The Best Thai Food in the South Bay!If you're looking for authentic Thai cuisine, look no further than Thai Soul Kitchen in San Jose. As a native Thai, I can confidently say this is the best Thai restaurant in the South Bay--every dish reminds me of home. Some of my absolute favorites are:# Crispy Pork Belly - perfectly crispy on the outside, tender on the inside.# Crab Fried Rice - generously loaded with sweet, fresh crab meat, perfectly seasoned, and infused with that irresistible wok hei aroma that takes it to the next level.# Tom Sapp Pork Ribs with Herbs - a flavorful and aromatic delight.# Roti with Coconut Ice Cream - the perfect sweet ending to the meal! The restaurant has a warm and cozy atmosphere, so I highly recommend making a reservation to ensure you get a spot. I always sit at the bar, where I not only receive fantastic service but also enjoy great conversations with the owners, Joy and Greg. Their passion for Thai cuisine truly shines through in every dish, ensuring that each bite is authentic, thoughtfully crafted, and made with love.I love this place so much that I try my best to visit 2-3 times a week! If you're a fan of real Thai food, you must check it out. Highly recommend! Hope to see you there.

Located in the Almaden shopping mall is this little gem. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about Thai cuisine. You may pass by this place from the outside because the sign says TS and doesn't display the full name. The food was very tasty. We had the Tom Kha Prawns and the Khow Soy.

Update: still awesome. This Thai restaurant is small but mighty good. Been here 4x now and all the dishes come out perfectly hot and with the right amount of salt/spice. We love the crispy pork (add it to everything!)The couple that owns this place are nice and helpful if you need suggestions. Their menu is extensive so take your time.

Thai Soul is well worth the trip out to Almaden Valley! This small, charming restaurant is run by a husband-and-wife duo, and the wife truly runs the show with grace and efficiency. Acting as both the owner and waitress, she provides warm, attentive service that makes you feel right at home. The space is beautifully decorated, spotless, and inviting, perfect for a cozy meal. Food is authentic and flavorful. From the rich curries to the perfectly spiced noodle dishes, everything we tried was excellent. And let's not forget the beer, it's served icy cold, just the way it should be.

My family and I love Thai food and have tried a number of places in South and North Bay Area. We came here closer to when Thai soul first opened (sorry for the delayed yelp post haha) but thought the food was really good! The owners were kind and friendly and checked in on us and suggested foods based on what our usual favorite dishes were.We got the fried fish, pad kee mao, Panang chicken. The spice level is adjustable and great. We got fried banana ice cream to end the meal which we loved as well. The only thing we didn't like was the pink milk which was super sweet and didn't have a particular flavor (we thought it would be strawberry milk like - to be fair they did warn us that it's target audience is children haha)

We visited on a Saturday evening and it was a full house in this intimate restaurant and it's a very aesthetically pleasing and new-looking restaurant! We got seated right away and staff was nice! The Roti was buttery and delicious with the delicious savory green curry! The pad Thai was spicy and sweet and savory; a really great pad thai! We asked for mild and it was a little spicy and I can taste it and want to keep eating so I loved it, if you can't handle spicy maybe ask for zero spice. The pineapple fried rice was mild spicy and sweet and lots of flavors from the raisins, pineapple, chicken and shrimp and seasonings! The Hung lay was amazing, melt in your mouth tender and sweet and fatty pork. A must-try and new to me!

We came here on a Friday night for my brother in law's birthday. Food overall was definitely on the sweeter side, not sure if it's because we ordered everything mild or not spicy because of the kids. They were short staffed but server was nice. Two of the noodle dishes we order didn't come and when we asked about it, they accidentally didn't put in the order/ the printer may have been having issues. The best dish was the fish followed by the Tom yum (wish it was a bit more sour and spicy though). The restaurant is small and a bit cramp. FYI to use the restroom, you have to walk across the entire kitchen to the back.

Came by for lunch yesterday, the restaurant is small so be prepared to wait/this place is better for smaller parties.I ordered the pad thai with pork belly with no beansprout, initially I confirmed with the server but it still came out with beansprout. I also asked for chili powder but she gave me pickled chilis/fish sauce. The male server had them remake it for me and was really nice about it and brought out everything we needed. The service wasn't bad, still was super friendly and attentive. The portion was huge, the pad thai wasn't bad but didn't wow me. It was a bit too saucy for me and the noodles were overcooked. I wish they also put tofu (usually places add tofu with your protein so it's not all noodles.) My bf ordered the pad see ew, this also wasn't bad but it was reaally sweet. The portion was also huge but mainly noodles & bart any protein or veggies.I would still not come back due to the price point and there are so many thai places in the bay area.

Sure! Here's a polished version of your Yelp review:Best Thai food in the South Bay!This has got to be the BEST Thai food in the South Bay. I'm always on the hunt for great Thai food, and this place exceeded my expectations. I ordered the papaya salad, which came with large, juicy shrimp pieces--such a treat! The Thai green and red curries paired perfectly with the coconut rice, and the Pad Thai was spot on.I took some to share with my sister and her roommate, and they couldn't stop raving about it! We all agreed this place is a gem. I'll definitely be back to dine at the restaurant soon. Also, the food was still super hot when I picked it up and well packed.

This is such a fabulous spot in the Almaden area. The owners are super adorable and very accommodating. The food was stellar, and we devoured everything within 7 minutes. The place is smaller, but they make the space work with all the regular visitors. We will definitely be coming again!
