"The food (the biscuit) I had was delicious! So yummy! The service from Grayson was TOP NOTCH! So kind and knowledgeable of me sharing my taste buds and him providing an excellent recommendation! Thank you! It's a great, local coffee shop that's female owned and I loved the decor! Really nice! Can't wait to return!"
"Super friendly "mom and pop" donut shop tucked away in a small plaza in the farthest corner of Mira Mesa Blvd, in the same plaza as Loving Hut.The parking lot is small and can get very busy around mealtimes.Pro tip: The plaza below is connected to this one via a staircase. So if it's packed here, you can drive down to the adjacent plaza to park there and walk up the concrete staircase to get your daily steps in and offset the donut calories. Haha!Anywho, this is a donut shop review so I should actually write about donuts right?!I would categorize this as a traditional donut shop. Service is friendly and not pushy. They serve tasty and fresh donuts.I have visited multiple times and ordered different donuts and can report I have not taken home a single stale or yucky donut yet. Yay!They offer a selection of about a dozen traditional donuts and donut holes, with a daily special donut usually available.I should note that this shop also sells coffee and bottled drinks. In the corner of the shop there is a small set of old school vending machines, with gum balls, stickers and toys.My girls were delighted to discover they sold "Happy Bunny" stickers featuring a set of words to create your own custom sarcastic message. There are several tables set up inside that are well-spaced, if that is a concern. Just outside, there is a bench and a table. It's a bit of a drive for me to visit, but the donuts from this shop are the same ones we would eat after attending mass in person so there's a nostalgic factor to it for us. And happy memories help make happy kids."
Choice of flavor. Add boba and milk substitution for an additional charge.

Unassuming from the street, we were wondering whether we should really go in or go back to our usual place, which has decent donuts but nothing to write home about.I am so glad we went in to Crispy's. The dough here is light, fluffy and absolutely delicious. The bear claw was amazing and my family enjoyed their donut holes, pink frosted donut and apple fritter. They say you can't judge a book by its cover. Guess you also can't judge a donut shop by its storefront."
"The most adorable little coffee stand hidden inside Balboa Park! This place is such a hidden gem but it deserves so much more love. The environment is absolutely gorgeous -- so colorful and cheerful -- and the drinks are amazing as well! I got a strawberry horchata latte. I probably could've done without the coffee (it was my second caffeinated drink of the day), but it was still delicious and perfectly sweet. The workers here are so friendly and kind!Highly recommend stopping here for a midday drink if you're touring the area! You won't regret it :)"
"Super nice donut place next to Clairemont Coffee. I grabbed a bagel with cream cheese and avocado before my meeting. It was so delicious!!! I love the heat up the bagel, it's crunchy outside and soft inside. Also they put a lot of cream cheese and avocado inside. While I was eating there, a lot of people come in to buy donuts in a Thursday afternoon, I bet their donuts are delicious."
"It was ok. The donuts were average. The layout of the store makes it challenging to see what donuts are available when there are multiple people there. Another group was being helped and standing in front of the counter but the guy was trying to take our order before we had made it close enough to view much. It was also very difficult to hear anything he was saying. It was loud in there and he was very soft spoken. Coffee was average as well."
"I always enjoy a good doughnut shop and I doughnut food truck is just an added bonus! I ran into Herb'n Donuts at the Quartyard in East Village San Diego and I had already eaten but was looking forward to something sweet so I ordered the gluten free doughnut holes with a side of sage and passion fruit sauce. The order came with six holes with a nice amount of granulated sugar and a touch of cinnamon. As gluten free products go, these doughnut were quite successful. They were slightly doughy, which I don't mind at all, but for the moist part they were soft, moist, and fluffy pillows of goodness. They came with a great light brown color on the outside and with a golden light color on the inside. Passion fruit and sage sauce was the perfect partner for these little pillows of heaven. The sauce was full flavored passion fruit with overtones of sage. I liked that it was not overly sweet and offered a good creamy viscosity that coated the doughnut holes well after dipping. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that even gluten free products can be this good."
"Simple but solid spot for some donuts and coffee.I swung by Monday morning right at 9am and they were ready to serve customers.I went with the Guava Maria donut and an iced Cafe de olla + horchata. The donut was flufft and soft, filled with guava jam and whipped cream, topped with icing and a maria cookie. The jam and top icing wasn't too sweet and tasted good, my only wish was that there wasn't whipped cream inside since it's just there as a filler, and the cookie being stuck in half way got soggy. I know it's only one cookie and only half of it was soggy, but I still would've liked a full cooked laid on top!The coffee was outstanding though! Smooth and slightly sweet cafe de olla with the rich and milky horchata. A solid mixture and great way to start the morning"
"Im such fan of this old school donut shop . The donuts are very fresh and very delicious. You're not going to find unique and overpriced Donuts here . However, you will find classic donuts you grew up eating that are above average in quality and in taste . Their apple fritter is without a doubt one of the best I've ever eaten . What makes theirs standout is they are generous with apple . I think they make the perfect apple fritter . Im also a big fan of the staff . They're so sweet and funny . I enjoy seeing them ."
"Mini donuts churned out fresh from their unique assembly-line apparatus! Last night, they were in front of the Barrio Logan Flea Market. After passing their truck once, then just smelling the doughy goodness across the street on our way back, I felt super impulsive and ran back across to secure me some d-nuts. For $7 you get a small bag of fresh mini D's with a choice of a single flavor, if you do so choose. There wasn't a menu, but the guy just sounded them all off. I chose something simple in the form of cinnamon sugar, but there had to have been at least 7 other flavors (sorry, can't remember them all). Oreo also stood out to me. A bit steep for a bag of mini D's, but SO good, fresh, and moist! If you think about it, one of them designer donuts is $2-3 each, which is equivalent in size to the bag of mini D's you get. Glad to have stumbled upon them regardless!"
"If you are into enjoying pretty decorated donuts and are in the La Jolla area, give this place a visit. So much has changed since your local neiborhood bakery of yesteryear as a kid or enjoying Hostess Twinkies or Loves donuts from the super market. The decorating colors are brighter, bolder and even more prettily embellished. Voodoo Donuts in Oregon or Krispy Kreme in Maui or Malasadas in Kapahulu... old time favorites now have another entry in the pastry scene.Doc bought a box of 6. Different with catchy names. Mine had the prettiest topping with mini marshmallow, teeny tiny chocolate curls and two types of chocolate. The taste: very sweet so I picked at the frosting and the good thing, the texture of the donut was so light and soft- the best part.Just like cupcakes hit the bakery scene years ago, donuts are the new kid that's trendy and may be in demand."
"Family run business and located in a shopping complex across from Mesa College on one side and Starbucks on the other street. Came here to get some donuts and coffee. Ended up with a couple muffins, apple fritter and glazed donuts. This place is open early and they are still busy in the back making donuts. This place is super super busy, we sat in the parking lot to eat our scrumptious and rich breakfast... amd watched all the customers come.and go with boxes full of donuts.. i did order the Vietnamese coffee but it was too strong for me and I gave it to my SO to finish. The apple fritter was moist and delicious. My son didn't care to much for the glazed donuts but enjoyed the muffins. A bit on the pricer side, but that is the inflation."

Just discovered this cute coffee shop right around the corner of my house. I was really excited to try it out. Great coffee selection and lots of options. Pastries are delicious. Had a bread pudding while I had my coffee there. Really enjoyed my coffee and the chill ambiance. It's cute, chic, "instagram picture"kind of coffee shop but the most important thing is that the coffee tastes great too. Definitely coming back tomorrow lol and possibly every day before work.

Luckys, Deli, and Donuts is a hidden gem amidst the chaos of life - a delightful concoction of savory sandwiches, flaky croissants, and divine donuts that'll make you question why you ever bothered with kale smoothies. Walking into Luckys, I stumbled upon a scene straight out of a sitcom: a worker leisurely enjoying breakfast, only to spring into action at the mere mention of my sandwich order. It was like watching a culinary superhero transform from mild-mannered muncher to ham, egg, and cheese champion in the blink of an eye. He was sooo nice!! The ham, egg, and cheese croissant? Let's just say it was a symphony of oozing cheesy goodness, crispy buttery perfection, and warm embrace that made my taste buds do a happy dance. As for the donuts? Well, let's just say they disappeared faster than my willpower at a dessert buffet. And the best part? Despite my indecisive dawdling at 11 in the morning, Luckys still boasted a bountiful selection of donuts, as if the universe itself conspired to ensure my sugar cravings were satisfied. All of this gastronomic bliss came at a steal - less than $30 for a feast fit for a foodie king: two bags of chips, two breakfast sandwiches, a half dozen donuts, and a cup of milk!

Tried Crispy's for the first time last weekend and wow. They are delicious. I got a dozen with a wide variety. The service was fast and he even threw an extra donut and some donut holes. This will be the new donut spot we frequent.

Got a smoothie large fruit smoothie for $8.25 (small for $7+). Uses frozen fruit and was pretty good, though a bit sweet for me. In the Spanish Art Village, which is very cute and colorful. Some small tables around the courtyard, but not a ton of shade. I don't like that there's absolutely no menu with prices. Don't like the lack of transparency. Don't know if it's reasonably priced or if my latte will be $7, you know? It makes it awkward for a patron to have to ask how much something is before ordering. Not good practice

We love this place. The donuts are amazing and the bagels are really good too. The staff are super nice and sometimes throw in some donut holes for us since we frequent the shop. Highly recommend for good quality, fresh treats.

Great, local, family run donut spot. They nail all the classics, with my favorite being the standard chocolate bar, but they also ply the more trendy options (cronuts and different toppings and such).Their sandwiches shouldn't be overlooked either, simple and greasy croissants, but a great complement to get some sweet and salty together.

I might be the only non-friend / family member to write a review for this truck. The owner is a very passionate guy, but perhaps he needs to work on his business model if he wants to survive the competitive food truck business. The compelling reason to try this truck are their yogurt donut balls (Yo-Nuts). But it's their homemade sauces that separate themselves from other trucks. The main problem with Herb'n donuts is that they don't really sell sheets of donuts. They sell either donut holes or a large donut that's gussied up like a gourmet burger. Their individual donuts are yeast made and are not flavorful, but they put a lot of toppings on/inside. At $7-8 bucks each it's not really worth it. Back to the Yo-Nuts. Those are incredible and with their sauces, they'll make you want to follow this truck. - Everything is made to order. That's generally not good for a food truck. Food truck connoisseurs want interesting food, fast. It's okay to do prep work and have some stuff ready to go. - They need to focus on those Yo-Nuts ans sauces... That's the winner.

Visit Restaurant Page"After having lunch nearby, my friend and I walked over here to grab some boba drinks. I opted for the taro one and they got a coffee? flavored one. The drinks were icy and refreshing! I think they are known more for their donuts, so maybe I'll try a few next time!"
"Great donuts, super fresh and delicious. They are open on the weekends Friday- Sunday at the little miss brewing tasting room. I'm so happy normal heights now has a donut shop."
"Double Thumbs UP for these scrumptious donuts! They serve UBE glazed donuts here, and my goodness are they yummy! Will return for mo' suga'!"
"Good Good Good Doughnuts! Or do you spell it "donuts?" It's all good with me, as long as the Butter Milk Bars and Old Fashion Doughnuts are as great as they are here at Miss Donuts.I picked up a Chocolate and Sugar Glazed Butter Milk Bars and a Old Fashion with a maple frosting. They all tasted great, but what I liked the best is that they all had that crusty crust from the frying and soft center. Another words, they all had nice texture. Great butter milk bars and old fashion doughnuts. The you couple running the shop are both very nice."
"Great Donuts and Friendly Service. I love coming here at 5am and grabbing a freshly made donut"
"I'm totally into these donuts! They were so fresh! There was the perfect amount of filling in them. The donut holes just melted in our mouths. I'll definitely be back!"
"Owned by the SDCM Restaurant Group behind Kettner Exchange Devil's Dozen debuted in 2015, a Little Italy address predictably generating lines that the shop's limited size continues to struggle with now.Narrow across the alley from KEX, a single window beneath the rooftop patio in charge of selling fried Dough plus elaborate Lattes to the Soy or Oat Milk crowd, guests can expect to wait, wait and wait some more while one guest has their whole six-drink order prepared even though others just desiring Pastries could easily be addressed in the meantime.Thirty minutes to move three orders, the online ordering system never once operational across two days, those with persistence will find the Donuts themselves mostly-well constructed, the raised options light and springy regardless of toppings while the Old Fashioned is unfortunately a bit dry.Prone to frequent change, Gluten-free choices available on weekends for those feigning an allergy, do consider the "Cosmic Brownie" if available as the Brioche ring marries semi-cooked Batter to airy Whipped Cream and Sprinkles."
"A bizarro world where your ice cream cone is turned upside down and filled with Nutella and soft serve. Oh and your cone is a freshly waffledFish. Yes I am here for this. It's a Korean thing. Not that I'm Korean just 100% cultural appropriating. I have crazy respect for the culture and cuisine and this joint is a fun and yummy neighborhood gem. My professional advice to you, Grab yourself a fish filled with custard and sweet cream skip the toppings."
"Yes, the doughnut are delicious. I had a butter milk bar, chocolate bar filled with vanilla cream, and a butter croissant. Both doughnuts were great. The croissant I reheated later at home and used it to make a sandwich. They offer basic drip coffee and hot chocolate. The lady behind the counter was nice. They share the building with Ali's Fried Chicken & Waffles, so you can get your fried chicken and doughnuts at the same time!"
"Definitely a solid choice for a donut. I didn't think they were anything out of this world, but they definitely weren't bad; maybe just a bit overhyped. The cake-y donuts were way better than the yeast-y ones. One small complaint - we ordered a white cream filled donut (as seen in the pic) but it was actually custard filled. Bit of a bummer but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ it was still good. The ambience here is also not it... definitely plan to just take these to go."
"One of my favorite, donut shops! I will drive 30 minutes just to have the donuts here. They're always freshly baked. There are a variety of flavors to choose from. I personally love the peanut butter and jelly. They're a little bit expensive but it's a nice treat to have. They have a little parking lot you can park in or there's street parking right in the front. I found Street parking right in the front on a Sunday morning. There was already a few people inside, sitting down having their donut and coffee. I walked in ordered at the counter paid, and left very easy, definitely will come back."
"Happened to stumble on this hidden gem on my way home from work this morning and so glad I did! The donuts are so fresh and tasty! The business is clean, and I even noticed kids toys for younger children. Staff was friendly and quick to meet me at the counter to take my order. Delicious all around - highly recommend!"
"Manuela Malasada & Coffee Co., is the new hot spot located in a strip mall National City off Plaza Blvd. Parking can be challenging at times depending when you go as there are many other business in the same location. It's a MUST to try this location out! I believe this spot used to be HomeStyle Hawaiian and I'm hearing the rumor that the wife of the owner of HomeStyle Hawaiian is running this business. She is doing everything RIGHT when it comes to these malasadas!! Watch out Mochinut...cause Malasadas are taking over the block! Customer service was good. Malasadas were made fresh to order! Ours came out piping hot and stuffed with the fillings we chose. According to the cashier they've only been open for about a month. They have lots of flavors to choose from as well as a flavor of the month. They are not cheap but, they are worth every penny! It's the quality not the quantity with this place and the quality is top notch! Side note...they ONLY ACCEPT CASH!We ordered a 6pk and it was around $18 and some change. We ordered 3 regular and 3 filled and they are huge in size. I think it was like $1 extra for the filled ones.We had:3 regular malasadas (sugar coated) - AMAZINGNutella filled - AMAZINGCreme brulee filled - AMAZINGLilikoi filled - Not a fan honestly on this flavorWe will definitely be back to try all their different flavors!"
"Everytime I come here, all the staff have smiles on and are both kind and helpful. And of course the price, quality, and flavor of the donuts are great!"
"CASH ONLY.I repeat, CASH ONLY! But they have an atm inside. This donut spot is a bit pricey with a dozen coming in at $15. But customer service is great. The lady added two extra donuts for me because I had to use the atm and didn't realize it was cash only. Very sweet because she didn't have to do that! The donuts a good size. They have all of your basics. Not too much to complain about. Aside from two gentlemen talking about which political leader was going to die next because they're old or belonged to a particular party.....my experience was very pleasant :) lol."
"Mr. Amalo has a warm and inviting personality. Amalo's is tucked in near the library entrance behind one of the big beautiful trees. If you are walking, or across the street at the park or the library, it's a local business worthy of support. You can get coffee, of course, donuts and cold drinks. If you wanted a quick bite, the cart does have noodles. There are two seating tables and chairs to enjoy your coffee break. The area is shaded and serene all year. Alongside the library boardwalk are cemented benches with honorary plaques. I ordered a vanilla chai latte with coffee and actually it was balanced and yummy.By the way, if you Yelp check-in you get a .50 donut"
"Cute little cafe that mainly serves drinks and desserts. Plenty of parking. We came here to get some shaved ice. Patbingsoo Shaved Ice $16various fruits, red bean, mochi, fruity pebbles, condensed milk, grain powder, and vanilla soft serve - We got this to share as a family. Definitely too much for one person. We all loved everything about this except the fruity pebbles made it extra sweet. Our toddler loved the fruity pebbles - win win for everyone. The have board games and self serve water. I noticed a lot of people sitting here to study or work. Unisex restroom in the back. Really love the decor here."
"During this Christmas time is the many places that where you go you see the many baked goods and the many places that have such great hot baked items that can warm your nights with some nice hot chocolate or a nice hot coffee what's warm doughnuts without hot coffee. There are some places that just have the regular meeting place where you can go and sit down at the bar at the front to enjoy fresh baked goods usually doughnuts. When you come to a bakery shop that you can come ibn and look over the many items, they have from the freshly made doughnuts and the freshly made bread and the sweet breads that are from the pinks and the golden browns. The many baked goods that you see there are some of the best Ingredients and the many flavors that you taste are some of the many that are made fresh daily. The feeling that you get when you go to Sammys Bakery is the down-home old-style bakery where you see the many trays being wheeled out cooling in the main store lobby that you smell when you arrive at the store. From Fresh Baked Bread and the many cakes that are made for the local kid's birthdays you see in the front display counter you can see the many creations of the tamales and the Flans that Sammys create for the bakery. The many places that you come across in the many states you find the many down-home bakeries that make some of the best creations not many places can you go to and buy fresh bread that has just come out of the oven the sweetest thing is warm bread and real butter with jam. Bakeries like Sammys brin g back so many memories and the sweet creations you can get from the fresh baked cookies and one of the many places that make freshly made tortillas. The many creations which are created at Sammys are some of the best the fresh Ingredients and the long hours that it takes to make the baked items and the sweet treats which so many like. To think back is that when you had driven up dairies where you could go buy the many things from milk and Ice Cream and butter and the Ice Cream bars that the owner would give for the many families. Sammys is one place that is a place where you can go and see the many bakery goods and walk about the store looking and choosing the ones that you like the feelings is like being like a kid. Located in the Encanto Area with the many neighborhoods that are nearby I see many that come by and buy baked goods for church and house parties. As a yelp reviewer the many times I have gone to Sammys Bakery the welcoming feel of the store and the smell of the bakery is so good to know they have been baking and creating the many magical deserts. The feel of the store feels like one big family the bread racks and the display shelves give you a full view of the many deserts that are there with so many great deserts the feel of great baked deserts the feeling of family."
"Much better than the mochinut that was here before. Their donuts are all so good. I always love the original glaze. My other favorite things are their bobas. They even have Vietnamese coffee which is delicious."
"Leucadia Donut Shoppe is one of the funky businesses at the soul of the city. The family owned small business resides in a tiny mason building with a huge mural on the west wall. This business is a treasure that is loved by the locals who flock here, cash in hand to purchase their freshly made daily bounty. Donut shoppes have been disappearing along the coast and Solana Beach donuts was replaced by a hipster cafe. The Encinitas Donuts location is now a hair salon, and it is sad to see them disappear. I seldom eat donuts, and I wish I liked them more so that I could send more love to this special business. My only request would be for Almond bear claws instead of apple ones."
"Definitely a dessert that's on trend right now, it's great that it opened up in Chula Vista! Think donuts with the chewiness of mochi. I believe the flavors change weekly, but honestly, i dont think the each unique flavor is all the powerful.. they all taste the same to me. Lol. Anyways, you order at the counter and the wait really depends. One visit was busy and we waited about 15 mins. Our second visit was quick and our donuts were ready right away. A unique, sweet dessert worth checking out"
"It's opened at 5 AM, ordering fresh donuts about $16 for one dozen varieties, also they sell coffee and sandwiches, perfect for an office meeting, everyone loves this place and I came see why, definitely come back for more in the future"
