$$$ price3 star service2.5 star tasteEggs Benedict, scrambled eggs & 2 pancakes for over $100. I support the fact that you are providing your employees with health insurance and a 401k but the quality of service and food matches what I expect from a place that's half the price.

I recommend to not come in large groups as the wait can be ridiculous. We arrived at 11am to put our name down for a party of 9 and didn't get seated until after 2:30 (essentially at closing when the restaurant was empty). The neighborhood made up for the wait as we walked to a local coffee shop and bar (afterwards) as we waited for our turn.We were offered an array of complimentary pancakes due to the long wait which was sweet. Our server was also friendly and got our orders out in a timely fashion (but then again, the restaurant was super empty and we were ordering at last call).I ordered the Pan de Mie French Toast solely because of the orange batter. Anything with orange is a winner for me! One piece was more than enough and delicious. It should also be noted that the fruit was fresh and sweet unlike some spots that offer fruits that taste as if they're on the verge of spoiling. I was lacking some protein so I had a side of crispy bacon. It was extremely oily which was a con. Hubs ordered the Croque Madame and enjoyed it. A heads up, tip is included in the meal and they are not into substitutions. Surprisingly, they made an exception to my friend. But like I said, I think it was because we were their last customers. All in all, I enjoyed the food and the neighborhood. I would consider coming back if I was ever in the area again. BUT! This time, probably with a party of no more than 4 people.

Our experience having dinner at Zazie was exquisite! The ambiance is adorable and intimate, and the service was amazing. I also love how they pay their workers a living wage that doesn't require tipping, as well as providing health insurance, 401k, and profit sharing plan. This is truly how businesses should be treating their workers. The food and wine was impeccable. We got the onion soup, mushroom fondue, and bourride zazie, along with two French white wine pairings that were perfect with the dishes we ordered. The fondue was excellent and came with a really good side salad and bread for dipping. The onion soup was melt in your mouth delicious and is a must order. The bourride was definitely the star of the show, with all different kinds of seafood in an insanely delicious sauce, the sauce was just next level amazing. Overall had an incredible experience here and can't wait to come back!

Loved the cute quaint ambiance of this place! Makes it feel so homey and welcomed:) we ordered the truffle ravioli and poppy seed pancakes, and both were really good! I think the truffle ravioli tasted what I thought it would be like, and the poppy seed pancake actually was pretty unique so I'm happy we got it! I do think it is pretty expensive for what it is - there were only 6 pieces of ravioli for $25, and 2 pancakes were $29 (which to me is a little excessive). Overall I think it's a cute place to checkout if uve never been, but a little expensive for what it is.

Overhyped, average brunch food. Also, got fed meat as lifelong vegetarians :/Got here on a Saturday at 1 pm and waited one hour.Got seated at the patio- had to request the heater to be turned on in January. Lights were dimmed and it was hard to see even during the day. The patio smelled slightly of foul garbage which ruined our experience. Vegetarian protein substitutes were an additional $3. Three of the four orders came messed up with the wrong combinations - we had to ask them to fix it.We paid $3 extra for soyrizo omelette and we double checked with the server that it is soyrizo and she said yes. Midway through eating it we found chicken sausage chunks that were mixed with the mushrooms. As lifelong vegetarians that have never eaten meat, this was deeply DISTURBING. The soyrizo was extremely oily. The potatoes were undercooked. The portion of avocado was really small. We notified the server of the presence of meat and they compensated our meal. I appreciate the approach to rectify the situation but with so many order mess ups, it was a pretty disappointing experience.

This may be my favorite restaurant in SF! The excellent service, romantic atmosphere, authentic but innovative French cuisine and wine, and perhaps my favorite part, ethical business practices. They are tip free with a 20% revenue share, living wage, and fully funded healthcare for their staff. I think every restaurant should go to this model and I think it really makes everything the ultra-high quality that it is. The workers care and it shows. I highly recommend this restaurant. The Bourride Zazie was featured in a food review periodical recently and I can see why. It's one of the best fish dishes I've had. This place is great! Perfect for a romantic date night.

Brought in a large party of 14 for brunch couple Sundays ago. Wait was a bit long but worth it. Everyone left full and happy with the food. Patio is nicely covered so weather didn't matter. Ambiance was conducive for conversation.

First and foremost, I love the concept that Zazie has which is to provide their employees with a 401(k) and include tip into the menu prices. Second, the food is really good, but I have had better brunch hence I gave it four stars. In addition to that, the service was a bit iffy but my girlfriends and I managed to make the best out of it.For the food, we ordered two different French toasts. Both were very tasty but I wish they had fresh maple syrup especially with the prices they charge. I had the crab cakes hollandaise which was very tasty and an adequate amount of crab was given as well. For the drinks, the mimosas were pretty good. All in all, this is a solid brunch spot in SF IMHO.

Went for V-day with a prix fixe menu--which IMO should have been perfected, however the only stand out was the filet---everything else was meh. Service was friendly, yet inconsistent. The couple next to us sat down 30 min later than us and left 30 min before us. Parking is an absolute nightmare. Not really worth trying. Cost = $250 (they include all taxes/tips/health fee) is included in the price of the dish. For this amount we could have had a much more memorable meal at a 4-5 star steakhouse. Forgot to mention we sat in the patio area which was freezing and so crowded--the person sitting on the outside of the table had to keep getting up when a server brought food to the table next to us and/or if the people needed to get out.
