This place never seizes to impress my palette. Actually , let me go back on that. The first time I had tried it, I hadn't developed yet my obsession for Szechuan; and I wasn't really aware of how I felt. About a month after trying it, I had an odd craving for this delicious spice, and there was no going back. I now order once per month. My favorite are the Dan Dan noodles, and the Mapo Tofu. I also love the boiled fish, however, I've recently cut back on fish and I therefore skip that one. (The flavors are terrific and this place doesn't fail in delivering that flavor I now crave. The people who run this place are warm and welcoming ; and the ambiance is clean , casual, (yet slightly elegant ) ,and inviting. Of course I will continue to go back.

Visited Yummy Szechuan and was not disappointed. Cozy dining area and was busy for a Tuesday night. As always tried different dish that came out at various times. In all fairness I ordered dishes that I normally do not get.1. Beijing Style Pot Stickers- I thought these were presented nicely but thought were a bit bland.2. Dan Dan Noodles- I am not a big peanut flavor personally and thought this was a bit strong for me. Apart from that they tasted good.3. Szechuan Turnip Cake - This I did not like as I thought I would be getting something that resembled traditional turnip cake. I found them sweet with coleslaw inside.4. Ma Po Tofu - This was the best I ever had. Spice level was spot on and flavor was out of this world.I will for sure go back and try other dishes.

Came here looking forward to trying a new Szechuan place in the area. Lunch time crowd was minimal and seated immediately.ServiceVery friendly, prompt and helpful. FoodOrdered the following:B99 House Special Boiled Fish (Swai Fillet) - fish was tasty but portions were on the smaller side and the filets pieces were a bit smaller compared to other dishes served at Szechuan places in the area. For the price ($22), I suppose it's about right, so this works if you're ordering for 2-3 people. If you're a party of 4 or more, definitely consider ordering a few more entrees.H99 Chongqing Spicy Chili Chicken - this was great! It looked very spicy w/ all the chili mixed in w/ the chicken but it had great flavor and was fried well. Not very oily at allG6 Braised Tofu - this was OK. Would order something else next time.G12 Cumin Lamb - great lamb. Flavorful, soft, and had the feeling of "I can't believe this is lamb!" not gamey at allAmbianceAmple seating for lunch but can see it being tight if every table was packed for dinner time. Not great seating for young families or toddlers. Most tables were good for 2-4 people (standard square tables)Overall, would come again for the chili chicken and cumin lamb. There was a ton of other dishes on the menu that I'd try again, so maybe will continue on w/ the thread of cumin flavored meats / skewers and the chili chicken.

Another great visit at Yummy Szechuan. We had a quiet lunch here on Christmas Day. Easy parking on the street. The owner greeted us warmly. We ordered extremely pickled fish (with fresh cod), Dan Dan noodle, sour potato noodle (酸辣粉), braised tofu with black fungus and pea shoots, sizzling cumin lamb. Everything was perfect. We highly recommend substituting fresh cod in the fish dish, although the soup could be more sour for the extremely pickled fish dish.

Nestled among other Chinese and Asian spots on El Camino in Millbrae, Yummy Szechuan is not to be missed. While the Beef Roll was just your standard, they really aced the Dan Dan Noodle and our stir fried dish. Dan Dan Noodle: The numbing flavor is easily the best part of the dish. The balance of flavors with the pork, garlic and peanut made each bite of the bouncy noodles (chow mein thickness) so addictive. We recently went to a place that had fresh noodles but the Dan Dan sauce was lacking. I'd rather this place with the balance of flavors.Stir Fried Yellow Beef: Excellent flavor, wok heat and a hint of heat. Beef was not too soft and just perfect. Highly recommend pairing with white rice since our noodles were so numbing! Everything came out quickly and our server was so efficient and lovely. There were takeout orders and dine in but we didn't have to wait long. The menu is expansive as well so can't wait to return to try more dishes, as most older Chinese patrons opted for their stir fried dishes with rice.

What is going on, Yummy Sechuan? We had been going for years and had never disappointed. Today, we got our usual mapo tofu, chonging chili chicken and eggplant with green beans. The mapo tofu was super bland!!!! You forgot to add your soy or salt or whatever yummy sauce you add that made us keep eating bowls of rice. NOT EDIBLE!!!!!Eggplant and Greenbeans. We loved the wok charred taste of this dish. What we got today was oily and tasteless. Chongging Spicy Chicken. This was okay. It was not as good as what we had numerous time before. The chicken chunks were big and not as flavorful. At least this one was not tasteless. So, Yummy Sechuan, after all these years! We are breaking up. Off to Little Chengdu we must go.

Small hole in the wall but very clean with great service. I came for lunch and was floored by the MaPo Tofu. I search high and low. West Coast East Coast and Yummy Szechuan has some of the best! Thick loaded with pork. Spicy salty. Firm tofu. Wow wow wow. Very impressed.

we got a bunch of things but i came here with my mom after a recommendation from my brother. what i can say is that from the outside the place smells amazing and weirdly does remind me of chinanot to pull the whole authenticity but everything here was well made and has all of the right flavor profiles as well. we got so many things but mostly notably was the dan dan mian (could use more cucumbers) and the 回锅肉 which was great with riceliterally no notes, it's great, come here please
