an OpenTable reservation and sat at a two-top table in the main dining area. The two-page menu featured antipasti, soups, and salads on the left side while the right side listed the pastas, entrees, and sides. A complimentary basket of focaccia bread with pomodoro sauce was provided while we decided what to order. From the entrees, we split the Spiedini Siciliana as a starter. This dish was made up of stuffed beef rolled with mozzarella cheese, bread crumbs, pomodoro sauce, and pine nuts served with rosemary roasted potatoes. It turned out to be better than the individual pasta that I ordered because the meat was well-seasoned and grilled perfectly. My friend chose the Sugo Pittinicchi which was tagliatelle noodles with pork ribs and sausage slowly cooked in pomodoro sauce. I selected the Allo Scoglio which consisted of fettuccine noodles with clams, mussels, shrimp, and calamari finished in pomodoro sauce. This was the kitchen's version of Seafood Fra Diavolo as the sauce had a considerable degree of spiciness. Because of the seafood ingredients, it was the priciest of the pasta dishes on the menu. One aspect of our dinner that bothered me was the seating configuration. When we first sat down, the surrounding tables were empty. By the time we received our food, the hostess seated other groups next to us which made the area congested. Our table was already small, and I was worried that anyone who walked by would potentially bump it and knock over some plates. There were plenty of open spots across the dining room so the staff could have easily spread out the parties. For the food quality, service, and prices, I gave a 3.5 star rating for our Trattoria da Sofia experience."
"Came this time for their Bottle and Board for $25 special (Mon & Tues after 8 pm). You can't make a same day reservation & they told me it gets super crowded at 8 pm. So my friend and I came a little before & ordered something first, and then got the special at 8. SERVICE: The staff here were SO nice - you don't have the same person all night but they do team service. Shoutouts: First, Jordan, thank you! We wanted a table that was not too loud & on top of other people so we could talk - but also not too cold. Thank you! Dana also took our order at one point and was really nice. There was also a great server who's a student at UMass & another woman with long brown hair who was really nice when I came in & when I kept running into her.FOOD AND DRINK: First of all, the bottle & board special for $25 is CRAZY. We got the Zinfandel that's normally $48 a bottle, plus the board that's normally $18. TOGETHER, they were just $25. And they were delicious. Thumbs up on the zin (though I might order something different next time). The board: we got 4 kinds of bruschetta: the chef's special French onion (yummy), the mushroom mascarpone (our FAVORITE, so good), ricotta, date and pistachio (good, but forgettable, I'd try something different), and finally the smoked salmon (you can't go wrong with smoked salmon - but it tastes exactly how you think it will, so no surprises like with the mushroom mascarpone!).We also started with the cauliflower appetizer which was INSANELY good. I loved the sauce. I think I will need to get this each time I come. And it was definitely better than the kale salad I got last time (which maybe is not on the menu anymore?). Finally, I was going to get soup for dessert (LOL, but I was trying to be healthy) - but they ran out of it!! So I got the little donut dessert instead. CRAZY good. Chocolate sauce, vanilla sauce, salted caramel sauce. We loved it.So now I've figured out the secret sauce here and when to come and what to get. Will definitely be back with friends in the future!!"
"We used to live close to this place and went quite a bit, so when my wife was having her hair done close to Crust all I could think of was that pie there are very few places down in this north county area, where the pizza is exactly how I like it.Thin crust, great ingredients, all fresh, and a variety of how those ingredients are put on the pie. I'm not a big fan of mushrooms or red onions and Scott the manager gets that. So you walk out with exactly the pie and the flavor profile that you want that for me makes a great pizza and a great experience. That's the takeout part. If you're gonna to eat at crust get ready cause it's a party, there's something going on every night and it's really fun. So great pizza great drinks and great fun. That is a win."
"LOCALS ONLY!!!! And I mean it if you don't ready know then it's too late! Lidos is top five dead or alive for it's pizza!!! Along with being a nice Italian restaurant with deep history and roots, the standout by far is there pizza!! I won't go into my usual spill and explain how all of the fresh ingredients come together in a melted symphony of deliciousness..... but what I will tell you is so always get a white sauce pizza with sausage ,olives, onion, fresh basil, fresh garlic!!! Don't play!!!! And you have to get extra fresh Parmesan cheese on the side and it's not fresh because you ask it's fresh because that's WHAT THEY DO!!! (No pre packaged cheese around here) Ok stop by if your 619!!! Otherwise stay out hahaha jkjk (maybe)We love Lidos Pizza!!!!"
"We found this place with the help of Yelp. We got excited about the 20% off coupon (on any $20+ purchase). We ordered a pizza and a salad and went to pick it up.The staff was friendly as we picked up the order. The margherita pizza was hand tossed, not thin and crispy, but meaty and hearty. The toppings tasted fresh but the pizza was just ok for me.The antipasto salad was not great...the salami was not rolled up as other places, the chunks of toppings were really big. The dressing was good, but the salad itself was just ok."
"Loved their antipasto salad. And love that they have the dressing on the side so you can add as much or as little as you like. I don't generally like a lot of dressing on my salads so this was perfect. We got the thin crust pepperoni pizza and it was delicious. Crunchy and the cheese and pepperoni are excellent. Definetly used the pepperoni which is nice because a lot of places don't put much on but they loaded it!!!The egg plant Parmesan spaghetti was very good and I don't generally like egg plant but loved this!!!Their deep dish pizza is amazing (had it years ago) I didn't realize I've never written a review. Very meaty and cheesy!! Superb!!"
"If you want real Mexican food, this is the place to go. I was by the border and got hungry so I thought I'd stop by and order a carne asada burrito. It was one of the best I've ever had. This is a no-frills nothing fancy by the border Mexican restaurant, it's really good. They have a salsa bar with five different kinds of salsa. All of them are excellent. The Jamaica drink a little sweet, but that's the way they like it"
"Chillin' with a buddy on the Brewer's Deck level of Sky Deck and ordered a Burratina e Prosciutto (Fresh Burrata, Prosciutto Crudo di Parma aged 20 months, EVOO, Olives, Focaccia) from Ambrogio15 below.Unfortunately, the focaccia bread was a bit too soggy and dense to properly showcase the delicately flavored burrata dollops and prosciutto slices. In hindsight, a crispy thin pizza crust with those toppings would've been the better call!"
"Wow. The reviews are not wrong about place! Pro tip: make a reservation on the open table app. This place is popular and busy! You'll thank me later.Came here on a Tuesday night for my husband's 30th birthday. We were greeted by two sweet hosts who read my requests thoroughly from the open table app. We love people who pay attention to detail! They had a high chair ready for my daughter and table waiting for us. We were seated next to the kitchen where we can see all the magic happen lol. I didn't plan it, but we came here during happy hour 3-6 PM. Drinks and apps were a little cheaper so we got a few. I love Their margarita. The lavender mule had a subtle lavender taste, it was delicious. The Artichokes were tasty! I loved the stuffed red peppers it came with. The food was amazing. We had zio's penne pasta and the classic Neopolitan pizza. The kids menu is not shown, but our amazing server Natalia kindly explained the kids options. Our daughter had spaghetti and a meatball. The meatball was huge and tender. It paired well with the spaghetti. The spaghetti sauce was sooo good and sweet. Alright - I saved the best for last: tiramisu was delicate. It was velvety, melt in your mouth good. One of the best tiramisu's I've ever had! We're excited to come back here without our daughter! lol. Date night.Ambiance is extremely loud - but nice vibes!"
"What a great spot here Gabratella Osteria So nice to see such a nice newer Italian Resturant here. Music happens on Thursdays thru Sunday Full bar & and a cute coffee & gelato, & bread and dry pasta's Italian treats too We had a Happy hour menu1pm to 5pm every day expect Sunday Jose our server was great quick and helpful tooWe are coming back again maybe for brunch soon!! We enjoy our lunch!! I can't say enough about the big pizza red huge ovensThey have a a great hot ovens and good dough rolled out thin like we like it. The sauce was rich and flavorful that's what made for us!! On our pizza My friend Susan said the same too. we ordered a Margarita Pizza very good hot and thin crust simple but with fresh ingredients you tasted all the amazing flavor's with your first biteThe salad was good fresh with strawberries an cranberry's and goat cheese we had it on the side because not everyone likes goat cheese Pesto GENOVESE had a beautiful pesto sauce it was perfecto! And the barrita was good too But the pistachio cake was delicious so light and creamy at the same time It had a later of pistachio cream and later of Ricotta cheese So darn good!! I saw you buy a whole cake here Thanks Jose And staff"
"We had a birthday dinner here last weekend, at a table for eight. We enjoyed the view, the service was very friendly, and the food was great. We had cocktails - loved the Old Fashioned - and mocktails. We enjoyed the calamari appetizer and the clams and mussels which were very generous - ask for bread to soak up the broth! We also had salad. I think we all ordered pasta for our main course, so we had a variety and enjoyed it all (though I would have preferred capellini instead of bucatini). Didn't try the dessert - we had brought our own cake - but they did bring us plated and a knife. We will be back!"
"It's unfortunate Bella Vista doesn't validate parking (the huge lot in front of it is controlled by UCSD) - not so much due to cost, but because apparently I am not particularly bright and cannot for the life of me figure out how the pay machines work so must resort to trying to find an empty space on the super packed street (FYI lunch companions, this is why I'm always late)! That said, this is a super chill spot for hanging out, especially when the weather is warm and/or there's live music on the patio. Service is casual and can be spotty, but the food is pretty tasty for an office park resto - I recommend the gnocchi with your choice of protein and sauce. The cocktails are a little watered-down, which is not a bad thing if you still have half a workday left but not so good if you're done and trying to get your happy hour on. ;)"
"Great patio with views of the estuary and tbh very fun trains going by in the distance! A welcoming and attentive staff, and great food & cocktails. It was warm so my date had an elderflower spritz and I had a Negroni because it's a Negroni, you can't go wrong! For dinner a solid Cesar, and then two great pastas : my date had a tasty spicy Capesante e Gamberi, and I had a luscious mushroomy Ragu' Di Agnello, I have to say there were no leftovers :). Wonderful!"
"Hubby and I checked out this place in September of last year. We sat outside since it was such a nice day, but be aware of the mosquitos! We tried the aromi and the burrata bruschetta. The presentation was nice and the bread pieces were big and tasty. Our drinks came out after. He got an espresso martini and I opted for a virgin mojito. Both drinks were refreshing. I was excited for my cheese wheel pasta! It was pretty good! Hubby wanted to try the gnocchi verde, which was pretty good.We ordered the tiramisu and it was made tableside. Overall, I had a good time here. The restaurant has some cute decor and a private dining area as well!"
"THICCCCCC CRUST(5 stars) ... eating on a budget.I haven't had Lefty's Chicago Pizzeria since 2013 in San Francisco. It's been existing in SD but have always route my pizza craving to thin crust New York style pizza. But after a recent visit here, I forgot how thiccc pizza has good offerings as well. My second order of TooGoodToGo was from this place. My surprise bag was $3.99. Parking was extremely difficult due to its location being in North Park aka No Park. But they were on time with prepping the pickup. My surprise bag... in this case, my surprise box came with (3) slices of pizza. At first I thought it was one pizza, then I saw two, and then I saw three! 2 deep dish and 1 regular. The crust here is amazing! I could eat the crust by itself - drizzle some honey to cut some of the acidity from the tomato sauce and eat it with the crust. PEPPERONI DEEP DISH - yum! It was hard to see the pepperoni as it was deep in the dish. VEGGIE DEEP DISH - yum! Veggie pizza sounds boring BUT all the veggies really shined on this pie. Layers and layers of cheese, pizza sauce, and veggies. CHEESE THIN & CRISPY - it was basic, not super thin but on the thin side. Tasted average. What I liked about the pizza is that it didn't get hard and stale when saving the pizza in the fridge. After a quick warm up the pizza tasted exactly as it should."
"Located in Scripps Ranch. We got this delivered & it came in less than an hour. They serve salads, sub sandwiches, pastas, build your own pastas, desserts, calzones, & a variety of pizzas.Chicken Alfredo: Generous portion of pasta, even for the small. Came with 2 pieces of garlic bread. The sauce was bland unfortunately.Pepperoni Pizza: It came lukewarm..."
"We had been wanting to try this for the kids make your own pizza but thought it would have bad parking and it was usually booked when we thought to try to go. Finally went on a Wednesday night and parking was a breeze. The place is cute but very loud inside which made me feel more comfortable bringing my kid to, but then she also complained about the noise. We got the goat cheese stuffed squash blossoms, bucatini, a spicy sausage pizza, and kids pizza. The timing was a little off in the courses but I'm sure it was hard to time too. Her pizza came out early and we all snacked on it before the rest of the meal came. I actually liked the kids cheese pizza more than the spicy sausage which was delicious and had a lot more going on. The crust was very tasty and it shone through more for hers. She loved making it and would do it again for sure. The squash blossoms were delicious and the honey and pesto on them were fantastic. The bucatini was delicious-we got the poached egg on top which was a nice addition. The sausage pizza was spicy and had a delicious oil that might have just been from the sausage, or added on top, we couldn't tell. It was very flavorful and good, but I think I would have probably enjoyed some of the other pizzas more. They have a lot of great looking options! We also got a chocolate budino and the lemoncello tart and they were both excellent. The budino had lots of textures to it and was super rich and creamy. The tart was a perfect contrast and we all went back and forth between the two, unable to pick a favorite. We couldn't finish them all and we ended up taking some pizza home. The service was friendly and good, the meal was delicious, and we look forward to returning sometime."
"PASTRY BREAK(3.25 stars)Sunny days, a cookie, and live music! This place is always packed, especially on weekends. When u first took interest in the place was during the times of the Pandemic as I thought this was a "neighborhood corner store" because they were selling imported goods from Italy and I bought Italian flour here (instead of waiting in long lines at the grocery store) for my homemade pasta noodle making. Those days have long past and I got to come here was a restaurant/cafe. Needed a snack but not a meal. Live music paired so well with a latte and a cookie.VANILLA LATTE - decaf! nothing special. Quickly ordered it to quickly grab a seat. Didn't get a chance to really assess the way I assess LOL. Foam art was none existing, it was quickly made and poured into the cup. SNICKERDOODLE COOKIE - I love anything snickerdoodle and honestly never in my life had a bad snickerdoodle. Their cookie was on the fluffy soft side and didn't have as much cinnamon and sugar but it was still good. Until the next review..."
"Great service today from Ervin. We got a slice pie, which is a great deal. 8 mix and match slices for $28. One was the new eggplant ricotta slice (here on my plate once I took it home). Yum!"
