Garlic soy - mostly batter, one small piece of octopus. Negi mayo - better taste, but mostly batter and outside is soft.

Ordered a side of Takoyaki with my ramen from inside of Mitsuwa. They took around 10 minutes to prepare my order. And there is a food court with seating to enjoy your meal. I've just recently tried Takoyaki so I can't say that I have an expertise or a good idea of what it should taste like, however these were just okay. I am a huge texture person and the mushiness of them threw me off, I also didn't quite enjoy the egg in the teritama Takoyaki because it was way too runny for my liking. Don't get me wrong the sauce and flavor were very tasty. I think if these were cooked just a little longer I'd enjoy them way more. They were still enjoyable I'd give them a 6.5/10!

After 2 years I decided to give Yama-Chan Takoyaki another try...this time we ordered the regular takoyaki. Unfortunately, it was another miss. Although the takoyakis were freshly made it was mostly batter with a small piece of octopus. As mentioned in other reviews, the inside was quite mushy and soft. It didn't appear to be fully cooked or cooked long enough. This is a hard pass for me.

Just okay honestly. I got the Garlic Shoyu Yakisoba in the stonepot. It was pretty well flavored, but the dish became very salty overtime. Noodles were cooked fine and they gave a great soft boiled egg.I tried the takoyaki as well, which was mediocre. Crispy on the outside, but cold inside... makes me think they make these in bulk and have it sit out for a while. Again, the flavors were good, so it's a bummer that it wasn't served fresh.

Randomly came across this market and food court while craving onigiri from Fugetsu. I wasn't really a fan of takoyaki until I tried it here and it made me think that I just haven't had decent takoyaki before. I enjoyed the negi mayo and Alfredo. Based on the other reviews, I can see how they might think it has too much batter and too mushy and not enough octopus. But unless I find somewhere else that isn't Japan that serves better takoyaki, I'll keep coming here for my fix.

This store is inside the Supermarket if you're unable to find it! I tried the Chicken Okonomiyaki, which is a Savory pancake with chicken bits, ramen noodles, cabbage, egg, seaweed, and savory sauce. The portion was huge and so filling. The mix of all the ingredients and flavors tasted so delicious together. My favorite part was the sauce because it had a nice mix of sweet and savory. The cabbage made it taste somewhat healthy as well. I never tried Okonomiyaki before, but I really liked it! I definitely want to try the other flavors as well next time. I also definitely want to try the different flavors of Takoyaki, which is what this store is famous for. They had such a large assortment of flavors for all the dishes, which all look so good!

Tried this place out with a friend over the weekend. What we got: Negi mayo ponzu takoyaki (5/5) -- good balance between raw green onion and richness of the kewpie mayo...also satisfying to watch the bonito flake dance when we got it Garlic shoyu butter takoyaki (4/5) -- a bit greasy but could clearly taste the garlic and comes with pickled ginger to cut through the butter. This one was much crispier on the outside than the mayo flavor so if you like crunch, I recommend thisGarlic shoyu stone pot yakisoba (5/5) -- comes with a runny egg. The cashier advised me to crack the egg and mix everything together. The noodles were al dente and the proportions of all the components were good. No extra seasoning was needed either We had to wait for about 10 minutes before the food was ready. Overall, a delicious, well-portioned, and affordable meal option (~$13/bowl) in Mitsuwa Market that I would eat at if I were craving yakisoba.

Came here on a Saturday noon and it was a 20+ minute wait for our negi ponzu mayo takoyaki. I thought it was interesting that despite taking so long, the takoyaki was really soft and mushy on the inside, like it hadn't been cooked for enough time. There also wasn't too much mayo - the video that was playing on the TV looked generous in terms of mayo servings but we definitely did not get that experience. Ambience: It's located inside Mitsuwa next to Santouka, so I recommend grabbing a drink in the market and sitting down with your drinks after ordering. There's also a bathroom that was pretty clean in the corner of the food court area.

Garlic soy sauce takoyaki was pretty yum.I haven't tried too many takoyaki variations but I did enjoy the extra sauce. There were decent Tako pieces and good flavors. One thing I like about takoyaki is the crispy outside and piping hot gooey inside so the liquid sauce bath does take away from the experience for me, but fun to try. Wait time wasn't too long and everything tasted fresh.
