Customer service 5 starReally appreciated the chef tried to talk me through difference between two dishes. Also, curtesy call when my order was ready earlier than stated Restaurant is bright and cheerful, appears clean.Slices of fish are beautifully displayed. I ordered White Tiger roll and The boat (assorted sashimi and Nigel)Slices are thick and juicy appearance. Prices are good. Area for improvement would be actual selection of fish. The fish was not high grade fish, not choice parts of the fish. If you don't eat sushi often, You might incorrectly think, fish not fresh. It's fresh but lower grade selection. The miso soup is rich and creamy delicious 5+Funny, but one of the best miso soups I've tasted. I now wonder if I should have tried their ramen? The miso is excellent.

Went today for lunch. Many items were fresh and tasted good. Ordered the #2 lunch bento with salmon sashimi, hamachi nigiri, and spicy tuna roll. This is a premium meal option at almost $25. This was a mistake. The spicy tuna roll came out brown, soggy in mayonnaise and fish looking old and discolored. Hamachi nigiri had an inhumane amount of wasabi applied running the first nigiri before I could scrape it off for the second.For the spicy tuna roll, it did not meet my criteria off attempting a bite. I tried to send it back and ask for exchange for a salmon maki as I did not wish to see another attempt at spicy tuna if they would allow something like this to come out.Unfortunately the English of the staff was not the greatest. Server thought I was asking if the roll was a salmon maki and did not understand my concern. She brought the chef out who I explained my issue with the color to. He tried to tell me the color was normal because it was sitting in the sauce. Not sure if he understood my exchange request but left without any other consideration on the roll which looked like dog food on avocado. Spicy tuna should be red not brown and not a good sign if a chef lets that come out. Many other dishes at our table were fine and tasty but this was not.

My friend and I had a city day & we were both craving sushi. We were hanging out in the Richmond district and stumbled upon this spot. They had so many options on the menu and I really liked that they had pictures of the rolls. I'm more of a nigiri person and I really enjoyed the options I chose. We also ordered the seaweed salad and chicken karaage which was super yummy. Our server was really nice and attentive. Would def come back to this spot.

So my friend and I felt like grabbing dinner and the food was super yummy and quite reasonably priced! The service was so attentive-- i swear they filled my hot tea like 18 times... :) ambiance was your typical sushi joint, but it honestly felt so homey and warm, we didn't want to leave! I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants some good sushi and generous portions!

Really enjoyed this place. We had - double sake roll. My 12 year old said that was 11 out of 10- soft shell crab appetizer 4 stars- bento box with beef and sake sashimiFood came relatively quickly. Recommend it. Only reason not yet 5 stars is I need to come back again and order different things and see if it's just as good.

My family and I were searching for something to eat late around 9PM on a Thursday and this was one of the only restaurants open in the Richmond. We got seated immediately and then they gave us some free cucumbers to munch! I ordered all rolls and I did see other reviews that talked about the freshness of their nigiri so maybe that would've been the better choice & maybe I could've liked this place more.We ordered 4 rolls:- MAYBE Super Q Roll / Marine Boy Roll (I had a hard time figuring out what I ordered because the photos I took of the food didn't match up with the menu / too many things look similar. Both were baked rolls and just tasted mid because pieces would be falling apart and overkilled with the sauce.- SF Giants Roll (3/5 - honestly not sure if this was what we actually got because there were lemon slices on top of the salmon but nowhere on their menu has rolls with lemon slices or I misread ???)- Tuxedo Roll / (2/5 - I enjoyed most of this dish but something that they didn't mention from the menu was that they add this mango sauce which ruined the flavor palette of the entire roll; I get having unique sauces are good but there was already spicy sauce and mayo so the mango overpowered everything)Overall, I feel like they douse their rolls with sauce which killed it for me and each piece would be falling apart: just not a roll place I guess.

Came at around 6:30pm on a Thursday and got seated right away. Food was ready in no time, and I was very, very impressed. In terms of quality, I'd put this in my top 3 of all sushi places I've tried in SF so far.My favorite was The Boat. It was essentially a 10 piece Omakase with various assortments of Sashimi mixed in. The Sashimi was very high quality; both the tuna and salmon were very fresh and flavorful. The Nigiri was a little less impressive, but still solid nonetheless. The overall presentation was phenomenal. (5/5)The Yosemite Roll was really solid. Nothing special, but a somewhat unique roll featuring tuna deep fried in tempura and topped with Masago. It's one of the cheaper options on the menu, but was still very tasty and filling. (4/5)Overall, the interior was very nice and felt authentically Japanese. I loved the decor, and it made the whole eating experience much more enjoyable.
