If you're looking for an unforgettable sushi experience, Yoji Sushi House delivers with impeccable flavors, fresh ingredients, and stunning presentation. Our visit was nothing short of spectacular, and every dish left a lasting impression. We started with the Uni & Crab Chawanmushi, a velvety steamed egg custard topped with sweet, briny uni. The combination of silky smooth chawanmushi and delicate crab made for a luxurious first bite.Next came the hamachi carpaccio, served with creamy avocado, a hint of citrus, and a drizzle of house sauce. The thinly sliced yellowtail melted in our mouths, and the touch of spice from the garnishes made it an exciting dish. The showstopper was the chirashi don, a beautifully arranged bowl of premium seafood over seasoned sushi rice. The variety of textures--from the creamy uni and ikura to the tender scallop and perfectly seared salmon--made each bite a delight.Sashimi & Omakase The selection of nigiri was phenomenal--each piece melting in the mouth with the perfect balance of rice and seafood. From buttery salmon and seared wagyu to delicately placed uni on crispy tempura, every bite showcased the chef's skill and attention to detail. The gentle heat from wasabi and jalapeño added an exciting contrast, elevating the natural umami of each ingredient.Dragon Roll The dragon roll was a visual and flavorful masterpiece. With crispy tempura shrimp wrapped in perfectly seasoned rice, topped with creamy avocado and rich, caramelized eel, it had the ideal balance of crunch and silkiness. The sweet and savory eel sauce tied everything together beautifully.Double Toro Roll If you're a fan of rich, melt-in-your-mouth tuna, the Double Toro Roll is a must-try. Featuring layers of fresh, lightly seared fatty tuna, topped with a savory sauce and jalapeño, this roll delivered a perfect balance of creaminess and heat. The slight smokiness from the sear added depth to every bite.Crunchy Snow White Roll Topped with vibrant green tobiko, this roll had a great crunch, but the addition of almonds made it a bit strange. While the textures were interesting, the nuttiness didn't quite blend with the other flavors, making it a bit of a hit-or-miss dish.Yoji Sushi House delivers high-quality sushi with fresh ingredients and expert preparation. The ambiance is cozy, and the presentation is visually appealing. Overall, it's a great spot for sushi lovers.

First timer. I ordered all basic things, all of it was fresh and it was amazing. Edamame beans, miso soup, house salad, basic 49er and Philly roll. Followed by both their desserts. Loved it. Service took longer than usual due to the Valentine's Day night but the girl was doing so good with service it was worth it. The vibe was really cool, tv and music going.

Went to Yoji Sushi House which is a cozy local neighborhood restaurant near Forest Hill Muni Metro station and bus stop. A convenient location. Relatively easy street parking in the adjacent neighborhood. There is a parking lot at the end of the street but I'm not sure if diners can park there. We were seated right away in the smallish restaurant which was very cozy and inviting. We went specifically to try the happy hour menu since we have early dinner anyway. It definitely was a great choice. The Happy hour menu has many high value quality choices. I would like to give a shout out to the chef for their 21 piece sashimi special. So Good!! The fish was very fresh and great value. Top it all with a bottle of hot sake. You can't go wrong. Wait staff was very helpful and polite even though she worked all the tables by herself. Definitely will come again

Happy hour here is such a great deal! And it is so nice that they have it on Saturdays as well. Their current happy hour is from Tuesdays- Saturdays from 4-6pm. My group of 4 got here at 4pm on a Saturday and was seated right away. We ordered the 21 piece sashimi, 4 rolls and the karaage chicken. The sashimi was very fresh; it is a super good deal. All of the rolls were delicious, I liked the salmon skin one, it's different than what you would typically find at a sushi restaurant. The size of the rolls were pretty large too, which was unexpected for happy hour. The karaage chicken was tender and juicy but I wish the outside coating was a bit more crunchy! Overall a great happy hour place to try on a Saturday, I would come back to try their regular menu items as well.

First of all, amazing service. And amazing sushi!!!I loved the truffle hamachi and the kani steamed egg dish. It was perfectly balanced and the presentation was adorable. The aioli was just the right amount of umami and savoriness. Also, the scallop roll was so fresh. I want to emphasize the good vibes that this restaurant has. I have been driving past this place for years and I am so glad I tried it tonight. It's the perfect date night spot and intimate family gathering spot. Super quaint, super chill and peaceful with great service.

5 Stars for their Happy Hour! Yoji Sushi House has great deals on select foods during Happy Hour, which occurs Tuesday through Saturday, 4-6pm. I've been to Yoji twice for happy hour and each time the food has been really good. The Mixed Sashimi came with bluefin tuna, salmon, yellowtail, and albacore...total of 11 pieces for $17. The sashimi tasted great both times! The fish in the mixed sashimi can vary depending on their daily fish selection so it might not be the same each time. The Agedashi Tofu was delicious and we enjoyed all of the rolls we ordered - the sake avocado roll, California roll, tempura shrimp roll, and their veggie roll - the Garden roll. The rolls were not large or elaborate, but not bad for their happy hour price of $5. I tried the Black Truffle Edamame, which was good, but the black truffle flavor was very mild. Yoji Sushi is a small restaurant, with small tables (not good for big groups), across from Laguna Honda. It's a great sushi restaurant for the locals in the area. Service was standard...not over the top, but decent.

Coming here for their happy hour deals was amazing! It's so nice that they have happy hour on weekends too. The deluxe sashimi combo was the best; we were really happy with the quality of sashimi. The rolls were all really good and the karaage was crispy and filling too. We came around 4:30pm on a Saturday and didn't have to wait or feel rushed to eat. Parking was pretty easy in the neighborhood too. A nice casual sushi spot in the Forest Hill neighborhood!

Maybe I came with higher expectations, but we should have come during happy hour, which was recommended by my sister. We missed it by 10 minutes. THREE SOME - (Tuna, yellowtail, eel, cucumber, avocado, wasabi, tobiko, and soy glaze). We ordered a Three Some but didn't know it was 5 pieces for $16?! That's over $3 per piece?? It should say how many pieces, if it's less than a typical special roll which usually consists of 8 pieces. It had a little too much sauce that we couldn't taste much. It's not like the fish in the roll are that expensive and would justify the price. 2/5DOUBLE TORO ROLL - (Salmon belly, avocado, & mango, topped with fatty tuna and kizami wasabi). This roll was ok. The mango gave it some tartness and crunch. But I can't say it wowed me either. 3/5TONKATSU RAMEN - (Soft boiled egg, spinach, bamboo shoots, nori, onion crunch and scallions). Tonkatsu ramen was decent. I liked that you get a whole soft-boiled egg, though it's missing the flavors when it's seasoned. I make my own at home and it makes it taste so much better! Though it was a nice touch to have the orange yolk which is like the eggs in Japan. The noodle texture could be chewier, but it wasn't soggy which is a plus. This bowl saved me from starving. 4/5I can't say we'll be back since this place is not an area we frequent. If they struck a better balance between quality and quantity, we would have reconsidered.

Very good experience overall and if you go during happy hour, an excellent price point for San Francisco sushi. They have good deals on sale and beer, appetizers like Karaage and edamame (get the truffle edamame) and the standard rolls, all of which are solid. I recommend splurging for the spicy tuna cake roll - it's not on the happy hour menu but it's my favorite roll at the place (spicy tuna on a crispy rice). Small location, across the street from Laguna Honda, not a lot of pedestrian traffic but they seem to take a lot of to go orders as well. Will definitely come back
