Friendly and efficient service Food--rad nar: gravy like sauce is too thick and too much. Thick noodles are drowned in sauce. Would be better with less sauce-crispy rad nar: made with crispy noodles. Also too much sauce, so the noodles melt too fast and don't stay crispy Long-spicy basil snapper: comes with lots of crunchy onion. Red sauce. DELICIOUS -pad Thai-green curry: medium spicy. Good-pad see ew: delicious-duck fried rice: EXCELLENT. Plenty of heat giving the rice the duck flavorRecently repainted and decorated. New wall art and some floral decor Street parking. Easy.

So I have been to Thailand three times. 12/23, 3/24 and 12/24. Three times within a 12 month period. I went here about 15 years ago randomly knowing nothing of Thai cuisine. Upon coming back from my most recent trip to Thailand I decided to take my mother because she has never been to Thailand and had only tried Thai cuisine at a restaurant in the Sunset. Long story short this is a pretty great spot for authentic Thai food and authentic Thai ambiance. They have a shrine where they put out Red Soda or Strawberry soda. They offer both Singha and Chang (Thai beers). The hot Thai tea and the iced Thai tea were both amazing. The only thing I would have liked would be lime, bean sprouts and peanuts and a container of Thai chilis. It is also much easier to park than anywhere in the city. Definitely worth going!

easy, go to place for quick takeout -- I usually prefer pad see ew or drunken noodle over pad thai at most places, but pad thai is my go to from here, especially with tofu since they don't do deep fried tofu like most places. The pad see ew is slightly bland and drunken noodle spice level is different every time (typically too spicy) for my taste. The pineapple fried rice, panang or duck curries, and pad thai are our reliable orders for an indulgent takeout dinner! service is smooth even during dinnertime, but anticipate a handful of other people waiting for takeout during weeknights

Hidden gem alert in SSF! White Elephant stands out with its vibrant tasting dishes and friendly and quick service. It's a local favorite amongst many in the area The dishes we tried were: Green Curry - Flavorful and piping hot, it's a staple that will have you eating more rice than you intended.Pad See Ewe - The flavor, temperature and wok heat were all perfect for one of our go-to dishes;Basil Fried Rice - A good solid dish with wok heat and soft fluffy rice packed with flavor. Stuffed Eggplant in Green Curry Sauce - A just try! I love stuffed eggplant and their fish paste was bouncy and flavorful and had a whole shrimp in the middle. Eggplant was soft and the green curry sauce was on the saltier side but was perfect for the eggplant. Spicy Basil Sole Filet - Easily my go-to dish akin to a sweet and sour fish but perfumed with basil and accompanied with onions and peppers Angel Wings - Fried wings swimming in a sticky sweet chili sauce is a recipe for a crowd pleaser.Tom Yum Soup - I loved the notes of fragrant lemongrass and they don't skimp on the seafood! Beware of getting medium spice here since it is very throaty and lingers in your mouth long after!

We were craving some Thai food and didn't want to go too far so White Elephant seemed like the perfect option. We got a couple of dishes to share but portions were rather small for the price. Most lacked some flavor and the only thing I would order again is the duck curry. It was creamy, rich and went nicely with a side of rice. The staff were kind but service was a bit slow since there was only one waitress serving all tables. Parking can get busy around dinner time but you can usually find a spot in the Smart & Final lot if the street parking is full. In my opinion, there are much better Thai places in the Bay, as well as other food options on Hazelwood that I would prefer. However, the food was overall decent.

Had been eyeing this place after my friend told me they had fried ice cream here and I was so excited because I feel like many Asian restaurants don't do that anymore! Sad to report that no longer have fried ice cream on their menu but they do have fried banana with ice cream. We ordered an array of dishes. Red curry, which I wasn't a fan of. Crab fried rice, loved this one. Pad kee Mao, which was also delectable and a papaya salad that had a nice crunch. Overall food was good, service was ok. The portion size was a tad smaller than I expected but overall an above average Thai restaurant. If I was in the area I would definitely come again.

We ordered a mix of dishes to share:The duck curry was easily the standout. Rich, creamy, and just the right balance of sweet and spicy, with perfectly cooked duck that was tender and flavorful. The crab fried rice was okay, not the best I've had but got the job done, felt a little clumpy. For appetizers, we got the crispy tofu and fish cakes. The tofu had a perfect crunch on the outside but stayed soft inside, and the dipping sauce gave it a nice tangy kick. It was a little bland though, and didn't have much seasoning on it, but I didn't mind it.The fish cakes were well-seasoned and had great texture. Unique item. The spicy basil fish was the right amount of heat without overpowering the fresh basil and garlic flavors. It was heavy on the onions/ bell peppers and a little low on the fish. Service was slow, but the place did seem understaffed and very busy. Had to wait a little while to get our order in but understandable since it was so busy. Food came out very quick once our order was in.
