"This is a nice on-campus cafe located right next to the UCSD vaccine superstation. Because the demand is subsiding, the station will be disassembled at the end of this month. This also means that Ridgewalk Social will be temporarily closed until September when the students return for the fall semester. Most of their business from the past few months was coming from people who were lining up to be vaccinated.Salads, chicken wings, burgers, and wraps were the main food categories. I bought a Chicken Deluxe to-go which was a crispy spiced brined chicken breast with applewood bacon, pickles, tomato, lettuce, and a special sauce. I chose a house salad as a side instead of hand cut french fries. The sandwich was large and nicely assembled so the $11 price tag was well justified. No dressing was offered with the salad which I don't know was an oversight or not. It could have used a small cup of vinaigrette. One issue that stood out was the 30-minute preparation time for the sandwich. I came in the late afternoon so it was well after the peak hours of business. There were four orders placed ahead of me, and it appeared that those customers were waiting quite a while for their food too."
"First timers.. everything was outstanding! Breadsticks with garlic butter top notch! Family special is an incredible value- wings definitely great tasting, pizza with crust flavoring sets it above the rest! Sauce has a sweetness which I love. Friendly fast and efficient. Everything packed right to go- a must try pizza place!"

Visit Restaurant Page"Dirty Birds is a delightful gem within San Diego, and thigs review is regarding their convenient location in UCSD's Price Center. The atmosphere is vibrant and inviting, boasting an open, airy ambiance that seamlessly connects the indoor dining area with the charming outdoor patio. Whether you choose to sit inside or outside, it's a first-come, first-served system where you place your order upfront and eagerly await your name to be called once your meal is prepared.I've savored every dish I've tried here, from their mouthwatering wings and hearty sandwiches to their flavorful pizzas and fresh salads. The portions are generous, and the flavors are simply outstanding. What truly sets Dirty Birds apart is their warm and efficient service, paired with a menu that offers great value for your money. It's no wonder I find myself drawn back here time and again, drawn by the relaxed environment and the added bonus of outdoor TVs perfect for catching a game while enjoying delicious food and drinks.Recently, I had the pleasure of having Dirty Birds cater a special event for my team, and it was a hit! The setup was perfect, and everyone raved about the delicious food--even the leftovers were fantastic. The staff member who assisted us that afternoon provided exceptional service with a friendly demeanor, making the experience even more memorable. Needless to say, I will definitely be returning to Dirty Birds in the future."
"Whenever I heard Chicken Charlie, I thought of the half cut pineapple with rice and chicken (Maui Chicken). Chicken Charlie's Table has always been a staple seen in the San Diego County Fair amongst others. Their restaurant in Rancho Bernardo was beautiful. It was huge, had some outdoor seating, and just a lot of open-ness. I like the ambiance of the interior decorating. The menu choices were quite extensive, and on the weekends, they have brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 9AM - 2PM. I expected the rest of their menu to be completely fried items (due to what I've seen at the fair). Which the menu did meet expectations (brunch options, family dinners, burgers, baskets, etc.), but they also offer hearty salads. Another discovery was that you get sucked back into childhood nostalgia with the kool-aid that they add in to mix with drinks.DATE: August 2023 11:30 AM for 4 peopleWe had Samuel as our waiter, but he was also working the bar. He was awesome and friendly! -My husband, L, ordered the Kool-Aid Old Fashioned, which consisted of Bulleit Bourbon, Angostura Bitters, Cherry Kool-Aid, Orange peel, and a cherry.-I went for a Citrus Fizz, which consisted of orange, lemon, demerara, aquafava.-He created the drink, the Maggie (after one of our members in the group). We did see him add in like orange juice, tito's, blue kool-aid, pineapple and cherry on top. Our food came out promptly at a good pace. They also have other interesting drinks like Anna-Elsa, The Poway Mom, Bernardo Bloody Mary, etc.The food we ordered were definitely worth their price. They were all very hearty and huge.- My husband, L, ordered the 'Chicken Fried Steak' - Tenderized Ney York steak, breaded, fried, topped with country sausage gravy, served with two eggs, tater tots, and sourdough toast. He managed to finish off most of it, leaving behind the tater tots and sourdough toast. And was complimented by Samuel that, it is a quite a feat because most patrons can't find it.- I ordered the beet salad. I enjoyed it with the crispy chicken (+$5) on the side. It was humungous. The beets were definitely big! I did ask them to remove the feta and tomatoes.- Yelper Maggie had 'The Jessica.' The descriptions was Cheeseburger Salad: chopped half-pound burger with cheddar cheese over romaine, Tomatoes, Red Onion, Crispy Bacon, an Half an Avocado. Topped with Ranch. Basically a deconstructed cheeseburger without the salad. Also hearty plate of food.- Yelper S ordered the fish n chips, which was 12 ounces of crispy battered wild caught Cod, served with tartar sauce and lemon. Our group had a nice time at this location. It shares the same parking lot as the Albertsons and a few other shops. My only complaint is the salad plating It's great to see how they display all the things in your salad. But, it's pretty hard to mix all of that on a plate. If all the salads could be moved into giant bowls, it would be SO much easier to eat. I would come again to try other things on their menu, if I'm in the fried mood. They also got deep fried oreos."
"Mr. Pete is one of the few genuine business owners out there in a sea of ever constant mediocrity. I first had his Detroit-style pizza at a brewery popup. I finally visited the Kearny Mesa location recently which occupies a former Taco Bell drive-thru and dine-in restaurant. They kept all the former bells and whistles to maintain that awesome element of 90's nostalgia. Motor City is his jam and so many Detroit sports team memorabilia festoons the space. I felt right at home having grown up watching the back-to-back champions, the Redwings, the -- in the words of my father -- "losing" Lions (they takin it all the way this year though!), "terrible" Tigers, and the Pistons (no name to bestow). You'll even spy Detroit-made "pop" called "Faygo" in the fridges. The owner's pride in his hometown is extremely evident! The menu features their Detroit-style pizza but other notable items include their Double Smash Burgers, Detroit Style Coney Dogs, and other Michigan classic comfort foods. You are able to order pizza as a whole pie (8x10 pies or 4-pan slices) or by the slice at $5-6.50ea. During out 1st visit, they weren't in the warmer next to the cash register and it was heated up somewhere in the back. This was the definite preferred method as the pizza slices came out gooey and with crisped up edges. When they are sitting in the warmer under the heat lamp, on the other hand, they are served right away and are definitely without that usual crunch. The smash burger was a surprise sleeper at just $7. Served on a toasted sesame bun, the patties had optimal sear and were not too greasy. Regardless of slight reservations, I have left with nothing but positive vibes. It does one good to support a business owner with what seems like rare passion towards his craft."
"Brewery with their own kitchen?! Brunch on the weekends?! Non-beer options such as wine, cider, hard kombucha, and coffee?! This place has it all. One of my favorite spots to frequent when I want a meal with a drink. Their brunch goes until 2pm and that gravy is bomb. Favorite thing ordered so far has been the chicken and waffles.Cute vibes and lots of seating for indoor/outdoor. Dogs allowed and sometimes there can be a pup per table - no complaints here!Service is always great. Everyone is so nice and food comes out pretty fast. The only thing I realized that doesn't happen at this spot is they don't offer splashes for you to taste before you buy a full pour. A little sad since you can only purchase full pours (no tasters).Parking can be a hit or miss. At most, you'll circle for a few minutes."
"Stopped in with the boyfriend after an afternoon of walking through the pier of OB. We were just visiting from the Bay Area so it's always fun to stumble into local small businesses to support.I was craving for a Chicago style hot dog and the menu here happened to offer it (I saw it on the menu posted on the window as we were casually walking by). The hot dog came with tomatoes, pickles, sports peppers, relish & onions for $8.50 a pop. Not the greatest I have ever had but it did the job in satisfying my craving.Looks like these guys have a great beer, wine, and spirit list. There are pool tables and a huge space for large groups to gather. I bet this is a cool spot to hang out at on nights and weekends. They don't have their own private lot so prepare to look for street parking if you're driving in."
"Love that this restaurant is now in Del Mar!Farewell to terrible Convoy parking. Came here twice already. Took my family and then we took our visiting priest here with some friends. They LOVED the chicken. We're tried almost every flavor. The honey garlic one was a favorite. Go alone. Go with friends. Share chicken and salad and you'll all be quite happy."
"The local Korean Fried Chicken (KFC) competition is heating up with another new entry into the SD market. BHC Chicken has opened its second US store with this location at The Mercato Food Hall in Sorrento Valley. They are supposedly South Korea's most popular KFC chain. The suite had capacity for about 50 customers. The menu wasn't all fried chicken as several traditional Korean dishes were available (e.g. spicy rice cakes). You could place an order using the self service kiosk or with a cashier. I found the options to be confusing, namely the fact that some of the sauces were unavailable to be paired up with certain chicken cuts. I don't if this was a supply issue or a speed bump in the operation because they had been in business for less than a week during my visit. The fried chicken is made to order so plan for additional waiting time while the food is being prepared. Two of the signature flavors were the Gold King (Korean soy sauce, honey, and garlic) and Bburinkle (Korean cheese seasoning). I chose the Bburing Cheese Balls as an appetizer which had the latter sprinkled on top of the deep fried product filled with mozzarella cheese. The fritters were chewier than I had anticipated as the pastry dough was glutinous rice (i.e. mochi). The cashier convinced me to order the thighs which I requested with a Classic Fried flavor. Eight pieces were served with sweet chili sauce per my choice. More of this dip was needed to match the portion size of the order. The batter was light and very crunchy. It was probably one of the better executed versions I have tasted in the SD area. Better Happier Choice... not so sure about this pretentious, abbreviated motto, but I felt my dining experience was at a four star level."
"This place is huge, but the other side doesn't have any tables or chairs...just empty space. We ordered buffalo wings for him and lemon pepper tenders for me. The food was ready pretty quickly, except for the ribs and fries. It was nice that they brought that out to me when it was ready. For sides, we chose the coleslaw and potato salad. The wings were very flavorful and the sauce for the ribs were good too. I also enjoyed the fries as well.I didn't care too much for the sides though. We also got an Oreo and taro smoothie. Hubby liked his, but I didn't think my drink was good. The boba was also hard. I'll probably get a drink without boba next time!"

"It was a hungry Saturday evening. My boyfriend, his daughter, and I were trying to figure out what to eat that would suit all of our tastes. I had previously introduced Korean Fried Chicken to them (this location was previously Padadak). Both boyfriend and daughter were craving Korean Fried Chicken, so we landed at Crispy Chicken n' Tomato on Clairemont Mesa Blvd (San Diego); recently opened in September 2023. According to their website, Crispy Chicken n' Tomato is "the No. 1 Korean Fried Chicken" in Japan. We ordered the following:- 24 piece chicken wings - tried their Honey Soy and their Classic Mild flavors. My favorite was the Honey Soy. Boyfriend's favorite was the Classic Mild. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=cJ_NlC78dQ5XM3bAqs7HjA&userid=NvUeb5G_mSSxgKhEE_Hueg- Fried Gyoza - perfectly fried. NOM NOM NOM! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=ctDszYvlz9EXoWCAHcnjzw&userid=NvUeb5G_mSSxgKhEE_Hueg- Fries - I'm usually not a fan of fries but this was perfectly fried. Boyfriend's daughter had mentioned the crispness. Everything was fresh, perfectly fried, and delicious!! ENJOY!!"

Swung by for lunch after class on a Monday and there were only a couple people in line at the register including us. It is a bit out of the way as Ridgewalk Social is all they way out by RIMAC, but after trying it, I will 100% be back as this has to be the best place to eat on campus by far. The prices are super fair and the quality of the food is ridiculous. There is indoor and plenty of outdoor seating as well and the wait for food was about only about 10 minutes. The Social (4.5/5): Super high quality burger with the addition of crunchy, fatty bacon and a sunny side up egg is perfection. The runny yolk adds a beautiful creaminess to every bite. The Chicken Deluxe (4/5): The fried chicken has clearly been flattened to get an even cook and it definitely paid off in moist, crunchy bites. If they sold bottles of the sauce, I would definitely drink it straight up. Veggies are super fresh and help curb the guilt of more bacon. The fries and side salad (4.25/5): The quality of the sides are through the roof. The side salad absolutely blew my expectations considering it was complementary and you can never go wrong with well-seasoned, golden fries.

It's probably amazing for student that don't have a car to have a decent fried chicken spot on campus. But, for the rest of us, it's just a decent fried chicken spot. It was good, but I think there's better options around.

This is my 5th time at Chicken Charlie's. When I ate here 3 weeks ago with a large group. I had not heard of Chicken Charlie's before until the large group posted that they were having their monthly social get together here at Chicken Charlie's because people liked it so much when they came before it. Well this visit I ordered the daily dinner special which is Maui chicken for $15 instead of $18. It was heavily review and dark meat is the best if it were white meat I wouldn't even order it but I verified it was dark meat and they give you a decent pile of chicken on top of half of a pineapple with some of the chunks down at the bottom and my I'm making it four stars because one of the Maui Chicken reviews is right they don't give you enough rice for all the heavenly sauced chicken that is a very intense and flavor the white rice is not enough to eat that chicken with but I told my server. When she asked the manager about bringing me another scoop of white rice for no extra charge, he said No. Another complaint and I told the owner... he came to my table and I said I have some feedback about this Maui chicken I'm eating for the first time. The extra teriyaki sauce that they bring you is freezing cold and he was like he was not aware that it was being served freezing cold. I said I asked my server to bring a heated up teriyaki sauce. He said he never thought about heating the teriyaki sauce. I said when you go to a barbecue place they heat up their barbecue sauce and he acknowledging that was true, and he thanked me for the tip. But I don't know if he'll follow up on making all teriyaki chicken servings with heated up barbecue sauce. But at least I gave my feedback because when you dip the chicken in the freezing cold teriyaki sauce is quite a rude awakening. So I downgraded my review from five stars for last time if you read the previous review about the Fried Chicken special I had for $10. It was terrific! I was euphoric over the coating being crispy like a potato chip. This time whoever cleaned the table just wipe the crumbs onto where I would sit. That happens often in restaurants they just brush the crumbs off onto the seating area.I went another time, for Daily Special which was 4 chicken legs and rice for $10, no rice substitutions, and at 5 pm, they ran out already. I did not stay to eat something else, cos I don't wanna pay full price. I went on EASTER Sunday March 31, and only 1 table had people sitting. I ordered the daily special which was 2 pieces fried chicken, dark meat, and fries. I really like Charlie's fries, crispy like the chicken coating. Everything friend tastes great here. My server was sooooo attentive, came to check on me at least 4 times. Took trash from my table as it accumulated, not when I leave the table and go out the door. I am moving my review back from 4 stars to five stars. Bathroom was so clean this time, too.

Came here and got a slice of Nashville Hot Chicken Detroit style pizza and a double smash burger. The Nashville hot slice wasn't (spicy) hot at all, the edges were crispy with crusty with cheese as you'd expect from a Detroit style pizza. The slices were kept under a heat lamp and then reheated which is fine, like any pizza by the slice, but I've had better Detroit style pizza. I think the way to go is to get a whole Detroit pizza so its made fresh. The Double smash burger was ok. I'd say it was a cross between In N out and The Friendly's Dirty Flat Top. It was a very meaty burger like the Dirty Flat Top with the caramelized onions (no lettuce or tomato), but it had thousand island dressing like In N out. It was much bigger than both burgers but lacked something from each.Service was friendly, they brought the food to my table when it was ready. There were some video games in the corner, other reviews say they are free but I can't confirm that. If I knew they were free, id have played a few games. Sounds fun. I guess if you have kids this could be a win win. Free entertainment while you wait for your pizza. They have both thick pan type pizza (Detroit Style) and thin crust (Roman Style) pizza as well as some other Detroit favorites like Coney Island Dogs, Smash Burgers, chicken wings and Faygo Pop, a Detroit based Soda. They have lots of parking just turn when you see Indian Motorcycles.

This place was a great surprise! Gracious service, crisp fresh beer, and a smashburger to knock out all others. The fries could've been a little crisper (imho) but it was a perfect lunch. Dog friendly patio is very welcome too. Limited parking in the street should not keep you away, believe me. Loved this place.

We met some friends at Arizona Cafe for some Saturday NFL football. We love AZ, but it had been a while since our last visit. We walked in and found our friends sitting at a high-top to the left of the bar. Sarah was our bartender. She grabbed a seltzer for Becky and a pint of Estrella Jalisco for me. I can't remember ever seeing EJ on tap anywhere else. Not my favorite Mexican beer, but a decent offering. Their seltzer offerings, Bud Light Seltzer only, leaves a lot to be desired for Becky. Service was good. The AZ has TVs everywhere. Our NFL games were on and so were the college bowl games we wanted to see. We didn't have to choose. Those watching the NBA or NCAA basketball were also accommodated.Always a good time at Arizona Cafe.

Cross Street has the best Korean fried chicken in San Diego, IMHO ... one of the best in the United States. We've eaten lunch here several times and enjoyed it every time. The chicken wings are done perfectly, double fried, and tossed in one of 9 sauces (or Plain). We enjoy the two hottest sauces -- Seoul Spicy and Thai Chili. One of our favorite dishes here is the Seoul Spicy Sandwich (5/5), which is battered and fried chicken thigh, Seoul Spicy sauce, cole slaw, and pickled radish on a brioche bun. Excellent! But Cross Street is more than Korean fried chicken. It has a full bar and good beer selection, a varied menu, and TVs for sports viewing. There's both indoor and patio seating. Service tends to be very good.
Visit Restaurant Page"It was okay, the order took quite a while even when placing mobile orders. They don't really drain the chicken so when opening it to eat there's a big puddle of oil. The season I got was lemon pepper, it's good but they over seasoned my chickens and corns when it said regular seasoning. Place is clean and empty barely anyone in the front to take order."
"Hooleys reminded me of many similar places in many different cities and, well, it was always right here, right in the town. It has the same touch, same ambience, same style, however you wanna call it to be an Irish restaurant/pub. Menu has got all the favorites one can think of. I'd love live music if they play here. I've heard they do. It's right next to the theater and you've got all the parking lot to yourself."
"The restaurant is clean and bright. Parking can be a challenge at times. This Korean fried chicken style restaurant has a variety of dishes. We loved their lunch specials with wings. Their fried rice and bimbimbap rich dish is delicious with bulgogi. Their wings are perfectly crispy and flavorful. The service was friendly and helpful."
"When I arrived there was only one waiter who was also working the bar. Despite having to man the dining room on his own he was pleasant and attentive. There was a bone-in wing special so I ordered the Seoul Wings which were tasty. I also ordered the friend shrimp basket (and I do NOT recommend that to anyone). The breading was falling off of the shrimp. If you want good seafood there's a fish market/bar/restaurant down the street on Santa Monica Ave.Otherwise, I highly recommend Dirty Birds for drinks, cheap eats and good vibes.EDIT**Updating my review to 5 stars. The owner reached out to me (unexpectedly) and modified my bill due to my review. While that wasn't the goal of my review it was greatly appreciated and I am so appreciative of the level of customer service. Especially since I'd only eaten there one hour ago. That was very kind."
"The corner suite in the Zion Market food court where Gala Chicken is now located used to be the stall for Myung In Dumplings. I never bothered to wander into the grocery section of the market to visit the former spot of Gala Chicken so I think it was a wise decision for them to move out front where they are more visible and accessible to customers. Their presence in the food court is also positive because it adds diversity to the offerings. Having tried a couple of Korean fried chicken (KFC) competitors on Convoy St, I used those experiences as benchmarks to compare the products from here. I selected a regular order of the Soy Sweet wings which came as eight pieces. The crust wasn't as light and crispy as one of the other places, and the size of the wings were smaller than the other place. In my opinion, Gala Chicken ranks behind the local top KFC competition which was why I gave them a three star rating."
"Delicious pizza at grandstand Pizza go see Gus he will make you the best pizza. Absolutely delicious!"
"The best customer service for 1 person working behind the register and giving the orders and the cook is fast with the orders and the food was delicious but the young lady behind the counter says it all very polite and respectful and very fast it's amazing to get this type of service ne where these days now very satisfying for a Friday evening out with the family so thank u so much for the great service yanitza"
"4 star overall, driven largely by their friendly and attentive service and the nice environment for a work lunch meeting. This place is in Pacific Highlands Ranch and oddly enough was not that busy during the lunch hour.We ordered right at the stand at the door and took our number to a table of our choice. Sadly, this location did not serve chicken strips even though they used the same menu as the convoy location which includes strips. I ordered Japchae instead. The food came out quickly and they packed it in Togo containers, even for dine in, as if anticipating that you may save a bit to bring home. The Japchae was a bit on the sweet side but the ratio of ingredients to rice noodle was good. The rice noodle was a bit soft and overcooked. Sure enough, I saved half to bring back. Our server was fantastic, he was friendly, efficient, and came by just the perfect amount of times to make sure our water cups were filled."
"Friendly customer service and super yummy food. I had the Philly cheesesteak, french fries and buffalo chicken wings. It was all super delicious. Good energy here. I will definitely return."
"Was in the area as there was a bioluminescence sighting in the area. I was craving something light and thankfully they had this dope pizza join in the area.AMBIANCE:Parking: Street and neighborhood parking.Seating: Inside and outside shaded patio seating. There may be a couple of pizza spots here but this is well rounded especially you just want a place to hang out and chill.TIPS:* Check out their daily specials!"
"I really want some great food in Alpine. Unfortunately, this place fell flat. Not much has changed inside from old tenant. Bright flatscreens with the menu and a rather cold decor. Food is ordered at the counter and a number is given... grab a table.I ordered garlic noodles with tofu. Where do I start? Thick spaghetti that was broken into smaller pieces before boiling - ugh. The sauce was not really flavorful and fresh garlic has never seen this dish. Felt like a Sysco paste had been tossed in. The tofu had been sitting in a pre prepped state for who knows how long and was more shriveled than Granny Clampett. We would love to support our local places and will come back to try the wings. Opening a restaurant is a hard thing but as the consumer, I would prefer three good dishes to 25 mediocre."
"Got a small order Boneless Chicken-Original Golden Chicken(8 pieces). I really love how well they are fried. Super juicy and crunchy! All at the same time. The food here, delicious. Minus one star for the service. It's my first time here, so I looked over the menu while ordering just to make sure I got everything I wanted. She kept rushing me and asking is that all for you (I was clearly looking up at the menu and there was no line behind me). After taking my order she goes to the kitchen and takes some fries to eat. Comes back out and plays with her phone. Maybe thats a norm there. I like how this place is spacious. Lots of room for people to sit and enjoy their KFC and drinks! Highly recommend the food is delicious!!!"
"I really loved their salt and pepper wings, they were so juicy and full of flavor. The sauce options are great too, and I love how they're made in house. The buffalo chicken mac and cheese fries are massive and so loaded full of deliciousness. They have an amazingly extensive tap list that goes great with their food offerings."
"Surprisingly better than I expected. 4.5 round down for the price being a little on the high end. We ordered to go and hubster said the manager/ owner was very kind and gave the extra tomato salsa/ coleslaw when he arrived to pick up. Cheese balls are a must. Crispy crunchy outside with a touch of sweetness from the cheese dust. We liked this a lot. The boneless chicken are breast meat chicken chunks. We were expecting strips. But the pieces are big and meaty and moist. Preference was for the wings with bones. Original was not bad but pretty basic. Similar to the green bag of chicken nuggets chunks from Costco that social media parallels to chick filet.Kids loved the corn cheese and honey butter chicken chunks. Hubster liked the spicy wings. It was a kick spicier than gochujjang (korean red pepper paste. Good solid gentle burn.I liked the jalapeño mayo. It's messy to eat but delicious. All in all we were pretty surprised. It's definitely better than the chicken place that used to be there and completely different style. Notably different and better. Do recommend and will return for korean chicken cravings."
"This is a neat little hole in the wall bar that has a lot of personality. It is located just off of downtown San Diego's Gaslamp strip. There is metered street parking right out front of the bar. There is also a commercial garage and other metered street parking within a reasonable walking distance. The bar has a small patio area out front, a dining area and a full bar with seating. The bar/dining area is dimly lit and has a bunch of televisions for you to watch. You will also find that it is decorated with draft beer handles on the ceiling and there is a digital juke box and ATM on site. The bar also serves you typical bar food that includes: burritos, burgers, wraps, salads, Philly's, club sandwiches and wings. They have late night happy hour on select food and drinks and the kitchen is open late, which brought me here. The two bartenders working the night of my visit were awesome. They were very friendly and attentive.I ordered some teriyaki sriracha, with a side of lemon pepper fries. It took about 12 minutes for me to get my food and it was fresh and hot. The wings and fries were so delicious. They were packed with flavor. I highly recommend both. They host many pay per view UFC fight viewing parties here too (for a fee). I like this spot. I am glad that I was able to eat diner here. The food was finger licking (literally it was). This bar was very low key and chill. They had sports playing on the television and music playing in the background. I highly recommend checking this spot out."
"First Yelp review and this place deserves one. What brought me into this business was the sight of seeing a group on the beach carrying a massive pizza box that looked like it needed a forklift to carry. Myself and two companions made our way to this establishment and approached the order counter. We were met by a gentleman and we proceeded to order their Giant sized meat lovers pizza. The gentleman doubted our abilities to eat this pizza in one sitting due to the fact the Giant sized pizza measures out to 28 inches. My groups arrogance got the best of us, as we had to accept our defeat and ask for a to-go box after we were only able to eat half of the pizza. The size of the pizza entertained me and that got two stars by itself. However, the pizza had an amazing flavor and did not lack toppings. The flavor and quality of the pizza gets another two stars. The last star goes to the atmosphere itself. It is an older looking and small restaurant, but I enjoyed it as it made me feel like less of a tourist and truly gave off the pizzeria vibes. The staff joked with us in a friendly manner and warned us the Giant sized pizza is best for "to-go" orders and meant for a group larger than three hungry and over confident individuals. Highly recommend for a fun experience and remember, bring a lot of hungry people if you dare take on the Giant pizza."
"I've been coming to Bambino's since I was a kid and still love their pizzas, salads, and apps. Although everything is delicious, my favorite pizzas in my rotation are the Alfredo, pesto, and the works. Their prices have increased over the years but you get what you pay for.I always do carry out since I'm so close to the restaurant but they offer delivery whenever I call ahead. The service is always on point and the cashiers are very nice both in person and on the phone. There's no seating inside the small restaurant but they have fun graphics to look at and a giant menu to read while you wait for your order. I highly recommend calling 15-30 minutes ahead. Warning: the good will be PIPING hot."
"Little Caesars pizza is serving up hot and ready pizzas at an affordable price all throughout the day, and most recently, they just released the pretzel crust pizza, and i knew i just had to try it!After seeing many advertisements on the internet of the all new pretzel crust pizza, I had to try it out myself and see what the hype was all about! I have always been a fan of little Caesars for the pizza, for the quality, and that it is very affordable. The pizzas are always available and most recently they offered the hot and ready deal where they make pizzas through out the day to where you can just drop by the store and pick one up and be out of the store in no time with dinner in your hands. To be honest, the one thing I did dislike about the pizzas was the crust, but with the pretzel crust, it's a whole new pizza!I came through around noon and asked for a pretzel pepperoni, and he told me it would be about 10 minutes to make. I went ahead and waited and observed the store. They have a pick-up box inside where you can download the app and order food through it and pick it up straight from the store. Inside, they also have cold drinks in the fridges for purchase, and they also offer nice tasty dough cookie treats. The hot n readys for the pretzel crust are available from 4 to 6 pm due to the dinner rush and busyness of the store. After 10 minutes was up, my beautiful box was presented to me, and I was out the door. The pizza was everything I imagined but better! It was garnished with pretzel salt and had 2 types of cheese that were your typical mozzeralla cheese and also a yellow cheese sauce dip cheese you would dip your pretzel in. The pretzel dough was perfect and spongy and had a nice snap back when biting into the crust. The pizza had ample pepperonis on it, and the cheese to sauce ratio was perfect!Overall, it was a great pizza to devour, and im glad i got to try the pizza before they discontinue it, so head on over to you nearest little caesars and pick you up one or two. Customer service was average for a fast food place and the store seemed clean and the staff was great."
"Young man at counter on 5/15/24 2:20pm gave superb customer service to everyone walking in. Got my food quick. Kitchen and eating space looks to be kept clean. No funny smells. Good job. Best Popeye's I've been too."
"Another new Pho place located in Santee and a welcome addition as there are only 3 other places that I am aware of that serve Pho in that city.Great customer service, and it was good to hear that they have 3 owners that all do their part. The one lady knew all of the people from the legendary Pho Hoa on 4717 El Cajon Blvd. That is my most favorite Pho place on this planet but can't always go there. This place was clean, well organized, loved the decor and can't say a single negative thing about this place. Pho was amazing, ample pieces of meat, their egg rolls had a ton of meat in the middle and were super crispy, the way I love them. One of the owners talked to me about Phu Quoc which looks like a such a beautiful island near Cambodia. For sure will be back!"
"This tavern is located in downtown San Diego. They have metered street parking and commercial lots nearby. There is bar seating available inside and they have a relatively small dining area. The place is two levels, but the second floor only has the restrooms and a small lounge/waiting area. There is also a nice patio here with seating that over looks the sidewalk and the bar, which has windows that can be opened up.We came here to watch the game and eat lunch since they have a ton of televisions. I do not know if this is a thing here or they were just short handed during my visit, but they do not have table service. We had to find a table then go up to the bar to place our orders. They serve typical pub food including fish, chicken, burgers, salads and sandwiches.I ordered the Inferno Burger with tots. It took about 12 minutes to get my food. The burger was hot, fresh and delicious. The tots were pretty good, but some of them were overcooked. The portions are huge and everyone in my group was very satisfied with their lunch too. The staff just did their job. They were not rude and not overly nice. They were just down the middle. One issue that I have was that all the windows and door were open in the tavern and it was a chilly day. I would say in the 40s, which made the inside of the place very cool. It was not unbearable, but was noticeable. This place has some savory food and drinks and is the place to be if you want to watch the big game, which ever game that is for you."
"The previous hot chicken shop that occupied this East Village corner suite was one of my favorites in town. They set a pretty high bar so it caught my attention when I heard a new business was going to continue this style of food. This is Wicked Chicken's third location, but the first in San Diego. There was a U-shaped central bar with eight stools where you could sit and watch the sporting events on the screens. A selection of at least a dozen craft beers was available on tap. Several small tables were scattered in the main area as well as in a separate room for inside seating. At my visit last month, one of the co-owners was on duty. He warmly greeted me and showed a genuine interest in talking about the menu. Chicken wings, tenders, sandwiches, chicken & waffles, salads, snacks, and sides were the savory offerings. Fourteen different sauces were available, however the heat level was not indicated on the menu screen on the wall. You had to refer to a card next to the register to determine how spicy each sauce was. I decided to do savory and sweet by ordering the Wicked Chicken & Waffles. Two tenders were served on top of a waffle with any sauce choice. Honey BBQ was my selection to keep with the savory/sweet theme. The size of the tenders was large while the crust was decent although I have tasted crispier versions. The chicken meat retained good moisture so my batch did not have the same problem as a few other reviewers had experienced.I read from the other two stores that there was a Wicked Challenge in which customers were dared to eat ten of the spiciest wings. If the challenge was successfully completed, then an exclusive coin was the reward that could be used for future discounts."
"Dinner tonight was another hit out of the park! The catfish nuggets were hotter (temperature-wise) than the sun, even though my husband drove them from Santee to our home in Lemon Grove. Perfect texture... almost as if they arrived from a fishing trip. The livers were cooked just right, again! My mom got a full 3-piece chicken dinner and ate almost all of it - she said that, "it was just too good for words." My hubby enjoyed the popcorn chicken this time around; he liked it too.I promise I will try something different next time, although it's hard to change from yumminess you enjoy every time!"
