"I stumbled upon this new dessert spot on Garnet Ave after departing from another place where I ate dinner. This space used to be the home of a surf shop. Inside was a beautifully decorated seating area that felt more like a high-end French cafe. There was a candle in a holder on each roundtop table in addition to the checkered floor tiles, wall mirrors, and chandeliers. The two ladies behind the service counter greeted me warmly as I approached.Crepes, gelato, coffee, and tea were featured on the menu. In the back of the suite, you could peer through a window and watch crepes being freshly made on an iron griddle. The six savory crepes cost between $16.95 and $18.95 while the six sweet crepes were priced slightly less at either $14.95 or $15.95. The gelato pricing was complicated with three tiers based on three sets of flavors. Within each tier, you could select one scoop or two scoops. The second scoop could cost $1, $1.20, or $1.30 more depending on the flavor. One of the workers offered taste samples of the gelato. I tried a few of the nine available flavors before settling on two scoops of the Mango Sorbet in a cup versus a cone. The fruity flavor was strong for this sorbet. If I was not so full from dinner, then I might have elected a sweet crepe for dessert instead of gelato. I hope the owners can install some permanent signage on the marquee soon because a sidewalk sign was the only reason why I noticed the presence of Creperie Antoinette while passing by."
"My husband has been on the search for this ever elusive rum soaked sponge cake he fell in love with while stationed in Naples. Every Italian restaurant and bakery, he would ask "do you guys have baba?" He would be disappointed 99% of the time when they didn't have it. We have only found one other Neapolitan restaurant that happen to have on the dessert menu that night. I was searching for something else when I saw I. The same plaza Dolce Aroma. When I saw it was on the menu, I knew it was worth the drive down. Seeing my husband beam in delight because his search was over was worth it! This place is nestled in the corner of the plaza. The two men were so inviting and seemed interested in my husband's fascination with baba. The owner even offered to add more cream to our cake, but my husband, the purist, respectfully declined.Safe to say, we'll be back soon!"

Visit Restaurant Page"Many travels that I have had and the many states which I have traveled there has been one place that has the highest amount of Gelato served at the most locations right when you walk in the door. The one place where can you go and have a great time and listen to the many bells and the alarms that go as soon as a player pulls the metal arm that is sitting next to you? Think hard there are some clues which stands out in the explanation that was given for those that have been to a place where you can have fun. There is one place where many have gone to the many places you can get drinks and the food for some great lunch and the coldest desert that you can eat and get in the many different flavors Las Vegas style that is right is freshly made Gelato they have in several hotels and the resorts they have on the strip. Gelato one of the most popular type deserts to taste the flavors of the European Gelatos that is the most incredible taste and the sweetest. The one thing that I have discovered there are many ice creams and the special sherberts which have the much sweeter of the fruits and creams the one thing that Gelato has the natural flavor and the flavor that you can eat with any of the special food and have with glass of wine. The time I had to get to walk through the mall with the light rain and to see the Gelato it was one place that got my eye having the one taste that brought back Las Vegas and the many flavors they had also matched some of the ones at Milkissimo Gelato. With the location they have is in the perfect place with the theater that is nearby with the restaurants that you can have a drink at or have a great dinner Gelato is one desert that is great with so many things where you can find flavors of the Orange Cannoli great flavor with the flavor of the orange and the taste of the cannoli with many flavors of coffee and the sweet tastes o0f the many chocolates. Located in the middle of the mall you can take your date and a sweet treat to enjoy together in the evening you can take home a pint and share together. Gelato is one desert is one desert that can be combined with many things with the creamy taste the fresh fruit where can you find black cherry that is made fresh daily with the fresh juice of the dark cherries it one you can put down. As a Yelp Elite Reviewer the many times that I have had gelato it is one desert that you can taste the purity and the flavors of the desert for those that like to try the Ultimate French Desert this is the one. You may find places which have certain flavors where can you find the flavors of the European tastes and the purity is the best only at Mission Valley Mall. The desert that I had is one of the best when you have one you have to have another."
"Returned one year later to an even more delicious gelato / affogato experience than I remembered. With their five star service and passion for their craft, this place is a diamond in the rough."
"Brew Wave has quickly become one of my fave coffee shops in San Diego! I am a customer of the Ocean Beach Business Center down the hall so initially I stopped in for a coffee out of locational convenience (yes, ok, the delicious coffee smells lured me in), but now I buy coffee here because I genuinely love it. They have tons of great options on the menu, but my go-to is a vanilla latte and they make a really good one. It's not too sweet and the temp is always perfect (I like 'em hot). Hungry? They got food options as well as lots of baked goods and smoothies. And the staff is always really friendly (not the snooty kind you can get at some of those other coffee shops...). Coffee shops are a dime a dozen in SD, but if you're looking for friendly service and a great cup, don't skip out on Brew Wave!"
"Husband found this gelato place and we swung by yesterday for a visit. Very limited parking but we found a spot right out front. We did some tastings and ended up getting the Quad, which is 4 flavors:1) pear2) strawberry cream3) pistachio4) sugar free hazelnut Every flavor tasted great; with our favorite being the refreshing pear . This has now become our go to gelato place if we are ever back in the SD area. Yum!! Price was reasonable at $7+ for the 4 flavors. We also orders a green tea boba 24 oz but the tapioca pearls were a bit soggy and not chewy enough. We will stick to their gelato next time and skip any boba drinks!"
"This place is so fun!The pizza is great, lots of selections, fresh ingredients, and the perfect size.Really affordable for such great quality. The gelato is delicious as well, we go the yogurt and berries and the saffron vanilla. Both were full of flavor and had a perfect texture. The owner was super nice and helpful, he allowed us to try a couple different flavors of the gelato.Make sure to try the pizza with hot honey, it's so delicious!!Definitely a great spot"
"An's Hatmakers is the second location of An's Dry Cleaning, the highly-rated handcrafted gelato maker in North Park. We finally tried An's Hatmakers recently after having lunch in Del Mar. The small shop was packed with customers, but our wait was less than five minutes to be served. There were only three gelato flavors that day: Visor (roasted pistachio), Hard Hat (cold brewed espresso), and Clay (Nutella brownie). We tried all three. The gelato tasted great and had a smooth, creamy texture. Nut flavors were clear and pronounced. At $6.25 for a small cup, An's is pricey.Counter service was helpful and friendly. Limited seating indoors and on street-side patio. Park on street or in Del Mar Plaza garage."
"Service and delivery were good and on time. Pizza was good and so were the sandwiches. Boneless buffalo wings were delicious. We would be return customers here."

We were walking somewhere else in PB for a quick bite and got tired of walking when we passed this spot. Figured a crepe and gelato might hit the spot - and it did!First- this place is adorable! The music was a vibe too. Service was friendly and as quick as it could be with only one person working the night I visited (they weren't crowded, don't worry.) It was delicious- I had a nibble of my friend's gelato which I enjoyed as well! Glad we changed up our plans and came here instead!

I discovered this place just a couple days ago when I heard they would have zeppole for San Giuseppe, which are hard to find in North County. It is nestled in a corner of a pretty big shopping center in Carlsbad, I was running a bit behind to pick up my order and pleasantly surprised to hear an Italian accent from the woman on the phone so, I switched to Italian- a big bonus for me because I don't often get to use my Italian when I am out and about here in the US. She was so kind, even though I was behind schedule today for my order, and just wanted to remind me in case I forgot my order.Once I got there, the bakery had so many things; sfogliatella, cakes, what looked like maybe an Easter grain pie; I wish I took a closer look but I needed to get home with the zeppole. I also ordered myself a sandwich which I ate in the car and it was delicious. Oh man, was it delicious! I honestly haven't had anything THIS fresh since Italy last summer.I will be back, because I want to eat everything and I can actually order here in Italian.

My son and I really needed a late night hit of ice cream or gelato. While we were walking around Mission Valley, which is a super cool area of San Diego. By the way we came upon Milkissimo. The people that were here are so happy and kind! They made choosing ice cream really fun by letting us have taste samples and just being super friendly and funny. We decided to get a small but we could choose two flavors so we got vanilla stracchili and the salted caramel. It cost $7. The texture of the gelato was so lovely. I highly recommend going there!

Quite a long line on summer evenings. The serving size is a bit small for the price but they have a lot of tasty gelato options. I had chocolate and amaretto flavors in a cup and really enjoyed it. Pretty big patio to sit down and eat which is nice.

We walked by this cute place and decided to give it a try and we were happy we did! Such a cute store with a pizza station, coffee shop and a gelato corner. We liked how they sold pizza by the slice so we got a few to try. The pizza isn't your typical pizza base, it's more like a focaccia bread base and it was really good. We had the sausage mushroom, the artichoke and also the eggplant one. Eggplant was a little undercooked but the other 2 were great! If you're looking for a quick bite, definitely check them out.

Was it worth the hype? Not really. BUT, it was nice to finally try this location after they won the vote. The line was long (out to Tamarindo restaurant). They had two people scooping today. There is a/c inside but it's a wall unit so it's still hot and stuffy inside as the front door remained open. Our scooper was Tiden. He alone is worth 5 stars as he was sooo welcoming, patient, and helpful. He suggested the Palate Cleanser tour (?) which was a free sample of ALL their offerings. We appreciated this, as did others, as why not especially standing in line on a hot day :) Tiden, you rock!I personally found the flavors very sweet. Even the mango as well as the strawberry sorbets. Not sure if they add extra+ sugar or how much but the sweetness was a bit much. I opted for the Espresso/Cold Brew and Nutella/Brownies. Cousins got their two flavors in a house made waffle cone. They both said gelato was nice but they've had better in San Diego. I didn't pay so can't attest to the price but the serving size seemed good. I'd revisit to try other flavors if I was in the area and there wasn't a line.
Visit Restaurant Page"Was walking around the area and stopped by Portside for gelato on a weekday afternoon. We were welcomed in by the sweet gals working and ordered 2 small cups of gelato, one pistachio and one strawberry. It was super cheap for both and they had quite a few flavors. They also have coffee, pastries and other drinks available. The gelato had great flavor but the pistachio was a bit gritty. Not sure if it was the actual pistachio but the flavors on both were really great! Overall a nice stop for a quick cool treat!"
"UPDATE.Was on a pizza hiatus from this place and I'm glad to be back. My first review of this place was when it first opened. I've been here countless of times for my pizza crave. But then the last visit (back in 2022) I refrained my business due to the fly issues inside the restaurant. Recap: there use to be a ton of flies, stepping on the pizza as you order, I had brought this to the staffs attention and got no kind of response. I messaged their IG account and was left on read. No response. I have returned after a 2-yr hiatus and saw a door screen - which does prevent those pesky flies from coming in and stepping all over the pizza! That made me happy. PIZZA tasted nearly the same but something about the quality went a little down. I ordered my two usual and they didn't wow me as they use to. In addition, I asked "no oil on the pizza" (they always add oil on the pizza after warming it up and serving) and they didn't listen. I got oil on my pizza. Still a good pizza, I love the crust and the variety of flavors. Gelato is amazing here. Quality just fell a hair short in my opinion."
"I scream. you scream, we all scream... for gelato! I prefer gelato over ice cream any day. The owner waited on us. He was patient letting us try a few samples. The guy before us took his time and ended up not getting any and the owner was totally chill. We each ordered a scoop and truly enjoyed out experience. This place seems to be popular with the university students as a large study group had just left. I was perusing the vast array of beautiful desserts displayed. Not all are baked on the premises but nonetheless look amazing. If I'm back in town, l'll definitely drop in again."
"This is a new pizza shop at the Torrey Gardens apartment complex in Torrey Hills. It's fairly close to where I work so I visited after leaving the office recently. Parking near the business was limited to less than 10 spaces. I think there may be more spots available behind the building, but then you have to walk up to the front NE corner where Criscito Pizza is located. There were two entrances to the shop. I noticed the inside seating was limited to a few tables.A little over a dozen 12" pizza varieties were offered in either Neapolitan style or NY style. Five types of salad and six rotating flavors of gelato rounded out the food menu. I placed an online order ahead of time for a Neapolitan style Calabrian pizza which was cut into six pieces. The toppings were sausage, fresh mozzarella, calabrian peppers, garlic, grana, tomato sauce, extra virgin olive oil, and fresh basil. The preparation time was estimated to take 20 minutes, and the carryout box was sitting there ready when I arrived. The leafy green was missing as a topping for my pie, however that was minor. The flavor of the pizza was good with mild spiciness from the peppers. I do think it was a tad pricey ($21) for the size, although I do understand that quality ingredients were used like the homemade mozzarella."
"Finally Solana beach has a fantastic and legit spot for gelato. Its perfect treat after a day at the beach or as a dessert after dinner or just because. The place is small yet clean and there is seating outside. Plenty of flavors to pick from and i was told they rotate and add new flavors weekly. For me gelato is all about fresh fruits and berries, so I've tried their tropical and mixed berries flavors and it didn't disappoint. Creamy, not overly sweet and packs so much flavor. For kids there are a few choices with chocolate and for more "adult" flavors i noticed coffee, amaretto, cinnamon and a few others i can't recall. There are also sugar free options. Stop by and check out this little gelato gem"
"Talk about a birthday cake! I recently had a friend come over with a box of treats from Figaro to celebrate my birthday. I have the biggest sweet tooth and loved every bite. And wow- I was absolutely blown away by the presentation! I really liked the little lemon and mango mousse cakes. The chocolate berry cake was practically INHALED."
"The gelato here is really stellar and the service is super friendly. I got a passionfruit chocolate and had them add their expresso to it and it was amazing. The expresso is really tasty. The two together was again, stellar. Definitely give this place a try if you're in the mall."
"Oooooh, this was a place we stumbled upon after grabbing some baked goods a building over - and I only wish I had a freezer in my hotel room. Gelatolove makes incredible frozen treats - inventive flavors and amazing quality. This is where they make all the flavors, and they've got a small counter where you can buy scoops or pints to go. (I think they've got another location that's just a scoop shop.) The gal behind the counter encouraged us to try many samples, and everything was great. We had a struggle to narrow it to three flavors for our large cup, and went with their incredible cherry gelato (with imported cherries), pistachio (stunning!) and my all-time favorite, passionfruit. Everything was so good and I would love to stock my freezer at home with them, but I live a few hundred miles away. ;)"
"My friend and I stopped here to grab a little Gelato before getting dinner at Ketch upstairs. There was a bit of a wait because it was a Saturday at Seaport Village; however, the line went quickly. After looking over the flavors, my friend and I both decided on getting two scoops of gelato; one "Cookies & Cream" scoop and one "Mocha Chocolate Chip" scoop. The gelato was divine; smooth and creamy and worth the price. All in all, Portside Gelato is a nice little place for a treat while hanging out in Seaport Village."
"the service started when we first walked in, welcomed with a smile and politely answering all of our questions. i'm not sure his name but this guy made sure my friend and i got what we wanted whether it was recommending what he thought was best or splitting up the pizza even though technically it wasn't on the menu. the seating arrangements was nice, beautiful whether perfect for a nice table outside. the food came quickly and it tasted good. the crust was crispy and the cheese melted in my mouth. very good i would recommend"
"FUN STOP ! On Tuesday my wife and I had one of our regular dates with our 2 young grand daughters. After our little tour of The Agua Hedionda Lagoon Discovery Center not far way we headed over here to treat the girls to some gelato. We walked inside around 2pm. Each of them picked out 2 flavors in a small sugar cone...delicious enough to put a big happy smile on their faces !NOTE - Of course with 20 million views of my Yelp reviews and pics world wide in 2023 I can tell you what is great !"
"Good solid pizza option in the sorrento valley/miramar area.Tried the buffalo chicken. Tried the pepperoni. Was so good, went and got another slice.Cons: Parking can be a problem during lunch in this strip mall since there are other food places as well"
"Amazing amazing and amazing! Nowhere else will you be able to really get true fruit flavors into gelato. The pear is probably the best flavored gelato I have ever had. It's just like eating a real pear, just in frozen form. love to pair it with the stracciattella to add a few chocolate chips along with it. It's so so good! The Mixed Berry is another favorite that I add to a scoop of lemon gelato. I love that you can have 2 different flavors in the small cup. There will always be a new Chef's special listed, and I usually like to get a sample to taste, unless they have the Pear flavor. Cuz I can't not get that one when it's available. Yes, anytime I'm anywhere near the Coronado Island area, I have to take the trip over the bridge for a cup of the best gelato."
"Came here this past Saturday during comic con weekend. Decided to finally come by and see what the hype is all about. Husband waited in line for 15 min and we got 2 flavors. Blue camomile - an interesting flavor Burlap - decent Ice cream was good and tastes homemade, but not sure why the huge rave is about. Hard to find street parking!"
