"R&B Tea was my go to boba spot for my drinks when they were open in Convoy. After that plaza was closed due to some fire, I am glad that this location here exists! It is smaller compared to its Convoy counterpart that had more seating and lounge space. This one is more of a grab and go and with a self-ordering screen near the entrance if you want to avoid ordering at the counter. I decided on a Roasted Oolong Cream Tea and my boyfriend ordered a Brown Rice Tea. The tea flavor was prominent and the sweetness was adjusted well. The tea options here are plentiful as well as milk based drinks, fruit teas, and snacks like bubble waffle. They used to have a Tiramisu foam at the Convoy location that I wish they offered here. Although I wasn't sure, there definitely were some changes to the menu. Good to know that R&B Tea is still around and I would stop by for tea again."
"We came here for their grand opening and was given the cutest Boba Tea sling as a little gift...super cute! For those watching their sugar intake, you can control the amount of liquid sweetener added to your drink. Zero, 25%, 50%, 75% too 100%. Choose your poison! I always order their Ube Milk Tea over light ice, no additional sugar with grass jelly to add a touch of sweetness and it's perfect for me. They offer a large variety of coffee and tea drinks, smoothies, yogurt drinks, slushes etc. with your choice of toppings: popping boba, grass jelly, boba, cheese cream, egg pudding and plenty more. The options are endless!Service is spot on. Parking, tiny as it is shared with other restaurants and businesses so plan accordingly or you'll have to park in the street. Will definitely return!"

Both drinks were good, but if I had to pick a favorite, it would be the Orange Peach Oolong. The drink was both fragrant and refreshing. This boba shop was very clean and has lots of tables, perfect for students to bring their laptops to study (which was what my daughter did while I ran some errands).Service was fast and friendly, and lots of free parking in a shared lot!"
"Yo!!! This place was fire!!! The best Dan Dan noodles! The boys love the crispy chicken and my house noodle is sooo good! Everything was delicious and perfect! Friendly service from the owners. The place is clean too, you can seat yourself. They even have boba drinks that I will try next time.Anywho... we'll be back here next week."
"The drinks have never disappointed. Ambiance is chill. Service is good. This is by far the best Ding Tea shop I have tried. The San Marcos and Vista locations don't even come close to this one."
"Street side Thai kitchen is a fabulous Thai restaurant located in the heart of North Park. You definitely don't want to sleep on this place, they have delicious food, super friendly service, and I appreciate that they are open late.We stumbled upon this restaurant after a late night music venue attendance. On a Saturday night past 11pm options were limited on this block. We weren't feeling a bar type restaurant and we were happy when yelp pointed us in this direction showing they were open until midnight. The restaurant itself is very cute and welcoming. Traditional Thai system decor and the atmosphere was causal. Very comfortable as the tables and booths were spread out. We were also really impressed with how large the menu was here as you could easily find something for anyone. The staff here are very friendly and hospitable. They welcomed us and sat us quickly (it was late so the restaurant was empty). The waitress was quick to provide us with menus and get our drinks going. The gentlemen that took our order was also super friendly and helped me with suggestions when I was looking for their most popular pork belly dish.Between the four of us we ordered crispy garlic wings, crispy pork pad see ew, a pork belly dish with rice & a fried egg, and pad Thai. The food here is phenomenal. Truly delicious Thai food with great range in flavors. The dishes were plentiful, great portions. Also despite it being late into the night, they put a lot of love into their dishes. The pork belly dish I had was phenomenal (sorry can't find the name of it). It was a crispy & fatty bits of pork belly in a tasty sauce, with some veggies and fried Thai basil leaves, with some white rice and an over medium fried egg. Heavenly. All of the food was great. I would say staff, food, and ambiance were all a 5/5. I'd highly recommend this spot if your looking for good yet causal Thai food in SD. Definitely adding this spot on the SD rotation list!"
"Pretty bumping at this place on a Wednesday night at 10:30PM. LOTS of very different oolong teas makes it an interesting tea house. Not your typical boba shop with black milk tea or Thai tea.Super friendly staff. The server Michelle and barista Jessica are fantastic! Would recommend checking it out :)"
"Paid by card. Bafang Dumpling is in the same plaza as Sunmerry and offers a lot of plaza parking. I've been here several times, weekdays and weekends, and it's usually busy but the line goes quickly and there are always places to sit. The staff is nice as well.I've tried the wonton soup, signature noodles, mala noodles, potstickers, pork chop, and old fashioned noodles. I like the wonton soup, mala noodles, and potstickers the best. They provide a good portion of noodles so they are very filling.Overall I would recommend this place and would go back."
"This place advertises lunch specials from 11-3, but the last time I was here, they told me they were no good and to order something better from their regular menu. This time, I tried to pay with a DiscoverCard and was asked if I had cash. I asked if they did not accept credit cards and was told that they did but not Discover, so I paid with a Visa instead and kept my cash for places that don't accept cards or that charge a fee for using them. The people here also often try to up-sell and add-on to anything ordered. The Buddha's Delight is a pretty good choice; the Pad Thai, not so much. I should have went to a Thai restaurant for that.... I have yet to try any of their beverages - but suspect that some might be "better" than the food on the menu."
"Been to this location a few years ago. Trying it again this time around.I ordered the passion fruit green tea. I was expecting more with a $6 drink. Drink was a bit water down and the boba was half cooked. Staff was a bit slow on the drinks. My favorite boba spot is the Ding Tea in Seattle, but this location just doesn't cut it. Parking is easy in the plaza. Not sure I'll be back in the future."
"The very first time we came here, the cups were sealed with some very thin plastic that broke and spilled our drinks all over ourselves and our car :(I'm glad they've now changed their cups and lids to something sturdier and less accident-prone.The drinks themselves are good and their brown sugar boba is very soft and sweet. The regular boba was harder and not as tasty so definitely opt for brown sugar boba when you can.For some reason all of their crème brûlée and sea salt foam has a hint of coconut milk flavor. I'm very sensitive to flavor so the combination of the coconut milk with my jasmine tea ended up tasting like Gorgonzola (blue cheese). I'm also not a fan of coconut milk in everything, which is why this time I opted for the only scenario where it makes sense: taro & Ube. There was so much good taro paste in this drink.$15 for 2 drinks is a bit pricey compared to other milk tea boba shops, but this is a luxury food.Service was always friendly each time we came. Parking is available in the small parking lot or on the street."
"Service was impeccable! Met one of the owners and she was super helpful. She went through the menu with me and gave me several options. There was Mexican music playing in the background and she said they allow their employees to make music choices, which I find is a great way to keep moral high. So excited they've expanded their choice options on their menu. They have coffee, ice cream and now tea! I ordered:Tiger milk tea Orange Passion Fruit Green Tea I really liked that I was able to adjust the sweetness on my drinks! Both were beautiful AND delicious! Very accommodating. Check these guys out!! You won't be disappointed."

Definitely an IG location to take pictures with the decorations on the wall! Casual hangout spot, I went late afternoon and like 20 kids came in after school which made it a bit loud and cramped in the small store. Lots of variety on the menu, the passionfruit green tea was tasty with half sweetness. I got the signature milk tea with boba since I just wanted a milk tea. I like the golden boba they use which has a nice blend of sweetness to chewiness. This location also has frozen macaroon ice cream which I did not get to try. Maybe I can next time! They also offer 10% discount at this location for certain professions such as healthcare workers, law enforcement, and more!

We decided to try a new boba place and I've heard about The Alley before so figured why not. The plaza that it's in has a very large parking lot although it does get a bit busy. The line moves pretty quickly and ordering was easy. I ordered the Peach Oolong Tea ($5.75) with Boba, less ice and light sweetness. They give you a receipt with your number which they will call once your order is ready. While I liked the boba flavor, they were cooked pretty unevenly, with a few of them being harder in the middle and other being fully cooked. The tea itself was good, but wasn't anything too outstanding. Just your average oolong tea with peach flavor pumped into the cup. There are only a few tables and chairs inside, so it's more a place to just order and grab your drink and then go. If you do manage to grab a table though then it's a nice place to hang out with friends or study. This is just another average boba shop, nothing really stands out about it. Yeah, i wouldn't be opposed to coming back if my friends really want to hang out here but it wouldn't be my own preferred boba shop.

There's always a first try, a first taste of new food. Here, at Dumplings N More is where I tasted Spicy Wonton for the first time. The chewy fresh dough, the well seasoned filling and then, the heat of the sauce, so delicious. A satisfying cheat to what would have been the boring meal I had planned, and now I have to stay off the avenue. If I drive past this cute restaurant, I will stop, I will order again and again.Oh, but the Smashed Cucumbers are the right complement to the wontons. Loaded with garlic, the cool bite size cucumbers are a delight.Street parking, bus, bicycle.Casual interiorA chill spot, not fast foodMy server was very nice, as she took a couple of minutes to explain the menu

I was in the area looking for proper Thai tea. I stopped at 2 different places. They both failed. I was able to find this Ding tea. A small detour from my trucking route, but worth it. Ding tea never fails. The only reason I don't go to some is because of prices differences and policies. Service here was great. Young lady was very happy and helpful. Fast too. The place is clean. I really like that. Good amount of parking. Price was about $6. But worth it because of the other two encounters I had at other local spots. Keep up the good work. Thanks for the good Thai tea.

Delicious Thai cuisine at a reasonable price, served by a very friendly staff. Casual atmosphere and comfortable seating. Pad See Ew and Khao Soi were both excellent!

Am visiting from out of town and I always struggle with finding a good boba place in a new area. But this place appeared when I searched on Google maps, 1k+ reviews and rated highly. Was not disappointed! The cashier (I think her name's Alexis?) was super patient and helpful when I was figuring out my order. I told her I wanted to get one for now and one for later (if you're not doing it like this, why lol) and she said they could shake with ice and strain the ice out. Perfect. She then let me sample different teas at 50% sweetness, loved that. I didn't know I could sample, she offered. A+ customer service. Alee, Alexis, and Freddie were working the shift when my bf and I stopped by. We stopped by around 740p on a Monday night and it was *crowded*. We managed to get parking in the plaza really easily, but this place was busy. There's actually so much seating inside, like you'd expect this of a restaurant lol, and all the seats were basically taken. When you walk in, you're hit by the pleasant aroma of tea. That's how we knew this place was gonna be good. Decor is also nice and super cute!I love that I can still taste the tea in the drinks. The limited toppings options also make it really easy to decide. Alexis was upfront about the sweetness, which helped with ordering. If you don't like stuff that's too sweet, get 50% or 75% sweet. I got duck sht with grass jelly 75% sweet and yun roast with sticky rice 75% sweet. I really liked them both! Highly recommend

Pushing my review up to 5 stars. Swung by with my daughter last night and ordered the veggie potstickers and signature noodles for me, and veggie dumplings for my daughter. After placing my order, made a run to BevMo to stock up on supplies, then headed back to Bafang. Our order was ready the moment we walked back through the door -- hot and fresh. My potstickers and noodles were excellent -- worth 5 stars for sure. My daughter really enjoyed her dumplings (she ate them all) and loved sharing my potstickers and noodles. We also enjoyed the garlic and chili sauces.I'll be back again and again -- so glad they have lots of plant-based options.
Visit Restaurant Page"This place is huge, but the other side doesn't have any tables or chairs...just empty space. We ordered buffalo wings for him and lemon pepper tenders for me. The food was ready pretty quickly, except for the ribs and fries. It was nice that they brought that out to me when it was ready. For sides, we chose the coleslaw and potato salad. The wings were very flavorful and the sauce for the ribs were good too. I also enjoyed the fries as well.I didn't care too much for the sides though. We also got an Oreo and taro smoothie. Hubby liked his, but I didn't think my drink was good. The boba was also hard. I'll probably get a drink without boba next time!"
"Used to come here often but lost my sweet tooth for few years. Came back again today many years later and their classic monster latte is still bomb as ever!"
"While I wouldn't return for the drinks, the house made desserts were memorable albeit pricey. The shop was quite empty so parking wasn't an issue. Even more so when the nearby Hidden Fish wasn't open. There was only one person manning the front and they didn't really interact with us. The front case was filled with different desserts. Returning their pudding jar in particular resulted in a $1 discount. =ORDERED=*Peach Oolong Milk Tea and Peach Jelly: the included topping had more flavor than the actual drink. Despite choosing less ice, the tea and peach flavoring tasted dilute. I would steep the tea stronger. *Brown Sugar Milk Tea: the boba was chewy and tasteless. The drink similarly was dilute. The boba recipe needs more sugar or caramelization. *Tiramisu: best for those who love the mascarpone component. Not too sweet but creamy and rich. Wished it was priced a little lower given that restaurant quality tiramisu is usually cheaper. *Durian Basque Cheesecake: best item that I tried. As a huge durian lover, it was incorporated well and generously. The filling went well with the burnt exterior. The portion was a bit small for $14 but it's a rare offering elsewhere. While I didn't think their boba was competitive to other locations on Convoy, their desserts were tasty and unique. This location seems to be cursed but I hope Sweet Vibe steps up their game to stay."
"I came during lunch time as the heat wave was hitting SD. Finally had a chance to try it out. Plenty of parking and interior is cute.I asked for the jasmine iced tea with guava flavoring. Luckily, when the worker entered the item, it showed me on the screen and noticed it said passion fruit. I corrected her and she adjusted it. I added boba and when I got the drink it was filled with a lot of boba. The boba was nice and chewy. The drink, however, was overy sweet for me. It didn't really seem like a iced tea to me. More like a slush consistency. Except there was literally 1 tiny ice in there. That was very disappointing. I didn't ask for no ice or light ice. I enjoy majority of my drinks cold, especially on that hot afternoon. It tasted like a fructose kind of sweet, which I am not a fan of. Really sad to return to work and drink it room temp basically. I don't think I will be going back. The ice would've helped but the overpowering sweetness still was too much for me."
"CHAKAA Tea Shop has managed to survive in a uber competitive environment for bubble tea stores in the Convoy District. It occupies a small suite near an internal corner of the Convoy Village Shopping Center. There wasn't a line when I showed up on a late weeknight evening. Each order was hand brewed for maximum freshness, but that led to a wait for the drink(s) to be ready. The menu card had a front and back listing cheese teas, fruit teas, milk teas, and mixed teas. The first drink I chose was a Strawberry Green Tea with house boba pearls added. The second drink was a Superfruit Tea which included fresh orange and strawberry slices. I requested 75% sugar and less ice as modifications to both choices. After about 10 minutes, both cups were ready. They were covered with a lid as opposed to a plastic seal that some places use. The taste of each tea was fine although they seemed to be less sweet than I had expected for a 3/4 sugar level. This business has been able hold its prices to fairly reasonable increases since it first opened before the pandemic. For the quality and price of the beverages, I rounded my rating to four stars for CHAKAA Tea Shop."
"I still really like this place. The lady who usually is at the cash register is really nice and has been understanding and kind every time. Recently she prepared a tofu and eggplant dish for me in a claypot. Yes, a claypot. It was sooo wonderfully piping hot and perfect for rainy weather.I look forward to finding more delicious items to try."
"Not a bad boba shop but don't go out of your way to go here. Came here because I was already in the same plaza for dinner.I got the Jade Dream which is a green thai tea with boba. The drink was just kind of flavorless and the tea was weak. But the boba was a great texture. Service is pretty friendly and quick. They have some couches and seating inside. Outside can be disturbing when there are people having their own car shows and blasting music lol. Good spot for a quick boba if you are already in this plaza. But definitely worth it to just drive to get boba elsewhere in Mira Mesa."
"First time trying this place. Ordered a White Rabbit Milk Tea - Milk Tea layered with Butterfly Tea. It was yummy. I would order it again maybe add boba too. Look forward to trying out other menu items as well."
"Great place to stop by if you are in the North Park area for a delicious and refreshing drink! Parking could be difficult, but worth it. This is a small shop that offers yogurt with a variety of toppings and a variety of drinks, including coffees and teas. For example, they have Matcha drinks, Horchata drinks, etc.I got the Chamango, and it was so mouthwatering and tasty! It included chunks of mango within the smoothie texture."
"Good selection of drinks and boba is always nice and chewy. The star of this place is popcorn chicken! Crunchy with decent (couple of big pieces) size chunks! You get a box for a good price. Staff is friendly. I'm always vibing with the music.I almost didn't want to post this, but maybe this will make sure the chicken will stay plentiful and decently priced!"
"This is a great boba place. The boba came out warm, covered in that sweet delicious brown sugar, and was so chewy and satisfying. I got the roasted brown sugar (brûlée) matcha and it was so good. The matcha had a good flavor and the brûlée sugar crystals offered a fun bite. I believe it was topped with cheese foam. My husband got cheese foam too and it wasn't our favorite. It was rather bitter and very very thick which made it hard to drink at the end when you're trying to get all the boba through the straw! The menu was large which was exciting. It's generally a cute place to catch up with friends and service was friendly. The place needed to be temp controlled though because the day we came it was soooo hot inside with the only door closed too. I'd definitely be back if I were to dine at the nearby restaurants."
"I stopped in this place for a brown sugar milt tea with no boba and low sweetness level. The regular size costs $5.99 plus tax.The milk tea was good, but I felt it needed more of that milkiness, given it felt watered down a bit. The brown sugar level and flavor were decent. There is a good amount of inside seating and some outside. In addition, the milk teas they also offer coffees, snow bubbles, fruit tea, and food items. The service was friendly enough. There's plenty of parking available."
"Back again! My mom and I went back here and it was as good as ever. We got the regular (non-vegan) thai tea and it was delicious. My mom got the Ramen Tom Yum and it had a good flavor and lots of well made dumplings filled with chicken. I got the mussaman curry again and I loved it, like usual."
"I had a great experience here at Happy Lemon! Despite having many customers, they processed my order extremely quickly, and it was ready within minutes. By the time I got my table set up outside, I realized they finished my order. Their menu was very diverse and had a lot of options for both food and drink. The ordering process was very quick and efficient. The food was delicious as well. Overall I had a great experience."
"The milk tea is pretty decent but what is really good here is their home made mini cheesecake! We got the months special of the pumpkin spice cheesecake and it was very light and fluffy. I didn't even eat the same day and it was really good. Now, the milk tea is pretty decent. I like mine more balanced with creamy and tea flavor, this was more of a strong tea flavored. I usually get 25% sugar as well. Maybe next time I'll up sugar level to 50% and see if it's more balanced."
"I feel this is a bit pricier than most boba places I go to. Ordered the oolong milk tea which was great. I loved the flavor and the boba was perfect consistency. I'd try other flavors when shopping at UTC."
"Pretty good boba shop in this area! They have a lot of options and their tea is brewed to order. I went with the wintermelon milk tea. It was pretty good and flavorful. The boba was a great texture and sweetness. I would definitely come here again if I'm in the area. It's located in a plaza in the corner and can be a little bit hard to find, but it is next to the nail shop. Parking is tight. Service is so incredibly friendly."
"Looking to hydrate yourself with something sweet in NCM?Tea monks is where it's at. This boba spot offers many options for your bubble tea hydration needs. I usually hang out for my boba teas in central San Diego, I was happy to find this spot when I went shopping at the North County Mall. I was pleasantly surprised to see different flavors I've never heard of before so my friend I tried some of them. We tried the Mango Lychee Milk Tea and the Green Thai Tea!Both of them were absolutely delish. However, I tried my lychee milk tea with the balls and didn't really like them as I thought I would. Boba balls are always best when ordering bubble tea! If you're here reading this review, what are you waiting for? Try it out."
"First time here, we needed to kill some time. Small little Cafe with lovely air conditioning. They offer a wide variety of drinks, including coffees, teas, Boba, and smoothies. They also have hokkaido soft serve ice cream. We had an iced vanilla latte and chai latte with oat milk. Both were delicious. Staff is friendly. Street parking only."
"Cool little spot in the Liberty Market, I believe they are a slightly newer place so we gave them a try everything was tasty. The beef skewers were a bit dry and fatty as my daughter called them. She loved her green milk tea with boba and my wife liked the peach tea. The young cashier, host and cook was amazing, very friendly, helpful and got things done. Even offered a wet and dry rag to clean the public shared tables that opened up. The pork bun was tasty but the filling was on the short end so recommend the Bao bun as they are jammed with ingredients and like $2 more. Will try their bahn mi sandwich next time."
"Pretty good first impression so far. Ordered the strawberry smoothie and mango smoothie with boba through a kiosk right at the entrance. Both drinks were good and refreshing, it tasted and looked like it was made with fresh fruit. We opted for lower sugar levels, but thought it would've been perfect at 100% sweetness. Came with a lot of boba, yum. Drinks took 5 min or less. Since we ordered at the kiosk, there wasn't much human interaction until you pick up your drinks. Cute small shop."
