The Boys’ Deli

My husband brought home sandwiches from here three times in one week. They must order their Dutch crunch from a sorcerer because that bread is magical. Their sandwich combos are pretty amazing--did I mention we had their sandwiches three times in one week?We had to stop because we were getting addicted. We are looking forward to the next time we treat ourselves to a sandwich from The Boys Deli.

I've always wanted to try The Boys' Deli because I have heard good things about the sandwiches from their location on Polk Street, but their San Bruno location is way more convenient for me. This location isn't a full on grocery store, but they got a nice variety of chips and drinks. The service is pretty friendly and this is more of a grab and go type of shop since there's only a few seats inside.I ordered for myself the SanFranPsycho Sandwich with everything on it except for pickles. The sandwiches are $16 currently which is pretty standard for any sandwich shop typically. The SanFranPsycho comes with maple honey turkey, bacon, chipotle gouda cheese, pesto & garlic butter spread. I definitely regret getting everything on it because the mustard could overpower their tasty pesto & garlic butter spread, but that's just personal preference. To be honest I don't really taste much bacon in it.The sandwich was good, but the only downside was that the Dutch crunch bread was toasted too long and quite a bit of my sandwich turned out being burnt. The toppings were all good, but that was the only con of my experience. I also think it would be great to be asked if I want the bread to be toasted how they do it by default or have it lightly toasted and I'm sure some have preferences to not even have them toasted.All in all, this was more of a 3.5 star experience, but I think this has potential to be one of the better sandwich shops in San Bruno and I have to try out the rest of their menu. The customer service is great and the ingredients are good quality. Parking situation can be a bit tough on a busy day especially once Mazra re-opens. That's when it can start to get really difficult. Regardless, I recommend giving The Boy's Deli a try at least.

Sandwiches were very tasty! We got the light tipsy and a custom meatball with pepperoni. Very clean and bright inside with a few seating if you want to dine there. Staff were friendly. We got our order pretty quickly. They share that it was the first time they were open Sunday. Looking forward to coming again!

My friend and I were in the neighborhood and came across this Deli store in walking distance. So we decided to give it a try! It turned out that this became my top 3 sandwich places in the Bay Area! They have a wide selection of sandwiches on their menu and multiple options for bread. We had no idea what to try so simply picked the first 2 on the menu. I got the SanFranPsyco with sour dough bread. It was much better than I expected! The honey turkey was tender and juicy and balanced well with the Gouda cheese, pesto, and garlic spread. The sour dough bread was fresh and crispy. All sandwiches came with veggies but you also have the option to choose what you want to include / exclude. The portion was so large that I could only finish half of it.The shop was pretty small with only 3-4 seats next to the window. There is plenty street parking available near the shop, so parking shouldn't be a problem.

Cute spot, great staff, the food was amazing. Gonna go back tomorrow! Lol Not kidding.

Got some sandwiches here today for the first time. This area has tons of sandwich shops and everyone has an opinion about who has the best sandwiches.I wanted to try a new spot so I decided to get sandwiches from here. I got the san franpsycho and my wife got the godfather. Both sandwiches were solid and tasted great. Will be coming back here again in the future.

I was pretty bummed when we lost Mr.Pickles in San Bruno, but oh boy did The Boys' make this spot even better!!!! The woman who works there is so sweet and friendly. And the sandwiches are delicious and HUGE! I've tried a few of them now and have really enjoyed every one. The sauces are amazing. The meats are fresh. They put lots of pickles which I love! And they have great Mac salad too! I have to force myself to only go here every once in a while or I wouldn't be able to stop myself! I can't wait to go through the whole menu! 100% my favorite deli in the area!

Very friendly staff who were super helpful in guiding my decision on a sandwich. Very tasty and flavorful, would definitely go back and they use Boudin sourdough bread, can't go wrong with this wonderful bread

APR2024Got food for pickup. Service was quick, and the workers are all quite nice. They were helpful with any questions I had. Interior designed for grab and go for sure though there are a few spots you could eat there as well.I had gotten the veggie lovers on wheat. As you expect, a good solid sandwich. I'd certainly stop by again for a quick meal nearby though may have to sacrifice one day for one of the meat sandwiches.

I usually don't care to write but this was one of THE worst experiences I've had with a deli!! I phoned in an order for two sandwiches. The Sanfranpsycho and a NORMAL REGULAR A$$ BLT on a soft roll!!! So I get there, pay for my order and they said t it'll be a minute. Cool, I'm with my daughter and we go sit for a bit. Two more customers roll in after me to order and the one ahead of me just gets his sandwich. Alright, I'm thinking I'm next. So I'm waiting, waiting and finally decided to get some air with my daughter. Come back in after a bit...still no order. Finally after a few minutes I see them bagging two sandwiches. I'm thinking it's mine but as I go up there he starts handing it to the lady that came in way s after me. One of the workers asks me what I ordered and I said "a BLT and the San Franpsycho. "He tells the cashier and the idiot pulls it out and had it already bagged and everything and hands it to me. So he's BEEN had it ready but for whatever reason, just thought I liked to kick it in the shop or something SMFH!Now to the worst part, I get back home to open my regular ass BLT (Bacon, Lettuce, tomato) sandwich up and these clowns literally put just bacon in there!!! No lettuce, no tomatoes, just bacon!!! Gotta be f*ckin kidding me! This is the most basic sandwich in the world so I have no clue how y'all jack that up. Clown establishment for real. Most definitely ain't coming back here. Goofy idiots don't even know how to make a regular a$$ sandwich.
