Zanotto's Sunnyvale Market

My wife and I ordered sandwiches through DD and picked up in person. We adore this market because the store has so many groceries, produce, meats, hot and cold deli and a sandwich station. All their staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming and the store gives off family owed vibes. Their sandwiches are super delicious. I highly recommend for a picnic or lunch. They're huge portions.

This is a review for their custom sandwiches. Haven't tried anything else but they have a lot of tasty looking things you can pickup.Overall they are great quality and value with tons of different options. Will continue going back and report back if I try anything else.Staff has always been very friendly and attentive as well.

The cheese selection and section are fabulous at this location. Tons of imported cheeses and a wide selection of hardness, styles, flavor profiles, and intensities are available. But even more importantly their Cheese Wizard (cheese section specialist with an excellent title) is phenomenal! Extremely knowledgeable about their entire selection, and very helpful and pleasant to talk to about whatever your cheese needs may be.

They have the best lunch deal around town. Their brown bag lunch offer is awesome. The sandwiches are made to order and put together rather quickly. A bonus is that they are pretty big sandwiches! Their soup selection is pretty nice as well. This shop also carries Tillamook yogurts which I was excited about because I can't seem to find at any other shops.

Was craving a sandwich so I checked yelp and decided to go to Zanotto's. It's a market that sells produce and has a deli so convenient if you ever wanted to go grocery shopping and get a hearty sandwich.To order, you just need to fill out the sandwich form and then place it in the basket at the deli. I got the veggie sandwich with Dutch crunch bread, cheddar cheese, and almost all the condiments (mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, sprouts, red onions, and oil and vinegar). I appreciate how they have a separate veggie sandwich that automatically comes with avocado and no extra charge for it! After about 7-10 minutes, the sandwich was ready and I paid for it at the register. For $10.99 the sandwich is a great deal. Would have been great if there was a little more sauce in the sandwich (more of the mayo and mustard) but I was pretty full after eating just half of the sandwich. All the ingredients tasted fresh and the bread was very good. Would come back!

This review is for their sandwiches. Overall pretty good quality and the sandwiches are very large. I wouldn't go out of my way to get one, but it is a solid choice overall.

They carry Piedmontese beef and the people working the butcher counter are very friendly. This beef is a bit hard to find, but is healthier (less fat, fully grass fed, more protein) and more tender than regular beef. The Picanha cut is my go-to now and grills exceptionally. Very affordable too!

First time walking into Zanotto's. I've been meaning to find an alternative to Whole Foods for more speciality grocery items. The selection and options are impressive. The staff at the respective leads at the Sunnyvale location were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about cheeses, meats. The prices for general grocery items are comparable to others. I will come back for general grocery items. I look forward to coming back and trying out their deli selection as well.

This has become my go-to market recently for eggs because the larger chain grocery we frequent increased their prices significantly. Then I discovered Zanotto's has Hoisin Sauce that I can't find at the larger store. Plus they offering local baked goodies like Beckman's Pies (Santa Cruz) and smaller fruit tarts from Douce France (Palo Alto). Their produce section offers smaller portion size veggies such as a small head of cabbage we bought during the holidays because we only needed some as a platform for steaming dumplings. Last but not least, it's convenient to shop here because it is less crowded which makes check-out faster.

I visited on a Saturday to find Pricklee Cactus Water since they have a 2 for $5 promo right now. I also visited the deli and bakery area for a sandwich. A woman named PK was the most rude, dismissive, aggressive and just plain mean. I needed help and she walked away from me without a word. When someone else was helping me, she butted into the conversation and said "what does she want?" I have a name, Miss Rude!!! She treated me like I was burden and not a paying customer. I work in customer service and I would fire her immediately if she was my employee. There is absolutely no excuse for behavior in a fine establishment such as Zanotto's.Besides that, Luis, Ernie and the owner, Troy, were so lovely. They helped me find what I needed, and WITH a smile!
