"Good experience here and good vibes. Came in on a Thursday afternoon randomly because we were in the area. Lots of tables for a smaller-sized front of house, good seating arrangement. We had the grilled swordfish plate and the grilled halibut plate. Both were fresh and seasoned well. Not shy on the spices and herbs here! Brussels as a side is a must do. Overall very healthy and good size portions. Pricing was reasonable at an average of $25 for a grilled seafood plate with two sides. The server was really nice and attentive. She wasn't fake-nice either, more like, down-to-earth nice. Made the experience that much better. Very chill vibes."
"We came here on a Wednesday around 5:30 pm and it was pretty dead (Padres game had started at 5:30). I loved the homey casual vibe and that it has large doors open so it is well ventilated. I loved their Mango michelada and the food was surprisingly delicious! I had the pretzel bites which were pillowy soft (and baby approved) and the brisket sandwich on a toasted baguette. The meat was tender and flavorful with the Chimichurri sauce and pickled onions. My baby loved the mac and cheese! When it was just us, they forgot the pretzel bites so we had to go remind them. Otherwise, service was friendly and attentive."

Once again, yelp came with some great recommendations nearby. This place was clean and the service was great as we were seated right away and got our food in a timely manner. The eggrolls are a must get appetizer. The chicken pho was a surprise, because the broth was stronger than other places I have tried. On a rainy, cloudy day, this really hit the spot.My kids got the slushy drink for five dollars and they were kind enough to put it in two cups. I think we found a new place to go for noodles and eggrolls."
"Definitely a sold 4 stars. Food is delicious although super pricey. Service is a hit or miss depending on the server you get. Came here twice over a course of a year and we did enjoy the food. They do have happy hour M-F in the afternoon but the food menu is very limited to only flatbread. The dinner menu is pretty extensive but also very expensive. We ordered a burger and the meatloaf, both were very delicious. Cooked well, tender and not too dry. For the burger, I really loved the sweet tater tots, I could eat a whole basket of that! Dessert was incredible! Service was attentive the first time we went but the second time was super spotty with a different server. Parking is easy and the bathroom are clean."
"Awesome spot to try out Mediterranean Lebanese food in San Diego.3 of us ordered:-chicken tawook-Sayyadieh (Fisherman's Rice)-Ouzi LambChicken tawook (flatbread) was extremely tasty and very unique. The other two items were their top 2 most popular dishes (rice dishes). The flavors were great! If it is a small group, I would recommend only picking one of the rice dishes so you don't carb overload.Food definitely comes out a bit on the slower end. For the value, I did wish they provided more food. Staff is friendly. Owners/chefs made their ways around tables to check in. I'll be back for sure to try out different items on their menu!Extremly limited parking out front...otherwise, street parking."
"My husband and I have been here several times for a quick dinner and drinks. Depending on how busy they are, the service can vary. All of the staff we've encountered are very friendly and helpful, but I think that they can benefit from having more front house staff. The food menu is very well priced and I also encourage people to check the specials menu. Portion size is also fairly large considering the prices, which is a great bonus! The crowd here is very casual and sometimes the live music/karaoke can be fun to watch. There's a good selection of beers on tap and a full bar available. Inside and outside seating options are great for small or large groups."
"A MUST stop to eat at. The spices and flavors are authentic to New Orleans cuisine. Owner/Chef is from the Bayou. The menu is not overpowering. It highlights New Orleans dishes very well. Manager Ollie, servers Anna and Josh, the whole team are fantastic! You're welcomed. Very comfortable. It's the California 3C's; Casual, Cool and Comfortable! You know Guy Fierri filmed Diners, Drives and Dives and loves the food at the establishment"
"Price point and portions are great here. Three item combo with pancit, sisig, and adobo ran me about $16. Nothing too fancy about this place as it is a simple sit down restaurant or take out. The food itself was good Filipino eating."
"This place was recommended by some locals so I finally had a chance to try out their food. I ordered the following ...*Fried Shrimp PoBoyHand battered and fried shrimp, lettuce, tomato, house-made classic or spicy Remoulade sauce on a toasted roll.*Seafood MeltSeared shrimp and scallops, provolone, classic or spicy cabbage slaw on toasted sourdough.*Tuna MeltParmesan crusted sourdough, tuna salad,Swiss cheeseAnd ordered sides too... *onion rings and hush puppies The food was delicious and flavorful. Good size portions perfect for sharing. Shaylee was at the register and she was very sweet and helpful. I will definitely be back to try other items on the menu!!!"

Really loved this little hole in the wall. The decor was fun, fish and chips 5/5, Cajun fish tacos 3/5, clam chowder 4/5, service 4/5. There is a lot to like about this little spot and so much on the menu I will be coming back for more!

Stumbled upon this place after the Padres game, so decided to grab a quick pint. A very interesting place to say the least. The beer list had a lot of variety (we tried the Seal Cove) and there is a pool table with lots of sofas in that room and a single golf themed arcade game near the bar. The bar area and music being blasted reminded me of a new wave, techno club. Not sure what type of crowd they are trying to attract, but it was pretty dead after the game. Getting nipped by a little yapper dog that was jumping up on people as they ordered beers and a sign trying to entice positive Yelp ratings by offering a discount on your tab (if you showed them your rating) really turned me off. One beer (which wasn't that bad) and we headed out.

Was recommended the mandarin chicken by a very nice worker. The chicken was pretty good, but it was nothing crazy to go for. I wish I tried the pho! The fried rice was yummy though!

WOW did this place meet their reviews! We enjoyed everything ordered and part of the charm is absolutely the owners interacting with the customers. They helped mom decide what to order whereas I was in the mood to explore. We even found something for dad that made him happy (he's your standard hamburg or Costco hot dog kinda guy!).We ordered enough that we were to have a full meal the next day! Lebanese Moussaka was incredible. Eggplant base with chickpeas and other ingredients it wasn't what we're accustomed to having but really hit the spot. The bread other items were served on were out of this world delicious! And dessert was a really wonderful sweet surprise. We'll be back!

When drinks are this cheap... it's always at least a 3.5 star spot. The beers I got were about 7 dollars a pint. Not too shabby. I'll round up and give this spot four stars because it was a chill vibe. Really no thrills or frills with this place. You get what you see. Earlier in the day around 5pm it was mostly middle aged country lovin folxs. But when we returned around 10pm on a Saturday night it became much more diverse. There was karaoke playing at night as well. There are two pool tables too. Inside can feel packed with 40 people in there. There are a few seats inside at the bar and then tucked away in the corner and so if you want to sit with a large group your best bet is outside on the patio. You can still hear the music. There's a lot more air. And there's windows to peak inside.

Raises in South, I can't resist southern restaurants and bars, especially if they serve cajun or Creole dishes. I saw Nola on 5th and had to stop by. From the street, the outdoor appearance is clearly influenced by the Crescent City. Tried some of the signature drinks. I like the one in the photo below. I also sampled their gumbo, etoufee, jambalaya. The flavors were a bit hit or miss for me. Visually, i could not tell whixh bowl was gumbo vs etoufee. The bartender was cool, and the place definitely had its charm. I might be willing to try there again on my next visit

My friend Carolyn and I went over the weekend and we had such a great experience. We came around 11 am, so there was some breakfast options like longaniza and tortang talong (eggplant that's been friend with egg), my eyes were definitely larger than my stomach because we both ordered a three item combo. I chose white rice and for my mains I had lechon, sisig and tortang talong, we did get complimentary singang broth (sabaw). The service was so friendly and they are very gracious with their portions, they packed the container with so much sisig and my plate with lechon! First, the sinigang, was super flavorful and was sour and bright, it was perfect! The sisig, oh my god, was probably one of the better ones I've had in a really long time, you can taste every thing in it, sometimes when you get sisig elsewhere the flavors muddle together but theirs was just really good. My only issue was that the lechon was a little cold and wished it was a bit more tender but it was served with Manong Thomas so I was happy. I did eat it later and my friend Carolyn actually made sisig with it when she got home. We weren't finished yet, we ended up getting MINI halo-halo. I like that they had that as an option because the large would have been too big. The mini halo halo was perfect, I got it with ube ice cream with a scoop of mais queso ice cream on the side. Overall had a really great experience, the food was delicious, the team here is super friendly and it really felt like you were eating a family friends house. I cannot wait to come back!

If you haven't, you should... it's one of my absolute favorite things in the world and the Pho Ca Dao locations have always been my fave. I started going to the Mira Mesa location but this location is now one of my go-tos as it's not too far from my mom's house. My typical order is simple:- Chargrilled chicken spring rolls, extra peanut sauce (it's served with fish sauce)- Fried egg rolls, extra lettuce on the side- Chicken phoDo I eat it all? Rarely, but it's affordable and it never hurts to have some tasty leftovers!"
"Ordered a few items from GrubHub for delivery. I had the mish-mosh soup bowl ($8.95), full hot corned beef sandwich ($16.95), and the smoked Turkey club ($16.95).Pros:-everything was flavorful and delicious-the portion sizes were extremely generous. You definitely get your moneys worth and have left overs for laterCons:-n/aOverall, a solid choice for soups and sandwiches."
"I go there for lunch and they're pretty fast and always friendly. You order at the counter and get a number so the vibes are casual as you choose your own seat inside or outside. I ordered the Asian Chicken Salad and I am obsessed! Coming back again for it!"
"I was out looking for a food truck to try and found Senor Woofle at UCSD. Parking outside the UC Health building I noticed healthcare workers tired of hospital food partaking of the burger and shake options. Didn't notice any tables so I ordered a burger with lettuce, tomato, and bacon to go. Bun was soft and mild flavored. Beef was tender and mildly seasoned. Bacon was crispy with a nice salty flavor. Good burger. I'd visit again if I was nearby and hungry."

"I have to say, I was not a fan of the food I was served here. Specifically, the way my scramble was prepared and the cold sourdough toast that I was presented with.I had the Mission Beach Scramble which consisted of breakfast sausage and cheese, and then garnished with some green onions. They also added some peppers in for me.The issue was that the cook did not do the scramble justice. On paper it sounds great, but when you do not scramble the eggs properly leaving chunks of white portions and leave a few small pieces of egg shells into the mix for texture, well it does not go well. The cook, need to crack the eggs into a bowl, season the, and then scramble the hell out of them before applying them to the hot griddle. It's 101 to ensure a good scramble. These eggs were cracked over the griddle and submitted to the mix. Not a good way to get a good even scramble. Also, don't forget to season. These eggs needed a little love.I was disappointed with the sourdough toast as well. Sometimes I feel that people don't understand the meaning of the word "toast." When you toast something, one usually adds a little color to the bread and adds a little texture to the bread. This toast barely had color, was cold, and soft. What happened? The lady at the counter, was friendly enough, and but ordering is direct to the point with little small chat, not that there's anything wrong with that.Let's get our scramble on people.."
"For my coworker's birthday, I ordered some spring rolls, and lots of banh mi. I got the house special, grilled chicken, vegetarian, crispy pork belly, and grilled pork. I never had crispy pork belly in banh mi before. It was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It was a bit fatty, but so delicious! I also like the grilled pork and chicken ones as well. If you're craving for banh mi, this spot is worth a visit."
"For our monthly team lunch Havana Grill was chosen. Pineapple soda has a sweet pineapple flavor. Loved it.Beef empanada had a crunchy exterior and the inside was filled with tender ground beef that was marinated with Cuban spices. This is one of my favorite empanadas in town.Oxtail was tender and the sauce was rich with delicious Cuban flavors. My favorite oxtail in town.Fries were crispy with I loved the fried flavor.Service was quick and friendly. Havana Grill is my favorite Cuban restaurant in San Diego."
"AMAZING!!!!! This place is so good that I had to add their business to Yelp!!! This is a homebased restaurant, by reservations only! My favorite dish is the MaMa'a Country Fried Chicken and Potatoes! The homemade biscuits with honey butter basil are also out of this world! The owner and her husband provide excellent service and food-made from scratch! Head on over to mamagreenssandiego.com to make reservations (they ONLY take reservations)!!!! I love supporting military families, especially when they make delicious GREAT food!"
"Cute restaurant near regional airport.Nice menu selections, beer and wine.Udon Noodle Vegetable Soup, is unbelievable!Vegetable Egg Rolls, SUPER!Customer Service is great. Very accommodating, and knowledgeable.Nice Patio with one table that has a gas fire pit."
"I have already dined at this new flagship restaurant inside the Pearl Hotel in Point Loma twice during its first week of operation. The crew that runs Ponyboy has honed its chops from working at Addison which speaks of the pedigree and experience they bring. The mid-century vibe of this legacy property has remained unchanged. A bar with a dozen (or 13) seats was available along with a few tables in the lounge area adjacent to it. Most of the seating was outside along the perimeter of the swimming pool.Reservations can be made on OpenTable which I used to get a seat for my first visit. Valet parking cost $5 which might be the most efficient way because finding curbside parking in this neighborhood took me a while. Dinner was served from 5 to 10 pm on Wednesday to Sunday with a Golden Hour from 4 to 5 pm. That experience will be described later as it encompassed my second visit. The menu had a retro flair ranging from playful concepts like "TV Dinners" that featured daily specials (e.g. prime rib) to modern takes on classic entrees from the 60s and 70s like Barbacoa Beef Stroganoff and Jidori Chicken Kiev. All of the seafood was sourced from the nearby Tunaville Market and Grocery along the harbor. I stuck with that theme and ordered the Fisherman's Catch Ceviche from the list of six starters and the Fisherman's Catch & Grits from the six hot plates. The ceviche was made up of a gelatinous clamato aspic in the middle of the dish with cucumber, avocado aioli, and pickled onion mixed with the diced fish. Fennel tortilla chips were provided on the side to scoop up the ceviche that had a light tartness. The presentation was very colorful with edible flowers added as garnishment. Vermilion rockfish was the daily catch used in my main dish which contained parmesan grits, tomatillo-gooseberry salsa fresca, rancho gordo hominy 'corn nuts', and chorizo iberico. The cheesy grits were a perfect bed for the two fillets. As a bonus, the kitchen provided a complimentary serving of the Tomato Gazpacho. It turned out to be my favorite item of the evening. Three types of grapes, olive oil sorbet, garlic crouton, and basil oil were added to the cold tomato soup. The grapes and the sorbet made the gazpacho into a sweet treat as normally a savory tomato flavor reigns supreme. I would easily order this again. For dessert, I picked the Vanilla Raisin Ice Cream. Caramel was drizzled on top along with rum soaked raisins.Fast forward to the first weekend of business... I showed up a few minutes before the 4 pm opening time of Golden Hour. It's first come first served as the food and drink specials were only offered at the bar and lounge. Cocktails were $11 each which featured a Daiquiri, an Old Fashioned, a Margarita, and a Moscow Mule. The real deal (steal) was the discounted food which was the following at $1 apiece...* Raw Oyster* Deviled Egg* Swedish Meatball* Mini Chili Dog* Ratatouille Tartlette* Tuna Melt Tartlette* Five Alarm Chili TartletteI ordered two each of the first three choices, one mini chili dog, and one of each of the tartlettes. Before the clock reached 5 pm, I got a second round of oysters and deviled eggs. One dollar oysters are not as frequent as they used to be prior to the pandemic. The size of the bi-valve mollusks were large. Lemon and tabasco sauce were provided to liven up the raw taste. Even though the deviled eggs were basic with paprika sprinkled on top compared to the fancier version served as a shareable plate on the regular menu, the cheap price was too much of a draw for me.The service I received at the table and at the bar was fantastic. The staff was well-trained and answered all of my questions without hesitation. For the quality of the food at Ponyboy, the menu prices were very reasonable. Overall, I was impressed with the debut of this restaurant and gave it a five star rating."
"Sammies by the Sand occupies a terrific corner location on Mission Blvd just a block east of the waterfront. For some reason, many businesses have tried to operate from this space without any long term success. I didn't even realize that Sammies has been operating for over a year as I last remembered this place as a branch of Cheba Hut Toasted Subs. The inside still had a casual, beachy vibe with a combination of high-top and regular tables for seating. The menu board featured carnival fare such as wings, hot dogs, nachos, and pretzels besides the roster of seven sammies (sandwiches). The last category was available as a six inch or twelve inch product. I selected a small Sunset Cliffs sammie which was made up of roast beef, bacon, pepperjack, lettuce, tomato, bell peppers, crispy onions, and garlic aioli on wheat bread (my pick). The crispy onions stood out as a unique ingredient that added texture to an ordinary sandwich. The other item I purchased was a Bulldog which was one of three hot dog varieties. Chili, onion, and cheddar were the toppings, however I asked the onion to be withheld. As a chili cheese dog, the gravy wasn't too salty, but I have tasted heartier versions. What limited my rating to three stars was the inconsistent business hours that resulted in unsuccessful trips. I visited multiple times in which the doors were locked despite a sign saying they should have been open."
"Came here during their happy hour and they offer some pretty good deals. Got their mastiff fries, Brussels sprouts, and smash burger slider. Each of these were $5. They also offer $5 off all their whole pizzas. Took advantage of this and ordered their That's My Boy pizza. Suuuuuper good. Comes with pepperoni, ricotta cheese, jalapeño, honey, and red sauce. The balance of spiciness and sweetness is perfect. I noticed they had a bunch of beers on draft so it would be a great place to chill and have some drinks, too."
"It's a sports bar so expect that kind of menu. Food is ok, but you're here for the sports or if in December all the holiday lights! The cocktails are amazing and service is always great."
