This place only works for its ambiance, not as a dining establishment. They're clearly not staffed by folks who know what they're doing. They got two stars because the management understood they failed. We arrived at 7:00pm with a reservation for two, and were seated relatively promptly. We ordered two plates of tacos as starters, priced like gourmet food, and drinks. The tacos arrived before the drinks, so I made sure to mention drinks hadn't come to the table. We found the shrimp tacos bland, seasoning must have been out in the kitchen when the shrimp were grilled since char was the primary flavor. The al pastor tacos were much better. Our server arrived after we'd finished the tacos, this was the first time we'd seen her since ordering the starter. We began ordering our entrees. We asked her to described the costillas de sandía, she had no clue how to describe food on the menu. We again asked about the drinks we'd ordered around 30 minutes ago, the server explained the bartender was busy and behind. Since we were waiting, I asked for two shots of a silver tequila, the server returned with a reposado several minutes later. Luckily, we were ok with the change because she hadn't come back to check on whether we'd take a substitution. We watched as a table of four, who were seated after we were got all of their drinks. I called over our server asked when our drinks would be arrive, she answered, if you'd like to ask the bartender, you can because I've tried. I've never heard a server ask the customer to speak to another staff member! Our entrees arrived, tamales and a burrito, with no drinks. I had a bite of the tamal, it was terrible. The chicken and masa were a flavorless concoction, covered with a heavy cinnamon sauce and cute garnishes. My partner tried it and agreed. Again, only good for ambiance. At this point, I was over it. I called the server over, canceled the drinks and returned the dish, which I have never done. I've never had a worse dining experience than this place! The manager did come to our table and apologized, and we were not charged. However, I wouldn't do it again, you'd be better served having a burger downstairs and coming up for a couple drinks (if you get them)!

Visited on a sunny Saturday afternoon with two friends just as brunch was ending but they were so lovely to still let us order from the brunch menu. I started with a watermelon soda which was delightfully refreshing. For a starter, I had the Grilled Chile Lime Artichokes which were well seasoned and the butter really set it off. For my main, I had the chilaquiles with carne asada and they were AMAZING. Funny enough, all 3 of us had this dish (2 with carne asada and 1 veggie) and we all loved it. We were here so long, we transitioned into the Golden Hour menu for drinks and The Sara was a hit! We ended up staying much longer than intended chatting over Saras-- and would gladly do it again. Service was stellar and we ended up chatting with the owner a bit as he checked in on us frequently. The ambiance was casual, fun, and light and a great place to be on a sunny day. Can't wait to return!

Updating to a 5 star! the restaurant really made up for a one off, not so great experience I had on my second visit. We returned for a 3rd time and everything was fantastic. Service was great too. The fajitas are delicious and so were the ribs.

Sandia is just as cute as it is delicious! This should be your next date night spot or brunch with the girls. The aesthetic inside is pink, girly, and fun. It is a pretty small restaurant so definitely make a reservation!Holly was our server and was incredible and so attentive! The machine for the photo for the Porcha Party wasn't working so I had to get a different photo which was totally fine, but they surprised me with my correct photo which was so nice. What we got -Chile Con Queso: seriously some of the best queso I have ever had, thick and creamy and had a tiny little kickHouse Salsa: pretty good, nothing to rave about!Fig and Beets Salad: this is a MUST, such a colorful and flavorful dish, the truffle on it truly made itSteak Burrito: so good and had fries in it, like a California burrito! A great sized portion with a ton of steakPork Belly Taco and Fish Taco: omggggg, that pork belly taco had such a thick cut of pork in it and really packed with spice with the hot sauce that it came with. So good. The fish taco was okay, but the pork belly was betterPorcha Party and Sandia Margarita: both drinks were so delicious. I love how the drinks aren't overly sweet here. The porcha party is fun because you can get any photo on it!Coconut Flan: my goodness, this was so good! So creamy with the coconut flakes for texture yumTo all the reviews saying it is expensive, sure yes it is expensive, but I find the price typical for Seattle food. The food is okay nothing jaw dropping but it was all good!! You are paying for the vibes inside, it is a cute and fun place to go

My friend and I came across their instagram page & decided to come give it a try. Our server was all over the place, when we asked for food & drink recommendations he said he hadn't really tried anything on the menu. Their dinner menu didn't really have much of a selection to choose from. We decided on the guacamole as an appetizer, it was good but not anything special. The drinks were okay we decided on some margaritas. We ended up just ordering some chicken tacos that were on happy hour, they were decent & filling. The restaurant was intimate and cute. It was a bit loud in there. It looked like the outdoor seating had heaters up above which is nice.

Came for the brunch and drinks, no one there when we came in as we came at opening time. Got the brunch today, very pretty and lots of flavor. Did wang more of the vegetable "chorizo" in the taco and maybe less eggs. The shells were super soft and stuck to the holder so hard to eat. Was not able to get drinks today due to staffing so may come back to try the happy hour. Waitress super nice and checked in.

Such a hidden gem along the Burke Gilman!! Stopped by for the golden hour deals absolutely loved The Sara and coconut marg cocktails for $11. The nachos and queso were absolutely amazing, and the truffle quesadillas were a little heavy on the mushroom flavor but made well. Beautiful patio views!

The ambiance here is nice, but the prices are insane. Two tacos for $20, if you order chips and salsa and want to add guacamole it is $14. We ordered chips and two drinks and ended up waiting longer for the drinks. I had an agua fresca and it did not taste at all like an agua fresca, it tasted more like flavored sparkling water. Very disappointed since good Mexican food in Seattle is hard enough to find.

Nice little Mexican spot along the Burke-Gilman Trail. Good food, if a bit pricey. We started with chips & salsa and some wings with a tangy watermelon glaze. Both were quite tasty. Then we each got two tacos; the Carne asada ones were particularly outstanding. Our server was very attentive but they seemed a bit understaffed.Overall a tasty meal but expect to drop some cash.

Saw a lot of a good things about this restaurant but was a little disappointed! We arrived here on a Friday night and it was surprisingly empty. We started off with some drinks - we ordered the "Letters to Oaxaca" which was mezcal with ginger beer, agave and lime. This drink was pretty good (8/10). For appetizers, we ordered the Sandia Chicken wings and a side of chips+guac. The chips & guac were good (big portion of chips..the chip to guacamole ratio is a little off though). The chicken wings had a Smokey watermelon glaze which you could slightly taste and had a nice spice to it. They were not bad at all (7/10). For mains, we had the Baja Grilled Shrimp tacos, the Pork Al Pastor tacos and the Costillas de Sandía. The shrimp tacos were okay...the shrimp was bland but the toppings which included avocado, cabbage and Serrano crema made the taco okay (5/10). The Al Pastor tacos were the worst. They were EXTREMELY salty. They didn't even look like Al pastor tacos, more like carnitas and was very disappointing (1/10). The Costillas de Sandía were pork ribs in salsa macha. The salsa was good! But the pork ribs were very tough, meat did not slide off the bone and I kid you not (!), these pork ribs were the same size as our chicken wings (6/10). The restaurant is cute and our server was amazing! But the food is nothing out of this world. Our server Fatima was super friendly, constantly checking in on us, asked if anything was wrong with our food. When she was made aware that we were not happy with the food, she comped our whole check! We insisted on paying for our food but she said everything had been taken care of. She was the sweetest! Fatima you were an awesome server! Hoping to come back and see if their brunch menu is any better.
