Calamari 4/5 - the portion size was pretty high for an appetizer. Sauce was good. My friends got a few pasta dishes to share and they were all decent. Staff wasn't very friendly tho. They seemed annoyed and impatient as we were ordering. One friend asked the waiter what his favorite pasta is and he said "it depends what you like".. so not very helpful. Wouldn't come back bc of the bad service.

Vaso Azzurro was our selection for an anniversary dinner. It always has such a cozy ambiance. It feels like going to your neighborhood Italian restaurant where everyone knows you, and you are teleported to Europe. Staff is so friendly. Always lovely to see chef/owner at the door, and at our visit the bartender was in such a good mood too. He was tending to all guests, making jokes and making everyone feel at home.We were courageous and tried pizza this time. While it gave home pizza vibes, we will for sure stick with their pasta dishes next time. Seafood pasta was quite full and enough for sharing across two people. Apple strudel was delicious as always and such a nice way to close out the day.

Nice Italian restaurant located at the end of Castro street. Great location, friendly staff. The lobster ravioli was colorful and cooked perfectly. The fried calamari was also great when it was fresh but later it got cold and couldn't end up finishing it, so be sure to eat it quickly! Overall it was a very filling meal and a pleasant experience.

Came by for dinner on a Sunday night and it was lovely. Cozy spot for some good Italian food. We started off with their Bruschetta Napoletana and Vongole Al Vapore. The baguettes were nicely toasted and the clams were flavorful. For our mains we got the Linguini Azzurro and Gamberoni Portofino. Both were very delicious with generous amounts of seafood

This restaurant has a classy and inviting atmosphere. The pasta is rich in flavor, making it well worth the price. The freshly baked appetizer bread is soft and delicious. The service was excellent, but I did notice that when the train passed by, it got quite loud inside. The staff didn't close the door or take any steps to reduce the noise.

Looking for a cozy Italian spot that could take a last-minute reservation on a Sunday evening, I found Vaso Azzurro. We arrived just as they brought out a fresh batch of bread, which was warm and paired nicely with the dipping oil. For our main courses, we shared the Fettuccine Alfredo and Ravioli di Funghi Selvatici -- both rich, creamy, and vegetarian. While delicious, the white sauces were a bit heavy, and next time, I'd mix it up with a red sauce dish for a lighter balance. The mushroom/bell pepper filling inside the ravioli was delicious, and we had plenty of food leftover between two people. Despite the restaurant being quiet, the service was attentive, and we had a lovely time overall.

I've been here a few times and it's always great! This is one of my favorite Italian places in South Bay. I usually get their pastas and it's always so flavorful - I think their best one is the spaghetti carbonara. They also change up their specials. I've tried the salmon and enjoyed it a lot. Price wise, it is also quite decent. Each meal also comes with free bread, which is quite tasty! The ambiance is very casual, it's a great place for any occasion!

Located at the end of Castro Street, right next to the Mountain View train station, Vaso Azzurro Ristorante is a hidden gem that offers a delightful dining experience. The subtle decor and charming outdoor seating create an inviting atmosphere that we absolutely love. The staff here are incredibly friendly and attentive, making every visit a pleasure. One of the highlights is the house-made focaccia bread, served with a delectable olive oil herb dip that sets the tone for the meal.Vegetarians will find plenty to enjoy on the menu, including the bruschetta and aubergine stew. These dishes are packed with flavor and pair wonderfully with the bread and a glass of wine.A must-try is their lobster ravioli, featuring a signature black and white striped raviolo served in a perfect vodka cream sauce. The tomatoes in the dish are perfectly chunky, adding a tangy zing that complements the rich, creamy sauce. To top off the meal, don't miss their tiramisu. It's a delightful, "mamma mia!" experience that rounds out the culinary journey at Vaso Azzurro. In summary, Vaso Azzurro Ristorante is a fantastic spot for both locals and visitors. With its delicious food, friendly service, and cozy ambiance, it's a standout dining destination in Mountain View.Make sure to also spend some time on Castro Street, which gets very lively on a summer weekend. They have lots of activities like singing and dancing. You can easily spend time walking along the curb and the street, enjoying the pubs and resto bars. The vibrant atmosphere is the perfect complement to your dining experience.

Had a team dinner here and they were able to accommodate a same day reservation for a group of 9 people. We weren't able to get a table inside since they had another big party but the weather was so nice out that we all enjoyed eating outside on the patio. We ordered a few apps to share. My favorite was the calamari. Their focaccia bread was soft and delicious. I got the chicken parm which was pretty mediocre but coworker seemed to enjoy their pasta dishes.
