Sand Trap at 12 Stones

We are from out of state so we looked on yelp to find a restaurant close to our RV park. We were looking for sandwiches or lunch. We didn't realize this was a golf course restaurant and a very popular place. So when we arrived there was NO handicapped parking. My poor husband had to drop me off and park really far away. Since it was Sunday ,all they had was a brunch buffet. Mind you was awesome but unexpected for us. Great prime rib, salmon and breakfast foods!! We were worried because we didn't have reservations but the staff at the podium got us a very nice table against the wall!They have outdoor seating as well (which I would not want since all they had was the buffet) I didn't take pictures but it was an open big room with lots of tables and chairs. The service was attentive. They seemed very busy so they weren't as friendly as I thought they should be. I would recommend reservations if you go on a Sunday for the buffet.

Always friendly & wonderful menu options. Sunday brunch is excellent. When particularly busy it can take a little long for service, but at those times I'm there for the atmosphere, not a quick in/out dinner.

I would have loved to have actually eaten here today, but after 20 minutes of waiting for a server to even come to our table, we gave up and walked out. This place looks way overcrowded and not enough staff. There was a brunch buffet on Sunday if you were in the mood for that, but also a menu of items in which to choose. The big problem was that only two servers were working in a room of at least 100 people. We only had one hour for lunch and quickly calculated that our food would not have been ready in time seeing that no one had even greeted us yet. We had such high hopes for this place since a friend recommended it, yet massively disappointed. 2 stars for the owner's kindness for bringing us waters and for the aesthetics of the restaurant.

This place is a treasure. Great friendly staff and the food is simply amazing. They have daily specials and their chef could be at a multi-starred establishment downtown.Great bar area, open and airy with really a neat atmosphere all around. The burger I had was top notch fresh beef cooked perfectly with a mound of fries I could not finish --- did I mention it was $6.95 on a Tuesday special? They have sandwiches, seafood, steaks and a nice assortment of tap brews along with a full bar.It's the people though that really make this place my new fave. So glad we recently moved to 12 Stones. This place is a real "hidden" gem. As a matter of fact..... never mind, don't come here as I want to keep this place to myself!But seriously you will not regret coming here with any type of party. It may be on a golf course but it's WELL above a clubhouse-type eatery.

Beautiful atmosphere and delicious food! The drinks at the bar are by far the best in the area. Love the salad bar! Always great service!

Sunday's great morning early afternoon menu went from great to terrible. Several weeks ago we ate with a group after service and all was very good, great menu with items from 9$ to 15$. Nice place with good service. Now it's a mediocre at best buffet priced at $25 a head. The people are still nice but the buffet was not good. All items were in chaffing dishes so everyone had to pick up the handle to see what was in the server. The servers were full because there were very few folks there to eat it. The butter scoop was covered from scoop to handle with butter. I'm sure the rolls were sister Schuberts but cold. A good number of choices but the only item that got a thumbs up were the chicken tenders and the omelette bar. The salad bar was also OK. I don't know how other days are but avoid the brunch buffet on sundays. The restaurant ambiance is typical golf course decor. Mike

So far we've only had the salad bar and soup, which we really like. Hard to find a salad bar anywhere these days. The bartender, I believe is Daphne, is great. Super friendly and efficient.

Terrible food, steaks came out raw and took 2 hours to come out. Not going back anytime soon.

Food was delicious and our waitress Dawn was super friendly! The Southern BLT was pretty much the best BLT I've ever had!

Friendly staff. Vibrant atmosphere. Usually someone playing live music.Good drinks and solid, consistently good food.
