Boba Milk TeaJudgment: Atea is smooth and made smoother by the light but confident creamhits the right level of sweetness and achieves spot on balance between the main componentspog pearls (squishier and smaller in higher quantities)not even close to being filled to the top but also kinda expected on a BOGO daybout a 35 min total wait/turnaround, but typically there's some level of wait/turnaround time even without BOGO and they always work pretty fasta lil bit of lenience is afforded for specifically BOGO days but tbh you can view BOGO days as a limit test, which measures the skill/consistency of the workers, efficiency of the whole process that translates to total wait time, and management training/scheduling appropriate staff to prep for these daysa place that handles itself well during BOGO, especially in terms of consistency, is a place that deserves respect$5.951/11/25

Happy anniversary to my favorite shop for milk tea in the Bay Area! They were holding a BOGO events and tote bags for the first 100 customer this weekend, and I went with my friend to celebrate :) The wait was a little long with the event, but the workers were so thoughtful to pass out small cold cups of their tea offerings while we waited in the sun. Tie Guan Yin cream cheese foam - wow the cream cheese foam is so delicious! It's thick and super cheesy/creamy. The tea comes through as you sip the foam top so you get a taste of both at the same time while you drink. It's the perfect consistency! Strawberry Matcha Latte - I didn't know that their matcha is also solid here, but this drink was also very good! I like to drink 15% sweetness here usually, but I opted for 0% because the strawberry puree is already sweetened, and I thought it was the perfect level of sweetness for me. My friend ordered the other two drinks and was told they were also solid! Hopeful for more years to come with TP Tea, thank you for always serving the best milk tea in the area!

TP Tea is an offshoot of Chun Shui Tang in Taiwan (the chain that stakes the claim as the inventor of bubble tea) and so naturally I had high expectations. Their menu is pretty extensive so I chose a pretty basic option -- tieguanyin fresh milk with boba. 30% sugar was more like 50% in other places, but they do offer 15%. I think this is probably one of the more satisfactory places for boba in the Bay Area, although I prefer the boba to be less soft. The tea taste was sufficiently strong even with the milk.

Delicious and the pearls were a great size. The kiosk ordering was quick and easy. Lots of people chatting on a Tuesday night so the ambiance was great. Would come again for the delicious tea!

I swear there's something about south bay TP Teas that do it better than east bay locations??? Am I insane? Or maybe franchise owners are taking creative liberties at each location LOL. Decently impressed with this one!Super typical kiosk setup-- order and wait on the side. Hardly any seating. Standard black and white and wood minimalist interior.TGY FAMILY MILK TEA (80% sugar, no ice): The tea is good, and so are the toppings, but something about the coffee jelly and TGY tea together makes a strange smoky flavor that is a bit jarring. Still a good drink, just interesting. I'm a huge fan of TGY tea so wish there was more of that natural tea flavor. I will say that the small coffee jelly chunks are waaaay preferred over the large blobs some other boba shops serve that are harder to drink through the straw.I definitely recommend reducing the sugar since it's already pretty sweet by default!

TP Tea does a very good milk tea. There was no wait when I came on a Monday afternoon. Even on a much busier Saturday night, I only waited a little over five minutes for my drink after I ordered. Taiwan Classic Milk Tea ($6.95, boba, QQ noodle, grass jelly already included) - This is a standard milk tea, maybe just a bit sweeter than average and comes pre-loaded with three topping favorites. QQ noodle is a clear, glass jelly noodle that is very chewy but easy to chew. Boba is more dense, slightly harder and chewier. Grass jelly is a light, slippery herbal jelly that is more subtle than bold and supposedly has antioxidant benefits. If you like all the toppings, then this drink is a steal because it's basically $1 more to get three toppings over the typical milk tea. The tea has a bold black tea flavor with a good balance of cream and sweetness. Tie Guan Ying Milk Tea ($5.95) - I haven't seen tie guan ying (it's a specific type of tea leaf) milk tea at many tea spots so I had to give this a try. It has a noticeable tie guan ying tea flavor mixed perfectly with cream and sugar. I liked this one too. I would recommend both of these milk teas equally, really it just depends on if you are craving tie guan ying flavor, then get that. If that difference doesn't matter so much to you and you just want any milk tea with lots of chew toppings, get the Taiwan Classic. As always, you can add various toppings a la carte to any drink. My favorite topping was the QQ noodle, as that is special to TP Tea. I get that full chew without my jaw having to work as hard as with standard boba. This location has a few seats, maybe about 10. Most people just drink their tea outside if they are with a group but inside, the seats arrangements are most accommodating if you just have two or three people.

I've had this too many times over the past year, and for good reason. I've had the milk tea, fruit tea, and smoothies. These guys have not missed once, I've loved everything I've gotten. The Tie Guan Yin milk tea with cheese foam added is genuinely my favorite tea ever. I've tried at least 10 tea spots in the area, and I keep coming back here. If you add extra instructions they actually listen, they definitely care about the quality of their tea, even when they're busy. My favorite part aside from the taste is the consistency, I know I'll always get an amazing tasting drink whenever I come, I haven't had a bad batch yet. 10/10 would come here as long as I live.

My current favorite boba location. I was originally put off by the name, but discovered this is a legit chain from Taiwan, which gave it enough cred that I thought i'd give it a shot. luckily i did! the tea has a nice strong tea flavor, which is my foremost requisite for boba. I almost always get the golden osmanthus, which despite the name, does not have any osmanthus (it gets its name from the oolong having a fragrance reminiscent of osmanthus blossoms). honestly, if you had told me that this was oolong with osmanthus flowers (another kind of tea), i might believe you, the fragrance is that similar. I get the golden osmanthus with ai-yu jelly, which is a taiwanese staple in such drinks, and the tea and ai-yu pair very harmoniously, especially with a hint of lemon.can't wait for my next cup!

I've been meaning to try TP Tea for a while since I've heard that they're a popular chain, but never got the opportunity to...until now! I was excited to hear that this location was opening up, so I made sure to visit to give them a try.My go-to drink is the Tie Guan Yin Milk Tea. The tea flavor is great and I enjoy their boba as well. I go with 70% sweetness and it's the right amount for me. If you're looking for a boba spot, TP Tea is a great option to choose.
