Expected dim sum with friendly customer service. Customer Service: The owner is super nice! We usually order to-go and he happily helps take your order. I really appreciate that. Parking: there's some street parking, but it can be rough. There is a parking lot nearby. During peak times or weekends, it can be hard to find parking. Pricing: Pricing is average/very reasonable for the area, but may seem slightly higher if you're used to dim sum in other areas (but hey, rent must be expensive). Food: Food is typical dim sum food. It's good and traditional rather than the super fresh or high-end dim sum places-more of a "get your dim sum fix place. It's not the healthiest and some dishes can be a bit bland; you might get tired of some of the more filling dishes. Atmosphere: The restaurant is nice and clean, but nothing fancy. It is a no frill place, but well-kept and not cluttered like some other places.

This place was so good! They were able to accommodate about 15 of us and the food was delicious. The waiters were really friendly as well! Some highlights include the shrimp dumplings and the pork buns. The pork buns were crispy on the outside and soft in the inside and tasted delicious! The shrimp dumplings were tasty as well as they were perfectly soft and cooked to perfection. I would come here again!

In A NUtshell:-I have always enjoyed eating dim sum at Yum Cha.-They have really good tea here too.-The service is always very friendly & fast.-I enjoyed the food, especially the Peking Duck, the skin is so crispy.Overall, it's not a bad place to grab some dim sum if you are in Menlo Park.

We love our dim sum so we were disappointed by a few dishes here. They were just shy of great which was unfortunate. The ha Cheung (shrimp rice roll) wasn't very flavorful. The ha gow (steamed shrimp dumpling) was quite chewy. And the xlb soup dumpling dough was super thick. Service was fast and efficient though which was nice. We were seated in this very corner even though the restaurant was quite empty... I'm assuming it may be because we came with a toddler and an infant in a stroller so they thought a corner spot may be less cumbersome for us and other guests but felt a little odd being so off to the side when the big restaurant only had maybe 3-4 other tables of guests. Parking was easy with downtown lots just a block behind the restaurant.

Huge space to enjoy dimsum with friends or family! Came in opening on Sunday morning and it was not crowded. Service was great, we had some error with some of our orders and they gladly replaced them. All were delicious!!

Generous servings! All dim sum items are amazing as well as their cooked food. The rice rolls are their specialty, get shrimp or peking duck one! Shrimp and chive pan fried dumpling is the best and their lava bun is always a hit.snow pea shoots stir fried with garlic, xo string beans, fried hong kong noodles with seafood, salt and pepper calamari, chicken special, claypot fried rice are all authentic.Get Chrysanthemum tea if you want no caffeine and refreshing.

Decent dim sum overall. The Peking duck rice wrap was dry and the rice paper was flavorless and gritty. The same terrible rice paper was used for the shrimp and chive dumpling but if you remove the casing and just ate the shrimp mixture, it was good. The fried taro, fried sticky meat dumpling, and shrimp inside the shu mai were my favorites. The har gow tasted best when it was cold.The entire order was a takeout but the food was available quickly and was nice and hot.Definitely a 3/5 but try it out to know if this could be a quick fix spot for you.
