Highly recommend, especially for catering. Every one always asks to take home left overs when I order this for my parties. All the meats were fire. The sides were fine, but people weren't hot about the Mac and cheese.

Everything about this place is a 5 star. The service, food, and environment were awesome. I chuckled walking in because it had a sign saying "If you have a reservation, you're in the wrong place." It is such a chill vibe. I didn't get the person's name behind the counter, but his customer service was suburb. My husband found this place on Yelp. My bonus daughter is doing a play and had rehearsal at the community theatre. We needed something to do for 2 1/2 hours. It was a nice day date on a Saturday. There was a farmers market nearby and a lot of other places to check out.Back to my review for Trail Dust Barbecue, all the meats were yummy and flavorful. I didn't have a big appetite and I was able to get a tri tip kids meal with cornbread and potato salad. My husband got a two combo with brisket and pulled pork. Also, two sides, mac and cheese and coleslaw. We got cornbread and garlic bread. I was told the brisket gets sold out daily. All the sides were good and I liked it all equally. Mac and cheese isn't cheesy but enough cheese, the coleslaw had a apple cider vinegar taste (maybe it's just me) that I enjoyed, and the potato salad tasted like a perfect bbq potato salad. Lastly, I paired it all with a sour ale which was a perfect amount of tart.I would try everything again and I want to go back with a big appetite. I would like to try their desserts next.

I feel like I owe this place an updated review since it's been over 10 yrs since I first reviewed it. The food has improved quite a bit. I remember my first experience wasn't the best but now we do frequent this place whenever we're feeling some BBQ. It's a local favorite among smoked meat joints and I'd have to say I think their BBQ sauce is now my favorite! It has a nice smoky flavor and their spicy has a nice kick without being overpowering.During Covid we ordered from this place quite a bit and now that Covid is a thing of the past, we actually dined in! The ratio of men-women is still unbalanced but that's every BBQ place. If you wanna see more women, go hit up Fresh Choice.

Soooo yummy! Deff satisfies any BBQ cravings you may have! The Brisket is so soft and breaks apart so smoothly and melts in your mouth The salad was sooo fresh too, I was kinda impressed. It looked as if it was just made and the veggies were just bought.

Food: Went with the Brisket plate (reg), Mac and cheese, and beans. The brisket was flavorful but dry, mac was tasty, and beans were really good with a little kick to them. I recommend adding the bbq sauce to everything. The garlic bread that it came with tasted good but was cold. I really wasn't impressed but it was all worth the try.Ambiance: Clean establishment both inside and out. Nice assortment of craft beer. Friendly staff that were eager to help.Parking: There's street parking and parking structure parking. I didn't have any issues finding a spot Saturday afternoon.

Mac and cheese was bland, not cheesy, and needed some oomph. Burnt ends were DRY and very tough like an eraser. Brisket was mediocre. But I can only speak on those two meats as i didn't try the others. As for sides, I think I only liked the corn bread and the potato salad. The corn bread was moist and fluffy, the butter was good on top of it as well. Their side spicy bbq sauce wasnt very spicy. For the bread pudding, it was decent. I wish it was more eggy but it tasted more like bread. Outside of bread pudding was hard but towards the center was nice and soft.service was good, staff was very nice and efficient.

Went here for dinner with my parents. Ample seating and there's a cute patio outdoors with lil fairy lights that turn on at night which makes it the perfect spot to chat with family and friends over a smokey meal!We got 3 plates of three different meats. The trip tip and brisket were very tender and juicy. All plates come with garlic bread, pickled veggies, and two other sides. The burnt ends were super flavorful but were a bit too salty for our preference. We got sides of mac & cheese, cornbread, coleslaw, and potato salad.Cashier was good at explaining the difference between the different dishes and food came out hot and quickly!

So glad I came here! You walk in and walk right up to the register to order, service was great the girls were really friendly :) I ordered the brisket sandwich in garlic bread with beans and a cream soda and my boyfriend ordered the tri tip sandwich on garlic bread with beans and a beer. This was probably the best brisket sandwich I have had! Highly recommend trying it out - even my boyfriend finished the rest of my sandwich and said it was even better than his already amazing trip tip sandwich. The inside reminded me of a bbq spot I visited in New Orleans once. Very homey and comfortable inside. I would absolutely come here all the time if I didn't live two hours away! You have try the brisket sandwich on garlic bread!!

Trail Dust never misses! Definitely one of the best barbecue qualities you can get in the South Bay Area. I arrived on a Sunday at around 2 pm. Since it was later in the day, the website wasn't too packed, and we were able to order at the counter very quickly. We ordered the combo meal with burnt ends and brisket, with sides of corn bread, cold slaw, and potato salad. Every portion of this meal was delicious. The burnt ends had the perfect smoky crunch and sweetness, which was a great contrast to the tender salty brisket which could melt in your mouth. I absolutely loved the corn bread -- many places tend to make it more sweet but Trail Dust leans toward a more savory corn bread which I enjoyed immensely. The cole slaw and potato salad were so fresh. We licked our plates clean (as we always do at Trail Dust!). Such phenomenal food every time, and I look forward to the next time we're back!!
