"I ran into this Kebabery at the Helix Brewery and ordered a lamb and beef Döner kebab with a terrific blend of authentic Turkish spices. I say authentic because the spice mix actually comes all the way from Turkey. The Döner kebab was all about those Turkish flavors. They aggressive in a very good way and packed a touch of heat as well. The heat was subtle but definitely was felt on the palate. As a result, the lamb and beef were very flavorful. The Döner kebab also came with a familiar yogurt sauce or a Tzatziki which not only tasted great but also complimented the Turkish spices and added as a gentle cooling affect. Although the beef and lamb tasted good, I did feel they both could of been a little more tender. The Döner kebab also came with fresh lettuce and red onions. They served it on a toasted flat bread that had great flavor and texture. The gent who runs the Local Kebab is very friendly and passionate about his trade and for good reason too. You can find the Local Kebab at a variety of local breweries so I suggest you check out the L. Kebab's website."
"Angel and his partner are amazing! We live in North County, San Diego - aka Escondido. We had Saya tacos catering at a friends going away party last June so I got their details - which I'll gladly share with you - and hired them for our daughters grad/birthday bash. They are reasonably priced and their meats are delicious!! They provide plates, napkins and utensils. They also packed everything up for me to continue serving the guests. They are very family oriented and fantastic! The handmade tortillas and their salsas are like no other! Give them a call!"

I decided pizza was a definite crowd pleaser and found SD Pizza online and decided to give them a call. JT was awesome in helping me plan for everything and communication couldn't have been better. He even emailed me the morning of the event to tell me rain was sadly in the forecast and he would be coming prepared just in case. I ordered appetizers and 4 different kinds of pizza from JT - he set up tables in the backyard and had everything ready for the party. When his time was almost up, he even asked me for some trays of my own to leave us extra pizza for the rest of the night. Amazing tasting pizza and great service - will absolutely look forward to using them again!"
"Let me tell you a story:Yesterday, I hosted a potluck at my company. Various employees signed up to bring enough items to feed 45 people. Well, not all of them were able to. Various reasons interfered with their schedules and we just didn't have enough food to serve everyone. Last minute. What do I do? I phone Gourmet Island Bistro almost in a panic and tell them my dihlemma. They suggested their garden salad and pasta salads to compliment the food I already had on hand. Me? I was trying to make sure everyone had enough food and salad was right on the money. I placed my order site unseen. (You can do that when you are calling an establishment that has aways come through for you). I had never had their large pasta and side salads before. Oh My God! Lets just say that I filled up on that delectable pasta salad. Now I've had pasta salads before and to be honest, I'm not a fan. But this salad was waaay over the top delicious. The olives were the star of the show. Plump and flavorful cuts of olives with the rest of the seasonings and pasta cooked to the perfect consistency. When I say perfect consistency, I'm talking firm but soft not firm, hard and undercooked. The garden salad was another salad that was over the top. Various types of plump cherry tomatoes or red, yellow and purple with fresh slices of cucumber and onions and romaine lettuce. I didn't eat any because I was hooked on the pasta salad. But it sure was pretty and my team loved it. As good as the salads were, it was the fact that they did not pull the whole 24 hour notice for a large specialty salad thing I hear so often from retaurants that cater. The fact that they knew I had a need and were there to help. I didn't ask for salad, they heard my problem and fixed it with salad. Now that's service. Thanks Guys."
"Nearly a year ago I was fortunate enough to stumble upon this Gem of the City. One expects the sandwiches to be consistent and the soups as well, after all, you simply follow the recipe. But for the service to ALSO be consistent is rather unique in San Diego. If you eat out a lot you know what I'm talking about. Poor Service 60% of the time. But not here, here they always greet you with a smile and are so helpful. My only sandwich place. Easy on the wallet, great parking, offering super quality Roast Beef. I only order the R.B., can not speak to other proteins."
"Grateful I found Big Boyz on yelp! I was planning my baby shower of approx ~50 ppl, and the park location I booked my event at requires any outside caterers/vendors to have insurance. I contacted a few other taquizas before finding Big Boyz, without luck. Big Boyz responded almost immediately, included a PDF via email that has all info about their services and options, and confirmed they have insurance. I didn't need to ask a million questions, as they were all on the PDF form, but even w/my additional questions, they responded right away. The park required me to obtain a different certificate of proof of insurance than I provided, and Big Boyz obtained it right away from their insurance company, no questions asked! It was a bit last minute planning on my end and Big Boyz were so smooth to coordinate with, and eased my stress.Day of they arrived on time, set up on time, served all of my guests without any issues, tacos were great. I really couldn't have asked for more! Thank you!!"
"We hired California Grill for our son's graduation party and the food was a HIT! Pati was so friendly and communicated with me whenever I text her. We had the party catered for (50) people and she also provided a Horchata and a Watermelon Agua Fresca. Tita made homemade flour and corn tortillas and let me tell you; they were INCREDIBLE! They arrived on time and began setting up for our party start time. We also added the homemade churros and the party goers couldn't get enough of it. There was plenty of food for our guests and enough leftovers (thank goodness Bc the last thing I wanted was to run out of food) to make breakfast quesadillas the next day. We will definitely hired Pati and her team again. Thank you for the delicious food and experience"
"Rodeos Catering has been catering for my family for over a decade now . My beloved late sister n law was always in charge of setting it up . With deep sorrow I was appointed to set up the food catering for her farewell celebration at the park .I called as soon I knew and unfortunately they were all booked up but Noemi , who always assisted my sister n law asked if this was for a funereal or party and I said a funeral for the Perez fam. She immediately knew I was referring to my dear sisters passing . She said I will do it , we will make it work . I can with certainty guarantee you we will be able to book you in , in addition she was able to get me a discount. She said she was such a lovely person , as all those who knew my sister would say . Noemi was very empathetic and eager to help with anything . I was so happy to know they could help . The caterers showed up on time and had everything set up just right . They were very nice and the tacos were bomb ! The quesadillas were super popular! Thanks Rodeos!"
"Gabina's sure makes some tasty Filipino eats. Every time I see them, they have their grill fired up with some tasty Filipino meats on a stick being cooked up after their intensive marinade. That being said, that is what I had here, BBQ chicken skewer. The chicken is marinaded in a soy concoction with added seasonings which gives it great flavor. The meat offered that nice char flavor and was tender through out. It also had great color. Well done gents. They also offer ground pork lumpias, turon or banana fritters, veggie egg rolls, chicken adobo, and pancit. They offer all the good eats that Filipino cuisine has to offer and then some..The gents are always super friendly. You can find them at local Farmers' Markets and at the Lane Field Park Food Market on Sundays."
"URBN Catering was fantastic! Michael was wonderful in assisting me scheduling their service for our event. The pizza was so good. They even catered vegan pizza for some of the guests, as well as salad and tons of cannolis! Their chef was wonderful as well as other staff members. I will always brag about your service!"
"Melanie is so sweet and awesome to work with!!! She was extremely helpful and flexible with the menu. We ordered her Hawaiian BBQ Pulled Pork, pancit, and of course lumpia with sweet chili sauce! She personally delivered everything right on time and although it was our first try at Filipino food EVERYONE LOVED IT. Our guests fought over the leftovers. I'm only sorry I didn't take any photos before everyone dug in. I would definitely order from Melanie again and you should too!"
"We contacted Jalena and Anthony almost last minute and were so fortunate they had availability. 5 stars hands down for communication, price, setup and of course the FOOD!!!! The chicken and tri-tip were exceptional as well as the sides we had. If you are looking for amazing BBQ, exceptional service and a great experience overall, I highly recommend Rock 'n Rowan."

I found this business posted up at Ale Smith and when having some beers this really hit the spot. Just while ordering in front you immediately smell the flavors and aromas from everything that he is cooking. I tried the Lamb and Beef Doner Kabob which was fresh and tasty! Service was a bit on the slower side, but nonetheless for yummy Turkish food patience is a virtue. I highly recommend and will return for more when I catch this food truck around town.

Yesterday for Lucia's birthday, Saya Tacos and Catering fed our guests! I must say they did a great job! The food was yummy and all prepared at our house, they arrived a little early and started serving food right on time, wrapped up and left us the leftovers. My husband ate 11 tacos so they definitely served 60 people really well. 3 types of meat, 2 salsas and many other yummy additions. I highly recommend them for any celebration. Thank you for great food!

This Pizza company catered an event at my work and it was seriously the best several types of pizza I tried that day (pepperoni, meat pizza and bbq chicken). Every time i said I was full, I ended up waiting five minutes and then trying a different type of pizza because they all looked and smelled so good. I'm seriously thinking of having them again for even a six year old birthday party!

I love this place! It's like a lil mom and pop shop and the family is so nice. I love their sandwiches and breakfast sandwiches. My favorite thing to order is the Vegetarian sandwich on Sourdough add bacon. lol yes bacon with my vegetarian. Clearly I'm not a vegetarian but I do like all the veggies including sprouts with cream cheese and avocado and of course my bacon. Stop and try it and let me know if you liked it!

My friend took me to this taco stand and my goodness... everything from the tacos to the agua Fresca was freaking delicious!! They do small one shell tacos and you have your choice of meats! (On Saturday's the tacos are $1 ;) ). The al pastor was awesome. After they give you your tacos in a tray you have free choice of toppings! The sauces they offered are absolutely mouthwatering. They have this creamy red orange sauce that has a hint of spice, a green salsa shade and a creamy avocado sauce (my fav)You can also get their strawberry agua Fresca which has bits of strawberry in it and was just the right amount of refreshing. They also gave us a side of seven seas soup which was piping hot and absolutely delicious!!! I love this taco stand and hope to be back soon.
Visit Restaurant Page"Yo Yo Bento was a new truck to out business park and was selling Hawaiian / Japanese fusion. I was hoping to find something like Surf Brother's Teriyaki but seeing they sold a Hawaiian bento box I thought I'd just go for that. I ordered the Teri's Yaki Bento Box (Grilled chicken marinated, tempura slaw, macaroni salad, and a small Katsu sandwich). I think I would have nixed the Tempura slaw, it wasn't very good. Macaroni Salad was on the sweet side, the chicken was a pretty small portion. The Katsu sandwich was good however.I think if I try this truck again I'd stick with a Katsu bowl. Other people at work didn't like the food very much."
"Tacos (and quesadillas) were a hit! These guys were easy to coordinate with, they were clean, quick set up and take down and very nice. All around great experience!"
"Worked with Ben, Oren, and the Foodiz team daily for years to cater our lunch and events. They are extremely reliable, easy to work with, and most importantly, they make delicious (and healthy!) food wit high quality ingredients. We regularly received compliments on our food program and I am grateful to them for everything they have provided us over the years! Always receptive to feedback and worked to provide us with exactly what was requested. Highly recommend working with them for any kind of event!"
"Please don't let my terrible photos stop you from eating this delicious BBQ. Yes, the prices are a little steep (similar to the prices charged by ALL food trucks) but you get a TON of absolutely delicious BBQ.We tried the pulled pork sandwich and the smoked beef sandwich. They were both terrific and you get an absolutely MOUND of meat with both dishes. The BBQ sauce used was a tad sweet but not too sweet. Both proteins were incredibly tender and juicy. We also tried the mac and cheese and beans and, as with the meats, you get a ton of whatever side you order (you get one side per plate). The mac was a little dry but still delicious. The beans were smoky and OUT OF THIS WORLD TERRIFIC. I'm not kidding. These are life-changing beans, if there can be such a thing.Frequently parked outside the Lost Abbey in San Elijo, this is a truck you want to check out. The food was served very quickly after ordering so no long wait like with most food trucks."
"You have 3 options of where to grab a bite to eat when you're on UCSD medical campus. I work at UCSD and this is my #1 spot. Sometimes I purposely "forget" to bring my lunch because I wanna have lunch here! Pacific cafe has the goods. Burgers, bowls, pasta, paninis, salads, they might even have chicken tikka masala as their special. Best part is, it's all delicious. You can check online for their daily specials. My favorite things to order are the roasted veggie panini, teriyaki burger, chipotle chicken pasta and every salad on the menu. The roasted veggie panini is something I crave every single day. Roasted veggies on a French roll with feta cheese and a lemon aioli. This sandwich is perfection. I think about this sandwich while we're performing a procedure sometimes. Please give it a try! Now this place has a line, 99% of the time. We usually either call our orders ahead or order online. I'm pretty sure everyone who works at UCSD knows this place has some really good food and that's why the lines are always long. The super sweet employees keep the line moving and get your orders out as quickly as they can. The family running this place is wonderful and have gained me as a customer for life! I keep mentioning that they should add sweet potato fries to the menu, fingers crossed. Check this place out if you're on campus, it's my favorite."
"This place is so cool so cute!! I'm so happy to find out this new opening place which just opened last week. They have desserts, drinks and breakfast, I had a cheesecake macaron, it is probably the best macaron I've ever had in US! My husband had a drip coffee which is very delicious as well. We will come back to try their breakfast sometime soon!"
"I booked this place two days in a row and on very very short notice, but the owner was able to make it work. Everything was super good and a lot of the guests were impressed with the taste and presentation. Andrea, you did one hell of a job! I'll be booking you again soon!Must tried:Tres leches cake cupsTiramisu cookiesSalted brownies Pineapple cupcakes (super cute!) I ate the flower garnishes even though I wasn't supposed to. Haha I did not get sick."
"My son's Cub Scout pack was having a year end camping trip and I was tasked with finding a caterer. Tacos El Gabacho was willing to make the drive to our campground, and helped me with the logistics of getting them into the county park. All of the food was amazing, some of the best tacos I've ever had, beans were so good, great salsas, everyone was extremely pleased with the food. I can't recommend them enough! If you need a taco caterer give them a call."
"Tasty pizza pies that serve a great cause. Support Big Willies in his desire to provide financial support for hospitality workers as profits from his events are directly going to assist someone in need. Besides the great cause, Big Willie's pizza is actually out of this world. Truffle one was my favorite, but it was very hard to pick one because allllllll the pizzas are equally delicious. Willie also does his own set up and it is so so cute and matches the theme perfectly!"
"Jaime with Tuga & Jp's Bbq & catering is a gem, not only os he an outstanding cook, he's super kind. We have utiized his catering service on several occasions and we were never disappointed. His brisket, macncheese and scalloped potatoes e addictively delicious. I will always recommend"
"I've passed by this place a few times and seen this on Yelp. It doesn't seem too flashy but I guess it's a Linda Vista local favorite.AMBIANCE:Parking: Street parking and private lot (but very limited)Seating: Not much seating. Moreover to go and depending on the day or event they share tables in the front with shaded seating for 4 groups.Vibes: Linda Vista doesn't have much of a downtown. It's a neighborly community area with plazas here and there. This spot is across the more popular plaza where Farmer's market or the Linda Vista Festival. Great place for grab and go or for catering.FOODCombo #1 - Pancit, Lumpia, Adobo (Recommend)The pancit was pretty simple but the noodles were soft and flavored. I cook a mean adobo, but this was a comforting, very simple, subtly sweetbut more on the savory vinegar side, and of course, spiced with bay leaf. The lumpia had a great crunch to it.CUSTOMER SERVICE:Great! Friendly people and quick with the service.TL; DR OVERALL:3.5 Stars. Good prices, simple selections, and delicious food. This may disappoint people as it's not as flashy but it gets the job done as it's an accessible Filipino food place in this neck of the woods. Most memorable was the lumpia, served at an affordable price with a rewarding crunch. #FilipinoFoodMovementTIPS:* Call ahead of time, they generally do catering orders.* Cash Only"
"Eva is an amazing pastry chef! We enjoyed the cake tasting experience and appreciated the variety of flavors available to choose from. She did an amazing job with decorating our cake and setting everything up so it looked beautiful on our dessert table! Everyone kept raving about her cookies and I whole heartedly agree! So delicious!! I also appreciated her insight and suggestion to not do just cupcakes but to go for a combination of mini cupcakes and cookies! Our guests love the variety and flavor options!"
"I am a fan of nachos in general, and I am huge fan of the nacho combinations Gnarly Nacho's offer, including the ability to modify any of their signature offerings or being able to create your own.I choose the regular size classic with regular tortilla chips and added a few items such as bacon, cilantro, onions, grated Mexican cheese, and guacamole, in addition to the classic nacho sauce and sprinkling of Colby shredded cheese for $8. You can get a very large size for sharing for $12. As you can see, the nachos not only looked terrific but they also tasted fantastic. The combination of the tasty cheese sauce and the shredded cheese was a great idea. The bacon pieces were not your typical bacon bits, no these were actually cooked chopped bacon portions that tasted great. The guacamole was creamy and well seasoned, the cilantro and onions freshly chopped, and the grated Mexican cheese added a nice saltiness to the nachos. I did feel they went a little overboard on the sour cream. In hindsight, I would of like to have seen more shredded cheese than sour cream.Yes, they use ingredients that you can find at a typical grocery store, but it's all about the experience and having someone serving you up a tasty plate of nachos while you enjoy a cold beer at a local brewery."
"Love El Indio- shredded beef burritoThis is our must stop for SD. I drive from AZ @ 5 or more times a year. This is the first spot we hit. Love the food -Nothing beats this place!Huge burritos Delish quesadillaSalsa barFriendly staff, have patience since this place is hugely popular."
"So good came to BNS tonight and had their food !The guy running the place is really nice and helped us decide the best deal for me my husband and 2 kids .The food was really good!"
"This is one of our favorite taco shops in San Diego. We've picked up dinner from here several times, even choosing to bypass closer shops in Mira Mesa to hop over to PQ. I usually get the California burrito but have also tried the fish tacos and enchiladas and I enjoy them all."
"It feels like forever since there's been a Filipino restaurant in my area and I was really happy to try this one. I was definitely not disappointed. They have both vegan and meat options to choose from. I've been by a couple times now and everything I've tried has been tasty and fresh. It's especially nice knowing that I don't have to drive far to get a fix. The service is good and friendly. They're located in the food court near the restrooms and water fountain. While the menu is somewhat small, it's still got a lot of people's favorite options like lumpia, pancit, and bbq skewers. If you're in the area it's worth checking out!"
"Great vibe, variety, and awesome cocktails made by bartenders that actually know what they are doing!"
"We were at Downtown Gaslamp and we found this place called "URBAN INDIA", it was perfect for our craving that day. It was actually our second time trying Indian food. We chose to sit down at their outdoor sitting, I wanted to see how Crazy downtown was at night in this area. Our server came and I had so many questions about their food. We made sure our food has spice, but not too much 'coz my son just started to eat Indian food lately. We ordered food that was recommended by our server and got: *MIXED GRILL*BUTTER CHICKEN *BIRYANI VEGETABLES *NAAN We loved everything that we had, our server listened well to the specific spice level that I wanted 'coz my son can't tolerate too much spicy food, if it was just me I would request a very spicy one.The BUTTER CHICKEN was so delicious, it had a mild spice, it went well with both the rice and the naan. Our BIRYANI vegetables also has a good kick of spice, but it was also so good. Omg the meats on our MIXED GRILL were tender and had so so so much Flavor on each meat We enjoyed what we tried here and we will be back for more to try what they have, next time we will try their Chicken Tika Masala :) Parking was the only issue we encountered , so hard to find one around ."
"Fantastic BBq. I had the puled pork sandwich when they were cooking up food at the BNS brewery for a Charity Event. The ribs weren't done yet unfortunately but the pork was fantastic. Their bbq sauce is great also. Which is so important to me. A tad sweet but not too much. The pork was soft an juicy and their buns were really soft also. The coleslaw was perfect, and on top of the Pork was extra good. Super nice people, clean and sanitized area. What can I say, I would definitely come back for the ribs!"
"Scott! Nicely done on the Oklahoma Fried Onion Smash Burger!I ran into Scott's Burgers at One Season Brewing Co. in Grantville as a pop up where I had the said smashed burger and it was delicious. Scott uses his on proprietary blend of beef and seasoning which is tasty. The smashed burger comes with a lot of thinly sliced onions that are smashed right into the beef patty as it is searing on the hot griddle. The burger is not only delicious, but offers great texture via the smashing and the searing. The burger is simple and delicious. It also comes with American cheese, your choice of sauce, and pickles. You can also a bacon for a few more bucks and or double the patty for another $4. Service was keen and Scott, the owner, is very proud of the quality burgers that he offers."
"I had the pleasure of enjoying some of this good ice cream at work! A partner of my job was able to hire this truck to come to our parking lot and give us a cone each for free, I think for about an hour. The swirled soft serve was creamy and perfect for a hot day. I really enjoyed the oreo crumble on top. You can get your cone in a cup, which I recommend. They don't just have ice cream cones, but also floats, slushies, banana splits, sundaes, and even nachos.I appreciate the employee that had to serve so many of us at one time! Hopefully I can get some of the King's Kream again soon ;)"
"I was fortunate enough to run into this true natured BBQ food vendor at the Burning Beard Brewery. The proprietor cooks all his meats the traditional way with hot flavored smoke. In fact, he smokes the meats inside modified re-engineered barrels that had been expertly designed for BBQ. I could not help myself and I ordered the smoked tri tip nachos that not only came with heavenly medium temped smoked tr tip, but with a house made baked bean made with beer. The tri tip was very well prepared and had a mild smoky flavor brought on by the quality avocado wood locally harvested and supplied by avocado growers. The meat was a perfectly smoked and was very tender and had the right moisture level. The smoked meat was topped with a drizzle of tasty BBQ sauce and laid over the the homemade baked beans and crispy tortilla chips. The beans were tender, well seasoned, and had a subtle flavor of a craft beer. Well done. The nachos came with a handsome amount of crispy tortilla chips, but one thing these nachos needed was perhaps a light garnish of chopped peppery scallions or a light sprinkle of finely shredded cheese, not just for color but for that little extra flavor profile. The gent running the smoked meat shop or real BBQ haven was a gent and quite informative regarding his trade."
