Upper Crust Pizza & Pasta

This was our first time trying UC and were excited about it. Ultimately, the food is just meh. Inside of the restaurant was nice and they had a nice bar.We ordered a Mediterranean pizza, garlic bread and wings. The wings were slightly undercooked (I threw them in the air fryer at home), the garlic bread was soggy, and the pizza simply wasn't very good.I ate half of one slice before stopping. We threw away the leftovers the next morning as neither my wife, nor I, wanted to continue. I see a lot of people who have great experiences here, but it was a miss for us. There are a lot of much better pizza places in the area and many of them are even chain restaurants. Side note....we checked our order before leaving the restaurant and they had included a sandwich we did not order. When we notified the staff, they took and put it back on the to go rack. Luckily, we only touched the wrapper, but we still opened it. Hoping it did not go out to anyone.

Upper Crust Pizza in Santa Cruz is a must-visit! The pizza was delicious!! It's super cheesy with the perfect crust and you can tell they use quality ingredients. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They were very approachable and that made the experience even better. The vibe inside was casual and upbeat. It's a great spot to relax and enjoy a good slice. It's always busy, which speaks to how good it is, but the wait is never long. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this place is definitely worth a visit!

My family came here to eat a late lunch with my family . We are not originally from Santa Cruz so this was a great treat . We got wings pizza salad soups .And a Greek salad which was so good Very delicious pizza . wings were good to spicy for the kids but overall amazing food can't wait till we come back .

It's Upper Crust. It's a Santa Cruz institution. The pizza is decent, I usually get a slice or two each time I'm in town. I can't speak to the rest of the menu. Whole pies are and have always been spendy.

Tried for the first time after hearing great things. Got the Italian sweet & spicy on thick crust Sicilian for carryout - might've been the most bland pizza I ever had. Really wanted to like it but was deeply disappointed, especially at the price and with so many positive reviews... Next time will go to Woodstocks or Pizza My Heart :/

Dinner here this past weekend was great. Parking was easy in a fairly large dedicated lot. The restaurant setting was a bit plain, but there were beautiful artworks on the walls, displaying different landmarks and scenes in nature. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available, and the place was pretty empty on a Sunday evening. Service was more than sufficient, the staff patiently answering our questions about menu items, and the wait time was reasonable for our food to be ready. The meat lasagna was served in a bowl and covered in marinara sauce with two slices of garlic bread on the side, a carb-heavy filling dish. The original meat combo pizza on the sicilian square crust was actually quite large for a "small" size. It looked to be about 11x11 inches, and thick, so we definitely had leftovers. Melty cheese oozing from these slices and ample fresh and tasty ingredients... surprisingly, the sauce and crust were almost flavorless, so the pizza as a whole ended up being a little underwhelming. It wasn't bad though, and I'd still give 4 stars for the overall experience here.

The dough so yummy and thick, got half meat combo and half Mediterranean both did not disappoint order takeout young man was friendly. It was giant and well-made. Was quoted 20 minutes right on time. I don't see a place to change the location, but I went to the Santa Cruz, Soquel spot , I will be back prices are not bad and I can't wait to get an cannoli next time

Upper Crust pizza did not disappoint, buy by the slice or buy a whole pizza. My wife and I bought a slice of cheese and a slice of pepperoni, both were delicious. Pizza reminded me a lot of homemade pizza my mom use to make. Place has lots of room for big groups of ppl, easy parking, staff were polite and friendly, big variety of drinks on sale.

I was having a great day, and I go "oh, I'll grab a slice". Go in there stoked that they have slices for sale. There was not a single soul in that building besides the one dude working. It was so dark in there and creepy. The guy sells me the slice of "pepperoni" which had a ton of this nasty cheese and one sad little piece of pepperoni. Was having a great day and now I'm hungry AND pissed off . What a waste of $6.50. Should have gotten a sandwich instead at Mikes. I don't have the cojones to ever get my money back at places hahaha. Avoid this place. What a shame. Can't wait for Woodstocks to open again after the remodel:)

Great pizza with fast, friendly service!We started with the muffuletta appetizer and a Caesar salad, both of which were delicious. For the main course, we had the hot honey pizza and BBQ chicken pizza--both were packed with flavor, and you could really taste the freshness of the ingredients. The house-made ranch is absolutely mouthwatering!
