Nancy has come into the Hilltop Deli with the new visions of getting the Deli back to the Quality that it used to have. They have a beautiful new large Menu wall board for customers to look at, and they have added some new dishes and sandwiches. Lola and Lucy the sandwich makers are very nice and ask a lot of questions to make sure you are happy with your order. The Hilltop Deli also now has different Restaurant times and days they are open. They are open Monday Thru Friday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. The Deli also does Catering, and uses Instagram, Facebook, Grubhub, Uber Eats, and their web site at Hilltopdeli.com, to help customers order their menu items. I liked what I saw today, and the Reuben Sandwich I had was Delicious !"

I love the heat up the bagel, it's crunchy outside and soft inside. Also they put a lot of cream cheese and avocado inside. While I was eating there, a lot of people come in to buy donuts in a Thursday afternoon, I bet their donuts are delicious."

Denzel, the new owner, not only touts incredible burgers and chicken sandwiches, but is an exceptional human being. We visit his truck just to chat with him because he's such a cool ass dude. Every time Denzel and his truck are in the hood, we walk over for a meal. I've tried multiple things on the menu... at least three of the burgers and one chicken sandwich: The Bishop. It'll make you want to go to church. The fries are tasty with his special seasoning, and something i'm not sure people know is that the buns he uses for his sandwiches and burgers are all gluten-free. He gets them from a local bakery and they are better than most. Definitely one of the better buns I've ever had. Seriously. I'm from Chicago, so I know great food and this is where it's at!"

Gillian A. "Mixed-bag experience. Very unlikeable cashier guy. Gave me deer-in-headlights eyes followed by a "what?" when he couldn't hear my order (it's a bit echoey inside). Handed me my order with a monotone and rushed "enjoy." Stark contrast to the lady who later held the cashier role as she was friendly and sociable to other patrons. On the bright side, quite tasty bagel stuff here! Scrumptious crunchy strips of peppered bacon in the B.B.L.(t) sando. French toast bagel with bananas foster spread is a flavor wombo-combo, though I really wished that the spread was much thicker and sturdier (it was pretty messy to eat).Well-bodied and indulgent (but not overly sweet) la vida mocha. Notably strong too. O.T.P. cold brew was heavily watered down.Ehhh wanted to be part of the hype train for this spot but overall my visit was rather lukewarm."

Jack M. "I am not sure if this Memo's if is affiliated with the Memo's Bakery in Rancho San Diego, the lady at the counter said it was, but my first experience here is not up to par with the level quality I receive at the Memo's in Rancho San Diego. For example, I ordered the breakfast bagel with scrambled eggs, ham, and cheese on a Bialy Bagel and a cup of coffee. The breakfast bagel was okay, hence the three stars, but it could be much better with some easy upgrades. First, they not mix the cheese with the eggs. It was hardly noticeable. I could not taste it. When you put a cheese on a hot sandwich one has not see it beautifully melting on and down the sides of the ingredients of the sandwich. I would suggest they offers slices of cheese like Provolone, Cheddar, Swiss, and Pepper Jack etc., and place the cheese right on top of that pipping hot egg or ham, so that it melts into goodness into the sandwich. They also consider putting some kind of spread on the bagel too. On a good note, they put a good amount of ham into the breakfast bagel. Service was friendly enough, but it should be more friendly and welcoming. I like to see smiles where I spend my money."

Chris B. "RB Deli sits below street level where the rooftops of the business area it resides under is eye-level so you most definitely won't be able to see it if you're just driving by. Drive down the ramp to the various businesses in the lot and you'll see it on the right with the red awnings. Because of the location, this place caters to the surrounding businesses in the area and fortunately for me, my office building is right up the street from it. The menu is what you'll typically see in a business/office building location. From a breakfast burrito, bagels and toast, to hot and warm sandwich options for lunch. You won't find any special, housemade/craft sauces in their menu items but that's expected. I tried the Turkey California on sourdough with double meat and the heft in that sammie was just what I wanted. It was a good tasting sandwhich. I also ordered a breakfast burrito on the second visit and I wasn't really expecting much but it sure was delicious. The savory bits of gooey cheese, ham and bacon paired well with the warm and soft breakfast potatoes and flour tortilla. The burrito wasn't as large as what I'm used to but that's probably a good thing since I'd hate to have a morning food coma in the office. The interior has lots of space and has a very inviting atmosphere. I've yet to enjoy a dine-in experience since my office is so close but rest-assured I shall someday soon :)"

"I used to come to this place all the time growing up in the neighborhood and it was phenomenal, I've seen their reputation plummet when the new owners took over but I was visiting my mom and needed some breakfast so I thought I would check it out. After reading some more reviews it appears the ownership changed again. Have to say, I'm not disappointed. We got an open faced Lox on an everything bagel and Golden Works on sourdough and everything was great. They both had fresh and well toasted bagels, golden works had thick bacon not the paper thin microwave crap, egg was fluffy and flavorful with well melted cheese and PLENTY of meat you can barely fit it in your mouth lol. I asked for no onion on the lox and they accommodated no problem. $23 for 2 sandwiches so prices have gone up a lot but that's everywhere you eat out now. Hoping to see this level of quality next time I visit."

The staff was friendly, the inside decor of the location was charming and inviting, and the other customers were friendly and understanding when our 3 kids wanted nothing more than to just explore despite our best efforts to keep them calm and in line.I wasn't in the mood for anything beyond tea, but when I saw they had a banana nut muffin that was massive, I had to pick one up. I absolutely loved it. However, it is because I am part of (what I assume is) a minority that loves banana taffy taffy. This muffin tasted so much like that amazing candy. You can tell that they're using artificial banana flavoring to boost the taste of the muffin. I loved it. So much so that I could say it's one of my favorite muffins I've ever had. But, I also will admit that it's a taste that a lot of people will not enjoy. But if you're in my camp, then know that Gold Coast Bagel has a delicious breakfast treat waiting for you.I've already asked my sister-in-law to pick up a few of these the next time she drives up north to visit."

Vivian T. "Truly an underrated cafe and grub area in the Golden Hill Neighborhood! I wanted to eat breakfast and wanted more than a pastry but also I didn't want to commit to an extremely brunch focused restaurant. Intazza fit the description I was looking for and we dined out on their spacious patio. We moved inside later on when it became windy and there was still many seats available. You enter and place your order at the counter, receive a table number, and then choose your seat. I ordered a Bees Knees Latte, Hot Mess, and Wakey Bakey Flatbread. Bees Knees Latte (4/5): Cinnamon, honey, and espresso! It could use less cinnamon and more honey, because I had to cough every time some went up. Hot Mess Tater Tots (4.5/5): Non-greasy fried potatoes that were super crispy. A savory soyrizo, sour cream, jalapeños, and cheese, and a fried egg made this dish filling and worth it. Wakey Bakey Flatbread (4.5/5): Delicious pesto is smothered on the base of the flatbread. With eggs and cheese, this protein filled choice was a great breakfast option and shareable. There was so much basil and plentiful tomatoes as well! It was also a beautiful day out which made the experience of dining here way better. If you're not looking to fully have a hands on brunch experience, Intazza is your go to. They have great coffees and a great spacious area to read, study, and dine. We got a few maple flavored goodies (donut, twist, and bar), red velvet, sprinkles, sugar donut and twist, strawberry filled, chocolate and maple swirl. Very recently, I figured it was my turn to bring the bagels, and so after many years, I stepped foot here first thing in the morning and ordered a dozen bagels for my team at work. I ordered a variety of bagels from wheat, plain, blueberry, cheese, everything, and cinnamon sugar. There were no leftovers, so it was safe to say everyone enjoyed them. I bought smoked salmon, honey walnut, and plain cream cheese. All of which I've had previously and had again and rest assured...all are delicious. The cinnamon sugar bagel paired the best with the honey walnut cream cheese though (pro-tip and you're welcome). I also tried their Crispy Bacon breakfast bagel and they were able to hollow-out the bagel at my request.
