Vons Chicken

Been coming here since it opened. The fried chicken is delicious and consistent. Ordered today and there was some confusion to the order. They were really nice and remade my order which I really appreciated. Some place try to blame you, they just made it right. Thanks for the great chicken and service.

I picked up a full chicken order with honey butter. The flavor was great but the quality of the chicken was not that good and too dry. The lady at the counter was super nice and friendly.

This is my favorite Korean fried chicken place for to-go! We make the rice at home, order online and it's usually ready in 15-20 minutes.The crispy yangnyeom chicken (5/5) has great crispness and flavor. The half size is perfect to split between me and my boyfriend. We also like to get half medium and half mild sauces because the medium is a bit too spicy and the mild balances it out well. I've always eaten to-go so that's how I'd recommend you guys do it too :)

Went in on a weekday 12:30pm, completely empty. Ordered the lunch special for $13.99 which turned out amazing! Perfect for a quick lunch. Chicken was crispy and had a little kick. Kimchi fried rice didn't really have much kimchi but still tasted good. I would go back if I am in the area again.

Came here for some fried chicken with my family and our friends for dinner yesterday. We were a party of 10. Our party ordered 4 full trays of chicken. We had the Soy Garlic (which was my favorite), Extra Crispy (the kid's favorite), Garlic, and Scallion Chicken. All the flavors were great- tender in the inside and with a nice flavor and crunch on the outside. For appetizers we had the glass noodles (Jap Chae), sweet potato fries, and regular fries. Those were fine. Service was easy, with the waitstaff being very friendly and hospitable. They took our order at the counter and we paid at the counter. Since we were dining in, they gave us plates, forks, napkins, and beverages. Ambiance is clean and well kept. It's actually spacious with a few tables inside and outside. As our party wrapped up and left, we said our goodbyes outside the restaurant. Then about 10 minutes after we had stepped outside, an employee (not sure if she was the manager or owner) came outside with a new printed check and asked us for TIP!! After we gave the check back to her, she looked at the amount, turned, and with a displeased smile, she said thank you. We were so shocked and thrown off guard as this has never happened before with someone coming up to us asking for a tip. Let alone at a fast food restaurant. First off, it was not a dining experience with waitstaff who came to clear your table, refill your water, and gave you napkins. Second, if they did require a tip, they didn't state that on their menu or establishment. That definitely left an awful feeling for me and my party as we left. So, unfortunately, this is not the place for us to return as it had definitely left a bad impression. If you want to go here, I recommend not dining in. If you do, be prepared to tip.

Vons Chicken offers delicious Korean fried and grilled chicken that you won't regret indulging in - although not ideal if you're trying to shed a few pounds. My husband ordered the crispy garlic boneless chicken, and it was fantastic. I opted for the Cheese Buldak, which was boneless chicken topped with melted cheese, rice cake, and served on a bed of onions - it was simply heavenly. Pablo, our server, provided excellent table service, and I must give him a shout out. The restaurant is spotless, and there's plenty of parking, making it easy to find. Whether you choose to dine in or order takeouts, you'll be in for a treat at Vons Chicken.

I ordered kimbop and soduk and it was disappointing and somewhat deceptive. They are using trader joe's kimbop(veggie roll).. don't order the kimbob from here. It's only 4$ from trader joes and they are charging 7 dollar by just microwaving it. Soduk was good and authentic.

After trying their chicken at a friend's party, we decided to check them out for ourselves. Since it's our first time, we went during lunch. They offer a weekday combo special for $13.99 on Tuesday - Friday (at least this location). We ordered onsite and was told our order would we be ready in 10 min. We had the crispy chicken tenders (boneless - mild) and a side of Kimchi fried rice (+$1 extra). The food is made to order so it's serve hot. The chicken was tasty and crispy with the right amount of coating. The 6-piece order was more than enough for me. Kimchi fried rice was simple but also tasty. The order also comes with a small side of pickled radish which was a nice contrast to the meal. I'd say the prices are a bit more than what you normally pay for a lunch deal but I thought it was worth it. Service was fine. We'll try again...

Came here with a friend on his recommendation without any expectations so I was super excited to find out it's Korean style fried chicken! We split a bunch of food, probably more than we bargained for and still finished it all. The sides were great, tteokbokki, cole slaw, and pickled radishes complement the meal really well. The highlight of the meal was the Yangnyeom chicken, that sauce was incredible. The breading on all the fried chicken was really perfect. Not too light, not too heavy, we'll seasoned and got that sauce to stick really well. I'm glad this place is so close to home because we'll definitely be coming back!

Vons offers both fried and roasted chicken as well as some Korean side dishes like tteokbokki. You order and pay at the counter, but the food is brought out to your table and they bus the table. They provided food safe gloves which was really convenient for eating the saucy chicken. I've never been offered this before and now I'm not sure I'll be able to eat chicken again without it, haha.We ordered two "half" size combo 1 and a side, and this turned out to be a lot of food. A "wing" here is either a flat or drumette (i.e. 2 "wings" is a full wing), while a "drum" here is actually the leg drumstick. Each half combo 1 was 4 wings and 3 drums.We liked the Hot Vons Special sauce which had a good kick to it without being overwhelming. The Crispy Real Garlic flavor was much sweeter than we were expecting and we probably won't get this one again. However, we liked how crispy the fried chicken was -- we'll try a different flavor next time.The Sodduck (So-Tteok) was fine, but nothing special. The chicken portion was larger than we expected, so we probably wouldn't order a side next time.
