"First time to Kind and I most often get black batch coffee or a pour over. The batch they had today is fantastic! The girls were ultra happy and friendly. For ready to go coffee, this stands out as a trip worth the effort compared to other daily drinkers around town. I'm a coffee roaster hobbyist so I'm glad there was no parking at the horse place I tried before this. I had to come back and add to the review as I'm drinking some aweosme black coffee. It's got the hallowed blueberry and chocolate notes that roasters love to find in some of their roasts! This is tasty, enjoying it in my Klean Kanteen for hours!"
"One of my favorite Better Buzz locations. The ambiance is nice. Parking can be a pain though. There is only street parking if you're lucky enough to find a spot. Customer service is great. The baristas are nice and welcoming. You can't go wrong with ordering their Best Drink Ever. It's made with their signature creamy vanilla syrup."

It's a perfect spot to get work done or take a work break at if you work nearby.Working on 3rd Ave and coming to my chiro appts on 3rd Ave on my days off, it's hard not to pass up a yummy toast, sandwich, or matcha! The service is awesome, friendly, and answers any and all questions you have.I've tried their strawberry matcha, dirty chai latte, and horchata latte and would have to say my favorite is their strawberry matcha. Their drinks are STRONG, so be prepared if you order any of their coffee beverages. So excited to go back to try more of their toasts and sandwiches soon."
"R&B Tea was my go to boba spot for my drinks when they were open in Convoy. After that plaza was closed due to some fire, I am glad that this location here exists! It is smaller compared to its Convoy counterpart that had more seating and lounge space. This one is more of a grab and go and with a self-ordering screen near the entrance if you want to avoid ordering at the counter. I decided on a Roasted Oolong Cream Tea and my boyfriend ordered a Brown Rice Tea. The tea flavor was prominent and the sweetness was adjusted well. The tea options here are plentiful as well as milk based drinks, fruit teas, and snacks like bubble waffle. They used to have a Tiramisu foam at the Convoy location that I wish they offered here. Although I wasn't sure, there definitely were some changes to the menu. Good to know that R&B Tea is still around and I would stop by for tea again."
"Elvira is a cute restaurant and more casual than the sister restaurant Cesarina, even down to the menu which has a big pizza section. My husband and I ordered an appetizer, pasta, and pizza. The appetizer which was a special that night was the most memorable bite. It was an extra large ravioli the size of a large post-it filed with cheese, meat, and mushrooms, then coated in breadcrumbs and deep fried. It was served with a béchamel that was delicious. The cacio e Pepe was superb, perfectly salted, very peppery, and had a nice chew to the pasta. The pizza was our least favorite and don't think we'd order again. It was the Provolona which had sausage, mushrooms, and actual slices of provolone cheese. It lacked flavor, the crust was okay, and was one note. The service was impeccable just as it always is at Cesarina and restaurant itself gorgeous."
"We came here for their grand opening and was given the cutest Boba Tea sling as a little gift...super cute! For those watching their sugar intake, you can control the amount of liquid sweetener added to your drink. Zero, 25%, 50%, 75% too 100%. Choose your poison! I always order their Ube Milk Tea over light ice, no additional sugar with grass jelly to add a touch of sweetness and it's perfect for me. They offer a large variety of coffee and tea drinks, smoothies, yogurt drinks, slushes etc. with your choice of toppings: popping boba, grass jelly, boba, cheese cream, egg pudding and plenty more. The options are endless!Service is spot on. Parking, tiny as it is shared with other restaurants and businesses so plan accordingly or you'll have to park in the street. Will definitely return!"
"The food (the biscuit) I had was delicious! So yummy! The service from Grayson was TOP NOTCH! So kind and knowledgeable of me sharing my taste buds and him providing an excellent recommendation! Thank you! It's a great, local coffee shop that's female owned and I loved the decor! Really nice! Can't wait to return!"
"It's a cute and clean place. Very small and quaint. Service is on par. The mocha is very flavorful and you can taste the caffeine. They have a little cute courtyard sitting area to relax and do your work etc"
"When in the north county San Diego area, Lofty Coffee - La Costa is one of my favorite places. The coffee, food, and service are amazing. The staff's service and friendly demeanor contribute to the inviting atmosphere, making customers feel genuinely welcome.Lofty roasts their own coffee and has a variety of crafted coffees. The selection of pastries and food items complement the drinks, adding to the overall experience. The quality of the coffee and food and the overall service and ambiance makes Lofty Coffee what it is. Lofty is an excellent spot for those seeking wonderful coffee and food in a charming setting."
"I've been here several times now. On my latest visit, I had a cortado and their Liège waffle. The cortado was pretty good up front but had a touch of acidity that I did not care for. The Liège waffle was very good. it was crispy and had good texture to it, and not to mention subtle sweetness about it. It has great color too. Customer service was friendly enough. I did think, however, that it could have been friendlier. This blue bottle offers inside and outside seating and is located at Westfield UTC Mall."
"We were walking down Orange Ave in Coronado and I needed caffeine. I had heard Trident is veteran owned and we will always support small businesses especially veteran owned. We stopped by Trident and it was packed! Now, the service was SO friendly and welcoming and while it was busy they were getting everyone's orders out quickly. They have a lot of options and it was hard to choose. With new spots I generally use a caramel latte as my baseline. The prices are on par and my caramel latte was full of flavor and great! I would definitely stop back in when in Coronado!"
"Super friendly "mom and pop" donut shop tucked away in a small plaza in the farthest corner of Mira Mesa Blvd, in the same plaza as Loving Hut.The parking lot is small and can get very busy around mealtimes.Pro tip: The plaza below is connected to this one via a staircase. So if it's packed here, you can drive down to the adjacent plaza to park there and walk up the concrete staircase to get your daily steps in and offset the donut calories. Haha!Anywho, this is a donut shop review so I should actually write about donuts right?!I would categorize this as a traditional donut shop. Service is friendly and not pushy. They serve tasty and fresh donuts.I have visited multiple times and ordered different donuts and can report I have not taken home a single stale or yucky donut yet. Yay!They offer a selection of about a dozen traditional donuts and donut holes, with a daily special donut usually available.I should note that this shop also sells coffee and bottled drinks. In the corner of the shop there is a small set of old school vending machines, with gum balls, stickers and toys.My girls were delighted to discover they sold "Happy Bunny" stickers featuring a set of words to create your own custom sarcastic message. There are several tables set up inside that are well-spaced, if that is a concern. Just outside, there is a bench and a table. It's a bit of a drive for me to visit, but the donuts from this shop are the same ones we would eat after attending mass in person so there's a nostalgic factor to it for us. And happy memories help make happy kids."

Kind Coffee is a cozy spot in the heart of downtown that's perfect for a coffee break. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted with the smell of fresh coffee and friendly staff.Ambiance:The place has a great vibe with a mix of rustic and modern decor. There are comfy couches and communal tables, so it's great whether you're alone or with friends. The big windows let in lots of natural light, making it feel bright and welcoming.Coffee:The coffee is excellent. I had the house blend, which was smooth and flavorful with hints of chocolate and caramel. The baristas know their stuff--my latte was perfect, with a nice, creamy foam and pretty latte art on top.Menu:They offer more than just coffee. They also have a good selection of pastries that go perfectly with their coffee.Service:The staff are really nice and make you feel welcome. Service is quick, but they still take the time to chat and make sure you're happy with your order.Overall Experience:Kind Coffee is a great place to relax, catch up with friends, or get some work done. Parking can be a bit tough during busy times, but it's worth it. Definitely check it out if you're in the area!

Overall: hip ambiance, fun menu, yummy tea, coffee, and food items, and kind serviceWe enjoyed our coffee, lavender tea latte, blueberry muffin, and better breakfast sandwich. I've never had a breakfast sandwich on a pretzel bun, but it was awesome, balanced, and flavorful. The lavender tea latte was delicious but a little too sweet for my personal preference. I loved the lighting and natural vibes of the place. The regular sized drinks were rather large.

Okay, listen up! You absolutely have to check out Galú! They just opened today! 5/3/24 cozy vibes, killer coffee, and food. Seriously, if you don't swing by, you're missing out! Their horchata latte is pure magic, and the smoked salmon toast? Let's just say it's a game-changer for brunch lovers everywhere. the staff - they're like sunshine in human form, always ready to make your day brighter. So, if you want to be in on the best-kept secret in town, you better head to Galú pronto. Trust me, you won't regret it! A bit on the pricey side, however worth every penny!

Finally made my way over to try Cesarina's sister restaurant, Elvira! Elvira is focused on Roman dishes. It's easier to visit last minute in comparison to Cesarina. Overall I prefer the variety of dishes at Cesarina, but still really enjoyed the pasta quality at Elvira. During my visit, I shared the sausage mushroom pizza, bucatini all'amatriciana, and rigatoni al sugo. The pizza was very bready and tasted stale. I would not get the pizza again. Both pastas were perfectly al dente. The guanciale in the bucatini dish could have been more crispy.

Definitely an IG location to take pictures with the decorations on the wall! Casual hangout spot, I went late afternoon and like 20 kids came in after school which made it a bit loud and cramped in the small store. Lots of variety on the menu, the passionfruit green tea was tasty with half sweetness. I got the signature milk tea with boba since I just wanted a milk tea. I like the golden boba they use which has a nice blend of sweetness to chewiness. This location also has frozen macaroon ice cream which I did not get to try. Maybe I can next time! They also offer 10% discount at this location for certain professions such as healthcare workers, law enforcement, and more!

Just discovered this cute coffee shop right around the corner of my house. I was really excited to try it out. Great coffee selection and lots of options. Pastries are delicious. Had a bread pudding while I had my coffee there. Really enjoyed my coffee and the chill ambiance. It's cute, chic, "instagram picture"kind of coffee shop but the most important thing is that the coffee tastes great too. Definitely coming back tomorrow lol and possibly every day before work.

Local coffee shop tucked in this corner of North Park. No frills - their cappuccinos and lattes are usually good but not very strong. Super fast and friendly service, which makes this a great local gem. Unfortunately, I do not recommend their baked goods (croissants, muffins, banana bread); they taste like Von's market quality if that's your jam. Very dog friendly owners, I love that I can chill with my dog outside in the patio.Remote workers: I've gotten usually good signal taking a call outside, but you might have to toggle camera off a couple of times if there's too many laptops out chugging the wifi juice away.
Visit Restaurant Page"The Corner Mercantile & Eatery is a very convenient stop for those who need last minute food supplies for a day of kayaking or swimming at nearby La Jolla Shores. Parking is not easy in this area as everyone is looking for a spot before spending time at the beach. If you can make a quick run, then there is a 15-minute parking space across the street. The place had numerous shelves of dried goods. Next to the service counter was a refrigerated display of deli meats, cheeses, and salads. A small menu board was posted above and behind the register. A few small tables were available inside along with a large one right outside the front entrance. My goal was to pick up a sandwich on the go. I ended up choosing a chicken salad inside a French croissant. It came as two pieces with the tasty salad stuffed in the middle. The croissant was crispy and flaky. Perhaps the serving size could have been larger for the price. I gave my visit here a rating between three and four stars."
"Heave Ho is my go to roaster for fresh coffee beans. Unlike other places where they deceptively use "best by" date, Heave Ho includes the date that the beans were roasted instead which is a much better indicator to gauge freshness. Coffee beans are roasted on site, can't get any more fresh than that! Especially if you order a drink and enjoy in their nice seating area. Great customer service and extremely knowledgeable. Gave me some pointers on how to improve my espresso pulls at home and even pulled a shot for me so I could use it as a reference point."
"This is great little drive thru and walk up coffee cottage with a single small table at the front. The young ladies running the shop make terrific coffee, as I learned from the 16 oz Cafe au Lait with 2% milk. The cafe au lait was very well made with just the right amount of hot milk added to the coffee to create a nice frothy and slightly creamy layer on top. The coffee they used was a medium Cafe Moto roast and was full bodied with very good robust finish. I great was to start my day indeed. They offer a variety of coffees here and also make Acai Bowls, teas, package granola and oatmeal products. Service is quick and served with a friendly smile. As I enjoyed my coffee at the single table they offer, the ladies struck up nice conversation. All their coffees are organic and part of fair trade."
"I came here with my daughter and we really enjoyed our drinks. She ordered the Orange Peach Oolong and I got the Assam Black Milk Tea w/boba. Both drinks were good, but if I had to pick a favorite, it would be the Orange Peach Oolong. The drink was both fragrant and refreshing. This boba shop was very clean and has lots of tables, perfect for students to bring their laptops to study (which was what my daughter did while I ran some errands).Service was fast and friendly, and lots of free parking in a shared lot!"
"I'm shocked at the flavor this vegan gem packs. I don't often choose vegan but tried them today and I didn't even realize the sausage croissant I was eating was vegan until halfway through it. Service was fast and friendly. Small but cute interior."
"I just love this place! They have the best cookies and if you come on Tuesdays, you can buy them for $2. Today we were helped by Jessica and Cameron (I hope I spelled that right). They were very helpful and nice."
"I took my 5 year old daughter here after school. We loved it. Its close to many schools in the Village. You can tell when school gets out. There's a nice front corner table with a fun view. We sat with the owner and talked for a while. He's very nice and I can tell he loves this place. We loved everything. Sweet and savory crepes. They have some creative crepes. Thier frozen yogurts are also great."
"If you're in the Mission Beach area, this place is a must! It's a cute spot with a small indoor area, but a solid outdoor area. It's counter service, so I'd recommend grabbing a spot under an umbrella while waiting for your food to be ready. The breakfast burritos are truly unreal. Something about the combination of flavors was just perfect. You could really tell that the ingredients were high quality and cooked nicely. The hash browns hit the spot and the bacon added just the right flavor. I would be more than happy to come back for a burrito the next time I'm in town!"
"The drinks have never disappointed. Ambiance is chill. Service is good. This is by far the best Ding Tea shop I have tried. The San Marcos and Vista locations don't even come close to this one."
"I've been waiting a while before visiting the Three Boys Coffee stand at the Westfield Plaza Bonita Mall. Usually it was because I purchased my lunch there and preferred not to carry two items around. Well for whatever reason, I finally went today and wound up pretty happy in the end. I picked a good time to get my photos and then shopped around a little more before I made my order. The baristas were highly courteous- I was very impressed with them in both attitude and service. I am one who always enjoys chatting with baristas at the coffee shops I visit. If I find they lack good service skills, I very rarely return. But no worries today at Three Boys! They were terrific! This coffee stand is pretty impressive! It's at a good location at the mall on the second floor and pretty much in the center of the mall itself. It's not far from the escalators, so just about everyone who goes up to the second deck is going to walk by Three Boys Coffee. I see from Yelp photos that this stand once had its own store space at the mall. But times have changed! This stand is pretty clean and well organized. Besides coffee specialties, they offer danishes, and tea choices as well. My only regret today was that I missed the fact Three Boys offers may favorite beverage! The Mexican mocha! I guess I have a lesson learned from today's visit - look at the entire menu!! I won't miss "El Abuelo" next time! But for now, "The Mammas Boy" served my needs for a good latte very well! A very serviceable and a delightful visit! Stop by sometime! Recommend: HIGH"
"A taco shop next to a La Mesa Albertsons.I finally tried Senor Burros and I liked it. I got the carne asada fries and they are a hit. The price is fair, the portion was generous and the food came out as quickly as you would expect. This location is cleaner than your average taco shop of its kind.If you are in this area, bring some friends and eat at Senor Burros, take a seat and eat under the watchful eye of their mascot donkey, I mean burro"
"Tasty coffee. Not expensive! This coffee shop is inside the Jcc, and because of the crazy world we live in, you need to be able to pass through security and get in the building. But if you are here for a performance or event, or are a JCC member, The coffee is quite tasty. And there is a great patio outside."
"good ceremonial matcha, lots of seating but no bathroom, unfortunate!! I would come back to try the acai and coffee. lots of natural light and tucked away from the main street"
"Keep coming back. This time I got the mexi-mocha and it is sooo yummy. Also, best days to get pastries are Mondays and Tuesdays!"
"I stumbled upon this new dessert spot on Garnet Ave after departing from another place where I ate dinner. This space used to be the home of a surf shop. Inside was a beautifully decorated seating area that felt more like a high-end French cafe. There was a candle in a holder on each roundtop table in addition to the checkered floor tiles, wall mirrors, and chandeliers. The two ladies behind the service counter greeted me warmly as I approached.Crepes, gelato, coffee, and tea were featured on the menu. In the back of the suite, you could peer through a window and watch crepes being freshly made on an iron griddle. The six savory crepes cost between $16.95 and $18.95 while the six sweet crepes were priced slightly less at either $14.95 or $15.95. The gelato pricing was complicated with three tiers based on three sets of flavors. Within each tier, you could select one scoop or two scoops. The second scoop could cost $1, $1.20, or $1.30 more depending on the flavor. One of the workers offered taste samples of the gelato. I tried a few of the nine available flavors before settling on two scoops of the Mango Sorbet in a cup versus a cone. The fruity flavor was strong for this sorbet. If I was not so full from dinner, then I might have elected a sweet crepe for dessert instead of gelato. I hope the owners can install some permanent signage on the marquee soon because a sidewalk sign was the only reason why I noticed the presence of Creperie Antoinette while passing by."
"A hidden gem, almost speakeasy-esque! This little cart is located within the Nobel Executive Center, a non-descript office park near Nobel Drive and the 5 Freeway. It's near the back of the complex, and has a good amount of outdoor seating. I had the iced Americano and sweetened it. The espresso was made really well, which made this a great morning pick-me-up. The menu also has a number of non-coffee items as well, with pastries on display. The service was spectacular, with the staff making sure that we were happy with our drinks! Definitely try this place out, and don't let the location scare you"
"The most adorable little coffee stand hidden inside Balboa Park! This place is such a hidden gem but it deserves so much more love. The environment is absolutely gorgeous -- so colorful and cheerful -- and the drinks are amazing as well! I got a strawberry horchata latte. I probably could've done without the coffee (it was my second caffeinated drink of the day), but it was still delicious and perfectly sweet. The workers here are so friendly and kind!Highly recommend stopping here for a midday drink if you're touring the area! You won't regret it :)"
"After a late night early morning in downtown, what is better than a hot coffee? I saw the cute little logo on my way home. Once upon a time, I lived a couple blocks away from this location and it was Starbucks. It's very nice to see that another café was opened in its place. I was surprised to see and smell delicious breakfast plates being served. Their food menu consisted of more than a dozen dishes. The coffee drink menu had quite a few selections as well. The staff seemed very attentive and efficient.I got a coconut Matcha latte. It was delicious. My only issue with my latte was that it sounded like it came from a premixed. They had a few selections of milk or creamers. Overall, my little visit was great!"
"This new East Village location of Blackmarket Bakery is much larger than the original shop in University Heights/North Park. The curbside parking (some metered) was also easier, however be wary of the transients that hang out in this area. There was a live band playing on the adjacent patio during the grand opening weekend last month when I visited near closing time. It was quite festive, and most of the indoor and outdoor seating was occupied. The menu board was dominated by breakfast and lunch sandwiches with descriptions. The beverages, pastries, and sweets were listed by name only. Plenty of baked goods were on display at the service counter. Also on display in the middle of the room at several tables forming an island were merchandise and prepackaged dried goods. I chose one savory and one sweet item for my to-go order. The Phoenix was the lunch sandwich of choice. The combination was made up of turkey, pepper jack cheese, avocado, roma tomatoes, arugula, and red pepper mayo on toasted Dutch crunch. I love that type of chewy, crunchy bread and normally choose it when available. Unfortunately, the kitchen had run out of supply. They made the sandwich using white bread which made it look rather plain. The sweet treat was a creme brulee which was served on a cardboard disc with a tab that made it easy to lift from inside the takeout box. I had no issues with the creamy tart at all. The service was a tad slow in preparing my order. The staff working the counter was very pleasant though. The neighborhood can be really gritty on some nearby streets, but I am happy to see the owners take a risk to open where such a business is needed."
"I love this coffee place! I make it a point to visit whenever I'm at the mall. The coffee is really good, the prices are very fair and every barista that has helped me is very friendly. And a bonus, the owner always remembers my order...dark chocolate toasted marshmallow mocha!! They also have a location at the Shoppes at Carlsbad, so give them a try."
"Ohana Nutrition...what can I say...business owner's Lisa and JJ are such FANTASTIC people! They are in the shop every day grinding out the yummy shakes and teas every day!! I love going to Ohana to grab an electrolyte filled refreshing tea before I head over to NXPT for my Zumba class! Come in a grab a pre-workout drink that doesn't make you shakey or feel crazy! Once you're done with your workout grab a yummy protein shake sure to fill you up! Ohana means Family and Lisa and JJ are sure to treat you as such! The shop is so chill, relaxing, such great vibes!!"
"LOVE Blue Luna Cafe & Deli!! My go to is the panela veggie sandwich- it is perfection, with all the right ingredients! Portion size is pretty massive, so I usually share, so wish I could eat the whole thing LOL. Service is fast and always consistent. Support small businesses and definitely give them a try!"
