Break out the fancy attire, bring your best attitude & please (for the LOVE OF GOD) leave the denim at home when coming to the Grandview. Oh, perhaps the most important, make sure you tip your servers when coming here. They are working harder than Kris Jenner. The views are insane & it is very worth the drive. It appears they have changed the menu; it was incredible. All the food & the hand crafted cocktails were as elegant as ambiance we were absorbing. The service was my favorite. Jonathan ate it up with the incredible recommendations from all our favorite drinks, to helping with my dish choice, & taking all our photos. Thanks, J! We also met Kristina, another server who was killing it the entire night, as well. The Grandview has a wonderful host of servers who are making it spectacular. So please ensure you're tipping well. Highly recommend this location for a special occasion. It is so fun.

I celebrated my birthday here last month. It was such a mid experience. Sure, the view was nice. Company was great. The food was fine. I got the chicken parm. It doesn't come with any pasta on the side here but costs like $30 or $40? I don't know, maybe they sprinkled in gold in the tomato sauce? I had a drink that was too saccharine, not complex at all, but cost $17 or $19? The waitress RAVED about the dessert -- a chocolate lava cake -- that was almost $20. IT WAS SOOOO BORING. All told, we paid $300+ for this subpar experience. No wait, maybe a little more because for some reason they had a staff photographer walking around taking pictures of everybody that she then went and framed and then sold for $20 a pop). We obliged (what, it was my birthday!)Oh, but the best part was on our way out I stopped to use the restroom. My husband sat at the bar to grab his go-to drink -- an old-fashioned. There are no other patrons, but bartender is too busy to serve him because he's experimenting with a new drink, something akin to a strawberry version of an espresso martini. He hands it to him and my husband graciously accepts. He has me try it. We both think it's delicious and commend the bartender. Minutes later, he slaps the check down in a cup. $20. A drink we didn't even ask for. Pluses: that drink was good. Not $20 good (is any drink worth that much??), but it was fine. There was nice live jazz music playing in the lobby/bar area. That classed up the place a bit. And the views are great. But I wouldn't go back, even with all that. There are much better experiences for way less in the Bay.

Intimate ambiance and a very, very beautiful view. We watched the sunset from here. Our favorite is the beef carpaccio... simply perfect... I could eat it over and over again. Me and hubby devoured it in less than 10 minutes.Prime rib is good... tender, but not melt in your mouth tender. Pistacchio lamb with chimichurri was served a little cold and the chimichurri was too sour for me. We did not finished both but took them to-go.Now... my funny experience... so after we placed our orders, our server, who, by the way was so fun to talk to and was very attentive, said "i'll get you some potatoes to go with that", and I thought each of our orders came with a side dish... and I said, instead of 2 potatoes, can we change 1 to sauteed mushroom? So we were served with baked potatoes which we love and sauteed mushroom which I find sour. Then we got the bill... and I saw charges for the potatoes and mushroom, which I thought were complementary to our meal. I wish, instead of our server saying "let me get you..." it would have been better if he asked and said "would you like an order of baked potatoes..." We would still order the potatoes but probably not the mushroom. Then at the end of our dinner, they served us with a cheesecake in a plate with "happy anniversary" greeting, which we finished. (Not complementary).I would come back though and try their pasta... I saw it from another table and it looks promising. I also like the restaurants idea of farm to table.

I tried to get reservations but they were booked solid. It was a holiday so it was expected. I drove up there with my date (figuring we would get a drink at the bar) and we were seated right away. Wow! We arrived just before sun down and the name of the restaurant fits the description. I ordered the prime rib rare and it came out perfect. The service was great too. They had a bunch of heaters on the patio and it made it nice and cozy. This place is all about the view and it looks even better in person. If you're asking yourself if it's worth the drive...yes it is. What a great night. Thanks for the memories.

The Grandview is one of those places where the experience is more about the vibe and stunning views than the food itself. Perched on a hill, the restaurant offers a panoramic view of the surrounding area, making it a great spot for sunset dinners or a relaxing evening out. As for the food, it's decent but nothing to write home about. The menu has a variety of options, but the dishes we tried felt a bit underwhelming--fine, but not particularly memorable. The focus here seems to be more on the ambiance and the breathtaking views rather than culinary excellence. If you're looking for a place to enjoy great scenery, The Grandview is a solid choice. But if you're after top-tier dining, it might not be the spot to prioritize.

I'll be honest--I came here for my anniversary with pretty low expectations, mainly for the view, but the food pleasantly surprised me. The steak tartare was outstanding--so tender, with crispy capers adding such a unique touch. We ordered the prime rib rare and it was still flavorful and well-prepared. The squid ink pasta, however, was a miss for me. It was overly sour and tart, likely due to the cherry tomatoes. The staff was incredibly kind and offered to remake it, but unfortunately, it still had that same sourness. Next time, I'd just skip it altogether and maybe try a cream based sauce. On a brighter note, the ahi tuna tacos were absolutely delicious and incredibly addicting--I could've eaten a whole plate of them.Overall, the experience exceeded my initial expectations, and the staff's attentiveness added to the positive impression. The view, of course, was stunning, but the standout dishes and warm service made the evening memorable.

Ambiance was pretty good, definitely set the mood. It was a bit cold so we decided to sit inside instead on outside. It's quite limited in the view itself of the city lights. Sitting outside would be the better choice if the view is what matters. Quick and attentive waiters and always willing to answer questions. Off to the food review!4.3/5 - Poke nachos - I was questioning this at first as it doesn't fit the theme of the place. Boy was I wrong. Fish tasted fresh and the sauce matches it perfectly with some sweetness and acidity. On top of the perfect crunch from the taco shell. The leafy parts were not needed as it's just garnish.4/5 - GrandView Prime rib - Very tender piece of meat with one piece of carrot and one piece. of veggies. Flavor was really good and the sauce and horseradish was quite decent. It doesn't beat house of prime rib, but damn still very good. Tender enough to almost cut with a fork4/5 - GrandView Salmon - Surprised how well made this dish was. Salmon stuffed with blue crab and shrimp. The blue crab and salmon was the star of the dish with their flavors coming in beautifully together. Quite tender and perfectly cooked. Shrimps they used however was the tiny ones and didn't really add much and was just there3.8/5 - Nino sangria and Lychee martini - Both were suggested to be their sweetest drinks but both felt alcohol heavy and only taste the alcohol. Good to get drunk but did not taste that good.3.9/5 - Smashed Yukon potatoes - Got these to add to the steak. It tasted amazing with the truffle and butter goes perfectly well. Just wished they were smashed a bit more to add a crispiness and different texture. Just plain potatoes

I made a reservation for 5:00 (which is the perfect time to watch the sunset by the way). The drive up to the restaurant was so beautiful! We were greeted and seated promptly. Our waiter, Jesus, was great from the moment we sat down to the minute we left. We started off with complimentary bread and soup.- Costada d'Agnello Rustico (5/5): I'm usually not a fan of lamb but I really enjoyed the pistachio and chimichurri sauce. This dish was $68. I think this was my favorite of all the dishes we got.- Lobster Carbonara (4/5): The lobster tail was big and fresh. The carbonara was so rich and creamy. The two paired really well together but I'm not sure if it was worth $85.- Squid Ink Pasta and Prawns (4.5/5): This one was $45. Delicious and I loved the squid ink pasta. The tomato flavor was a little bit too strong in my opinion, making the dish taste more sour than savory. But I think that's just my preference. My boyfriend really enjoyed this one and said it was better than the Lobster Carbonara! This is the perfect place to have a celebratory dinner. Keep in mind, they do not offer complimentary desserts for birthdays. The ambiance is amazing and if you ever decide to come, you must get outdoor seating. They have heat lamps so don't worry about the chilly weather (take it from someone who HATES being cold). The cost is on the pricier side but the experience + the food was worth it. Thank you Grandview and thank you Jesus!
