We stopped by Trident and it was packed! Now, the service was SO friendly and welcoming and while it was busy they were getting everyone's orders out quickly. They have a lot of options and it was hard to choose. With new spots I generally use a caramel latte as my baseline. The prices are on par and my caramel latte was full of flavor and great! I would definitely stop back in when in Coronado!"

Once again, yelp came with some great recommendations nearby. This place was clean and the service was great as we were seated right away and got our food in a timely manner. The eggrolls are a must get appetizer. The chicken pho was a surprise, because the broth was stronger than other places I have tried. On a rainy, cloudy day, this really hit the spot.My kids got the slushy drink for five dollars and they were kind enough to put it in two cups. I think we found a new place to go for noodles and eggrolls."

Jana N. "I've had the pleasure of eating food from Bandar on a few other locations, mostly catered. This time we ate in the restaurant for an office dinner and this review is based on this visit. This was a great choice for this dinner since it is conveniently located for us and they were able to accommodate a party of 13. The space is very classy and upscale with servers wearing full suits, however felt that the diners were dressed more on the casual side. Upon entry we were greeted at the door and service throughout our meal was excellent. The food here is quite delicious with an emphasis on the meats, not to mention the huge portions! Everyone had to take the leftovers to go and it would likely provide 2+ meals which makes the price rather decent. The most ordered dish was the Chicken Soltani (chicken & beef combo) and I can see why it's called "world famous chicken" - tender and great flavor. The yellow and white rice is also my favorite. We also ordered the hummus platter to share which was a perfect appetizer for a large group. We ended with baklava and pistachio ice cream to add to the overall excellent experience. I'm sure we will be back and/or ordering more catering."

Erk P. "Let me tell you a story:Yesterday, I hosted a potluck at my company. Various employees signed up to bring enough items to feed 45 people. Well, not all of them were able to. Various reasons interfered with their schedules and we just didn't have enough food to serve everyone. Last minute. What do I do? I phone Gourmet Island Bistro almost in a panic and tell them my dihlemma. They suggested their garden salad and pasta salads to compliment the food I already had on hand. Me? I was trying to make sure everyone had enough food and salad was right on the money. I placed my order site unseen. (You can do that when you are calling an establishment that has aways come through for you). I had never had their large pasta and side salads before. Oh My God! Lets just say that I filled up on that delectable pasta salad. Now I've had pasta salads before and to be honest, I'm not a fan. But this salad was waaay over the top delicious. The olives were the star of the show. Plump and flavorful cuts of olives with the rest of the seasonings and pasta cooked to the perfect consistency. When I say perfect consistency, I'm talking firm but soft not firm, hard and undercooked. The garden salad was another salad that was over the top. Various types of plump cherry tomatoes or red, yellow and purple with fresh slices of cucumber and onions and romaine lettuce. I didn't eat any because I was hooked on the pasta salad. But it sure was pretty and my team loved it. As good as the salads were, it was the fact that they did not pull the whole 24 hour notice for a large specialty salad thing I hear so often from retaurants that cater. The fact that they knew I had a need and were there to help. I didn't ask for salad, they heard my problem and fixed it with salad. Now that's service. Thanks Guys."

Grilled Pineapple Al Pastor (with Adobo Tofu added) was delicious. Ingredients went well together. Good portion size. Adobo tofu was spicy (how I like it). There new Yucatán Chop was great. They are supposed to be open until 9 pm; I came at 7 and it was like they were closing up for the day. The floor was wet as they mopped up, and I almost slipped. I was the only customer there, and I started to get a little nervous. I used to come here before the pandemic when it was a different restaurant. And I found the menu board here confusing. They have south Indian food like idli and dosas, but then also North Indian food like Dal and baingan bharta. I asked the man at the counter what he might recommend as their best vegetarian dishes, and he didn't really direct me in any way. And the place is called "to go"... but my food took about 20 minutes in the evening. And it was about $25 for Dal makhani, naan and a mango lassi. No raita or anything else. HOWEVER... when I got home, the Dal was HELLA delicious. And the naan was buttery and perfect. And the mango lassi was pretty good too. And I still have enough Dal and rice to have more tomorrow. So in the end I am pretty happy with my dinner! I would just recommend coming in the daytime when they have lunch specials, and food will be faster and a better value."

Not even any rice dishes. Walking in, it looks like a typical small sit down restaurant. But it's not. You have to go up to the cashier and order/pay first, including tip?? FYI- if you come here even after reading my review, don't tip them (or tip very little) because almost everything is self serve. You have to also get your own water, utensils, and condiments. And if you buy a drink (soda cans), you have to retrieve the soda by yourself from the fridge. I probably wouldn't care so much if the food was extraordinary and/or pricing was good. Nope. The special bowl of pho is $16 and it had very little meat and tendons in it. Looked pathetic, especially since we are from LA/OC area. My vermicelli noodles with pork and egg rolls was average. The egg rolls were basically all veggies. No meat or shrimp as expected. Taste was at least average (hence the extra star). For 5 ppl, bill was $100 (added on soda and one coffee). I didn't know and gave tip. Ugh."

Shay M. "Disclaimer: I am not Paleo, am not on any special diets, and I have no dietary restrictions. I recently met the sweet owner of PPB at a Yelp event and firmly decided on supporting their small business for an upcoming birthday. I asked Rose what the most popular cakes are, and decided on one of the most popular, the Luscious Lemon. The cakes come in several sizes feeding 2-4, 6-8, etc. I really wanted something for 4-6 people but after speaking with Rose, it seemed the 6-8 person option was what I was looking for. Rose described the cake for 2-4 as being smaller than a Costco muffin and slight larger than a cupcake. Hence why I decided on the 6-8.Pickup was a breeze. I waited in the pickup lot for just a couple minutes before Rose happily delivered my cake. The presentation was nice. I really liked the packaging as it showed all the ingredients for the cake and the frosting. There was even a QR code that would link you to tips on serving/storing the cake. Nice touch. As instructed, I left the cake out of the fridge for about 2 hours and it was time to dig in.The cake reminded us of a very lightly sweetened cornbread. The frosting was "buttery", but in a unique way. As the frosting hit my lips it instantly coated them like butter. The cake smelled "lemony" when cutting into it, however I didn't get that same lemon flavor when eating it. And even though I'm not a fan of super sweet frosting, I desperately wanted more sugar in this frosting. I envisioned a PPB Paleo cake as one made with whole and possibly organic ingredients, having less sugar, or honey, and one that uses almond or coconut flour instead of unbleached white flour. While that may be mostly correct, I think I SEVERELY underestimated the whole "less sugar" part. That was my bad. Here's a rule of thumb that might help. Paleo and organic ingredients are simply more expensive than your typical cake ingredients. Expect your Paleo cake to be several times smaller to reflect that. The cake for 6-8, $50, was smaller than I anticipated.Working with Rose's PPB was super easy and extremely professional. I really loved the packaging and presentation of the cake."

We are no experts on Indian food, but we have tried many types in numerous IS states and 3 countries globally. These guys have a unique flavor of Indian food and it is very good. The Tandoori chicken wing appetizer was juicy, well seasoned, and came with three sauces: sweet, sour, spicy. Each sauce was tasty and went well with the chicken, but the sweet one was our favorite. However, the chicken was so good on its own, you don't need the sauces. The saag paneer was flavorful, had a lot of tofu in it, and was well seasoned. It went very well on top of the garlic naan, which was served piping hot. The naan was a little thin and not sufficient quantity to eat the saag paneer with, but the quality was very good. The dishes come with two sides and we got naan for one side, but we're disappointed you could not get double naan. For the second side we hit the potatoes. They came in a tomato based sauce. These were also well seasoned and had a great flavor. We cane in early on a Sun for dinner and they were deserted--just a little take out business. So this is a good time to come so as not to wait to be seated. However, the food prep time was somewhat long but worth the wait. The servers were not rude, but they were not that friendly until we complimented the food and engaged them in conversation. They have a special to get a free appetizer if u signup for their app advertised on the table, but u can only get it on your next visit. There is a birthday special too.Overall, and due to the quality of the food, 5 stars. If u like Indian food, then give these guys a try to see if u like their unique flavor. As their food is slow prepared and served piping hot, then dine in will probably taste better than take out."

We ordered the pepperoni plus, BBQ Chicken, and Meditteranean style pizzas. They use high-quality organic ingredients and the pizzas are healthy as well. Definitely satisfied my cravings and didn't feel bloated afterwards."
