The Smoke Point BBQ and Provisions

Whoa! This place is ridiculously delicious! Brought my family of six which includes four children (9, 5, 4, and 2yo). My 9yo said his cheeseburger was the best burger he ever had! I took a bite and it was pretty darn good. Just try whatever tastes good. Not everything may be a hit with you, but try the multiple sauces at the table. It brought one of my sandwiches from so-so to wham-bam, thank you Sam AH-mazing!!!!!And I really want to touch on how sweet the servers are. The three ladies who were taking care of us were just wonderful and I told my husband to leave a 20% tip and we spent a lot on our check so the tip was BIG! This is definitely a must stop before going home to the Central Valley after a fun day at the coast!

Brisket sandwich was perfect. Great smoke ring, flavor and tenderness. The sauces they provide gives everyone the ability to add their own flavor of choice. I particularly liked the Kansas City style. A bit disappointed in the Central Texas sauce. The bun is toast nicely but still soft. We ordered fries to share but it wasn't enough for two. Service was fine but we were the only ones in the restaurant. The place is comfortable and casual. Overall a great bbq spot.

This is such a cute hidden gem in San Juan Bautista! We stopped here on our way to Monterey with our 1 year old. The restaurant is small, but bright and airy. Our waitress was the sweetest. She brought a little toy and crayons for our son to play with. The food was delicious! I'm a big brussel sprouts fan and I will be dreaming about these ones for a while the meat was also really good, and prices were actually pretty decent! Also, one of my husband's AirPods fell out while we were there. He realized it about 30 min after we left. When he went back in to try to find it, our waitress had it waiting for him! I wish I got her name. We were there on 9/14 around 2 pm. This will definitely be our go-to stop on our way to Monterey now!

Love this spot! First, San Juan Bautista Mission is historic and the town is magical. SO worth the drive South of Gilroy. The Smoke Point BBQ is one of a couple wonderful restaurants but if you want REAL BBQ this is the spot! The menu is all about smoked meats with wonderful sides.Outside patio is dog friendly and a wonderful place to watch the GIGANTIC smoker being used. We love this spot! The service is warm and welcoming with seating inside and out. Wine and beer served along with family favorite sodas, lemonade and water. A must stop along the 101 drive south or headed up to Gilroy or San Jose. Walk the Mission or stop at all the wonderful shops.

Stumbled upon this great spot today after coming from Monterey. We were so famished and just happened to turn in to the city of San Juan Bautista (which we have never been to and were pleasantly surprised to find a cute little old town!).The restaurant is very nice, clean, and has ample seating both outside and inside. Today was a beautiful day so we sat outside.Food is phenomenal. Great portion sizes and just perfectly smoked flavor. We came with friends from out of town and we unanimously agreed this is the best american bbq we've had in California. Sides were also spectacular, we tried the corn bread, mac and cheese, loaded baked potato, and crispy Brussel sprouts (i don't particularly like brussel sprouts but they were out of broccolini and I wanted some greens so I got them and I now have a new appreciation for them).Every interaction we had with the staff was so pleasant. They were all so kind, welcoming, and our server gave great recommendations.Can't wait to come back!

We came here hungry for dinner on a Saturday after a long hike and we are really happy we picked this place because of how damn good and satisfying it was. The inside seating was full so they sat us on the back patio. It's still a bit chilly in early March so they provided heaters and a blanket for us to keep warm on the back outdoor patio. We ordered wings for the appetizer and they came out piping hot fresh and were so delicious. The wings had a nice crispy outside but it wasn't overly breaded or anything which was perfect. For our mains, I got a tri tip plate with Cesar salad and fries as my two sides. My partner got the half chicken with baked beans and Brussel sprouts. We also got their famous cornbread to try and that was really good and worth ordering. Our food from the wings to the tri tip, to the chicken, and all the sides were sooo good. The Kansas bbq was my favorite for the tri tip. We were both eating our food and nodding our heads in approval. Our waitress was attentive and checked on us a few times even though we were in the back patio away from all the other tables inside. We plan to return and bring family and friends here again with us. I hope to try the brisket next time!

What a gem!! We were just getting ready to once again abandon beautiful San Juan Bautista for lack of food when I decided to do a Yelp search. Unbelievably, the Smoke Point was 2 blocks away! We knew from the lovely grill smoke emanating from the building that it was going to be great! It was that and more! We had a tri tip sandwich with grilled asparagus. Everything cooked perfectly! We were also fortunate enough to meet the very friendly owner, Jarod. It's clear that Jarod knows food and the restaurant business. If you want great bbq in a very charming spot on the central coast, don't miss The Smoke Point!

My husband and I stopped here on our drive from the Central Coast back up to the Bay Area for some lunch. We were seated right away, with lots of seating options outside and inside. The service was top notch and so friendly. The food came out relatively quick too which was nice. We shared a meat plate with chicken and tri-tip and the meat was really tender and flavorful. I loved the 6 different bbq sauce options at the table. We got some banana bread pudding to go, it is worth it to save room for dessert here! Everything tasted amazing, we will definitely be coming back. This would also be a great place to bring kids too, we even saw baby chicks running around outside.

First time going this past weekend, the service was amazing very welcoming and kind. the food was GREAT definitely recommend that cornbread as an appetizer very delish!

My family and I ate here for the first time tonite. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere is so fun, and nicely decorated. The food did not dissapoint! The ribs were delicious... as was the brisket! The beans were really good. My wifes salad was fresh and crisp with lots of bacon and delicious ranch dressing. Our kids loved the french fries and grilled cheese. We will deff be going back!
