Wrights Station is a boutique winery off Summit Road in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The winery is in a serene setting, and really transports you. You're seated outdoors amongst the vines, and it feels like a vacation in an afternoon! I love coming here and enjoying great wines. If you've never been here, I recommend starting with a tasting, finding something you love, and then possibly purchasing a bottle for the table.Wrights Station has food offerings as well... Charcuterie and delicious empanadas. But they also allow patrons to bring their own picnics. Which is awesome!!Wrights station is my go to place for relaxing on beautiful afternoons!

Decided to stop by Wrights Station for a local getaway! Definitely a good spot to visit on the way to or from Santa Cruz. The two of us ordered 2 mixed tasters, and an empanada. Pricing was reasonable and staff was friendly. There is seating inside and outside. We were there during a Saturday afternoon, so it was relatively quiet, with only a few groups. Bocce ball available as well.Parking is available onsite as well.Shoutout Katie for being extremely friendly and courteous :)

Love this place! I swear I wrote a review on here, but maybe I never finished it? I've been to the Wright station a couple of times, and every time I've gone I've always enjoyed my stay! They have perfect flights for every occasion, and I love the fact that you can bring your own food! I have a number of food allergies so I can bring my own things to pair with their amazing wines is perfect for me!I loved this place so much I actually spent an afternoon there with my family on my birthday! We had a lovely wine taster, Mikey, and he was the best!! I cannot stand Chardonnay, but The Wright stations Chardonnay is honestly not buttery it almost taste, like a cross between a white wine and a rosé if that makes any sense?! I love their Chardonnay and I am not a fan so that says something! Their wines are a little light taste when it comes to pairing with their reds, but I like a very robust heavy, full, bodied, Cabernet Sauvignon, but for day, drinking their reds are perfect too Pair with as well as drive home. The winery itself is a remodeled house with different sections. You can sit out on the deck with beautiful patio umbrellas, and there's a lovely breeze that overlooks the vineyard itself! If you get the chance and it's open, you should definitely walk down to their little forest area below, the Vineyard! It's whimsical and magical there!! I will definitely be back again because I love the scenery, wines, and the service is very homey and friendly!!

Beautiful setting, decent wine, friendly staff. Great place to relax with no time pressure and (a big plus for us) there's space for toddlers to explore while the adults enjoy

Gorgeous grounds and beautiful outdoor patio for tasting. Really enjoyed the Pinot Noir. Also found the Pinot Gris to be interesting. The Chardonnay I could skip (but I usually can skip the chardonnay). Their Zin and Cab Sauv were both surprisingly light, but I thought pretty well balanced. They do have some food, but didn't try any of it as I had brought my own snacks. They were nice about our kids running around (who found other kids to run around with too, so I'd say it's family friendly). Staff were nice, service was prompt. Tasting fee waived with 4 bottle purchase seems a little steep to me, but that's mostly my only complaint.

Absolutely beautiful grounds and view! I joined the club last summer after celebrating my birthday on the patio with a tasting and recently hosted an event. Great place to enjoy wine with friends and family!

I've lived in South Bay for almost a decade now and no one told me there were great winery options in Los Gatos?! I'll excuse it since it's a bit hidden off a road of highway 17 heading to Santa Cruz, but still--why has it taken me this long to find out we had good options nearby? I now need to tell my friends and family that you don't have to make the trek all the way to Napa for some good wineries, you can head over to Wrights Station to enjoy a tasting here in the beautiful nature and also have some other winery options nearby if you're looking to winery hop! I purchased two wine tasting ahead of time online and came here on a Saturday. They were about $20 per tasting which was very reasonable and the venue allowed bringing your own food. We picked up some sandwiches from Mr. Pickles in Los Gatos and enjoyed our tasting along with our sandwiches we brought. It was perfect and felt so nice to be in a place surrounded by beautiful tall trees. The place had bocce ball and is also dog friendly so our dog got to come along and meet other pups as well. The staff was friendly, although our specific waiter gave off the vibe he didn't really want to be there and wanted to just rush away after giving us our tasting. We didn't see him again and a nearby waitress later checked on us, but other than that the place and experience was spectacular. I would come again and recommend to friends and family.

Nice, easy drive up highway 17 to get here. Beautiful grounds. Very nice tasting room and main house with sun room. Lots of outdoor seating under umbrellas. They have a cool redwood grove for small weddings and other social gatherings about 4 minutes walk from the tasting room. They focus on Pinot and Chardonnay. They grow those grapes to make wine. In fact they told us they sell Chardonnay grapes to most of the wineries in the area. They purchase another varietals, for instance cabs. I really enjoyed the 2018 Estate Cuvée Chardonnay which was oak barrel fermented. It features perfectly ripe apple and pear-tart flavors. An earthy toasted taste. Bottle $33The 2018 Lago Lomita Pinot Noir was also nice. Not sure if these are their grapes. Its dark and rich, lots of spice and intense boysenberry aroma and black-raspberry flavors. Bottle $43

I visited Wright's Station today (1/29/2023) for a wine club member event. The event consisted of a guided wine and cheese pairing and was hosted by the winemaker and owner himself. Overall, the experience was enjoyable and it was a lot of fun to explore how the wines and cheeses played off each other. My only complaint is that the experience itself definitely felt rushed. One hour is what was allocated to the tasting experience of 4 wines and 4 cheeses in this large group. The staff tried to encourage guests to "finish what's left in your glass so we can move on to our next wine" but this visibly disturbed some guests who were enjoying sipping and savoring their wine and cheese and preferred not to quickly drink what they were given. At the conclusion of the experience, the owner remarked "we need to turn over these tables and prepare for the next group" which I can definitely respect the need to honor the next appointment but perhaps some buffer time should be built into the experience to allow for this "turn over" and not place the urgency of the matter on the guests. All in all, this was still an enjoyable experience. I hope some of this feedback can be utilized to build 5-star experiences in the future. Cheers!

felt like a much more low key relaxed winery compared to some others in the area. the person working in the tasting room was very friendly and helpful, the tastings were well thought out and good sized pours. plenty of tables for outdoor seating, even a bocce court! loved the flowers and charcuterie boxes for sale
